Pros: Great staff, great location
Cons: Rooms had issues. Although well furnished & comfortable, the first room was above the subway so really disruptive until after midnight, with trains every few minutes, making sleep almost impossible. We asked to be moved & the second room was somewhat below ground level. The windows were set very high, they overlooked the air conditioning unit for the kitchen & therefore lacked any view, let alone natural light. I might stay at the hotel again but only if I could speak to reservations regarding the room.

Pros: Will be a fabulous hotel, have opened but not finished. Staff great, room beautiful, service very good.
Cons: We should have been informed on booking that the Bar was not yet open. We had to rearrange a meeting at the last minute. Quite a few workmen still finishing off. At £400a night, I expected everything to be done.

Pros: The facilities (I wanted a spa) were good . Lovely quiet area & beautiful surroundings inside
Cons: The room was noisy from neighbouring family with children running around shouting . The pillows are not plump enough . At breakfast the buffet was not topped up regularly & when it was the egg & mushrooms were not hot. The spa had run out of Robes & I would suggest a few more than 4 beds around the pool I don’t wish to sound so negative , our first trip to this hotel few years ago was fabulous , hence our return. Most of these problems I am sure wouldn’t occur on future visit

Pros: The location
Cons: The place is old. The elevator was out of order multiple times during the day. I was stuck in it for 3 minutes
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Small room. Staff not what it once was. After staying here close to 30 times we regrettably have had a pleasent time on our last few occasions. This place used to mean so much to use and has added to our special occasions, now it's the only thing that let's our occasions down.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, service and comfort
Cons: Noisy boiler that kept coming on near us and the bin men emptying early on a Sunday. I had paid for a large room, then on realising it wasn’t a twin felt I was then put in a back room for the same money, hence the value rating went down.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location.
Cons: The sheets were stained and we found at least 5 strands of somebody else's body hair on them. The hotel manager was very rude and did not resolve the issue to our satisfaction.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Warm breakfast toast done one side only recommend getting breakfast in nearby cafes for 3rd of price and much much better Fan in bathroom not working could not let the bath out, damage to bath panels looks tired No complimentary biscuits with tea tray and no herbal teas needs updating with times.

Pros: the bed is the only good thing, too bad it eats up the whole room and you can not even cross to the other side.
Cons: the staff is nonchalant and unhelpful, rooms are dirty with no basic amenities: no napkins or Kleenex in the room, one body gel to share, tiny washroom, dirty towels (literally yellow patches), extremely noisy a baby was crying all night and we could not sleep, no availabilities to change your room location, We arrived to our room and saw a basket of dirty towels lingering in the middle of the hallway with smelly towels ... I could keep on going because at this rate its not just bad luck but just a bad hotel. Look at my uploaded picture for a proof that the bed eats up literally the whole room. I would never stay there again.

Pros:
Cons: The delay response on our orders, they take more than 30 min. to do what we ask for. Also, we have booked a room with a garden view (which cost a way more than a city view). HOWEVER when we came over to the hotel, the receptionist informed us that all rooms with garden view is occupied. This is a lack of credibility!

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: I had problems with: 1) having to switch room because of plumbing technical problems ... 2) not having the room view-location requested and paid for ... despite having to switch to another room without the view requested. 3) having noticed (unfavorable odor) in the drinking glasses during having the dinner. I do suggest that these above remarks are brought to the attention of the administration of the GH-Hotel, Berlin. Thank you, Dr. Saeid A. Alghandi

Cons: I forgot to collect during my check out but I left all my luggage till my taxi come. I forgot to take one luggage from the room and until I ask them after few hours then they checked and telling yes they are keeping. I saw the bag is unlock and when I ask they said no lock. So upset. Actually I locked my bag. The lock is missing

Pros: It was great, nice room and bathroom (I got room for 4), big kitchen, very nice staff
Cons: I would just like in kitchen to offer some free things like tea or sugar, paid breakfast could improve their coffee (too watery) and add cheese at least, for these two reasons I didn´t buy it after first day, but they advise you to look first and pay if you like so it is not like you don´t know what are you paying for Like it was said here before, windows can´t be opened and in warm weather it would make dificult to sleep there, fans will not help much.

