Dinner was excellent
It was good returning to a hotel we knew where the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Position, good value for money, friendly staff Room was above train track ( London Underground) so was very busy
Staff were very helpful. Nice clean looking lobby. Good fire escape facilities. At check-in were trying to charge us for an extra baby cod (child < 2yrs) while in the initial advertisement baby cods were free of charge. After a short but crisp discussion showing them booking info on paper printed from the site, staff finally admitted the cod was indeed free of charge. Phone charges for local calls are ridiculously expensive, real robbery. Looking at the quality of the rooms, the general service facilities and costs, and comparing with other hotels, a 4-star classification is overrated.
This hotel is the quietest in london
10th floor room Noise for rooms overlooking the railway lines
The friendliness of the staff, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always smiling and extremely helpful.
Great value for money. Good sized room. Breakfast was really tasty. There have been negative reviews about this hotel, please ignore.
parking room cleanliness
What I liked about this hotel was the close vicinity to Kensington gardens and the underground station we stayed at this hotel two times this trip, The first saty we checked in early, the only room available was at the mezzanine. though it was a non smoke room, the room smelled badly and the outlets for the laptop were hidden behind the refrigerator. The second time we upgraded to a better more expensive room , which was nicer but also showed some bad points, the exterior windows seals were partly gone, and the airconditioning which looked ancient was noisy. Overall my impression was that this was once a great hotel for its day but today is in dire need of maintenance and repairs. Also the exterior looks very dirty. The prices are very high compared to the room you get. Overall I don't think I would make use of this hotel again.
public areas look really well, staff very good and very convenient location I perbooked internet access but it did not work satisfactorily. When I reported it a new connection was brought up fairly quickly but I had been very inconvenienced overnight and in checking in online in time and on checkout the front desk staff did not appear able to handle a request that some deduction to the 24 hour rate be made.
Handy for the Albert Hall and Kensington shopping
i like evere thing in Sheraton Park Tower no thing
The staff were very friendly, room was very well presented and very clean, parking was very conveniantly considering the Hotels location. Would have been helpful if the name of the hotel was displayed on the main road(high street) as at a glance its a casino. had to drive by a couple of times to find the main entrance of hotel. Not good!
Very handy for city centre The bathroom was too small
very good location of hotel, near park, nice part of city, excellent for city trip. no
very good bath amenities and good food timely service excellent location the rooms are to small the bathrooms dont have bidets and the room should have been properly checked b4 hand as light bulbs didnt work the shower drain was blocked
Spacious rooms with awesome view. The location of the hotel is excellent.
Room was comfortable, breakfast was good Breakfast was overpriced
there was a washing hose in the bathroom the rooms are a bit cold
bedrooms where beautifully decorated, and the bed was really big and comfy
location your company procedure for the reservation was very poor & unprofessional
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room atmosphere is verycomfortable. Reception and Councier staff are very efficient and welcoming Nothing of significance, though we have to ask them daily for the coffee mate, cream and cups. They provide only two small packets daily, which means each guest can only frink one cup a day !! a bit annoying. Furthermore, they offered to upgrade to me to Business floor against paying 75 pounds daily. The room was exactly the same as the classic. the only additional things were new furniture (meaningless), breakfast and internet access. The additional charge was exremely high for these things!
The hotel's very central and a walking distance from many attractions - even in the cold winter weather. Museums, Harrods, high-end shopping and parks are all very near. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, available 24/7. We had an early flight back so checked out of the room and left early (6am) - we were greeted upon departure with take-away coffee and tea, along with fruits and pastries. Literally left good taste in our mouths as we left the hotel. We'll surely return to the Thompson on our next visit to London! The room as several articles which seem complimentary (such as USB cable, etc.) which upon checkout apparently cost quite a lot (we were charged 10 GBP for the cable). Continental breakfast is not diverse - just a few pork cold-cuts, a couple of cheeses, some juice, coffee, pastries etc. We asked for a few slices of tomato and cucumber and were charged 4 GBP for them.
liked everything nothing
there were very obviously prostitutes hanging around inside the hotel at night and this was not discreet at all
The staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms were really nicely fitted out with unexpected amenities like Bose iPod speakers.Great position for most of Londons attractions. Nice touches like coffee and croissants available in reception for early check out guests. Room service and housekeeping were particularly quick with their assistance and the prter conciege people seemd to genuinely want to help. Overall a really nice place to stay. The restaurant facilities are very poor indeed. The casual restaurant is right in the reception and was blighted by a freezing cold blast of wind every time the main door opened ( which was many times ). It also looked more like a reception than a place to eat - a place to drink coffee or wait for someone rather than a place to eat, even casually. The menu offered high quality food but the range was very limited, especially for vegetarians. In fact vegetarians in general are very poorly served by this hotel.
