Location No elite services on weekends - $ charge to print out boarding pass - failed to clean room - front desk staff was not guest oriented - platinum member - will look for other hotels.
Very Nice Hotel with a lot of action Expensive
Location was perfect . Check in and check out is very easy and staff was very friendly . We request for double bed and sofa we paid more to get room like that but sofa was too old to sleep on and they bring us roller bed but matteres was very uncomfortable that u can feel all the metal under the sheet.
The is the one of the best locations in the theater district. Most of the major theaters are located within three blocks of the hotel. The same day ticket office is located yards away from the hotel so you can get up early to get your ticket and then return to your room. The hotel entrance is right off times square. The hotel is clean large and and the staff is very friendly and efficient. Many family oriented dining establishments are nearby as well as easy access to the subway and various tour operators. The hotel is large and is used as a convention facility. So if you do not like large crowds and being in the location that is busy and very active during the evening hours, this is not the place for you.
People at front desk were nice The customer service at the view lounge was terrible. The lady that served us did not believe that we enter staying at the hotel and Saud very loud that the room number that we gave her did not exist and I showed her my key. She was very rude we felt embarrased.
Location Response time of the staff and high cost to eat hotel restaurant...
View Restaurant staff was great! Nice suite with view of Broadway. Construction noise in the morning.
We loved our view of the city, the lady at front desk upgraded our room at no charge, clean rooms, friendly staff, within walking distance of everything, will definitely stay here again Breakfast buffet way overpriced for the quality
Great location and some great views. They apperently give every person in the hotel access to the executive lounge. I'm used to a crowd at times but this was crazy. They need to either expand the lounge or enforce the entry policy.
The did not clean the room very well
The View Restaurant was absolutely amazing. Room was lovely. Staff was knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Leaving!
Our stay was fine. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. As one would expect for $400/night. The ticket counter for local shows was very helpful/convenient. automated elevator system crammed too many people into each trip testing the fire alarm system each day that we stayed very uncomfortable sofa bed mattress (felt every spring)
It was close to all the places we wanted to see. Walk to Times Square, subway nearby, etc.. Lots of restaurants all around. We had a corner room so view in 2 directions! Nothing
Clean room with a comfortable bed. The hotel is very centrally located with many attractions close by. Staff was very efficient and friendly. The walls are paper thin and we had very loud neighbors. We could hear everything going on in the room next door. Unfortunately the neighbors were very inconsiderate and we had to call down to security to ask them to be quiet.
Very clean, great location! I have stayed here a few times and always have a nice time there. The cleaning staff is so friendly. The food at the hotel is very expensive. I searched all over for an atm machine and couldn't find one. The lines for the elevator can be a bit long
Great location. Close to Times Square, Central Park, and Rockefeller Center. Large rooms for a New York hotel. Very professionally run and business like facility. High energy level with constant activity in the public areas. It isn't cheap but you can easily pay more for less value in NYC.
Location, Location For the money we aid, we should have a t lest a coffe maker in room/water
Location check in staff
Room service. Cold, stale food
Great location, good room comfort. When you book the price seems to be great, but then you find that the Internet is not included and also the bagage keeping has a cost.
Bathroom look old!
clean and mid town so all the attraction you can cover by walk breakfast was not included while we expected bed and breakfast
Nice sized room for NY. Updated and modern. Heat was stuck on high and it was super hot. Luckily the windows work and we could get a cold breeze. Pillows were fluffy and flat at the same time.
Location of the Crowne Plaza Times Square was perfect and centrally located. The Concierge, Corinne, was amazing. She gave great tips, directions, and was so personable and friendly. Our room was awesome, with a great view. The exercise facility was great, many areas to work out in and a large variety of equipment. All staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time.
Service, location, beds, rooms were right size, showers.
