They tried to steal my luggage when I first came in, took them over 4 hours to bring my stuff up. I said enough of this bs and went to go down myself and get all my stuff to find it hiding in a room away from everyone else while the guy at the front was telling me "it'll be there shortly were a little backed up". Then to top it all off I find $35 of charges from the hotel of stuff I never used. I've never been so disrespected by a hotel in my life. Shady workers I highly recommend you don't stay here.
Location No swimming pool
Hotel was clean We booked a room for two night with a king size bed upon arrival we were not told they didn't have a room for us instead sent us to a room with double beds wouldn't accommodate us claiming they had "no more rooms available "... next day had issues relocating our luggage to next room. Parking was absurd $70 dollars a night ?? Overrated
Really nice lobby, rooms where clean The wifi wasn't free, they charged you to use a computer for $.40 per minute. I really needed a workstation. No hot tube or pool for $400 per night. Will not go back.
The value for the money is really good! It was clean, spacious, well decorated. We ensured to get two beds in the bedroom and we got them!
Location is excellent. Big hotel where you get lost. Looks and feel old, needs a major renovation.
Great location great front desk people beautiful view Drink left in room from previous occupant
We enjoyed the Marriott Marquis hotel very much , but the valet only parking is a bit spends. Thank goodness there is another parking garage one block over. Y
Friendly accommodating staff. Great location, beautiful facility. The observatory level was cool, but packed, so much so we didn't stay to enjoy the view. I would recommend to a friend. Disappointed that I reserved a room with a larger bed and due to room availability we were moved to a double, which my wife and I were unable to share. We're by no means large people. It would have been nice to be able to park or rental without being charged extra, but that seems to be a norm in the city.
They were accommodating and nice
The room was clean, the bed was amazing, location was walking distance to all things downtown, I felt safe with my young son, easy express checkout. No room service, for the money we spent I would've liked to see a free breakfast, the cost of parking is insane (it is SF though), no pool.
Everything else was great Price for parking
Comfortable and clean. Good location No room service
The room they put us in was very small. There was no refrigerator, no microwave, nothing that would make the stay comfortable or say luxury. Plus the parking cost and facilities fees are ridiculously high.
Location. Proximity to public transportation. Doors, fixtures show age, wear and tear. Facilities fee (which I assume were adjusted for SPG Platinum members)
Great location Restaurant can be improved, i. e. choice & prices slightly too high
Poor accommodations. Rude staff.
We had a view even from the 9th floor. Very clean and cozy. Staff was really kind. No mini fridge :(
I loved the view and staff was extremely friendly and the location great. Bed was very comfortable and and room was nice and clean. Mabye a lil upgrade on the appliances other than that it was great. I think for the resort fee it should have came with a little more amenities.
Great location. Nice staff. Bathroom too small. Drain didn't work well in tub. Sink drain wouldn't close. Toilet too close to door.
Location was nice for exploring the city. Room was clean/comfortable. NO INTERNET at this hotel... In the modern age, it's ridiculous that wifi/high speed internet is not included in the cost of the hotel when you purchase ahead of time. On top of that, I asked about wifi when I was checking in, and the lady told me we could get internet with an OPTIONAL ~$35 PER night fee, that included internet and other services like bike rentals. We didn't want to spend this, so it made sense that I couldn't connect to any wifi from my hotel room. When I checked out, they said they had charged us for the fee, and that it was required, despite the fact that we'd never connected to the internet. Outrageous that this wasn't just in the price of the hotel from the getgo... Don't bother with this place until they get with the modern age.
View was amazing, bed was comfortable, showers were updated, halls were quiet (well insulated walls). Easy access to hotel and downtown destination. Great overall. It did not provide a mini fridge. We had to ask for one.
You had to pay for WiFi and the restaurant had a very limited menu.
View was great, staff was very friendly, and room was very clean. $58 for over night parking is outrageous, because of that I will not stay here again. Also, $20 for wifi? For the price you're paying that should definitely be included. We had to ask twice for a crib to be sent up to the room, that was a little disappointing when I had two small children to get to bed upon arrival. Also would have been nice to have a mini fridge included in the room. When traveling with kids it's very convenient to have a fridge to store their milk, snacks, etc
I liked the overall appearance - the old world charm with today's amenities - great pool! the servic nothing
Location Bathrobes, slippers, and WATER included wow! Portable led lighted mirror. So convenient. Staff was really attentive to our needs and accommodating Very clean Booked a double bed superior room through AMOMA.com and they offered a king superior at the front desk. Definitely appreciated that. Spacious 2 ice vending machines on every floor Nothing.