Excellent breakfast in our room. Air con in the bar - we were freezing at 8pm on Sunday.
staff location facilities room and bathroom too small 2 coffee and a water gbp16
nice rooms, clean pool, staff is excellent
spacious room and amenities in room slow service in the Chinoiserie and staff not paying attention to room, must wait to catch their attention
location only room was smoky on non smoking flooor
friendly faces during peak season the hotel should have more than one choice to experience the after noon treat
Service minded hotel staff , devotedness of the concierge staff helping and organizing theater, journeys etc
Our stay at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower was truely amazing, the service is excellent, we were upgraded on arrival due to a request I had made, as it was my husband's birthday. The atmosphere is great the staff cannot do enough for you. The treatments were brilliant. Can't wait for our next trip.
Friendly and helpful staff, good rooms and service level. Noisy street - room facing the road, not flexible check in/out hours despite that I informed the reception about early arrival and departure in advance.
the Tenth floor bar/restaurant is superb and has fantastic views throughout the day. the staff were fabulous the room was a bit dated and worn but still very nice.
Excellent staff and good room for London
The room was comfortable and spacious, whilst the staff were vwery attentive.
Great location on Kensington High Street. Pleasant view from room. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
The location was excellent and the staff were great ambassadors for the hotel from reception through to housekeeping
Location was perfect. The hotel staff recommended some excellent restaurants and were extremely helpful.
Great Location and great views of Kensington Palace, staff that spoke english were good. Room was small, price was high for room and some staff very poor.
The location to the Albert Hall. We were not pre-warned that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment and therefore noise levels were very high.
Location And the room Gym can be better.
I liked the fact that it is located beside the Hyde Park which gives a nice view from your room and makes it easy to take a walk there and enjoy the fresh air. Didnt like the GYM.
hospitality of the staff. location
Looks nice You have to pay internet, small rooms,
The Doorman We waited too long for the room to be ready at check in. Very small rooms. Over priced for what you get. We stayed at the Ritz Hotel on our last visit for the same price and it was far superior.
The room we stayed in was looking rather tired, it was not as good as the rooms we had had on our last two visits
Everything was delightful. The restaurant is one of London's best.
Greta Location, Very Quiet, Poorly and wrongly decorated, Very expencive for its worth,
we had street view off harrods christmas parade it was brillant grand children loved it i would have liked to see a tea /coffee tray in room all hotels we have stayed at have this
The staff are excellent. Central London pricing.
I walk in the Hotel, and they have sold my room becouse I arrive at 10:00PM even it was GTD by credit card. The front-desk manager at first denied that there is any booking under my name, then he deleted my name from the computer screen when i was watching my name pop-up
The bathroom was far too small, couldn't turn at all!! Will not use this hotel again.
room was quite spacious and location quite central food was not very good byt fair for England
Service was outstanding. They provided extra towels and outlet adapter when asked. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great place to use for our home base for our anniversary getaway to London. Centrally located downtown. Close to the tube. Full English breakfast was included in our reservation but I was informed that not every reservation qualified for the "full" breakfast and instead they received a continental breakfast. Limited menu in hotel restaurant.
The location of the hotel - central, being within walking distance of Knightsbridge tube station, yet quiet enough to get an undisturbed nights sleep! Vey clean hotel, providing a very good breakfast.
its central position to Kingsbridge and shopping Water in bath and shower not hot enough at any time
Very friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room, well positioned for C London.
