I have never had any airline actually weigh my personal item (laptop backpack) before this journey. The weird thing is, I was never told about this rule on my journey from the US to India."

When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

Worst thing of all was that the reason of my trip to Paris was my sister's graduation and half of the baggage was my formal wear and other half were presents for my sister! Your lack of transparency ruined one in lifetime special event- MY SISTER'S GRADUATION. I am very glad that you asked me for my opinion because I am using my free time to demand full refund, even tough the damage is much bigger than the cost of the ticket and it's irreplaceable."

The flight crew seemed to made up for much of the delay by flying faster or more directly so the total flight time did not increase by 30 minutes. The flight was 5 hours late, made us miss our connector to Dallas. No more flights to Dallas until Friday. We were only offered the late flight to Istanbul, hotel overnight in Istanbul. A flight to Houston and we’re are stranded from there. Later, I found a flight to Newark, take a Connector Bus (my costs) to JFK, overnight layover 8 hours, and a flight to Dallas from there. I was refused to change to that flight unless I paid $300, my connector, and any hotel costs if I chose one. Having spent the night before in JFK, I absolutely would need the hotel, it is not safe.

We were a party of eight and arrived for boarding very close to deadline (minus posted delays) At the boarding gate we were met by six other passengers. The gate was vacant and closed. The real problem happened at the Turkish Airlines desk where we were treated with arrogance, disdain and absolutely no compassion. AS a matter of fact some of the Turkish Airlines staff smiled as they imposed an outrageous fine to purchase tickets to the next flight and continuation of our previous booking. We intend to protest the charges and contact thru many forms of media inform as many fellow travellers of the incident and subsequent treatment by Turkish Airlines. Social media is a powerful tool and although the cards were held in their favor the night of 9-21-17 our protest will not end here. We are fourteen wounded travellers that have agreed to use as many forms of social media as possible to get our message out."

Then on the flight I was told they only do vegetarian which was not good enough. I had already selected my seat prior to boarding which I paid hundreds of dollars for. Then after boarding the flight crew asked me and the gentleman sitting next to me to move our seats to accomodate for another man that wanted to sit next to his wife. Then I was stuck in a middle seat and I paid for an isle seat. I thought this was rediculous. No one offered me a discount or anything! And the man that wanted to sit next to his wife wouldn't let the plane leave till he was sitting next to his wife. What was I supposed to do? Hold up the plane even longer? This was so crazy!! Outrageous!"

I spent over $40 international calls just to reschedule my flight, only to have to take a $80 cab to the airport to have a human help me. Worst customer service and worst experience. I was trying to get home after a natural disaster struck my hometown and Turkish Airlines actually made that experience even worse. At no point did anyone even apologize for cancelling two of my flights without another option until a full week later. I had to pay to fly myself home from Boston because they were so unhelpful. Would never recommend Turkish Airlines to anyone I know whn traveling internationally."

I wouldn't have minded at all but my seat and the one next to it didnt recline anywhere near as much as every other seat in the whole airplane. I knew this information based on online reviews, but the airline itself never did anything to offer this, I had to walk around on the airport, for like 2 hours I could not find decent help and some instructions in broken English. I had to pay 25 Euros to get mi visa stamped and walk out of the airport. The Turkish Airlines attendant that set up the free hotel for us, walked us to a shuttle that would drive us to the hotel, but the shuttle driver got lost? or something happened that caused for him to drive around town for more than an hour, speaking on the phone loudly in Turkish and completely ignoring us when we asked questions, This got a little scary since we had no idea what was going on, at some point we were in the middle of a dark residential area, and listening to the driver yell on the phone (god knows what). Luckily a driver came over and guided us to the hotel, but seriously, they should be careful about who they hire for these kind of tasks. (I posted a video on instagram with footage of the guy driving us around in case my family needed to find me)."

Today two planes arrived in LIS from IST, none of them with our luggage. Screen shows my name with mention "Not loaded" regarding the luggage. This incompetence is unacceptable from "Europe's best airline". This title is misleading advertising and should not be allowed."

I had asked a flight attendant for a glass of water and was never brought water until I asked someone else. The check-in personnel and flight attendants seemed to have no knowledge of toddlers traveling with a carseat, so I had to explain to them that he travels with his carseat or he manages to get out of his seatbelt. They made some calls to see if it was fine to bring the carseat onboard and finally gave us the ok, which we were very grateful for. When it was time to board and also to exit the aircraft it was a very slow process...much slower than usual. Most airlines have you boarding 30 minutes prior to your flight, but we were still standing around waiting."