Fantastic SF landmark...we never left the Hotel.
Nice to stay in a piece of history. Very convenient location for MUNI/BART. Rooms appointments very nice, beds great. Main lobby atrium is stunning. Well-trained, personable staff. Coffee/wifi in room would be nice, but that's unfortunately the nature of the beast (Hol Inn Express does that, not most upscale). I went with two hyperactive twin boys, and though not an ideal hotel for kids in most ways, the staff was very patient and accommodating with them. I'd say I wish it were a better value, but really next to what else what available in the area it was a better bang for the buck than most.
Decor, comfort and staff interactions. I did not sleep all night due to an event at the hotel where people were slamming doors and talking in the halls all night.
location near attraction false fire alarm at 12:30am
Loved the central location and the historical ambiance of the hotel.
Really cool amenities, close to everything you need.Room service was nice and really cool views. I didn't like that after driving two hours up to SF,having reserved my room almost a week in advance they informed me my room was not ready, then couldn't give me an answer as to why or how long it would take to clean.Luckily friends who were getting married in the city had their room so we stayed there and waited almost an hour and a half until they called me to tell me it was finally ready then didn't offer much to try and make the situation better
The kids especially loved the indoor pool and the staff in the pool area were extremely gracious and helpful.
The room was beautiful and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The location was convenient. We liked everything.
very good location and excellent pld decor Allows animals so we have dogs barking a couple of nights. Regular noice from the plumbing also disturbed us
The hotel is stunning and the staff is so nice. I loved the history and the elegance of the place. I liked everything.
Nice rooms. Polite staff. Nice bathrooms. Everything worked without an issue. At Reservation, called the 800 number. I was told they only had two suites available. No rooms. Two minutes later, I went on Kayak and booked two rooms with no issue. Service was in no way exceptional. It was a little irritating that bell desk couldn't get cab. Food/bar is terrible Surcharge for internet access is ludicrous
Very friendly staff, great service. The access to Equinox is fabulous! Prime, prime location--the best!! In-room dining is awful. I had breakfast twice, and was severely disappointed at the outrageous price for the poor, poor quality of every aspect of the food--coffee is burnt and thick like mud, toast burnt, side vegetables unbelievably expensive with NO quality. The fresh orange juice is good. And that's it. Otherwise, the hotel is just wonderful.
Amazing service and experience! We we're there for our honeymoon and loved every moment. The staff went out of there way to help us.
good fittings and decor
Service was excellent. Room service perfect. Bar outstanding. Concierge service spot on. Nothing
People extremely helpful room service wasn't up to par, maybe because it was Valentines weekend.
The room and hotel are beautiful. We had a beautiful view of the city and Yerba Buena Gardens. The service is impeccable. Very comfortable bed and quiet rooms.
Room was great. But we were placed next to the ice machine....the wall there sounded paper thin throughout the night as guest needed ice. Being stuck next to an ice machine at 2 am
Front desk personnel and bell service were exceptionally helpful. Rooms were nicely appointed - largest TV I've ever had in a hotel room. Central location right at Powell St. BART Station allowed me to get there quickly from Oakland Airport.
The staff was very friendly. The driver to the airport (George in the Towncar) was very courteous. Need a coffee maker in room. Not a deal breaker though of course.
The location of the hotel was excellent. There were many nice dining, shopping and entertainment options very close by. It is also very close to a BART station so getting there from the airport is very easy. San Francisco is a surprisingly easy city to drive in as well, though parking is very expensive. Though the bed was very comfortable, it was a bit squeaky. Also, being on Market street means that there is a bit of noise but it's not excessive.