The most unfriendly staff I have encountered at a hotel
The location was good. Their concierge staff were nice . Check in was quick .we were givin compound of 2 free complimentary drinks from their bar but we did nit use it.wifi was included in the service fees but also I did not need to use it. When I checked in the toilet was ful of hair & there was a nail on the toilet table .generally the housekeeping service is not good. I noticed that paper napkin was not refilled as if they are saying you have to use one box per stay
Great hotel if you're a tourist and want to be in Times Square - easy walking distance to many attractions and not too far can / uber ride to others. The rooms were nice and clean, the maids always bought us new soaps, razors, toothpaste, towels etc. some of the staff are seriously awful. My partner has a severe allergy to nuts, and we had issues with two waiters there who seemed preoccupied and had to ask a manager to go and confirm if there was nuts in a dish she wanted for dinner or not. The waiter made us feel awful and then progressively got ruder (getting in our faces, yelling, etc) after the manager had been involved. We did get given a few free drinks and a box of chocolates from management (although she couldn't have the chocolates due to nuts) But otherwise we had a lovely stay, only ruined by a few staff members who need to learn if you work in a service job it's part of your job to at least TRY and be polite and understanding!
My wife has a convention here once a year in January so I tag along. We had a stunning view of Broadway and Times Square from our corner room on the 45th floor (out of 46). Room was clean. Service is friendly and courteous. Bell Captain kept our bags for us after checkout so we could do a bit of sight-seeing until we had to go to the airport. When it was time to get our bags, he walked them down to the taxi stand for us and made sure we had a cab. Wi-fi seemed a bit slow.
It was in a perfect location in Times Square. A few blocks from the subway. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Needs some updating/maintenance. For the price you pay for location, seems they could upkeep better. All 3 drawers in our dresser didn't close properly, off track or something. Bathrooms could use some new caulk, gappy and dirty looking.
Great accommodating staff. Helpful concierge. So close to Times Square & all the theaters, so perfect for the 1st time visitor. Clean & comfortable. Beds are nice & cozy. Pool is part of the gym inside the building, so it's only a lap pool. Not for lounging & definitely not for kids. There is a sauna which would be nice in the winter. Very busy hotel! Not a relaxing lobby or even many places to sit (only 4 chairs & some makeshift areas around the plants)! No mini fridge in room.
Location, Location, Location!
Location Paid $275 for after show party in the restaurant All they had was 4-5 items of Chinese food and open bar. No menus for food nor drinks. Grumpy wait staff.
Location was good They dont encourage people booking hotel from other web sites They prefer it from there site and they help them only . I was staying in hotel for times square view Not for other view Overall worat experience
The website we booked from describes the upper lounge which no longer exists. The in-room guide describes the Room Service Menu. Room service no longer exists.
definitely a different style hotel but we still loved the concept. staff was very friendly. we would definitely stay here again. since there wasn't any superfluous people like bell boys or concierge desks, I wish I saw a lil more savings and value in the price to stay here.
Private rooftop bar and cozy lobby hangout space. European style breakfast lounge and 24 hr snack pantry. Room was small (though big for New York!) yet thoughtfully laid out with clever use of space. Fun/funky upscale low key vibe just perfect. Midtown location excellent for exploring NYC and checking out theatre scene. Daily complimentary bottled water. Friendly, helpful staff If you pay for your breakfasts when you check in you save a couple bucks vs. paying on day of. I can understand that you'd want to have an estimate of how many diners they will be but, come on, this felt a little nickel and dime-y when everything else was so seamless.
Being close to Broadway, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. The staff was very helpful.
Location Room facility
Place, location, access, and security
Location Poor a/c - room was very warm. Bathroom was small and bed wasn't that comfortable
Very good, central location on 7th Avenue. Just a few blocks from Times Square, Central Park, immediately adjacent to Broadway...can easily walk (or use subway) to anywhere in Midtown. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Had a decent breakfast bar in the lobby with very kind, courteous employees staffing it. Was an enjoyable visit every morning, though it's primarily only got muffins, fruit, and coffee. Room was very minimalist and small. Bed was not particularly comfortable. TV only has a few channels and reception was fuzzy on about half of them. Wi-fi is not free - costs roughly $15 per day, less if you buy several days' worth of usage up front. Noise from the street below was pretty noticeable; it would have been very difficult to tune it out completely had I not been using ear plugs. Basically, it's cheaper than the other (nicer, I would assume) hotels in the area, but the location could make it worthwhile if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room...and it's NYC, so why would you? Spend a lot of time out in Manhattan, making use of the great location, and you won't mind the facilities as much.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for our needs. The hotel is tired and worn. It needs an injection of cash to update and refresh the rooms and fixtures. It wasn't the worst place to stay because it was clean and the location was great. The front desk was understaffed at both check-in and check-out. This created long lines and long waits. We had to wait an hour for our room to be ready because they were behind on their turn-overs and we arrived at 8PM. They need to hire more staff for peak times.