Well designed room; very complete; lots of nice touches. Heated towel rack; jacuzzie tub; upscale furnishings; even has a couple of 110/115 outlets. Location cannot be beat; just down from Harrods and up from South Kensington Underground station two stops away from Victoria Station and 4 stops away from Westminster Station. The BigBus "hop on hop off" number 36 is just out front and the narrated tour the bus provides last right at 3.5 hours with city traffic and goes to every single place of interest. Tour bus pricing varies based on package deal but around $30 per person. The staff of the hotel always exceeds expectation; Neal, the head concierge; is full of insights for the area; found us a large private van to Heathrow for $65. We had 4 big bags from a twoo week Cruise, so the large Mercedes was excellent. The hotel and its ammenities are moderately pricied if not leaning a little toward expensive, as in breakfast; but in tota,l worth the money especially if on vacation. A superior experience; will stay here again when visiting London for sure.
The Rembrandt is in a great location not far from the many sights of London. We had a wonderful room with a balcony and a spa bath! It was excelent.
The Hotel staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and very very helpful. They always remember me from my previous stay. The disabled facilties are not upto dda standards. The ramp to the reception is unsafe, too steep and not legal!! You must get the electric wheelchair lift repaired and make sure that it can operated by the wheelchair user from the pavement. either that place a bell outside so that the attention of the reception staff can be alerted. I would recommend this hotel to able bodied persons, but not to wheelchair users.
This was a very charming hotel. The location was wonderful - only a few blocks from an Underground station and Hyde Park. The staff was great - very helpful and friendly. The concierge helped with getting tickets to museums and other attractions as well as trains, which saved a great deal of time not waiting in long lines. We took advantage of the breakfast service. The food was good with lots of options. The waitstaff was very attentive. We did not have to wait long for assistance. The maid staff was fine as well and also very friendly. On several occasions, we had to call the front desk to request additional towels and they arrived within minutes. The Rembrandt is an older hotel with some of the issues associated with that. For example, the "switch" that controlled power to the room would "break" if the bathroom door was closed to hard in our room or a neighboring room. This could be easily fixed by tapping on the control panel. The room had a small table and desk, so there was no room for a wardrobe. It was a little difficult living out of a suitcase for two weeks. It would have been smarter to remove the desk and substitute some drawers for clothing.
Pool Paper thin walls, constant slamming of doors in the hallway!
The very good location of the hotel and helpful staff, also good heating. The toilet in the bathroom didn't work too well and no extractor for the steam in bathroom.
Our room was on the small side.
Stayed only for one day instead of three. The room was too small and the hotel overvalued.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, great design and ambience.
Friendly staff. a good location for exploring Central London. Decor was very tired and worn. Only one lift (small). Breakfast was ok but tables were not always fully supplied (condiments missing etc.), and rather slow and overpriced for what it was. No tea making facilities in the room.
location a bit dark and a small room
Quiet and quite small Lousy Breakfast buffet
Very nicely decorated Problems with WiFi connection and inexperienced staff
Its location and coziness. Small rooms
The boiler was not working for two days in a row. Its summer time, meaning that it is bearable if you fancy a cold shower !!!!
The location is perfect and discreet. The price is reasonable with VAT and breakfast included, its difficult to find this standard in a good location in London. The hotel rooms are quaint and clean. It feels like coming home to a quiet space. Breakfast could be more varied especially if your stay is a long one. The staff are friendly but could be a bit more dynamic. Carpets need to be cleaned.
location excellent however very dark and strange hotel sound proofing between rooms non existent too dark for my liking
Location is amazing. Off the bustling path. Coffee could have been better!
The communication of the hotel staff was excellent, they were all very proffessional. My compliments to all of them.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. It is located in an excellent position, especially if you are visiting London to see the sights. No.
The basement room and the reception the broken shower that was only partly repaired
Staff friendliness Location Rooms too small
Great location for museums and shopping. Comfortable but small room.
It was pretty close to most tourist attractions. Staff at times can be uncoperative.
Very hospitable staff. Room very cosy. Breakfast room very clean and breakfast very good value. None
the vacum cleanin of the carpet was very bad
Decor and ambience - a very Victorian feel. There was nothing we deidn't like.
hotel was quaint...nicely decorated, good location, staff helpful and friendly, location (when staying in room on the front of the hotel) was very noisy, room was very hot....temperature not adjustable..
excellent location, great hospitality, charming room, room service food was also good.
