Pros: The location is great. Right around the corner from the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Across the street from the Tube, and surrounded by great restaurants. This was the perfect home base for a weekend in London. The decor was charming and whimsical, sort of Alice in Wonderland with lots of bright colors and a bird theme which ran through the hotel. Our room was small as most London Hotels are, and finding a place to stow the luggage was a bit of a hat trick, but once we figured it out, everything was great. Although we never had breakfast at the hotel, we did have morning coffee and tea in the tea room every day. Delightful. Would return in an instant!

Pros: The hotel is truly lovely. I think we had the smallest room there which I booked unknowingly. But it worked just fine. The bed was so comfy. There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

Pros: I loved pretty much everything about the hotel. I stayed there twice in September. It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

Cons: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

Pros: Great location, nice staff, comfortable bed
Cons: Room is too small and breakfast is overpriced

Pros: The location was good and the staff were very efficient. Hotel was clean and service was excellent.

Pros: The Kensington hotel staff are the highlight of our stay. They went out of their way to help get our room ready as we had arrived on an early morning flight. We found the staff very hospitable respectful and relaxing.
Cons: I think the lighting in rooms could be improved. Carpet looking a bit tired. Guests above us had very noisy children so perhaps room allocation of families with small children needs to be considered - we did have to call reception several times as it was very annoying having the noise above us.

Pros: I regretted not spending my previous days in London in this hotel, lobby & outside seating was beautiful, staff was polite and helpful, room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Room interior was bland compared to the rest of the hotel, duvets were too heavy and hot better for cold winter weather. Overpriced for what you get, bathroom was too small I could barely shower comfortably.

Pros: All in all, I'd rate this hotel very highly. The staff - in particular Mariana, Karina, Sofia, Niyali, Mario & Georgi - were absolutely fantastic. They went out of their way to help us in any way they could. The hotel is pretty and the room we stayed in - a club double - was immaculate and decorated nicely. I will say whoever took the pics on the web site was a genius because the room was much smaller than it looked, but it was all we really needed at night. In our experience, all hotel rooms are small in Europe, at least in this price range. However, we were left fruit, wine, water and candies, chocolates on the pillow at night, rose petals on the first night. Just lovely. It was located in South Kensington which is a bit away from the city, but is much nicer and quieter. I would definitely stay here again. When we trooped in at night after being out all day, exhausted, it was like being met by friends. Thanks to everyone who made our stay wonderful!

Pros: We loved our stay at Crown Plaza right from the moment we were greeted warmly at the hotel entrance. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our wish for a quiet room with a view. Thank you, Simon! Breakfast was a bonus in a spacious area with a very broad selection (including full English breakfast) to cater for the many international guests. The location is excellent with shops, supermarket, pubs all very close. Gloucester Road Underground station is across the road which has a direct link to Heathrow. (Does have some steps, though.) The restaurant is good and the bar area which opens onto a private park is exceptional in warm weather. Overall the vibe of this hotel is of a busy but well organised property with a family friendly, welcoming, international home away from home feel!

Cons: Whilst the decor is quite attractive there are some signs that it is getting a little tired. This is only a minor détraction from an overall comfortable room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: - I was very happy with the service and location. - Concierge were very helpful in giving us the right recommendation and advice - I had a noisy next door neighbour which the hotel staff were very quick in resolving the next day and also managed to upgrade the room.

Pros: This year was my turn to take charge of our Anniversary surprise - I knew I wanted to do a romantic night out London and wanted an extra special room to make the night even more magical so I booked a stay in the Drop dead Gorgeous splash suit. It really was drop dead gorgeous! It exceeded all my expectations in every way, my partner was speechless as we were shown around our room. The room was beautifully decorated; balloons and petals were put in our room which we appreciated so much. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The hot tub in the room was highlight of the night. It was so warm and cosy. The bed was so comfortable - We both slept like babies and had a wonderful breakfast in the morning to end our stay. I have been bombarded with messages asking about this room and have highly recommended it to every single person. Thank you so much for making our night so special! Hope to visit again!

Pros: I liked the hotel a lot! First of all, it is super cute and stylish! I really liked how it is designed! My room was small, but I felt very comfortable staying there. Making the reservation I requested a “Green Room” and a hotel’s assistant responded momentarily, answered all my questions and promised me to follow up on all my requests. Everything was finally done. I really liked the bathroom. It had a big bathtub and very nice shower cabin. Bath amenities were of high quality! An additional plus was daily complementary water and snacks. I found the hotel’s location great. It is just across the street from the Natural History Museum, 10 min by walk from Kensington Gardens/Hide Park. It is a pretty easy walk to Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. The metro station is also right next to the hotel.