The location was ideal as it was close to tourist attractions. Lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had a very festive luxurious feel. The rooms however were comfortable, standard but clean and gave Bath and Body Works as complimentary toiletries which was a nice touch. Staff were also friendly. Chargable WIFI - We live in a day and age where communication abroad is important to some. Free WIFI should've been included with the room as it wasn't cheap to book here and would be nice if it was complimentary like other hotels in the area. Also we stayed in room 754 where the air con fan wouldn't switch off (in December)!
Noise from nearby club was very present in the room every night until 2AM
Perfect location. Great value for money.
Location 1. No communication by hotel staff. They tried to place us in a room that is half the size of a regular room without even telling us when we checked in. We found about this when we actually entered the room. After that we had to reconcile this very uncomfortable and unexpected experience. 2. Hotel management spent 10 minutes explaining how they cannot keep the fully paid room and that upon check in they will place and assign the room of their availability. Why bother and pay in advance if there is no guarantee? 3. We didn't feel hospitality was there at all. It truly came across as just another place interested in making money rather than building long lasting experience 4. Hotel is definitely run down and it stinks super bad. 5. We would not recommend this hotel and definitely would not have given it 3 stars. Stay some place else!
Location Too noisy
Great Location and wonderful people made this place worth being in NYC!!! Nothing...
Location was fantastic, as it was easily accessible to Central Park and train stations. Breakfast selection was great, since it was included in part of the $40 per day per person deal. I am having mixed feelings about the $40 per day per person charge, since the only benefit to someone who is on a business trip might be the breakfast (which was great). But I guess everyone might want an option to opt in or out for such fees. Housekeeping was bad - requested some extra hangers/hairdryer at night but never came. I had to remind them the next morning for it. Same deal when they make up the room - sometimes they are missing bottles of water, others they forget to replenish towels. No standardization in the process. I do not exactly feel the five stars was well deserved as compared to other hotels.
Awesome location Beautiful lobby and bar Small bathroom Bath tub had peeling paint Room was directly across from the elevators (which were loud)
The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient, especially Justyna from Reception/Reservation. Location is awesome. The hotel has a great security policy. We felt secured. The hotel physical looks need to be updated and maintained. This may upgrade the hotel in general and compete with other hotels in the area.
Hotel location is wonderful. Walking distance from so many NYC landmarks.
everything, the history of it, the staff, the decor too bad the restaurant closed
Location wasn't too bad. Very close to Times square. Walking distance to Broadway shows and shops. Extremely small bathroom with no ventilation. Walls are thin. Could here everything going on outside like the windows we open even though they weren't. No dresser to put clothes in. Very basic. Loud air conditioner. Laundry facilities would help a lot! Took forever to get an elevator bc they were always full. St Front desk staff not so friendly. Conceirse service not useful at all. Didn't even try to help us figure out things to do. Very disappointed.