Had a great time friendly staff great restaurant That nobody answered the phone at the restaurant for me to make a reservation fri night
The service at the San Francisco Palomar was excellent. The front desk staff and doormen deserve top marks. They were helpful in every circumstance from procuring a taxi to giving directions or making suggestions regarding nearby attractions and walking distances. The hotel was clean, the restaurant was superb....fantastic breakfast! And the wait staff was superior. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and look forward to that happening in the near future. Hats off to the Palomar staff!!!!!!!
Good arrival and wait staff were both friendly and efficient. The door man was great and the team inside were extremely helpful. I have stayed in other SF hotels in the past and Hotel Zelos is a nice addition to the city. City hotel rooms can sometimes be small but the rooms at Zelos are very spacious! I also would like to say thank you for an overall smooth and fun experience! From booking on line with Kayak to speaking directly with the hotel, to checking in & out, everyone was super friendly and consistently would go out of their way to be helpful. Mixed message on parking After speaking with associates on two separate occasions. Then the confusion in the garage, mind you I thought I lost my ticket to return however I unpacked it when I arrived back home this evening. There was a problem between the hand written sign in log from the valet and the printed report from the front desk and the hotel's portion of valet claim check system also did not work. I retrieved my vehicle because I brought the only two matching keys and I have matching handmade key chains attached. Breakfast table with two nice chairs rather than a rolling office chair. That was weird. But it was also SF PRIDE weekend so who cares!
The Palomar is in a great location, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are nicely decorated. Beds are OK. Restaurant (Bad Habit?) onsite had a nice quality breakfast which was pretty reasonable.
Close to everything in Union Square, clean and nice-looking inside. ...but that translates to a little over $300 a night, which isn't really worth it. Avoid it during the conventions in town.
The Palomar was clean, quiet and comfortable and in a great location. The woman working in the evening checking in guests needs more training. Either that or maybe she was having a bad night.
Windows face directly into office building just 10ft away. People in the office can see directly into your room
The location was great and my room was quiet. There was a bit of mildew odor in the bathroom. If not for that I would have given an excellent rating, instead of good, for my stay.
Great location. The staff were very very friendly. The ambience was hip. The room, although had no view was very well decorated and filled to the brim with mini bar treats. The price, although not cheap, was probably one of the better in the areas for a clean non-scary establishment. I would stay here again! $63 for parking!!! Youch! That's probably standard in the city. Your $300 a night room just went up to almost $400.
The view Carpet was very dirty, stained, there was not enough space in the room and pictures online were deceiving. The air conditioning was not working including the fan, the room felt warm even when the air conditioning showed a lower temperature. Very Noisy. Staff was not helpful when asked to move to a bigger room.
Being charged $60 to valet a car in unacceptable
Rooms have an awesome view of the city, very modern decor, and comfortable beds. I've only ever stayed here on business, but this is an impressive hotel with impressive rooms if you don't want to spend a thousand bucks a night at the Fairmont.
Liked the decor and comfort of the room Phones are not answered in time
Great centrally located property. Rooms were very zen, beds super comfy and lots of cool little details that made the stay pleasant. Staff was hit or miss. I get that they want to create a chic vibe but a smile wouldn't kill anyone. Did get the requested high floor room with some semblance of a view.... granted our flight arrived at 5pm on a holiday weekend makes sense why they couldn't accommodate that request.
I loved the staff! They were nice and very friendly! I also liked how we were able to communicate through texting and they replied very quickly. I asked for more conditioner for our stay, but we didn't get any extra. I also didn't like how there wasn't room for water or food in our fridge, but overall I loved this place! Definitely booking a room at the W in the future!
Very poor service. A fraudulent charge from the restaurant was added to my room charge. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they became very accusatory and combative. Very, very disappointing!
Great location, very helpful and accommodating staff. The room was a little on the small side for the price.
Nicely renovated, but clearly an old original building, in a good way. Room is small but comfortable. It's in the middle of downtown, so street noise is loud, but that goes for every hotel in the middle of the city.
All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Modern decor, well renovated. Outdoor park area was a nice touch. Room was small. Space was tight. Since it was just me, this wasn't a problem.
Loved the complimentary wine hour and friendly staff!
Galleria Park staff were friendly, welcoming, and accomodating. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable. The staff did get a little frazzled at the front desk with the large volume of guests for the weekend. There was only one HDMI cable available for the entire hotel and it was taken for the duration of my stay.