Cons: There were not big minuses for me. The only little issues I can point to are: a small room size (if there are 2 of you, then the room can seem very small; plus, big luggage takes a lot of space in the room) and a super slow small elevator which barely fits 3 people.

Pros: It’s location was good, the food in Scoff and Banter was also good and offered reasonable value.
Cons: Some of the “business class” benefits were not present and some had to be asked for. As per every hotel I have stayed in the buffet breakfast was cold! These heater things can not keep food hot! A shame as it was well cooked and well presented.

Cons: Most of the stay was fine, but twice we were given dirty towels, and one afternoon they turned the water off to the building for hours without warning. Cons: I didn’t have breakfast included in my booking which was fine, I paid for my breakfast and after getting my breakfast the host asked me for my room number, he then came back and told me it wasn’t included very rudely, I then gave him my receipt and he continued to yell at me so I gave him my receipt again and he just said oh, no sorry or anything. But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

Cons: Don't buy the breakfast. At nearly £20 each you should expect a certain standard. This was verging on dangerous. Undercooked bacon and sausage. Scrambled eggs were watery and a strange colour. Everything was cold. Literally the worst breakfast I've had in over 35 years of travelling.

Pros: The room was very nicely furbished (as was the hotel in general), clean, pleasant to look at and had everything one needed for a short stay in London. Coffee and Tea in the room was also well appreciated. The breakfast was super at an affordable price and the waitering service worked hard to please their guests. The staff were in general very helpful and were prepared to offer assistance if it was needed. The location of the hotel is superb if your focus is South Kensington area but is also well connected by the underground to other parts of the capital.

Pros: Location.
Cons: So, my stay at 100 queens gate was 5 nights, so substantial for a hotel. I had to upgrade the room because the one I had booked on booking was so small and no windows, it was claustrophobic. I asked for an upgrade and I was initially told they didn’t have any other available rooms, I then called reception again spoke to someone else and they gave me a different room for 40 pounds more per night, fine. The ac didn’t work. Maintenance came to fix it, they said the filter was blocked. After 1 hour it stopped working again! The hot water in the shower was coming out after maybe 10 minutes the water was opened. The room card worked for the first two days, then stopped working and every day I needed someone to open the room and gym for me. (Many other guests I spoke to experienced this issue). Second time this happened a guy from the hotel staff came to open my room and didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience or the fact I waited 15 minutes for him to arrive. The rooms are not cleaned properly at all. The staff is clearly NOT highly trained, especially for a hotel where they charge you 400 pounds for a room. The hotel has been refurbished but lifts are really slow, and one of them stopped working. Having experienced the latter issues, all I got was a bottle of wine sent to my room. The upgrade price (40 pounds more per night) were fully charged, and got no discount at all nor a call by the manager to my room to apologise. You kind of expect things like these in a 5 star hotel! Food is very average too.

The staff were in general very helpful and were prepared to offer assistance if it was needed. The location of the hotel is superb if your focus is South Kensington area but is also well connected by the underground to other parts of the capital.
Cons: While the room was well furbished it was dark, looking out onto a shaft and it appeared to be an ex-smokers room which was disturbing every time one entered the room. There was a too problem with the booking over booking.com (generated by a user mishap) and although booking.com and 100 Queen's gate Hotel did eventually resolve the issue in the end, the intermediate friction had its toll.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location, and decor in reception and bar was very nice. Rooms were just spruced up regular Hilton rooms. Gentlemen making cocktails on first night was friendly, and made some amazing drinks.
Cons: We were given a room with a loud AC unit outside the window, with views of the roof. Noise was loud even with windows shut. They offered us a upgrade, and moved us to the 6th floor, which had tiny rooms, dark and lower ceilings. Complained, so moved us to the same grade room on 3rd floor, which was the same as our original room, just on the other side of the building. Were told to leave the bar as my husband was wearing smart tweed shorts. There were 4 people in the bar wearing trainers, and a gent who was wearing both trainers and a baseball cap. Thought this was ridiculous.

Pros: The best thing about this hotel is the location to most things in the center of London. There are many restaurants and stores in the area also. The tube stop is down the street.
Cons: We stayed for 5 nights. We left a note after the first night asking for a couple of maintenance related things (light in bathroom was out and tub and sink was slighlt clogged). We also requested some wash cloths. Good for 3 days, not for 2.