I thought the hotel had some very positive attributes such as the entertance to the building and the location of the hotel but these positive atrributes were over shadowed by the disappointing service I had encountered here I was extremely unsatisfied with the service at the hotel. When I first arrived in my hotel room I found that the bathroom door knob was somewhat broken and the toilet handle was difficult to use making it hard to flush at times. My room was supposed to come with a coffee maker in it and there was not one. I was not upset with that fact but what did upset me was that when I called to have one delivered, I was told that one would be brought up right away. This however was not the case, I called the front desk again about 20 or so minutes later and they apologized and told me one would be sent up. Another 15 minutes went by and I was still kept waiting for the coffee maker. I called the front desk for a third time and they transferred me somewhere in the hotel where I was told that the person that was to bring the coffee went on lunch, considering I called way before noon this was very frustrating. After waiting a whole hour I finally received the coffee machine and to my surprise was just a simple keurig machine that anyone could of brought up to my room. Another issue that I faced here was upon checking out. I had called the front desk an hour and a half before it was time to check out to have them send security to my room because the safe was no longer working and to have them bring my car out of the parking garage, they asked for my ticket number which was to be given to me by the doorman at my arrival, sadly no such ticket was given to me when the doorman took my car.The front desk basically told me there was nothing they could do without the ticket number and sent my call to the doorman for him to assist me. I waited on the line and the phone just continued to ring with no response. I called back to the front desk after a period of time because I was still waiting for security to open the safe and to get the car issue settled and ended up being transferred from person to person and no one was helping me locate my car. It became evident that I would have to go to the front desk to get this handle because nothing was getting handled. At the desk they insisted that I had received a ticket, which was 100 percent false if I had received the ticket I wouldn't have been in the situation I was in. It wasn't until a manager came over and took over and helped my situation by having the doorman go an physically check the lot for my car, and when he returned I was again forced to wait at least another half an hour to get my car which I didn't quite understand why it wasn't taken out of the lot while the doorman was already over there. I really am not one to complain but when I'm paying over 500 dollars to stay at a hotel I'd expect my service to be much better than the way I was treated.
Love the location. Youssef at the front desk was wonderful and helpful. Always a smile on his face.
Location Radiator pipes baning all night no sleep at all
Room was clean. The ugly bath tub. Noisy heating system and bad pluming pipes made a awful noise all night . Didn't sleep well and was up early and checked out. This hotel was recommended to my spouse and I.
The hotel and staff were pleasant. Our room was nice and clean. Rooms are small but we expected that. The hotel is very busy. We were there for fun and enjoyed the craziness. New York never sleeps, but I like to. Bring ear plugs if you stay in Time Square. New Yorkers like their car horns.
With its location just hard to compete but, anything beyond that is not remarkable. The hotel old fashioned, we change three rooms and still have not found a room that has hot water which meets our demands. Only after a number of requests thay sent a plumber who fixed the problem. Very suitable for those who want mainly to visit the city and get a good-value because of the location. This huge hotel stay can not offer much more.
The hotel was clean and had a great location! Staff was polite and helpful. Liked it all!
Location No drinking water available in the room and ice machine was out of order. The coffee in the restaurant tasted like it was burnt.
1. Due to computer glitch, our reservation was "lost", took staff an hour to reinstate it. 2. Refrigerator in the room did not have a single bottle of water. I had to take medication without any water. 3. Ice machine on the floor was broken, no ice whatsoever. 4. Room had coffee machine, but no tea/coffee and water in the room.
The location is great but they made little effort in making guests comfortable. There was a huge crowd for an outdoor party on the nightclub deck. Our room shook all night until about THEEE AM. You couldn't hear the tv in the room and forget sleeping. It was miserable.
Great location, value for money, loved the room, the bar and terrace were very cool. Great vibe and value overall. Even with a hotel stamp, parking lot down the street was still almost $50 overnight. Wish hotel credit would have been worth more.
The view from the room was perfect, if only I had stayed on New Years! Front row seats to the ball drop! Very clean and luxurious Some hidden fees & deposit was larger then website said it would be
We liked everything about the hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location was on Broadway, just one short block from 7th Avenue. I would stay again. It was a very good experience. The only thing I questioned (but was not a big deal) was the bathroom was small - couldn't fit 2 people in at once. The shower pressure was too good. Meaning that it hurt the body when the hand held was used. The rain shower was good but if you didn't want to wet your hair, you had to use the hand held which in turn was so powerful that it hurt the body. It didn't bother me that much but it was the only thing that was a bit uncomfortable.