It is a good hotel in a good location. The price I paid was higher for the standard of the hotel. Staff
Quite, clean, comfortable. Charged sales tax for honor bar when we never used the honor bar.
Location was excellent, my room was clean and felt modern even though the rooms were obviously older.
The location was the only thing great about this hotel. Having to share a bathroom and restroom with the entire floor. The bathroom on my floor didn't work so I had to use another floor. No real breakfast offered and parking rates were too much. Parked one block away for half the price.
Great location near Downtown BART stations and Moscone Center. The room that I had this time had the sink located outside of the bathroom, near the bed and desk.
Location Price Staff No amenities Bathroom didn't have a fan; instead, had a window that opened onto an adjacent room's bathroom window Ceiling fan was haunted
I liked the location. I didn't like the bathroom/ shower located in the hall way that was basically too small to use. I barely fit on their bed in the original room. I upgraded to get my own bathroom and shower for $50 extra and this out me right over 4th street. Where it was so loud (even with both windows shut) and so bright from other lights (even with the blinds closed). The bed was as hard as a rock and oh yeah, let's not forget $49 a night to park your car at their hotel that you just spent $180 a night for and won't be able to sleep anyways.
It feels refreshing as soon as you walk in the room. Everything is clean and the beds are amazing. The only thing I can say is wish they had a little mini fridge in the room.
Overall cleanliness and facilities were good We told the concierge we were on vacation and wanted some ideas on how to spend our time in San Francisco and he told us to "go see a movie". No help at all
The location is really nice and the cleanliness were very good. The wall is very thin. The couples' voices who were staying next door were heard till late evening.
Rooms are small and efficient; be prepared. Bed was comfortable. Hall bathroom was difficult to enter; the door got in the way. I remember waking up to some noise around 6am, but perhaps that's unavoidable in this location?
Nice interior and nice rooms. Great coffee and free internet. I did not know that there is not a bathroom/shower in the suites, but rather down the hall. However, this isn't a big deal and I got a good value Shared toilet/shower
If you don't mind the shared bathrooms, The Mosser is a superb place to stay and it's right in the heart of San Francisco. Best of all, it's a great value especially for a European style hotel at a prime location! Very friendly staff and we felt very comfortable during our 5-night stay.
Inexpensive compared to the other options. There qas a fight for the shared bathroim in the middle of the night that woke me and it was noisy from the street outside.
Location across from Marriot and a bit cheaper Tiny tiny rooms and shard showers not bad at all but shard showers
The staff, location and facilities. Nothing
The staff was very accommodating for my elderly parent's needs.
It was a perfect location to see the Embarcadero and the ballgame...a good center for traveling around town. It was even a short walk to China Town, No breakfast menu...just buffet in the AM...too much food, too high of a price.
Good Location. Overall everything was alright. Nothing too wonderful, but nothing too critical. The lobby was fancy, but rooms werent wonderful. Not the friendliest staff. I found it strange that when I called for a bandaid, the front desk tried to sell one to me. I have been to other hotels, including Courtyard's, where they will just deliver something small like a bandaid to you if you need it. I even recall needing feminine products and they were sent to me. Considering the price of the hotel, and the parking ($59/night!), you would think a simple request like that would have been fulfilled.
Very friendly and attentive staff at all levels. They went above and beyond for some of our requests. Food at the onsite restaurant was delicious though a bit pricey. Location was a bit dirty with a lot of construction and older run down buildings around. Lots of noise from the major road behind hotel came through the closed windows as if they were open. Parking was over the top! $60/day!!
Great location, near water front, business district and tourism venues. Location was accessible via public transportation: Bart, CalTrain King At station approx mile or less away. In house Starbucks Coffee and restaurant. Utilized fitness facility, clean and mix of Dumbbells and aerobic equipment. Encountered negative experience with guests on our floor using Marijuana, hallway and elevator on or floor. It reaked of the odor during the Second day or our stay. A bit of loud partying on our floor as well. We notified the desk a few times (they offered to give us another room), but apparently they weren't able to locate the source. Disappointed that errant "Spring Breaker kids" ruined an otherwise pleasant experience. FYI we were traveling for leisure, and had our 8 he old son with us. Not the environment you'd want a child exposed to.
