Pros: The location is great. Right around the corner from the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Across the street from the Tube, and surrounded by great restaurants. This was the perfect home base for a weekend in London. The decor was charming and whimsical, sort of Alice in Wonderland with lots of bright colors and a bird theme which ran through the hotel. Our room was small as most London Hotels are, and finding a place to stow the luggage was a bit of a hat trick, but once we figured it out, everything was great. Although we never had breakfast at the hotel, we did have morning coffee and tea in the tea room every day. Delightful. Would return in an instant!

Pros: The hotel is truly lovely. I think we had the smallest room there which I booked unknowingly. But it worked just fine. The bed was so comfy. There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

Pros: I loved pretty much everything about the hotel. I stayed there twice in September. It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

Cons: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

Pros: Great location, nice staff, comfortable bed
Cons: Room is too small and breakfast is overpriced

Pros: Really good location
Cons: When we asked to upgrade the room they told us there wasn’t any suites available. There was only a one bedroom suite which was three grades above our booking. When we checked on booking.com there were rooms available. When we informed them of this, the suites suddenly became available. They’re just after your money all of the time. It’s not about customer service.

Pros: This year was my turn to take charge of our Anniversary surprise - I knew I wanted to do a romantic night out London and wanted an extra special room to make the night even more magical so I booked a stay in the Drop dead Gorgeous splash suit. It really was drop dead gorgeous! It exceeded all my expectations in every way, my partner was speechless as we were shown around our room. The room was beautifully decorated; balloons and petals were put in our room which we appreciated so much. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The hot tub in the room was highlight of the night. It was so warm and cosy. The bed was so comfortable - We both slept like babies and had a wonderful breakfast in the morning to end our stay. I have been bombarded with messages asking about this room and have highly recommended it to every single person. Thank you so much for making our night so special! Hope to visit again!

Pros: I liked the hotel a lot! First of all, it is super cute and stylish! I really liked how it is designed! My room was small, but I felt very comfortable staying there. Making the reservation I requested a “Green Room” and a hotel’s assistant responded momentarily, answered all my questions and promised me to follow up on all my requests. Everything was finally done. I really liked the bathroom. It had a big bathtub and very nice shower cabin. Bath amenities were of high quality! An additional plus was daily complementary water and snacks. I found the hotel’s location great. It is just across the street from the Natural History Museum, 10 min by walk from Kensington Gardens/Hide Park. It is a pretty easy walk to Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. The metro station is also right next to the hotel.

Cons: There were not big minuses for me. The only little issues I can point to are: a small room size (if there are 2 of you, then the room can seem very small; plus, big luggage takes a lot of space in the room) and a super slow small elevator which barely fits 3 people.

Pros: Awesome location, girls behind the desk were lovely and helpful. Massive rooms and beautiful garden out the back.
Cons: I didn’t have breakfast included in my booking which was fine, I paid for my breakfast and after getting my breakfast the host asked me for my room number, he then came back and told me it wasn’t included very rudely, I then gave him my receipt and he continued to yell at me so I gave him my receipt again and he just said oh, no sorry or anything. But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

Pros: Nice size rooms. Friendly staff. Clean.
Cons: Don't buy the breakfast. At nearly £20 each you should expect a certain standard. This was verging on dangerous. Undercooked bacon and sausage. Scrambled eggs were watery and a strange colour. Everything was cold. Literally the worst breakfast I've had in over 35 years of travelling.

Cons: Rude staff!! Key was changed each day. Blow dryer didn’t work but was told 3 times I didn’t know how to use it. Been blowing my hair dry for 45 years pretty sure I know how to use one. Horrible hotel. Do not stay there!!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, boutique hotel on a quiet street close to the Hyde park and 10 min walk from the Paddington station. We were upgraded to a jr. suite at no charge and it was a very pleasant bonus. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was welcoming a friendly.
Cons: They have 2 breakfast options: continental or hot English. We had a continental included in the price. There is a special person that instructs each guest on which breakfast they are entitled to have and that the hot breakfast is extra. Not very classy... I have a feeling they spend more money doing that and creating a negative vibe, as opposed to letting everyone have some scrambled eggs (how much can they cost?) and a good impression of the hotel.

Pros: This is my third time staying at this hotel, love the location and this time I got upgraded to a suite!
Cons: I wished they would allow for earlier check in times.