Pros: Location - thats it.
Cons: We stayed in an Executive room with access to the Lounge where breakfast was free. And as the old adage goes.... you get what you pay for ! The eggs were inedible and other food seemed stale. No bottles of water / diet soda in the lounge. Over an 8 night stay, we ate there ONCE. There was LOUD renovation noise all day long. The room requires more lighting and the decor seems very dated. Housekeeping needs help - some days they replaced the hand towels, some days they didnt. Some days the room wasnt turned down till past 6 pm. We had an important package delivered to the hotel - left with the Concierge. On checking, they said they had not received it. We followed up the next day and they "found it". Apologized for not delivering it earlier. Overall, the Concierge service is condescending at best.

Cons: YES ! THE BED !!! I am still nursing an injured knee. The bed was too big for the room plus it had a frame which took up even more space from the room. Other than that it was a comfortable mattress and nice quiet room.

Pros: Location is excellent for London shopping.
Cons: NOT good value. NOT anybody's fault. It's very difficult for even big name hotels to compete anymore in the historical, traditional locations. Mayfair is Georgian period, latest Victorian. Rooms are small. Noisy. Lifts cramped and shaking. Corridors dark. Thin line between ye olde quaint and 'old dump. Modern hotels win EVERY TIME. Regret breakfast very poor - Gordon Ramsay would be embaressed with his own restaurant in the mornings.

Pros: Nothing much, except the location with close access to shopping and restaurants.
Cons: The reception in 1st floor rather than ground floor is very inconvenient. There’s an elevator but they don’t tell you about it. So you see residents go down the stairs with luggage but no one tells them where the lift is hidden. Breakfast is very modest and cheap. The concierge doesn’t answer the phone. Also reception takes few calls to answer.

Cons: Renovations still ongoing. Construction was happening in the room next to us during the day on a weekday. No construction on weekends and it started at a reasonable hour on weekdays. Few amenities in hotel, but we weren't looking to use them. My wife didn't sleep as well as she needs a contour pillow and one wasn't available.

Cons: The vent was always on, which I presume is to ventilate the room considering it was on the basement floor. So although it did no bother me, a light sleeper might find it slightly noisy. Pros: After my poor experience with my room request change, I met Stefano another front desk staff who was pleasant, offered me water for my room, apologised for the inconvenience etc. It was refreshing.
Cons: I got a room on the lower floors, the room smelled stale, was a long walk away from the elevator and when I went to request a change I got attitude from the front desk staff Ana-Maria. I literally wanted to cancel and leave unfortunately as I had booked through booking.com I was told I needed to take that up with them. I asked for a room on a higher floor and was told she would only change my room if I either went back up and got my luggage or waited 30-40 mins for a concierge to help me. I was so upset. I went back up, gor my luggage and came back down. PS why dont they keep extra bottles of water in the room for your use?

Pros: Overall, as a 20-something, using this as a cheap place to sleep for the night while seeing London this worked for me and allowed me to spend my travel money on the things I wanted to do. The hostel does provide breakfast, and a 10% off discount for anything you order at the bar (burger and a beer is normally 15 pounds, so you get that for 13.50). The staff was friendly, and the bedding was clean in the hostel. The showers had warm water and seemed to be cleaned on a somewhat regular basis. The bar area is open to you 24 hours a day, though the kitchen closes at 10 and the bar closes to the public at midnight.
Beyond that, you can't beat the location in terms of it being a launching point for getting around the city. You are on several bus lines and three different tube lines. You are also only a mile's walk from Hyde park on a main road that is well lit, even at night.

Pros: Location.
Cons: There is no lift & the stairs were narrowed....especially when you have big bags & more than 1 luggage. My rromate actually booked from 11-15 Sept but she checked out on the 12 Sept due to the room is too small. Not as per in the picture shown. My room is a Female Room for 3 pax but during the last night.....middle of the night, me & another lady from Brazil were awaken when the hostel staff came in to our room & asked whether we mind having a guy to stay in our room....since it was after midnight & both of us are checking out the next morning...we have agreed but if we were to check out later....we will not allow as this room is stated for FEMALE ONLY.