Location was excellent. Totally charming decor and welcome. 24/7 open. My request for "no feathers" was immediately addressed. All conveniences were provided. I do not understand the distinction between "didn't like" and "complaints". When I asked for the smoking room I had booked for, I was told perhaps there was a suite I could have that was smoking. (Not at these prices, I thought.) My room for 163 BP per night was so small as to be claustrophobia inducing. The bed was hard and very short. The price of breakfast was insane.
Attitude of staff, complimentary newspapers, ambience The room was really tiny
home from home
Everything was just perfect - absolutely no complaints and cannot wait to stay there again Nothing
Very cosy, silent, good breakfast. Unfortunately, the web did not tell that the single room had only one single bed and was tremendously tiny. Do not book a single room!!!
everything we asked 2 separate beds but received room with 1 king size
Stay was wonderful. As described, the room was small, but quite nice.
The staff dotes on their guests. They go out of their way to do things well. They made us feel special.
The location, the competence and friendliness of the staff, and the breakfasts which, although expensive, were excellent The steep entrance stairway, the small lifts, the lack of suitcase stands, the height of the beds, the difficulty of getting into the shower and the danger of slipping on the bottom of the bath, and the cost. Whether I would recommend it depends on the type of person making the enquiry.
I like location and the interior design very much. And the staff is great. Bit limited on spaces (room and public place)
Location and layout. Hotel is located right beside tube station and within a lot of great amenities and attractions.
The location is perfect being steps from the South Kensington tube station and close to museums, shops, food, etc but not right next to the major tourist stops so you don't feel you are surrounded only by tourists. Plus, free drinks in the mini fridge The rooms were on the small side but what would be expected in London.
Everything was state of the art. Staff were very helpful. Location is great with the underground close by and a bus stop out front. Prime location in an outstanding area of London
Everything...gorgeous facility, interesting decorations, lovely staff, fabulous location...just shy of perfection!Q Rooms are not huge, but still loved loved loved the hotel
Egerton House is the best hotel I have stayed in over a 25 year period of visiting London. The staf couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful and my room (a standard double, I believe) was lovely and comfortable.
Great location -a short walk to Harrods,V&A, and super little patisseries, restaurants and shops. Room had spacious bathroom with the lovely Penhaligon products.
I liked the small size (no convention) and the personal attention. The rooms are really small although I recognize that this comment could be made about many London hotels.
Excellent personal service, great food - quite simply a great hotel. You would be very hard pushed to find anything even slightly wrong with this hotel !
The hotel is very confortable, the staff is friendly; the breakfast is exellent; the rooms are beautiful no
I liked the decor and the products in the room and how clean and nicely refurbished the hotel is. I thought the rooms are a bit small for the price
the comfort, service and the little gadgets that felt like your in your own house. Too many furniture in the bedroom that made the room small
well I loved the place and the staff specially, they even went with me to show the room and they kept asking of I need anything to insure my comfort. it was great! the rooms are a bit small, and i see it a bit expensive but this is London after all.
Due to airline delays, our exhausted family of three arrived at the Pelham after midnight and was met with a warm welcome and beautifully appointed room (with a comfortable extra bed set up as requested for our son). Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. The Pelham could not have been lovelier, and the location is a perfect home base for exploring London.
Our room was perfectly set up for the traveller with a perfect set up for your clothes and plenty of room. The entrance has 3 steps,a long step and then 2 more steps which makes it impossible for the handicap to access. So sad for such a perfect hotel. This seems to be true for a lot of London hotels.
I first stay at the Pelham in 1993. Based on this stay it is as good or better than ever. A civilized haven in the best corner of London.
clean room, facilities good, breakfast v.good if little expensive .service quick efficient good location room small bit cramped
Ultra quiet room. Good bar. Good location Used Kayak to request an early check-in (1 hr) to make a confidential business call. Automessage from hotel "could not commit" to this. Arrived 90 mins early to plead my case, but didn't get access till 10 mins prior to 3pm check-in. In other words, they placed zero priority on this simple ask despite having 4 hrs between departure and check-in. Also requested a room with a desk and accessible outlets, but got a room with no desk at all - and only accessible outlets were under the television, across the room at the head of the bed. Lighting in room was terrible. Very slow service in the restaurant
The location for sightseeing, the facilities and the staff of the hotel were excellent. The costs to stay were also very reasonable. I reccomend this hotel to stay.