Pros: The Blakemore is an incredible hotel. It is extremely clean, beautiful in every way. Although the rooms and location were perfect- it's greatest asset is ira incredible staff- who were competent, polite, well-versed in their jobs, -and incredibly customer focused. It is a great hotel.

Pros: Location.
Cons: So, my stay at 100 queens gate was 5 nights, so substantial for a hotel. I had to upgrade the room because the one I had booked on booking was so small and no windows, it was claustrophobic. I asked for an upgrade and I was initially told they didn’t have any other available rooms, I then called reception again spoke to someone else and they gave me a different room for 40 pounds more per night, fine. The ac didn’t work. Maintenance came to fix it, they said the filter was blocked. After 1 hour it stopped working again! The hot water in the shower was coming out after maybe 10 minutes the water was opened. The room card worked for the first two days, then stopped working and every day I needed someone to open the room and gym for me. (Many other guests I spoke to experienced this issue). Second time this happened a guy from the hotel staff came to open my room and didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience or the fact I waited 15 minutes for him to arrive. The rooms are not cleaned properly at all. The staff is clearly NOT highly trained, especially for a hotel where they charge you 400 pounds for a room. The hotel has been refurbished but lifts are really slow, and one of them stopped working. Having experienced the latter issues, all I got was a bottle of wine sent to my room. The upgrade price (40 pounds more per night) were fully charged, and got no discount at all nor a call by the manager to my room to apologise. You kind of expect things like these in a 5 star hotel! Food is very average too.

The staff were in general very helpful and were prepared to offer assistance if it was needed. The location of the hotel is superb if your focus is South Kensington area but is also well connected by the underground to other parts of the capital.
Cons: While the room was well furbished it was dark, looking out onto a shaft and it appeared to be an ex-smokers room which was disturbing every time one entered the room. There was a too problem with the booking over booking.com (generated by a user mishap) and although booking.com and 100 Queen's gate Hotel did eventually resolve the issue in the end, the intermediate friction had its toll.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location, and decor in reception and bar was very nice. Rooms were just spruced up regular Hilton rooms. Gentlemen making cocktails on first night was friendly, and made some amazing drinks.
Cons: We were given a room with a loud AC unit outside the window, with views of the roof. Noise was loud even with windows shut. They offered us a upgrade, and moved us to the 6th floor, which had tiny rooms, dark and lower ceilings. Complained, so moved us to the same grade room on 3rd floor, which was the same as our original room, just on the other side of the building. Were told to leave the bar as my husband was wearing smart tweed shorts. There were 4 people in the bar wearing trainers, and a gent who was wearing both trainers and a baseball cap. Thought this was ridiculous.

Cons: We stayed for 5 nights. We left a note after the first night asking for a couple of maintenance related things (light in bathroom was out and tub and sink was slighlt clogged). We also requested some wash cloths. Good for 3 days, not for 2.

Pros: Great location for the high street and a short taxi ride from the Albert hall.
Cons: Beware of the £50 per NIGHT holding fee they charge as I didn’t see any detail on this when I booked. They also don’t refund it until 5-7 days after you check out which I also wasn’t made aware of until three follow up calls after. The room was also a bit shabby which I normally wouldn’t mind as we are real it’s just a place to rest your head people and are rarely in our room anywhere we go but it was an occasion stay and the room had very obvious paint touch ups needed and the staff weren’t rude by any means but not overly helpful or friendly either and I found being told to go sit down when ordering at the bar and then being charged a table service fee very strange.

Pros: The location is very convenient. Less than 5 minutes away from Gloucester Rd tube station with plenty of places to eat around the area
Cons: The furniture was dated and old. The chair did not feel solid and everything in the room looked and felt like it was at least 15 years old and had not been updated. The bathroom (whilst a good size) had a musty smell to it, which added to the feeling that this place needed an upgrade. The TV had very few channels on it (Freeview has more variety) and i couldn't even find the basic channels like BBC, ITV etc. There was very little room for hanging clothes since half the width of the (door-less) handing space was take up by the ironing board. The AC was very strong and the fan speed at its lowest was high. Trying to turn the temperature up or down was useless, you just get the same cool temperature. Not worth the price at all!! There are hotels in the area less than 5 minutes walk at a lower cost and significantly better than this.

