Pros: Loved our deluxe suite room that had sliding doors which kept each room very quiet even when watching tv with the volume turned up in one room. The push button controls were really cool for the lights and privacy settings. Enjoyed the free breakfast at Atrio and the friendly service from everyone there especially the host. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and were able to accommodate a late checkout of 2pm for us. Appreciated the unique designs and architecture of the hotel. Liked that it was located right next to the World Trade Center, and of course Shake Shack. Liked using the exercise room and business center which were very clean and well maintained. Overall it was a very relaxing and pleasant stay.
Cons: Nothing really except that there was no swimming pool or entertainment room with a pool table or table tennis.

Pros: The Roxy is an indulgence in the best of ways. It's charming and comfortable. Well appointed and close to transit. The staff is friendly and attentive. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but it was delicious. We were sort of sad we went elsewhere for Sunday brunch... The spread is amazing.
Cons: There are few negatives to the Roxy, honestly. Location is good, but not great- safety was not a concern. Just don't expect to walk out the door and be somewhere, you'll need to hop the train or a cab. The space is comfortable, but the pillows (like most hotels') were worthless.

We were told we would be called on our cell shortly after we got there to inform us the room was ready and we were never called. Cons: Charged a $30/day facility fee for access to the gym and common areas of the hotel. Staff refused to remove this from the final folio. Rooms which aren’t classified as a suite are downright uncomfortable to spend time in. While the bed was ok, the desk chair was intolerably uncomfortable to sit in for more than a few minutes. The carpeting was dirty, walls were cracked, and charging outlets for your devices were scarce. The room I selected was a king deluxe.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the hotel- It was very close to the 911 memorial and the Brooklyn Bridge where we were touring. The rooms were on the small side but very comfortable and clean and modern. All possible accommodations were even in the small space. Staff was lovely and the dining room at the top of the hotel had a great view.
Cons: Breakfast was great- food good and the views unbeatable- however the staff was little unprepared. Omelet station ran out of gas- food took a little while to get replenished - All in all everything was corrected and since we were in no hurry- it wasn't really a problem.

Good food and drink in hotel bar and lounge. Room is well appointed including a bathrobe, various bathroom products, blow dryer, well stocked minibar fridge and snacks (costs extra). Solid wifi.
Cons: The desk and chair in the room were uncomfortable. I spent the majority of my waking time in the room there on a business trip. That and there's no other space in the hotel to sit quietly. The downstairs lounge is not really a sit and linger sort of space. Plus at night the downstairs lounge and bar become a nightclub with DJ. Which is great for pleasure travelers, but is a pain for business traveling. Would stay again for fun, but not for business.

Pros: Every Associate we encountered was excellent; very warm, helpful and accommodating. Our 10th floor room was cozily decorated in darker tones and neutral accents. The furnishings were appealing, well built, and fitted to the room with adequate room to maneuver throughout. The bed was extremely comfortable and we left it each morning feeling rested and recharged. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in while traveling. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and was supplied as expected for this level of Accommodation. (I have managed hotels and know first hand that, even the appearance of clean, is impossible on white porcelain and ceramic tile. Exterior noise from inside the building went mostly unnoticed; city noise was acceptable without the a/c fan running but we set it to blow continuously and the city outside mostly faded away (A/C blew worked excellent). Amenities are as advertised; the lounge atmosphere and appearance brings to mind an image of a1920's / 30's sitting parlour - comfortable, elegant, and well suited for drinks, work, meeting a coworkers or friends. On the weekend we stayed, the lounge was fused with music of the runway, the city and SoHo. It was an excellent kickoff for our evening with friends. The location could not have been better for us; subway - entrance on same block; restaurants - all around; cabs - always;
Cons: Minibar prices were beyond excessive (I wondered if I was staying in an Airport grab-n-go) Room services prices - also excessive - (see: Oatmeal) The Following Falls Under "...if that's all he can complain about...." (these were the only negatives I could remember; most likely because they were encountered repeatedly) : The drawer-pull's on the main chest of drawers were very difficult to get a hold of. If I had long nails, or carried traditional keys, I could have hooked these without a problem; alas, neither is the case. Although the stairs were our preferred method of "up and down"; we found it challenging to get from our floor (10th), to our friends floor (7th), via the elevator. The pass key security system didn't seem to allow exit onto a floor other than our own.

Pros: This hotel has been on my list of places to stay since it opened up so I was very excited to finally get here, albeit maybe 10 yrs later... The decor was beautiful and the staff were all excellent. This includes valet and maids that you pass in the halls.
Cons: Unfortunately the state of our room was a little disappointing. We did check in early so it's possible they rushed to clean it. Our room was a roasting 78 degrees when we got there and the thermostat was clearly set to 80. The window barely opened so it did not provide much relief and switching over to AC only helped cool the room by the next morning. It was HOT and dry!!! Second disappointing thing was the used toilet paper still in the toilet. I also was challenged in my ability to flush it away, so I can see how it got left behind. Third thing was the random hair pins I kept finding throughout the room...