V nice hotel, attentive staff. Room too small, had to ask several times to have safe fixed, extra blanket provided and light bulb replaced. Reception desk not v well- manned (often empty).
Great location, staff was excellent. A bit old, but so is most of London, - minor compared to the benefits, it was in good condition given how old building was.
very nice hotel in a great area. the reception staff is fantastic a bit less the service employees. all in all good place
- turndown service - chocolates on pillows - let me check-in early - helped me secure a taxi for wherever I was going - friendly attentive staff
very nice design hotel, comfy lobby & rooms showergel / shampoo weren't filled up after user
Loved the location, the staff, the overall comfort of the hotel. It was perfect. Highly recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to be in the south kensington area.
The spaciousness of the lobby. Not stuffy! The problem was they had no booking from us,checked everything! They solved it and gave us a room for the price agreed.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and accomodated an early check in.Especially like to mention Andrea Doyle who showed a great deal of empathy and was agreat ambassador for the hotel. Room was small, you could hardly get past the bed, staircase still not finished which detracted from otherwise luxurious feel to the hotel. Not sure you could desribe it as a superior double !
This hotel is so beautiful, amalgam of charming English style with some bold fashion details Hotel rooms are gorgeous, all are renovated, free WiFi, complimentary coffee and tea in the room, good size closet and 24 h room service! Location is tremendous few minutes walk to a shopping area including Harrods mall, there are many restaurants and cafes near by as well, from fancy 5 star French to little local bars, all are great! If you are about explore the city, right on the corner from the hotel there are few museums, Hyde Park and Kensington palace! Safe, clean neighborhood, 3min walk to the South Ken Tube Station, just perfect! I am very happy with the hotel, staff is so friendly and very helpful
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, and the location is impossible to beat. The service was impeccable. Each time I needed assitance from the front desk, I was given all that I needed and more. The concierge team -- Mercy, Jessica and Ahmed - were amazing. They simply went out of their way to make everyting go as smoothly as possible. The breakfast is very good. And the public hang-out spaces are beautifully designed. The only possible downside of this terrific hotel is the size of the single, small room, which is very small. But it's well designed, and has a great energy. I find this deal hard to beat. Would stay there again in a heartbeat, and would return with my family as well.
personalized service. Very friendly and courteous staff. The rooms are very dark due to colors, design and lighting. Bathrooms are very poor in safety. The barthtub is very slippery when taking a shower and the shower heads are very have very low perssure and flow. Bathroom tiles color, black, is not the best choice and makes the look of bathrooms very depressing.
Great location, very helpful staff and superb service Help from teh staff was excellent
Very good service, very intent concierges and porters. I didn't like your breakfast serviece. Early moning when I lived your hotel, there was not cold water in the tap, which is unacceptably for five-star hotel.
Stuff cooperation Food
Location of the hotel, unobtrusive room service Couldn't find a shoe-shine set, failed to take cold shower.
everyhing outstanding... I strongly suggest this hotel
Stylish decor. Excellent food; attentive service Service ar beakfast was charming but amateurish
Iwas un happy all the stay my room was very bad Very old very expensive
The decoration is great and the personel very pleasant and helpfull. We had the luck to be upgraded in a junior suite and had the surprise of a very nice cake for my husband's birthday. Location on the park and near to the best areas.
Service and standard/condition of room . Service on arrival was less than disappointing. Room not ready ( arrived post 3.00pm) room very tired - bulbs out headboard stained general housekeeping unsatisfactory, reception staff not 5start trained.
Classy apartment with full kitchen, dishwasher and clothes washer dryer in the room. Great service and very clean. We had a drawing room/ dinning room perfect for inviting friends. A few blocks away from V&A Museum, Royal Albert Hall and South Kensington tube station. Many great restaurants and classy shopping. It comes with a price.