Pros: Amazing location! Right near the tube and shops. Staff were very friendly and made sure my stay was the best it could be. Would highly recommend this place.
Cons: The only problem I reported was the remote control for the tv was clunky.
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location for the high street and a short taxi ride from the Albert hall.
Cons: Beware of the £50 per NIGHT holding fee they charge as I didn’t see any detail on this when I booked. They also don’t refund it until 5-7 days after you check out which I also wasn’t made aware of until three follow up calls after. The room was also a bit shabby which I normally wouldn’t mind as we are real it’s just a place to rest your head people and are rarely in our room anywhere we go but it was an occasion stay and the room had very obvious paint touch ups needed and the staff weren’t rude by any means but not overly helpful or friendly either and I found being told to go sit down when ordering at the bar and then being charged a table service fee very strange.

Pros: The location is very convenient. Less than 5 minutes away from Gloucester Rd tube station with plenty of places to eat around the area
Cons: The furniture was dated and old. The chair did not feel solid and everything in the room looked and felt like it was at least 15 years old and had not been updated. The bathroom (whilst a good size) had a musty smell to it, which added to the feeling that this place needed an upgrade. The TV had very few channels on it (Freeview has more variety) and i couldn't even find the basic channels like BBC, ITV etc. There was very little room for hanging clothes since half the width of the (door-less) handing space was take up by the ironing board. The AC was very strong and the fan speed at its lowest was high. Trying to turn the temperature up or down was useless, you just get the same cool temperature. Not worth the price at all!! There are hotels in the area less than 5 minutes walk at a lower cost and significantly better than this.

Pros: The location was good and the staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Room had too many beds in for the size. 3 tier beds meant no head room in middle bunk. I had been given a bottom bunk because I have a bad back but someone had taken it. As bottom bunks were on the floor O would have struggled with them as well, to stand up when I got out. People having sex in bunks next to me and person under me had the sour smell of someone who had not washed in a long time. I suspect the person was homeless and using the hostel for somewhere to live. Breakfast was ok. I stay in hostels a lot and have stayed in the Safestay in York which was much better and not so crammed together, cleaner too. The laminate on stairs to reception was lifting on each step which is a trip hazard.

Cons: Showers are combined — male and female together (quite uncomfortable for both). There are lockers in rooms but you need to have your own padlock and a key (otherwise buy at the reception). No towel provided (again, can rent there). At the reception you get a card to access the hostel and your room, and you get a paper that they expect you to carry with you everywhere (so that they can identify you, if necessary). No one ever asked for that paper, but the idea itself is annoying. There is no microwave or a fridge to cook your own breakfast or store some food

Pros: Not much.
Cons: Everything, room was small, windows were so dirty I could hardly see out of them, room smelled of stale smoke from about 10yrs ago! Bathroom was even smaller than the room, smaller than a cleaning cupboard. Bath enamel or top coating was worn through, bathroom door slid open and shut and made an awful noise when doing either. Real fast was terrible. No care in cooking at all, this hotel is old, looks old. My main thought during my stay was, “wonder when they will demolish it”. I think that’s the only thing that could help it.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very good and cleaning service was really good
Cons: Lifts should be improved
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the three different concierge who helped us. Location is great. Surprisingly quiet. The room was small, but adequate. The bed was comfortable; the bed linens and towels were beyond expectations.
Cons: There was a bit of a sour smell in the bathroom - the shower curtain perhaps? Minor issue. Otherwise, the bathroom was clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was fantastic and staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room on the 25th floor had a beautiful view of London and the hotel was very convenient for our purposes.
Cons: Breakfast was lovely although a bit pricey.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was excellent for us - really handy for the London museums and the underground station. The hotel was of a good standard and all of the staff we encountered were polite and helpful. We had a problem with the hairdryer not working in the room but it was fixed promptly.
Cons: The room card did not work the lift and we had to go back to reception to get it fixed. The hairdryer did not work, we could not get a response from reception on the room phone but we went down to reception (from floor 20) and then they sent someone to fix it .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was good, restaurant food was lovely
Cons: Has shower over bath and bath mat was mouldy underneath. Had to ask for replacement toilet paper and domestic staff did not speak English so could not understand what we were asking for.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Room service are trying to do their best to make you satisfy even if they don't have the thing you asked for
Cons: Reception are not helpful (most of them ) I asked for extension twice because they don't have black socket near the bed . Everyday they are telling me we are run out and we will put a note for the next shift to give you once available, but every day I feel like repeating my self when ask about it and getting the same response, annoying. The room is so narrow . They don't have firm below if you prefer it. Breakfast is normal and less.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: This is the most horrible stay I have ever experienced, the staff were very unfriendly except the bell captins, whenever we call to requests something they repoaned as if they are forced to respond. The house keeping team directly try to enter the room to clean before knocking on the door first to check if someone is inside this happened every day even after speaking to them. The supposedly clean towels they provided always smelled stincky. The elevators were not working perfectly and they cards every couple of days stopped working and I had to go down to change them. The room size was not as described in the site