Pros: Second time staying here in 3 months. Love the location and quality. Able to check in early and check out late this trip, which really helped our itinerary (was rushing into town to go straight to my workshop, so it was nice to check in quickly and be able to put bags in room instead of leaving with concierge). Also was able to upgrade to a king bed since my boyfriend came down with me last minute. Staff was super accommodating. Close to 1/2/3 and C/E trains, as well as a couple blocks from 6/N/R/Q/W trains, so it was easy to get around to east or west side. I'm a light sleeper and find these rooms to be on the quieter side (we were facing the back of hotel, which faces downtown).
Cons: No fridge in room. Definitely a business feel to hotel, but didn't really make a difference to me. In fact, I chose the Sheraton bc in NYC hotels can vary widely and I found that chain hotels give a good consistent experience no matter the location.

Pros: This is a nice hotel with small but well-designed rooms and a wonderful club lounge with views of downtown NY all the way up to the Empire State Building. It's a Sheraton and really fits comfortably within the Sheraton brand - so what you'd expect from a Sheraton is all there - plus the beautiful club lounge.
Cons: If you have to park, it's expensive. We didn't have to use their service as we stayed Saturday night and you can park in NY on Sunday.

Cons: This hotel has an attitude of over pricing everything, adding on fees including tips (that frankly aren't deserved) and having a staff that doesn't do much. When I checked out the man at the desk was flat out lying to the woman he had on the phone and when he hung up I said "Well she's going to be disappointed" and he smiled and laughed. We didn't even have a chance to ask for silverware, which one of us was missing. We shared until we could get someones attention. Not an easy task here as they seem to go with the NYC theory, Don't make eye contact. When we were finished I asked the wait staff for our check (I hadn't seen our waitress in a while). We waited, and waited, and waited. I finally saw our waitress by the bar so I went over and asked for the check. All in all, a mediocre experience. The only plus is the location. I won't return. Not really worth the $$$.

Cons: A/C worked well but was very loud especially with something loose inside that made a clunking noise constantly while the A/C ran. I called down after the first night to see if could be addressed. Engineering was sent while we were out but the problem wasn't fixed. We got in too late to deal with the second so had to try prob a chair against it to dampen the noise :(

Pros: I didn't do a ton of research on Hotel Indigo before booking my stay and arriving at the hotel. We were in NY for a wedding and we received a discounted room rate as negotiated by the groom. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is hip and clean and in a great location. The proximity to Katz's is worth it. There is also really great coffee in this neighborhood. Try Ludlow right across the street from the hotel or Cafe Vita only a few blocks south. I would say the due to the room rate discount we were pretty lucky with the price we paid as the hotel was booking around $500 per night (their regular fee). I would say that $500 is over priced for that hotel but $350 or lower is a great deal.
Cons: Because there is a seemingly popular bar on the 15th floor of hotel you can run into some characters when it is just time to go to bed. Also when coming back home for the night the door man acts as security so you have to your room key on you in order to just get through the door. The receptionist warned us about this so we were prepared but I thought it was a little annoying. However as a guest of the hotel you get restaurant and bar privileges so there is no wait for you to get in.

You're close to JFK by taking the A from Fulton street subway which is close. Cons, the hotel has 50 floors and only 3 elevators, long wait at times not such a big deal. And there's no microwaves of fridges so it's not an extended stay Overall if you are here for business or a short stay this is a great hotel. It's not too loud outside either

Pros: The location was prime. Especially if you're staying in the area for buisness. View was amazing. Staff was VERY friendly. Left some medication in my room after check out and they let me back into the room to grab it. The staff could work on giving better directions, but they were friendly and eager to help. Everything was clean and new. Also was nice cherry on top to be able to stay you've stayed at the tallest Holiday Inn in the world. Bar area was nice and bartender was friendly and offered us a free drink. Would certainly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Financial District of Manhattan.

Also, the parking was a few blocks away, not well marked and a bit pricey (it is NYC after all). It was a bit of a hike to get to Central Park, Times Square etc. but the Statue of Liberty and 9/11 memorial/Freedom Tower are a short walk. No need for a cab or subway.

Pros: King bed room on 39th floor at Holiday Inn Express located at 99 Washington Street in the financial district of New York City. Room was small but cozy with a comfortable king sized bed, a medium sized flat screen TV, good towels (not the scratchy thin kind you sometimes get at lesser hotels) toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and lotion). Plenty of outlets to charge whatever devices you may have and our room had a nice enough view too. Friendly staff. When checking out, we asked the desk woman if we could possibly leave our duffel bag while we walked around the city for a while and she was very accommodating with a pleasant smile and demeanor. My wife and I agreed that she seemed like the perfect employee as you'd see in a commercial. Smiling genuinely, appearing very neatly dressed and helpful to customers. Job very well done.

We very clearly heard someone getting ice as if they were in our room with us and we heard a couple speaking as they entered their very nearby room but each incident occurred only once so it didn't really bother us or take away from our otherwise very good experience.

