We arrived at 16:30 as per reservation, the kiosk was closed and no one was answering our calls. Autoeurope told us they couldn’t explain shy hertz was closed and they could do nothing. The biggest problem booking through Kayak was that even though my car reservation was “confirmed”, when I got to the Hertz desk they said that it is a third party app so they did not have that reservation and only had a more expensive car to offer me for those dates. Because we were on a tight schedule, we couldn’t shop around last minute and ultimately had to take the more expensive car. Bad experience booking through Kayak and ultimately blame Hertz for also allowing themselves to be listed on third party websites without this guarantee.Reviewed 16 Jun 2024

Very significant hidden on costs at pickup, including extra charges for airport locations for pickup and drop off and additional charge for one way travel. Instruction for car pick-up and drop-off could be clearer. What is required for car pick-up, such as a US issued driver's license, and directions to get to the pick-up and drop-off locations.