Pros: "We enjoyed everything about our Lufthansa experience. Crew and flight attendants were very kind and attentive throughout the entire flight. On both of our international flights my wife and I had 4 seats to ourselves, which allowed us to stretch out much more comfortably. Flights were on time, landings smooth, online entertainment worked great, food was delicious, and the service outstanding."

Cons: "I was denied boarding on the Dublin to Munich leg of my connecting flight from Newark to Munich. My ticket was booked through Lufthansa, but the transatlantic leg of my trip was operated by United. When checking in with United in Newark, I received two boarding passes, one for each leg of the trip. I arrived on time in Dublin for my flight to Munich and tried to board the plane for Munich with the boarding pass I had printed in Newark. After scanning my ticket, the Lufthansa employees at the gate informed me that they had no record of me or my plane ticket in their system. I showed them the email confirmation for my ticket, but they still could not find any record of my ticket in their online system. The employees seemed more concerned with boarding all passengers as quickly as possible than assisting me. After being denied boarding, I had to go back through passport control to change my flight, and ended up getting to Munich nearly 6 hours behind schedule and missed an entire day of vacation. A Lufthansa employee told me that out of every partner in the STAR alliance, United is the ONLY airline they have had this problem with. I find this inexcusable, I will be AVOIDING ANY United/Lufthansa connecting flight from now on."

Loo's are not maintained. Crew too rude. Had called a flight attendant for service but didn't show up until an hour (exactly an hour). Later I had to get up and take it. Can write an essay on my whole journey."

Cons: "Business class seats were regular seats with the middle seat unused. The "meal" on this early flight (had to leave the house around 4:30am to get to it) was light. I'm glad I had the time to stop at the business lounge first. I don't recall any entertainment system, which isn't a big issue on this short flight."

Cons: "I'm only 5'2" (157cm) and slim but could barely move in my seat, and if the person in front leaned seat back, it was terrible. Food was lame, really salty and they did not come around with water enough."

Cons: "I had bulkhead (50A) and that seat gives a little less legroom due to the wall so my feet were often resting against the wall. Plus that seat has the A/V in the armrest which is not allowed to be on during takeoff and landing, meaning I couldn't start a movie until after takeoff and I couldn't watch the flight camera during landing."

Food quality really need to be improved
The flight was a transit and I had my boarding pass from the departure. I have talked to the check in person to set me up close to my family seats and ended up with my wife in one seat, 3 years old son in different seat and myself on different seat. very disappointing and overwhelming.
all good. crew wasnt attentive to the announcements they were making about the flight. made several mistakes at several tines while announcing destination, arrival time. first officer made this mistake too.

Booking reference: WFYQEG I was informed that I will receive my baggage in Dammam Airport, later on I arrived in Dammam and I didn’t get my baggage, they claimed due to my friend Mr. Faisal didn’t show because he left the Airport and drive his own car all the way to Dammam. OK, I get it and I totally respect the system when you don’t show up your baggage get dropped from the flight, but it’s not my fault when i stay in Bahrain Airport waiting for my next flight around 5 hours then once i get to Dammam I don’t receive my baggage, because my friend who’s didn’t show up his baggage was arrived to Dammam airport, and i’m the one who deserve to get his own baggage didn’t receive anything. I think you mixed up between our baggage, the tag on my bag has his name but actually it’s mine and his bag has my name but actually it’s for him, that’s why I received his bag in DMM airport and I didn’t get mine and i was so frustrated. They even refused to check if I have made an online chick in. The gulf air online system, did not show me that I have made an online checkin. Unfortunately, the problem was solved by asking someone who work in the airport ( not gulf airlines representative) to check if I have made and online check in and to issue me a ticket to pass through the security control"

Cons: "Gulf air has decided to do "silent boarding" - so we were late boarding our flight because even though we watched the gate- it never filled up, there were never lines, no announcements, no lights signaling anything. Our captain took VERY sharp and hard dips and turns during our flight. He even dropped altitude so quickly that some women on board yelled out in terror. No announcements were made as well by the crew or captain regarding these very uncommon experiences of turbulence or announcements to remain with ones seat belt fastened. Finally, the man driving the bus from the plane to the door at Manama airport was too busy talking to the men who decided to sit in the front seat of the passenger bus and not look on the road in a busy air traffic area. I'm literally blown away at how everyone was safe and made it from point a to point b. I'm also horrified at the lack of communication or safety precautions."

Pros: "The crew is extremely attentive without being intrusive. They provided anything we requested. Food was excellent. The hot towels, mint lemonade, and dates before takeoff were great touches. The business class seats are the same ones I've seen in 1st Class on other carriers. Holding a business ticket earns you access to the Falcon Gold lounge in Bahrain where we also received excellent service and ate great food. They are clearly trying to earn recognition as a top airline."
