The view was nice and facilities were very clean Parking and access to valet/ waiting area were difficult. Rooftop bar was closed.
Hotel is a good location, within walking distance to SoHo, Nolita, Bowery, short train ride into Brooklyn. I came in on a red-eye and arrived at the hotel at 6:30 and they had a room for me, which they claimed it was a "free upgrade." Heater didn't work as well. Room was 50 degrees when I arrived. Put it on full blast and it only got up to 58 in 4 hours. I left it on and took off, returning 15 hours later at 3am and the room was still only 62 degrees. The luggage storage lady was rude and inattentive. She was rude when I dropped off my bag and I had to retrieve it myself. Also they used stickers with crappy adhesive so now my luggage has goo on it.
The view was amazing, hotel was clean and very modern and the staff was incredibly helpful. We were in town for a bike race and they even offered us an hour of entered stay for free so we could shower before driving home. The WiFi was a little unpredictable.
I was looking for a hotel in NYC within walking distance of the Lower East Side, and found this. It was one of the cheapest hotels that met that criterion, at $250 per night (not including tax, which brought it up to $290). The room was sufficiently large to be comfortable to move around in, and the bed was firm (which I like). Everything was clean enough. There is free internet and it's fast enough to use it for work. The person who checked me in was friendly and had been nice on the phone when I called to say I'd be checking in late. The person who checked me out was fine, but less friendly. I can't criticize the staff, though - they were fine. There is nothing in the hotel to enjoy. No lobby to sit in (i.e., there's the front desk and maybe a chair or two, but that's it), no exercise room as far as I can tell, no restaurant, nothing. And no coffee served in the morning, so you can use the coffee machine in the room (which I never do - no fresh milk for coffee makes it unpalatable) or you can walk for a mile to get somewhere to get coffee. So if you get up early (as I did, coming from France I was on a different time schedule), it's really kind of disappointing and difficult. While it was clean, the price wasn't low enough for me to consider it again. I'd rather pay an extra $50 per night and have a better location and overall better hotel facilities. (I might even be willing to pay $100 more for that - it was really that unpleasant.)
Loved being in a "real" part of NYC instead of a more touristy area. Safe and quiet location. Fun to walk around Chinatown. Great view of the park across the street with people doing tai chi every morning and the Freedom Tower in the background. Nice comfy beds and great water pressure. Nothing much to complain about. Our room could have used a paint job but was otherwise fine.
near subway, nice rooms wifi was not great.
Good design choices... nice bathroom (very Japanese)... simple, very comfortable, excellent bed/bedding. Highly polished wood floor a wonderful touch (no yukky wall-to-wall.) For this price ... it doesn't get any better. Highest recommendation for a budget hotel.
The staff at this hotel are so friendly. Location is convenient across the street from a train line and a few blocks from little Italy. The hotel literally stinks. The room smelled so bad like regurgitated curry that we asked to switch. The second room smelled as well but not as bad, only in the bathroom. I think it must be the smell in the sewer pipes or something. Had to leave the bathroom door closed the entire trip so our clothes didn't smell like sewage.
Clean Considering NY prices- good value for the money Very close to subway station Comfy Continental Breakfast Very small room
I feel this is a bad experience to me The water pressure for shower is very bad the water seems dripping and slow motion when I called the front desk. They told me a stupid excuse Because I am 11/ fl. So the water usually slow at all. And they may be change the shower head after I check out. They never think should change another room for me. Even I feel it is not comfortable Their name is comfort inn and it is not
Friendly staff, great location, unbeatable price! It is a non smoking hotel, however someone was smoking and the smell wafted into our room.
Close to public transport & foods, clean The room is too small, no table, no window, no elevator, the stairs were high. Not recommended for family with kids
It wasn't that bad. Don't expect the Ritz, its a hostel. They cleaned it everyday and there weren't bugs. It's a small room, but it's a single. It is loud and bright but earplugs and eyemask worked fine. They keep the windows open so it can get drafty but keeps it from getting too smelly. There are shared bathrooms but aside from early in morning it was never a problem. And there is NO elevator so your legs get a workout. But staff was great, at $44 a night for 5 nights there's not a cheaper way to stay in Manhattan, you're in heart of Chinatown and Little Italy, lots of culture and super cheap shopping. I'd stay there again.
The bed was horribly uncomfortable, creaked everytime you moved. Staff, unfriendly n unhelpful Bad