Happy customer Great bar food and courteous staff prices are a little high but it's New York everything is pricey like this place it's my third visit Can't think of a thing
Really close to time square with an excellent view. Rooms were modern and spacious... Beds were really Comfy and had a great nights sleep despite the central location.
There was a problem with our bathroom that was not addressed appropriately on the night it was reported. The manager the following morning was profusely apologetic and provided complimentary breakfast for our party, in addition to addressing the problem.
Modern furniture and decor. Outdoor lobby/restaurant over looking Times Square withe excellent view. Great hotel. Excellent service, friendly staff standing near front to help you. Old fashioned blow dryer in a bag. I had to hunt for it (we are used to hotels with I attached to the wall). The sink is too high. I had to stand on tip toes to stand on tip toes to wash my face.
It was a perfect hotel Nothing
Fun, modern sci-fi inspired design, excellent food, bar and restaurant were great. Staff were mostly courteous and attentive. Room service was quick. Shower was excellent :) Wi-fi was terrible. Even after I paid the 14.95 for "high-speed" we had constant connection problems. On my third night the Novotel wireless network didn't even show up on list of available networks and was seemingly down for the remainder of the night. Not as big a deal on a leisure trip, but if I had been there for business I would have been screwed. The sink in the bathroom was poorly designed. Every time I turned on the faucet, water would splash up and out of the bowl and get everything on the counter wet. Had to keep water on lo-flow to avoid this.
The view was the best feature and the service was good. Friendly staff The room I stayed in was much smaller then I had anticipated. The hotel website boasts large, roomy suites.. also the room had an offensive odour. If I can find a less expensive deal for this hotel I will stay again otherwise for the amount I payed I can get much better! Paid $450/night.
The staff was very friendly and helped us when needed. They were not hesitant to ask if we needed any assistance. We were also a little late in checking out and they were super nice about it. Highly recommended
Great location. Large rooms. Very quiet. Rooms are older. Firnishing are worn out. Bar in the lobby has only basic drinks and bottom shelf wines.
Everything about the stay was top notch!
Good sized rooms Great arrangement for families Right in Times Square if that is what you want. Good value if you need two rooms. Food in hotel was extremely limited Left for airport and couldn't find coffee at 6 a.m A little too much Times Square...accosted by tour guides every time you walk out of hotel door.
Everything.. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Food was very good but dear enough. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Cleaned everyday and fresh towels and sheets. The location was amazing. Literally walk out the door onto Times Square.
Cookies on arrival. Separate sleeping quarters with closing door, (bath is Jack and Jill so can shut bedroom, but kids can still use bath) fridge, safe, hairdryer, microwave. Extra bed is $25/night so asked for packnplay (free) and my 5-year-old slept in there. Had crib sheet and small blanket. You are smack dab in Times Square (can be very crowded right out the door, hold your kids tight). NQR train literally outside and uptown will drop you off at Bloomingdales. Or walk 2 avenues to 5th with shopping. on 17 th floor and very quiet. Could hear sirens at times, but never woke us up. Black out shades make is very dark and close by overlapping, so no need to rig it shut. AC gives off good white noise. Coffee cart right outside. Evergreen coffee shop around the corner and SUPER fast during weekdays. Bed was comfortable enough, but could still feel my husband turn. No USB plugs. At first we had no towels. They brought towels up pretty quickly. Then I later realized there was a dirty bar of soap in the shower I asked to switch rooms, because I did not feel that this room was clean. They switched us to Hilton honors room immediately, which had free Wi-Fi for guests. This was reasonable compensation. The rooms could use a little repair. There was part of a sticker left on furniture, broken tile in the bathroom, wallpaper was coming up in the corners, curtain rod and was broken off the curtains in the window, fridge would freeze food . Nothing unexpected. We would stay there again.
Location was great. Rooms clean and useful.
The hotel was in the most central area that anyone could wish for. Shows, tourist trips, lights, excitement. Very nice suites and clean. Trying to unload bags from a vehicle is difficult as you have to stop by the kerb illegally. The staff were extremely inconsistent. Some showed excellent efficency and politeness however some really griped me. Breakfast is somewhat below average for the price.