Pros: I rarely write reviews but our stay at Hoilday Inn LES was perfect as it was three blocks away from my family we were visiting. We booked two rooms for the price of one boutique hotel in the neighborhood. The rooms were clean and modern. I've stayed in luxury hotels like the Ritz and boutique hotels like the Kimptons. This Holiday Inn room reminded me of the W Hotel in San Francisco (size, style, etc. less one down comforter). The staff was always courteous and helpful. Free WiFi! could use their "e-room" to use computer or print boarding passes. Free complementary toiletries if you forgot something. Air conditioner was amazing. Showers and water pressure were awesome. Room was very quiet. This will be our go-to hotel from now on in NYC.

Pros: Great location, if you can tolerate Times Square. Stayed in a king corner room on the 16th floor. Wife and I loved the bed, the view, and the bathroom. Subway doesn't get any closer, entrance is immediately outside lobby door. Gym was spacious, if you need that. Didn't try the bar/restaurant, just too many other choices in Manhattan. For that matter, nice bathroom and comfy bed is all we needed, as we weren't looking to waste time sitting in the hotel.
Cons: Again, location is great as long as you want to be very close to Times Square and all that comes with it. Noise of the city is audible on the 16th floor, but wasn't a problem for either of us sleeping through it. Wifi has a fee, but you can avoid it if you sign up for IHC membership.

We had to talk to other a couple others in the hotel who gave us recommendations and we got tickets for a little over 130 ea. Seems lazy or completely unaware - probably shouldn't be the concierge.

Only minor negatives: Room service food, particularly breakfast, isn't really that good, which forced us to start going out for breakfast ( 3 out of 5 stars). However no worries because it's NYC so there is plenty of food around. Location isn't the greatest, but it's close enough ( 4 out of 5 starts). The 9/11 memorial is right across the street, which is convenient, but other than that, you'll generally be taxiing or ubering everywhere. My boyfriend forgot his keys and didn't realize until we were back in DC. The great news is that the housekeeper did turn in the keys, but the guy in the list and find area was being a dick, asking him the most ridiculous questions... We still haven't received the keys either. Hopefully they actually send them.

Pros: Friendly staff. Nothing to complain. Good location and easy access to go anywhere.
Cons: The water running in the bathroom when i shower, the water pressure was to strong when i was washing my hands that every time i had to clean around me the water splashing and the towels where not clean. It shounds ridiculous but it's really. I don't complain just to be a pain in the a.. but to help them fix those problems.

Cons: This Hilton Doubletree is in dire need of renovation, and not up to the usual Hilton property standards. The elevators were extremely slow to arrive and frequently stopping at floors where there were no passengers. Often, one of the three elevators was not working, causing waits of over ten minutes. Also, the room was showing it's age, with the covering on the desk chair being worn and peeling, and the hem of the widow curtain was torn. Overall, very disappointing.

Cons: Water was not working on two occasions. One of 3 elevators (in a 46 floor building) was not working causing 15-20 waits to go down/upstairs. Not a good thing when you are on the 26th floor.

Pros: The staff of this hotel was great. The bed was comfortable. It was clean.
Cons: The room was loud. Even at a high floor I could hear everything that happened outside my door or next door. Also things in the room showed wear: broken outlets and cracked tiles. The first floor entrance is confusing and gross--it smelled like damp and mold. The a/c/heater was so loud I just turned it off at night because it would wake me up.

Pros: Location and price were great. Room was clean, well-appointed and functional albeit small.
Cons: Elevators. 3 elevators for 44 floors is simply insufficient. I had to wait for elevators every time I went down. At check out time it took me over 15 minutes and 4 missed elevators to get downstairs. I would've walked but for my 3 large bags. I can only imagine how long the waits are when one of the elevators goes down or the hotel is particularly busy.

Pros: The hotel has a modern, slightly industrial feel with cement ceilings and exposed beams, which I liked. The bathroom is similar to recently updated Hyatts but the living/sleeping space is much more trendy. I liked the floor to ceiling windows and the light fixtures. Our king suite has a great little sitting area, too. The most important thing was that the location cannot be beat. We didn't take a taxi once! There are lots of great bars, restaurants and clubs in the area but the subway stop nearby makes everything easy.
Cons: The walls don't seem very well insulated. We were woken up at 3:30am by our rowdy neighbors opening and shutting their door and talking.

Pros: Stunning penthouse. Recommended for absolutely amazing views and parties.
Cons: At times, tough to get ice up to the room as there are two elevators to the area - sometimes one could not hear the knocking. Solution, Keep the doors open so that they can walk in without difficulty.

Cons: Cleanliness was lacking. I hate having dirt on my floors when I check in. It gives me a sense that housekeeping is not thorough and leads me to believe they skimp on other cleaning duties. There was a lot of noise outside our door. Could hear other doors being closed at 3 am. If your in your 20’s-30’s, it’s a pretty cool place. Not so much for families with kids.

Pros: This cozy hotel was awesome--location, kind & helpful staff, etc. Was lucky to get a room with large outside terrace..perfect for a night of summer rain. Romantic!