Cons: First off, if you are a light sleeper, don't choose this hostel. It is on a highly-used road and the windows will be open in the room. If you wake up at every horn or siren, you will not have a good time sleeping here. In addition to that, the larger rooms have 24 people, so you can expect them to be coming and going at all hours, some quietly, some not (which also means your experience is not 100% on the hostel staff). Bar noise was non-existent, so don't worry about that.
The breakfast was a bit of a zoo, and a bit of a disappointment. They had loaves of bread with a toaster (butter and jam), some cereal and milk. There was also tea and coffee. It was pretty well picked over by 8:15, and the staff was too busy cleaning the bar to replace anything. To that end, the staff in the hostel always seemed to be stretched too thin. People are working the hostel front desk and the bar at the same time. They are not mean about it, but if you catch it wrong, you can end up waiting a bit to be helped. There were also a few people who were sleeping in the hallway at times, though I was not sure if they were just too drunk to remember their passcodes or had snuck in. Also, I never saw any semblance of a manager for either the bar or the hostel (not that I ever needed one).
The cleanliness of the rooms and the bathrooms left something to be desired, the rooms especially. Though I didn't spend much time in them, there was usually some crumbs / scraps of wrappers on the floor, which did not feel clean even when those larger pieces of rubbish were not there. This comes back to you experience being tied to the people you are in the room with however. In particular, there was one person who's luggage smelled like a college student's laundry bin that had been left to sit during the winter break, in-short, really bad.
My final warning would be that there are not a lot of power outlets in the rooms, and there are only two bathrooms to accommodate 50+ people, as opposed to 4 showers.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean, and everybody was very respectful. The location is good- right next to the underground. We didn't really hear any noise from the pub downstairs, which had a lovely atmosphere!
Cons: The rooms were very warm, but luckily it wasn't too bad due to a fan. There was also quite a lot of street noise, but if you live in a city then you'll be used to that level of noise.

Pros: The staff and the entire environment was super friendly, very helpful and accommodating. In the pub downstairs there's always someone up for chat so that even as a solo traveller you don't feel lonely at all. Bed was very comfortable as well.

Pros: The location is brilliant, we were attending a festival in Hyde Park
Cons: The room wasn’t ready when we arrived at after 4pm. Then the receptionist told us he didn’t know When the room would be ready, not long hopefully, so we used a friends room to get ready and to leave our luggage as we had dinner plans. When we arrived back at the hotel after 9pm, we were told our room was ready. We went to our room which was clearly under renovation, dirty, unmade bed empty drink cartons and rubbish all over the bathroom floor. We went back to reception and the receptionist was unaware of the filthy room or that it was getting renovated. Room2 on another floor, no air conditioning, broken and when the maintenance guy came he said the hotel was aware but told him to show his face to keep the customer happy. What a diabolical way to treat paying customers. I WON’T BE RECOMMENDING YOUR HOTEL, YOUR ONLY INTERESTED IN MY MONEY NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE- SHAME ON YOU.

7.5 Good
Pros: The location was fabulous. Easy walking distance to many places and close to Tube station. Good selection of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Uncomfortable beds, no air conditioning which meant we had to have window open so it was noisy.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Had no lights all night changed our room and had a fan going off all night no sleep
Cons:
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bar a bit disappointing and very public and small otherwise good
Cons: See above
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location was the reason I booked the hotel despite the lukewarm reviews. And when I booked, the price was considerably cheaper than other hotels in the area, but not so cheap that would excuse the condition the hotel was in.
Cons: It is very shabby - not unclean per se, but forlorn and uncared-for. Some of the staff were friendly, but most indifferent. They seemed overworked.
7.0 Good
Pros: There is nothing good about this hotel except the location if you need to be in Mayfair
Cons: The staff were not welcoming, when I checked out the receptionist didn't not say good morning or good bye, they did not speak to me. When I arrived back after an evening out about 12 30, the receptionist didn't even look up and say good evening. The decorated is badly in need of a lick of paint, very dated and dirty. The mattress on my bed was completely shot, the springs were gone.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer service was bland and too pricey for the cost of breakfast
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was excellent. Breakfast very good.
Cons: I was really disappointed that having booked several months ago and requested two rooms close to each other that no consideration was given to my request. We had one room on the 5th floor and one on the 1st floor.
5.7 Okay
Pros:
Cons: The wifi didn't work the whole time I was there, which is pretty unacceptable.
5.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: Photo ads looks new and spacious
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is excellent.
Cons: The rooms are really small and old and you’d get better quality and value for money at a premier inn!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfortable Bathroom was clean and fine
Cons: The furniture old and in very bad conditions. Scratches on the furnitures, paper on walls broken and dirty, cover of the lamp broken and very dirty. No mini bar in then room and not even a bottle of water. Wi fi very low and not often working. Really not possible to work if you need to.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Area safe and convenient. Location central.
Cons: I stayed there for six nights. Very overpriced for London. Please look at the photos I posted of our room. That is what the rooms truly look like, nothing like they look like on the website. Peeling wallpaper, old mattress, outdated furniture, no safe in the room, rude front desk.