Rarely do the descriptions match what you get, this exceeded my expectations. Will stay there again.
I loved the size and cleanliness of the rooms and the location of the hotel. I didn't like that you needed to take an elevator to the lobby and then another to the room. While there it seemed like only a few elevators were working and the hotel was crowded because of superbowl weekend. There was no decent lounge or gift shop.
Location was great, right in the moddle of Times Square with easy access to shows, many subway lines, Central Park and more. Hotel was spotless and roomy, esp for a NYC hotel. Would definitely stay again. Could be a bit loud with all the honking taxis and construction outside
The bell men service is horrible. When we arrive in a taxi they picked up our shoppings bags and right after we get off the cab they returned everything to us.
The comfortable en clean room with nice beds. It was also really quiet during the night.
service was friendly, spacious for the neighborhood, great location, reasonably quiet, capable staff, very clean rooms small and unimpressive entry/lobby, old elevators require a prolonged wait, barely adequate exercise room
The staff were exellent very eager to help and do ıt fast Room service was a bit slag during the early mornıngs .
location is good.back rooms are dark and small compare with the front ones.elevators are small and you have to wait long time. nothing happened ı am satisfyed except the elevators
Efficiency and good breakfast, lovely bar, but not over the top Bathroom not as clean as it might have been, under the rim of the basin
cosy and relaxing atmosphere at an excellent location in the center of NYC. Good equipment and confort
I've stayed in so many NY hotels over the years and this one was very good, great room sizes for a Manhattan hotel, good room decor and excellent and quiet air con (good when 35c outside)! Desk to work at and plenty of plug sockets to charge gadets etc. Great location 5 mins walk to Abrrcrombie and Lower 5th Avenue, good Irish bar next door, diner opposite and coffee shops close by. Easy to get taxis outside too. Friendly and efficient front desk staff Breakfast not included in my rate
Location; room size. bathroom was too small. elevators too slow.
The interior inside the hotel and its room, and the quietness at night. Other guests seemed quiet also, since they seemed to want to sleep well as well. the toilet facility in my room was poor. it did not flush and takes 15 minutes to get quiet for the machine...
Location was quite good. Crowded and slow. Room was an inside room no windows. I understand that in New York space is a premium.
I love the Park Central Hotel. It is our 2nd time to stay there. We originally stayed at Park Central in July 2014 and had an amazing experience all around. The staff, the room, the bathroom, the concierge, the location were all wonderful! Our 2nd stay in June 2016 was nice but not as excellent as in 2014. I booked the Park Central through hotels.com in 2014 and 2016. I chose it for the clean and well kept rooms, the location and the price is fair. In June 2016, We were put in a "courtyard room (graveyard)" because of the price that we paid. If we spent $75 more a night they would upgrade us to a normal room. This room had a window but barely let in any natural light. You couldn't see what the weather was like until you went outside. The bathroom was so tiny that the only way 2 people could be in there at the same time was if someone was in the shower and the other at the sink. The shower was a tiny stall! I couldn't bath without my elbows hitting the walls. Although, the similar price in 2014 gave us an amazing room with a street view and a huge bathroom (no need to upgrade). The staff on this last trip were friendly but seemed to be rushed. Not the cozy vibe that we had in 2014.
This hotel is very well maintained, in a great location, and the beds are very comfortable! They don't let you check in a minute before the check in time.
Everything was clean and nicely decorated Parking $70/day
Comparing with Hyatt (4 stars) in DC, Holiday inn (3 stars) in Buffalo and Holiday inn (3 stars) at 57th street NYC, this so called 4 stars hotel-Park central is nothing. The only advantage you have is location.1.The room is quite small, no coffee maker (I requested 2 times by phone, excluded I came to the front desk to request face to face),no refrigerator(you need to request, the quantity is limited and no one replied about whether they would supply or not.) 2.No hair conditioner in the bottle at the first night I stayed. After the third night, I left a note in the bathroom for the housekeeper and said"please refill the conditioner. Thanks." No one cared about this. The bottle was still empty. 3. Airconditioner was broken. Luckily the front desk changed a room for me. This is the worst experience I have in NYC. I am pretty sure I will not choose this hotel in the future and tell others about this experience. Again, if you don't care about the service at all, choose it. If you don't mind to walk several minutes more to Times Square or other sites and want better service and bigger room, Holiday inn midtown at 57th street is a good choice. And the rate is lower than park central.
