I reserved a 7 passenger as we are a family of 6.. when I got there they had record of my reservation but no available 7 passenger vehicle.. they wanted me to take a 5 passenger! So I went to Eurocar next door, they price matched and had me in a 7 passenger in 10 mins. I will not use Hertz again

Pickup was a breeze, and drop even easier. SUV was clean and great for the snowy roads.

We live in Clovis New Mexico and had to drive to Lubbock Texas to return the rental. I wished we had Hertz closer to where we live

Poor and stressful. The office said my reservation was for EV, but this was not on the agreement anywhere. I had to pay more to upcharge to gas powered.

I do not like paying for extra insurance and then when I go for pick up I get charge more insurance because I used a 3rd party rental. I will not rent from Hertz again

Location drastically understaffed. One poor manager running the location alone, doing her best with a small stable of cars clearly behind on preventative maintenance. Waited two hours to get a vehicle (not in the class I reserved but a substitute), and with a broken window taped closed; otherwise I was told there would be no vehicles available. After returning the vehicle hours early I was charged an unknown $75 fee and received no receipt or accounting for this fee.

The receptionist at the desk was unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. My online reservation was unable to be fulfilled when arriving at the pick up site. I was told there were no availabilities and she wouldn’t even help me figure out how to get a car. It was handled very unprofessionally and it was all a waste of an hour of my time.

They charged me for a full recharge of the EV at pickup; however, the car was almost on empty when I picked it up. There were no instructions provided for recharging the EV. The representative was rude at the counter. I asked to get a different vehicle, but the guy insisted another car would cost $75/ day more. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I will never use Hertz or Kayak again.
