Staff was helpful and attentive. Rooms were clean, light was good and so was having the outlets for devices. Great service of offering the small items one needs or my have forgotten like toothpaste and deodorant. Making this service known. Thanks Better food selection.
I was handed a nice glass of wine upon arrival, then my room was upgraded. The staff was very nice, helpful and accommodating. My room was on a high floor and exceptionally quiet for a NYC hotel.
For NYC room was large enough and well decorated and maintained. Very nice and accomodating staff. Love the location. Would stay there again. Would like to know about discounts and specials as I have family in the earea and will use the hotel w some frequency.

this is a wonderful little boutique hotel. service is friendly yet sophisticated. housekeeping is excellent. Location is perfect if you need to be near NYU. we've booked another stay.
The room was very small and was not ready for check in when we got there. We were told we would be called on our cell shortly after we got there to inform us the room was ready and we were never called. We were then charged a fee for checking out an hour after check out and was never told a fee was going to be assessed. I found out when I check my credit card statement later that day.
All in all the hotel was ok, but the staff was so extremely obnoxious that I would never in a million years consider staying there again.
Accomodating staff, welcome beverages, clean lines and fresh modern design. Great TV in room, comfortable bedding, exceptional bath. Our room was a bit small, but overall the hotel feels like a European boutique hotel. Great Location in lower Manhattan The rooms are a bit small.

I loved the lobby and welcoming portion of the hotel I also enjoyed the view of east village from my hotel room on the 10th floor.
Staff was very nice. Room service was prompt. Phone didn't work. Cable didn't have all channels. One girl says can't do late checkout while another says no problem?
The hotel was very interesting architecturally and made it enjoyable to visit. The staff was very attentive for the most part, especially the door / bell staff. The hotel bar wasn't very well stocked, and it was difficult at times to get service because there was only one "front desk" person on duty. When they were taking care of other guests, you didn't have good access to them. Electrical outlets in the guest room need to be more accessible.
Great location and inexpensive Spartan. Clean but the toilet leaked onto the floor, the heat was sporadic, and only one thin blanket was provided.
Great location No elevators, no AC , payment is cash only.
Not a bad place to stay for a night or two, but not longer than that. If you're a college student on a budget, I would recommend. The cash only part did throw me off.
How is this hotel available for online bookings? When I arrived for a business trip, I walked upstairs to the check-in hallway (not a lobby) to meet a man behind plexiglass who told me that the hotel is CASH ONLY but there was an ATM I could use (for a large fee). I was given a key card to my room that was up another flight of stairs at the end of a long hallway. This is clearly a rent-by-the-hour establishment. My room barely fit a full bed and the window in my room opened to a cement chute. No light here! (For a size comparison, think half the size of an interior budget cabin on a cruise ship). It was late so I decided I could suffer through one night. I have stayed at Red Roof Inns with nicer amenities, though. The radiator sounded asthmatic and kept me up most of the night. The bathroom had sandpaper towels (one of which was terribly stained), a shower with no hot water and poor water pressure, and a tiny bar of soap and half-filled bottle of shampoo. No conditioner, lotion, washcloths, hair dryer, or even glasses for water. There is a warning on your receipt when you check in that the management is not responsible for any personal property left in the room. If you want to secure your things while you are out, you have to check them behind the plexiglass in the tiny "office." The worst part of my stay was that when I woke up, I felt itchy. I couldn't shake the feeling all day. After my business meetings I booked a red-eye home and forfeited the second night stay. AVOID!