they were very accommodating and friendly. the rooms were perfect sizes and beds were very comfortable. the facility charge. we only stayed from 7pm at night until 12pm the next day so we didn't even use any of the facilities that were included in the charging so we thought it was a bit unfair to be charged that amount if we weren't even there long enough to use it.
The hotel was great..it was clean, spacious and comfortable. Central location for everything. But there's hidden fees when you get there. There's a $35 facility fee per day and since the stay wasn't booked directly through them you also have a $60 parking fee per day.. so overall it's better to book directly through them since you really don't save through any third party sites.. it comes out to about the same with all these hidden fees
It is near for everything, service is good, clean
Location Not friendly staff, small rooms, overpriced, hidden fees
Loved the decor and the staff was super friendly. Great location, anything you could want right around the corner. Nothing, some people said it was small, but not if your used to New York spaces.
Room larger than typical for the area, staff were very helpful, walking distance to many restaurants and places we wanted to visit Though coffee places were nearby, it would be nice to get an early morning coffee without venturing outside the hotel. Perhaps marketplace kiosk could be open 24/7
Location After dinner , wife an I ready to go to bed, my wife noticed pillow cases nor linen was changed. We are avid travelers, we were horrified! Head of housekeeping had it changed at 9:00, but wife an I were tired and this event made us stand in hallway for almost an hour till changes were made.
Clean, comfortable, great location. Still not sure how much I will be charged. I was invoiced a certain amount which does not reflect the amount charged to my card.
The rooms were dingy. The service was awful. We paid over $500 for the room and we didn't get what we paid for - Queen bed. They first tried to put us in a full bed room and then we had to go downstairs and complain. The rooms looked much better on the site than in "really life". The beds were gross with the blue comforter. The only thing that was nice was the tiny bathroom. I wouldn't stay here again.
We liked the simply look of the room and bathroom. Very modern and abstract. Our stay was for a short period time so not much to comment on.
Very compact room and compact environment
Our recent stay at The Time was perfect!
Great location, and wonderful staff Overpriced for such small and unclean rooms. Our window was broken and we could hear everything at night, which in Times Square is loud and at times unbearable.
Rooms are very nice but could use a bit more sound proofing. We could hear the people in the next room. We were in room 717
This was our third stay at the Time over the last 5 years and we've never been disappointed. Especially for the price! Staff was super friendly; comfy, modern room; great location in the theatre district and time square; room service breakfast (from the Serafina) was excellent Only annoyance was that there was a sign at check in offering 20% off breakfast for guests; so we ordered accordingly, only to find out that room service wasn't eligible. If the food wasn't delicious we probably would've made a bigger stink about it
Great location, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Choose a street facing room if possible, as some rooms are claustrophobic.
The room was comfortable, a good size and very quiet. Ammenities were updated. It should be a beautiful hotel when the project is finished. Hotel was under construction which was not noted in the description. The lobby was moved to the second floor (from the first) and lots of workers and equipment were evident. there was a bit of work dust in the 2nd floor lobby.
The staff at this hotel were all amazing. Each one as helpful and friendly as the next. The hotel has a very nice bar/ restaurant attached. The bed was super comfy, amazing waterfall showers, and great room service menu as well. Super central to everything, shops, food, shows, transit. Our AC broke over night, so we woke up to a huge puddle and part of the carpet was soaked from the AC leaking, but we we're checking out that day anyway and it was not anyone's fault.
I loved the room it was both clean and very spacious, my wife and I frequently stay in hotels due to both business and leisure and will definetely be returning to the time.
Near Times Square, cleanliness and open room with large window...