Pros: The lobby/breakfast area
Cons: The room was very basic. The fire alarm rang went off very early in the morning and nothing was done to compensate... not even a free breakfast.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is in a great location,Staff were very friendly and helpful,Bedroom was ready even though we arrived earlier than expected, Breakfast was fine, Nice area to relax and have a drink, I have stayed in this hotel for many years and the renovations over recent years have really improved it, Like that they provide bathrobes and slippers in the rooms Bedrooms are comfortable
Cons: Selection at breakfast could be better , No holders or glasses in the bathrooms to hold toothbrushes etc
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was great. Right in the middle of chelsea, really excellent for nice meals and posh shopping. The decor of bar/lounge is nice. Bed is very comfortable and even though I had a twin room booked they accommodated and push the beds together to make a large queen/king.
Cons: Check in and check out were slow. Curtains and carpet in the room look and feel dirty. Breakfast was 15 GBP but very minimal, staff slow at replenishing plates. Lots of noise early morning from outside the window but also along the corridor, staff were cleaning the corridors around 7:30am. The toiletries provided look high quality, but are in fact not.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room and bathroom were very clean. The bar / Restaurante area is extremely pleasant to sit in
Cons: Although room was clean it was small and for the nightly rate it should be bigger but hey it is South Kensington and Chelsea area.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Flooded bathroom - water gushing out of the ceiling through the light fixtures! Room not ready on arrival (initially arrived early but even having gone back after allotted time they could not get through to cleaners) , staff could not make a gin and ton
4.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel is at best a three star. So main accomplishment for this place was to be listed as for stars - this requires some talent I like that.
Cons: I did not like many things - but main problem is space. If you have two standard luggage pieces, the only option is to lay in bed around the room, since there is no room for both the luggage and a two persons to stand at the same time. Its a motel!

6.3 Good
Pros: The location was good and the staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room had too many beds in for the size. 3 tier beds meant no head room in middle bunk. I had been given a bottom bunk because I have a bad back but someone had taken it. As bottom bunks were on the floor O would have struggled with them as well, to stand up when I got out. People having sex in bunks next to me and person under me had the sour smell of someone who had not washed in a long time. I suspect the person was homeless and using the hostel for somewhere to live. Breakfast was ok. I stay in hostels a lot and have stayed in the Safestay in York which was much better and not so crammed together, cleaner too. The laminate on stairs to reception was lifting on each step which is a trip hazard.

Cons:
6.7 Good
Pros: The location is awesome — in the park, good for a morning/ evening run or a quiet walk. Peaceful. Squirrels run around. Two underground stations nearby. Lots of cafes at walking distance
Cons: Showers are combined — male and female together (quite uncomfortable for both). There are lockers in rooms but you need to have your own padlock and a key (otherwise buy at the reception). No towel provided (again, can rent there). At the reception you get a card to access the hostel and your room, and you get a paper that they expect you to carry with you everywhere (so that they can identify you, if necessary). No one ever asked for that paper, but the idea itself is annoying. There is no microwave or a fridge to cook your own breakfast or store some food

Pros: I really liked the night staff member - Lionel. I came in the middle of the night completely exhausted and his smile, his very warm approach has made me feel welcomed and safe. Honestly, I was a bit scared to stay in a hostel, especially because female dorm was not available at the time of the booking and the room is smaller than it is comfortable. He was polite, fun to talk to and helpful. I had genuine feeling he is a nice person to hang around. I was glad the locker inside of the room was big enough to store a small luggage and that in the bunk bed space you could find a plug, where to charge a phone. The long mirror in the room was also something I liked.

Cons: The rooms are uncomfortably small with too many bunk beds. When I wanted to open my tiny luggage, someone would open the door and hit me or someone would come out of bathroom and had to go through me. It was terrible to go toilet inside of the room as you could hear everything from the bathroom cubicle. Also I felt the bed curtains are not being changed after the guests left. There was no space to hang a towel, which is pretty annoying. The room ventilation was awful, there is a fan, which is noisy and terribly small window that opens at the bottom, not at the top - which I do not think is terribly safe or helping to ventilate.

The breakfast was help yourself buffet style which included the full English, croissant, fruit juice, coffee etc all hot nice way to start your day sightseeing.