We were a group of five girls and this hotel stay was great! Room is spacious, beds comfy. No complains. Pool is small
Easy walk from the Bart after coming in from SFO. No uphil climb with cases like we had when we stayed in union square. The larger room allowed us to have all 3 kids in the room so no second room. The walk to union square took less than 5 minutes and easy walk to transport to get all over the city. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was really expensive. Kids would never have eaten $21 worth of food. There is a Starbucks in the lobby though and lots of breakfast places enroute to union square. The crepe food truck on the corner was delicious. Only other complaint would be that the shower pressure was low when other rooms were using. Why no pressure regulators Marriott?
First off, let me start by saying if it were just my husband and I the things that bothered me would not have been such a big deal. But travelling with small children changes things. The neighbors were so loud they woke my kids up multiple times. Security came and they did turn off music but continued to yell and keep on until 3am. The pool is tiny and not how it appears in pictures and because there is no one there and it is tucked out of the way from staff when another family showed up and their terror children wrecked shop there was no one there to help. Its $65 to overnight park your car, which is high even for the city. The breakfast buffet was $25 a person, even worse was the continental breakfast was $18 for bagels and coffee whichbis absurd. Just overall over priced for what you get.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating, very quiet rooms and I felt very comfortable using the facilities. The beds were very comfortable and we had ample space. Great stay overall.
The breakfast and the lobby were good The room and bathroom were not upto the mark for the price.
It's proximity to everything: shopping, restaurants, theatre, tansit systems, etc.
the staff was wonderful! very friendly and helpful
complimentary happy hour friendly staff great location A/C in the window
I liked the location of the hotel. The rooms were a little small for my taste.
We loved our stay at Hotel Triton. The staff was so nice and so helpful. The atmosphere was unique which we liked. Location was great and the room was clean and comforable. We participated in the wine tasting and that was such a nice touch. We would definately stay there again.
The room was comfortable, the staff was excellent. I relied on the staff multiple times during my stay and I have to say they were very accommodating, fast to respond which made this one of my more enjoyable business trips. I opened the window to get some fresh air but the noise of either air conditioners or a generator forced me to close it.
Great location; really helpful and efficient staff (knew local restaurants; efficient with parking; friendly); nice to have drinks in the lobby; our teens loved the decor.
The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I also loved the location and the fact that they are extremely pet-friendly. Small rooms, but expected for a downtown SF hotel.
The reception and lobby are very nicely decorated which makes you feel that you are in a boutique hotel and not another bland hotel chain. I liked the nice attention to detail in the room, nice photographs on the wall, design bedheads, Aveda products in the bathroom. The location is very central. They gave us a room with a view on a wall of brick and some construction rubbish lying on the floor, so that we kept the curtain closed all the time.
Great location Tinny rooms and tiny bathroom
The staff at The Triton is maybe the friendliest staff I've ever experienced; and I've stayed in hundreds of hotels. We were in San Francisco for a dear friend's funeral, and the second day we were there we found a very nice condolence card personally signed by the two people who run guest services. We were very touched to say the least. Some of the rooms can be small, but that's fairly common in San Francisco.
Close to shopping Room was dirty and very dated. The decor was tacky.
very central It was very loud. The room was to a little street were the garbage was storage. At 2 am came the garbage collection and make enormous noise.
nice staff no coffee maker
Price and central location Found it difficult to use the taps in the bath as they did not appear to be labelled as hot or cold
Excellent location. One of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. No frills, but you'll be comfortable and in a safe, clean, convenient location. Perfect if you don't plan on spending much time in your hotel room except to sleep.
Location comfort and cleanliness Norhing. Everything was ok.
Location No air conditioning
Excellent service from staff. Especially the help I received in attempting to locate my wallet which was left in a taxi by mistake!. Rooms serviced to high standard, I cannot complain Lack of breakfast, but I guess finding somewhere to serve breakfasts would be an issue
Simple room, with the basics and free wifi. No breakfast or fitness centre or anything. But service was great.
the frendliness and helpful staff at the front desk especially giving infomation about tours to fit in with a short stay.