Easy walk over to Times Square. The room was beautiful and I really felt like I got a great deal staying here! It's New York so of course it was a tight fit, but our family of four in the double deluxe room never felt too crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood was close enough to Subways and other destinations, but far enough from all the action and noise. Will definitely remember this place the next time I visit New York! The only issue that ever came up was the shower would leak a bit into the hallway floor.
The bathroom was very undesirable!! From the door not shutting all the way (sitting at the desk you could see the person sitting on the toilet because there was that much of a gap) to the shower that everyone can see your shadow in - so uncomfortable with others in the room
This is my 3rd time staying at the Paramount and you can't beat the location! It's less than a block to Times Square! The hotel lobby is clean and stylish with lots of seating options. If you arrive earlier than check in they have a place to store your luggage for you. The rooms need a really good cleaning. The mounding shouldn't be growing black fur and the carpets need to be replaced. The room also smelled like the sewer (street smell) not backed up sewer. The bedding is clean as is your bathroom but you can tell that these rooms do not get a thorough cleaning often.
I like the proximity to Times Square. It was very small.
The location was perfect; near to Times Square, the Theatre district, restaurants, & within walking distance to MANY things. Staff was friendly. Had to show key card to use the elevators which is a safety plus. Valet parking cost not bad for NYC parking. The rooms were postage stamp size. The tub, walls could use some upgrading as surfaces were worn, chipping. We were on the 9th floor and it took awhile for the warm water to kick in (at least 5 minutes for sure!) The lobby, elevator, and halls were dark. No refrigerator in room. Closet had safe in it so anything dress length hung on the safe.
The location is great Awful from start to finish. After 3 room changes because of the continued wrong bed size we finally said fine. Room wasn't very clean, old worn carpeting, phone didn't work, one plug for charging. One night charged 65 for car next night charged 75. We have a Nissan rouge..not an oversized vehicle abs same car both nights. Desk said it's up to the garage. It also took nearly 45 min to get car both times. Would never stay or suggest this hotel again.
I liked the location on 46th street. Easy walk to shops, theatre and restaurants. I loved the lobby whether we were having our morning coffee from Corso or our late night drinks from the bar - the lobby with it's great playlist and lighting is very special. Our rooms were nice and all we needed for the amount of time we spent in them. We will be back!
Room was somewhat small but if you are just using it to sleep, it's fine. Superlative location for the theatre district.
Loved the dark and chic ambience of the common areas, and the preservation of the original deco-era elements in the building. Location is nice and central if you have to stay in the Times Square area. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Room was small and noisy, no view. Perfectly sufficient for an "efficiency" type single room, but I did not expect the twin bed. Still, it was comfortable enough for the basics.
Close to Times Square. Beds are comfortable. The sheets had hairs in them. There was a hair in the shower and in the sink and hair trapped in the door hinge. The wall moldings are covered in a layer of dust. The bed curtain, the window curtain and the walls have tons of smudges and stains on them. Overall the room did not feel very clean. And be prepared for the worlds smallest euro style bathroom.
Great atmosphere. Rooms are small. Bathroom really small.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our first-ever visit to New York City. The hotel is located just half a block from Times Square, which made it easy for us to visit both yuppie tourist locations as well as hop on public transit to quickly get to more "authentic" neighborhoods. The lobby, bar, and rooms are nicely appointed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Real estate in New York is incredibly expensive, and hotel rooms (especially bathrooms) are substantially smaller compared to those in other cities like Chicago. We knew about this in advance, but it might surprise visitors who are used to the acres of space that are common in suburban hotel rooms.
Location I cannot recommend this hotel at all. The room was way smaller than expected - not very clean either. The bed hat the wrong size. We booked a king size bed and got a queen size bed instead. The carpet was filthy, the AC and the safe were both broken and the heat regulation in the shower came off. The AC started in the late evening on its own cooling down the room to 60°F. Therefore, we called the front desk. The person working there was simply rude. We had to fight for an additional blanket. Storing the luggage in the baggage room was charged additionally. I never experienced such poorly service in a hotel.
Location was great Rooms to small
