Lousy service and lousy car.

There was nothing wrong with car itself, but apart from that I cannot recommend NU Car in Los Angeles. We arrived at LAX in the morning around 10am. There had been no communication/description from NU Car about how to get from the terminal to the rental car agency, so we assumed they would have shuttle signage with the other rental car agencies. We were wrong. They do not answer their phones, but instead ask you to text message them for information. 4-5 text messages later they explain they are in the lobby of the Westin, and that we should take the Westin’s shuttle. Why this information was not communicated upon renting the car I have no idea. Dropping the car off after hours (5:30pm) the station in the Westin was closed. Again, there was zero communication about procedure. There was a drop box for keys, so we parked the car in their lot (once we figured out how to do so by walking around the parking garage for ten minutes), dropped the keys off and left. As we were leaving we encountered a family coming to pick up their NU Car rental who were completely confused and unable to reach anyone. If you’re thinking of renting from NU Car in Los Angeles and want my advice, I’ve got to say: just don’t do it, man. Jeff M

You need to know ahead of time to take the hotel shuttle to the Westin. There's no clear instructions on where to go to get picked up at LAX and they took hours to respond to a text per their automated phone instructions. Would be really helpful to include that up front on your website or phone recording. But once I got there and picked up the car everything was great, car was clean and had no issues the rest of the trip including drop off and shuttle back.

There was no one at the rental counter when we came to return the car and there were absolutely no direction listed to complete the rental return

crazy billing issues that they are refusing to rectify. poor paperwork communication. they should be much more transparent about their lack of one way car rentals.

NU is not a good rental company. They don’t have any details on how to get to their rental location from the airport. We arrived at LAX at 7:30am and tried to call them, but they didn’t open till 8:00. They said send a text, but it was just an automated response with no help. Finally we were able to find out we had to take a shuttle for a hotel that had no NU labeling or anything to let us know it was the right shuttle. We are defiantly going with a bigger rental company next time to make it a smoother time.

The price for the rental was amazing but it also came with a price. There were no clear instructions about what shuttle to take to the NU car rental pickup. I placed multiple calls to the phone number provided and i could never get assistance feom the front desk. When you call the automated voice gives you a number to text 'the manager' for assistance. So I did, and got NO reply for over 20 minutes. I was fustrated and confused as to why i couldnt get a call straight through to someone!? This was our first time using the LAX terminal and had no clue as to where the NU shuttle would arrive. And i was unable to get help!! By this time it felt like NU was a scam, not being able to get assistance with any of the phone numbers i was try. We decided to just call an uber and travel over to their office. That uber cost me an extra 30 dollars! While in the uber I finally get a text telling me what door and terminal to wait at to get a shuttle... Are you kidding me.... I finally got a text after 42 minutes!!? I text them back telling them my fustration and asking why their reply took so long. All i got was a ' sorry'.. Hate to break it to you NU rentals but a sorry wont get me my 30 dollars from uber back. And i will definitely stay clear from NU in the future.. Really, no phone number would connect to the front desk and whats with this 'text a manager' crap?? A reply back in 5 minutes would of been perfectly fine, but almost 45 minutes of waiting with no support!?? Pure horrible customer service. The check in was smooth, the return was smooth. I do have one other thing though, the car needed air in the tires. After about 2 hrs into my drive i get a 'check tire pressure' icon on the dashboard. All four tires were under 30 psi... The hell??? Does NU not check their tires before renting them out?? All tires were at different ranges from 22-28, the max psi is 52! Thats WAY too low. So we had to dish out 1.75 of our own money for that. When i returned the car and let the NU employee about the car tires he just brushed it off. No apologie no reason to why i was given a car in such condition. He simply said ok and wrote something down on a clip board. Never again will i rent NU car rentals. Im sticking to Sixth.

I never pickup the car because my flight from LAS to LAX 1079 with JetBlue was delayed the airplane had security issues. So I called NU from LAS to inform them of the involuntary circumstances no one answered and kept having the answering machine then I tried Priceline they said they will get back to me in 7 days!!! I used to search your engine for everything I want but with such incident I would go directly to the main agent. I kindly ask you for complete refund of my money

Showed up with a long line of other customers just to be told off there are no cars available. No point in making a reservation if it can't even be kept.

The vehicle was not clean, the staff at pick up she don’t know about vehicles,she try to get me by offering similar as an upgrade, when asked is it hatch back she said no but when got my vehicle that was hatch an after half hour wait I do not want to go back and change, the vehicle was scratches the whole driver side as well, it is economical YES