4.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: General appearance( needs an update/ refresh. Carpet needs pulling flat in reception area. Staff on arrival not very welcoming. Pool was closed, apparently for refurbishment, this was not communicated upon booking or afterwards. Television very small.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was amazing. 2 mins to Hyde Park, 4 mins from tube, handy for museums, Hyde Park,
Cons: Windows filthy, though room immaculate!
6.7 Good
Pros: Greek restaurant & Leinster Arms
Cons: Room very small, even with window open room was uncomfortable. Breakfast was good.
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood. It has close proximity to many tube stations, which makes getting around easy. Hyde park is really close by and is super beautiful. Back to the hotel, the staff is amazingly friendly. Several Spanish speakers (mostly from Spain) work here, so that is convenient if you need translation. The towels are good, the water pressure I exceptional. If you get the breakfast included take advantage of it, the breakfast is very hardy.
Cons: The hotel is pretty old and outdated. All the floors squeak and you can hear everyone around you. The beds leave a lot to be desired.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Reception staff friendly.
Cons: Not a 4 star hotel: 1. Supposed to be near to Kensington Olympia - it wasn't - 40 minutes away via two trains 2. Supposed to have a sauna and swimming pool - they were both closed for repair 3. No restaurant. When I arrived looking for an evening meal I was offered a leaflet promoting a local takeaway. 4. Aircon in room not working - had to make do with a portable fan and leaving the window open on a noisy street
7.9 Good
Pros: The hubication and the staff very Cain and profesional
Cons: Expensive for what they offer
6.7 Good
Pros: The location is easy walking distance from Paddington Train Station it was a very reasonable price for a London hotel the price also included full English breakfast. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful we arrived at the hotel early in the morning check in was at 2 pm we asked if we could leave our suitcases and check in later also when we checked out we again asked if we could leave our cases and pick up early evening this was agreed so we spent all day seeing London without the burden of suitcases and as we were going on the London Eye this was a great help as your bags are searched. The breakfast was help yourself buffet style which included the full English, croissant, fruit juice, coffee etc all hot nice way to start your day sightseeing.
Cons: The property is in need of a little TLC the walls /carpets need painting/ replacing the hotel looks a little tired it is however very clean and bed linen, towels changed daily I cannot offer criticism on the cleanliness of the hotel just that it needs upgrading. I would stay again when in London but I would make further research on other hotels in the area to compare price and facilities.
6.3 Good
Pros: The convenience
Cons: It’s quite old and run down. Not many amenities. You pay for location

Pros: I like how the bed sheets were clean and all white! Bathroom isn't cleaned properly by house keeping everyday they just do the surroundings so that could be improved but the rest of the areas were nice and clean.
Cons: The staff in the reception are horrible! The Italian ones specially speaking.. how rude can some people be? Both Italian ladies in the reception would speak in italian language to each other and laugh at my face just because I didn't feel comfortable staying at a mixed room and wanted a female room. Very unprofessional. What a disgrace for the hostel these women are. Have the decency to speak about guests behind their back not infront of their faces!!!

4.6 Okay
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Few bathrooms and ill-mannered guests.
2.2 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: The pictures do not show the real quality of the room. Walls were pealing and dirty, floors were not clean, the bathroom facilities were cramped and gross, beds were horribly quality with springs poking you, and the staff was not service oriented or very friendly. Very disappointed in this location. After talking with some people in London we came to find out that our experience is not normal with hostels, most of the time they are better kept. This was pretty bad. Don’t trust the pictures you see in their ads, they aren’t what you will get.

Pros: Location
Cons: Noice at night time
7.1 Good
Pros: Right around the corner from public transport. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pretty good value.
Cons: Rooms and facilities were suffering from either age, or poor design. Sometimes both. Had to spend a lot of time at cafes, because the room did not have an electrical socket for me to charge my phone. Only ventillation in the room was from an open window, exposing you to all kinds of traffic noise throughout the night.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Not much I can say was good honestly, efficient check in and luggage room for the day was good. Location is right by Earls court tube station, lots of pubs and shops nearby.
Cons: Nothing like what i expected or lead to believe from images of the hostel, it was unclean, smelt bad and the staff were less than helpful. Location is great but the actual rooms and facilities leave a lot to be desired, it did the job for a night but I wouldn't recommend. Breakfast is literally just cornflakes, they have hot drinks machine but there were no teabags, staff were lazy and barely even looked at guests. There was no storage or option to lock away bags in the room and mattress was very hard.

Pros: Very comfortable beds! Staff are helpful!
Cons: People were complaining of being cold and wanted all the windows shut!