Location, it was clean and staff was friendly. Elevator was down for a day.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Coffee available in lobby 24hrs. Central location. Beds comfortable - good mattress & pillows. Clean. I prefer hotels that offer fridge / coffee making facilities in the room - so would like to see the hotel offer this facility.
very nice staff, very helpful. Shuttle for the airport that you reserve the day before you leave. quite noisy from the street (very well isolated for noise)
great friendly staff and real close to city centre noise at night time, lack of heat in room
Room was very clean; staff were friendly and helpful
The room was surprisingly clean - compared to the condition of the rest of the hotel. Free wireless internet makes working easier. The location is perfect and in a great/not-scary part of town. The hotel, not the room, had a strange (not in a nice way) smell. There was no phone in the room.
This is a great place to stay in budget. The room was clean and has modern look. The location is fantastic. This is a place for tourist. I would totally stay here again. For what it was worth, the satisfaction of my stay far exceeds the price.
The hotel was basic, not many more facilities than you would expect in a hostel. It's in a very central location though so for that reason I'd recommend it.
The location was fantastic. Right near the Chinatown gate and an easy walk to Moscone. The area is much nicer/safer than Civic Center/Tenderloin. I also looked around with a flashlight when I arrived and confirmed that there were no bugs in the room. Shared bathroom. Old fashioned elevator with manual door. Paint was slopped on the walls and peeling in places. No way this is a 2-star hotel.
Central location - 3 minutes walk to Union Square. Friendly staff: the person at the reception took time to help me out and solved my problem, even if it was my mistake when I did the reservation and the hotel was full. Good value for the price. Breakfast is not offered, but this was not a problem at all because the place is surrounded by dozens of coffee shops and restaurants.
The room was secure and the staff was very polite and accommodating. WiFi worked surprisingly well for a small hotel. Location convenient to meetings at/around Moscone (about a 10 minute walk). The idea that each room has a sink and mirror then there are separate rooms for each the toilet and the shower is a little off-putting. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the lack of A/C meant having to leave the window cracked facing a street that was busy/loud 24 hours of the day. Don't plan on getting a good night's sleep without a little 'help.'
Nothing! This is not a hotel, this is a place to go if you are a backpacker and have very limited funds. The bathroom is down the hall, the sink is in the room, no phone is in the room so there is no way to communicate to the front desk, trash lined the hallway and if you are a woman traveling alone, I would not advise this place!I truly would advise saying that this is NOT a hotel but a HOSTEL
Terrible smell dirty bed no air conditioning comunity restrooms cant even watch tv bacause there was no signal and its pointing the wrong wall
Thge location of the hotel was unbeateable. The shower was completly wasted, I mean the spurt wasn´t strong enough, due to that I always had cold on the shower. Bad business! well and apart pf that maybe the location was too noisy because of disco that was just near my room.
The design of the room The staff were unprofessional at times
The second time in this hotel, friendly staff, good room and location The rooms don't have enough noise proof, it's noise in the street and internal moves.
Best hotel I have stayed at. Great room. Nice paintings. Friendly staff. Nexst door to Irish Bank, good pub and great food. small stairs, I would take the elevator.
Room, hallways, inner yard, elevator, location. Friendly staff. Living in a painting. No.
Our hotel was in a perfect location and it suited our needs very well. We were able to enjoy the city just by walking out the front door - Chinatown's gates were about ten steps away - and it was conveniently located near public transportation, both into the city from the airport and throughout the neighborhoods. The room was small, but very comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The walls of the room were somewhat thin, but when you have courteous neighbors that isn't a problem. Also, the hotel does not have air- conditioning, but the weather cools substantially in the evenings, so with the windows open you can be very comfortable.
Good location, friendly staff, newly-appointed a little basic but everything I needed Noise carried through too much from adjoining rooms. Breakfast a little basic
Good staff and good Quality service A bit noise in internal movement.
The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and the needs of our baby. They were all consistently polite and very friendly. Cool rooms too - really interesting decor, like an art gallery No. They were amazing.
Very artistic. easily can see other rooms through the window.
Nice to stay in a different type of hotel. The paintings on the walls and in bedrooms were brilliant. Very arty, but classy and good. Hotel staff were very obliging to all our requests, and dealt with everything efficiently and in a friendly manner