Pros: Location was amazing literally round the corner from earls court tube station. It really is the 3 minutes it says. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and on the tube line for both the West end theatre district and kew gardens. Staff were pretty friendly and helpful. The breakfast was continental and fresh with cereal choices, fruit, cheeses and meats. Tea,coffee and fruit juice. My mum and I were more than happy with this. If you want anything more there's lots of choices on the high street. We had a small double room on the top floor and it was exactly that a small double. I thought it was a lot nicer than on the pictures. Really nice furniture and good amenities. Lovely view of the roof tops. If you're a light sleeper I'd ask for a room at the front as the tube station can get quite loud and warm. It's spotlessly clean. It was small but perfectly formed. I will definitely be staying here again :)

Pros: Love the staff! I have a package arrived at the hotel and by that time I have already left London however the staff contacted me and when I arrange a courier to pick up the package the staff named Andrea willingly preparing the package to be pick up. Location wise is excellent as the hotel is very nearby tube station (Earl's Court) and getting everywhere is no hassle. Love the croissant provided for breakfast every morning.

Pros: The hotel charged me 455 pounds for the cancellation, although I did stay in the hotel with another reservation. It's only after one or two days that they'll charge you for the cancellation, which is 2 weeks before our arrival. Thus, We spent more than 1000 pounds in there for three nights, that's so incredible.

Cons: Everything was great. I don’t think the sofa bed would be comfortable for and adult but IK for a child
4.8 Okay
Pros: The hotel was well-situated near a Tube stop. Front desk staff were friendly.
Cons: The room was small (despite being described as an "executive" room with more space), we had no telephone, and the "desk" could hardly function as a bedside table (which were completely absent). We never sampled the included breakfast because the line was so long (and/or the space so small) that we could not even see into the room to see what was offered.

Cons: The stop behind the door in the bathroom makes it hard to open the door properly and use the sink. Would probably be nicer for the people underneath if there were rugs on the floor as it's a wood floor so I can imagine it could get quite loud underneath.

Cons: I got the basement room and somewhat during the summer it can be stuffy with 4 people staying in the room but no big issue (fan is provided in the room).

Pros: Location
Cons: You might like this hotel prices and location but this is a trap.
I stayed in this hotel twice and both times were bad and I documented it with pictures and video.
My first stay the gave me a room in the basement with a view of walking pedestrians feet and the sound of cars tires and the entrance door was the place where they keep their garbage bags.... but that wasn't the real problem... the real problem was the entrance was full of mice! So I complained to the hotel about this and they moved me to another room.
In my second stay, they gave me a room on the 2nd floor without an elevator and I had to carry my suitcases alone though the narrow staircase without any offer to help me with it. and it's important to mention that the is room in a building around the block about half a km (about 1000 feet) from the hotel lobby.
While I was sleeping in the tiny bedroom exhausted from the two floors staircase I woke up from dripping water! the ceiling light was dripping water on me! I since the room doesn't have a phone to call the front desk I had to walk to the down the street to the front desk to tell them to check it out and water with electricity doesn't mix! so I had to wait for about 3 hours then they asked me to go back room to find nothing changed then I called them from my mobile phone so I don't have to walk to them again under the rain. after an hour a maintenance guy who smelled like he had a lot to drink looked at it then told me that they can't fix it.
a few hours after several calls later they told me to gather my important stuff and check-in another hotel to spend that night in it.
the next day they asked me to move to another room in a different building and again it's in the basement.
After all that and on my checkout day I asked to extend my checkout for an hour and they said you have to pay £10 for an extra hour. I told them I had to move from 3 different rooms during my stay with you and you ask me for £10?! the rude hotel receptionist said "if you are not happy with this write a bad review about it, but this is the hotel policy"
So this is the review you asked for.
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was beautifully presented
Cons: but the double bed was two beds pushed together which resulted in a deep groove between the two beds. So it wasn't as comfortable as you'd expect
