Katy, Oct 2023
We had a luxury escape and requested single beds as we were friends traveling together. At check in I asked if the beds were single and if it was a deluxe room as per Luxury Escapes. I asked several times nut when saw the room we were allocated I did not believe it was a deluxe room and it did not have a city view. After further discussions we were moved to a deluxe room which was considerably lar...

We had an issue with the A/C in the first room on the first night and the hotel moved us to another room and everything was in order there. We only had the included minibar fully stocked once during the 6-night stay and only after mentioning it to the front desk. The minibar was restocked with drinks one more time but the food items were not restocked. Not sure if the hotel only includes one resto...

Pros (+) Stayed in a king suite . View from the room was fantastic and the absolutely stunning at night. The room was spacious and comfortable with very nicely appointed furniture and bed. The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons (-) I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of t...

Pros (+) Reception staff were really good, consierge was equally as good. Nice welcome, and fire in lobby. A lady in the restaurant for breakfast was very good, I think her name was Pam.
Cons (-) Breakfast was really not great, firstly the lady who seated us, asked if we wanted coffee and toast, then none arrived had to ask again for it, same with ordering some porridge it came 15 minutes later, but was like gruel, quite surprised that a 5 star hotel kitchen can't make porridge. Overall a little bit too structured and formal, but lacked professionalism in the restaurant.

Pros (+) Good service Great location
Cons (-) Breakfast buffet same everyday. Not much selection for 5 star luxury hotel. I stayed 13 nights and every morning same small selection of breakfast. There should be a lot more selection .

Pros (+) Location is perfect for the theater district. Staff is very friendly and accommodating indeed. Hotel is very elegant, a bit formal. Could be intimidating for a tourist from the US west.
Cons (-) Got a good room rate, but drinks, tea, and breakfast were as expensive as you'd expect from a 5 star central London hotel. We ended up changing our room twice -- the first time at the suggestion of the bellman, because it didn't have any view. The second room had a view but was way smaller than the other, and had no bath tub. We were moved a third time at our request and got a wonderful room (but ...
