Plus the flatbed lay out meant you were basically lying in a question mark position, not so goof for tall people like my husband. The food was good but uninteresting and I think for an overnight flight there should be more smaller,lighter, non spicy options offered rather that full dinners."

Excellent crew who were always willing to help with my fondness for a beer. Food was as expected and up to the standard of Singapore Airlines. All round it was a long trip made a lot easier......5 stars."

Given we could not even take water brought in the airport into the plane there needed to be regular distributions of fluids on the flight as there was on the flight from London toy Singapore. It is a long flight and being dehydrated on a plane is not a good thing."

Cons: "Boarding at Singapore airport was shocking, as we had to wait 6 hours for our flight. Rating low to the crew mainly because of the ground staff as they were not very communicative to begin with about the explanation for our delay. Only when the passengers got a bit more vocal about wanting explanations, they started giving us a bit more information. All estimated times given for boarding the flight were incorrect by a big margin! Seemed more like they were giving shorter wait time for boarding just to please the passengers, where as they were well aware of how long the wait would be."

All the employees with whom I dealt were excellent and customer-oriented. The planes between Doha and London were new, had more space than older planes and had an excellent selection of movies and TV shows. I ordered special meals on all the flights, and I was very satisfied. I have been a fan of Qatar Airways since I flew it to Australia in 2011. It continues to do a superb job, even in Economy."

I purchased a multi-trip and failed to used the ticket I purchased because I had to leave Qatar early since the person I was staying with was disorganized and flew out the country. I then purchased a different ticket with another airline because it was cheaper. Since I did that, they cancelled my whole trip. HOW? And I payed for a service I clearly didn't receive. As a result, stranded, I had to pay an additional $1,125 for a one way ticket home - more than my original round trip multi flight purchase."

No where in the world has an airline ever asked me for this, and I fly a fair bit. Since I didn't allow them to extort me, they forced me to throw away my brand new Delsey hand carry at the airport. I had no cover as they threatened to if load my luggage and not let me fly home. Not a 5 start airline from any angle. Will never use Qatar again!!! This was my first and last flight with them."

The entertainment system is older, so you lose leg-room in aisle seats, and there is less on offer. And because the flight was completely full, you do feel very restricted (not QR's fault, but a function of narrow seats)."

It took an hour of being ignored by various TA staff to eventually get my boarding pass to the next available flight to London. I nearly missed that one as well because of it. The staff in Turkey was rude and unhelpful and most didn’t understand English properly. There were a number of others having the same issues, it was an awful experience."

Welcome drink were promptly served but the food choice was still a big no-no. EVERYTHING CONSISTS OF DAIRY PRODUCT THAT I M ALLERGIC TO. When I brought this to the flight attendant's attention, none of them was apologetic and none of them tried to find out another solution to me, who was flying their airline the first time and didn't know the not-so-diverse food option."

Cons: "i had asked for an aisle seat and ended up on seat 7C which is the one that is next to the seat where the stewardess sits down. I wouldn't have minded at all but my seat and the one next to it didnt recline anywhere near as much as every other seat in the whole airplane. It was really uncomfortable for me and the person who was seating next to me. Hopefully this will be the last time i get stuck in that kind of seat."

The excursion departs at 12p.m. This flights arrives at 11.25 a.m., but the lines in immigration are stupidly long. We arrived at the counter at 12.15. In a very unfriendly way, they explained the excursion had left, and no possibilities for joining it in Town. So, we were stuck at the airport for several hours. How stupid is to offer an excursion to passengers in layover, but program a flight with 300 passengers to arrive just in time to miss the excursion? Somebody has to think this over. This excursion should leave at 12.30, and it would avoid dozens of passengers stuck and unhappy."

Cons: "This flight was pure misery. In the Istanbul airport flight gates are not announced until an hour before your fight. This would be fine if Turkish Airlines would also allow us access to our flight at that time. The gate had been announced and we had to wait for them to set up a security checkpoint before we could even sit at our gate. This security checkpoint was set up at a point where nearly everyone on the flight was waiting. This caused it to be a huge delay of people concerned about missing their flight. Little did they know that they had nothing to be concerned about because our flight would eventually be delayed two hours. We were eventually loaded onto our plane which apparently was having some technical issues despite just landing in Istanbul. There were people who had rode in on the plane that was eventually deemed unsafe to fly because of an error with the steering mechanism (which we were not even told what was going on until we boarded a second plane). While they determined this we sat on a hot, non air-conditioned plane full of screaming children. I understand why they were screaming and wanted to join in. We eventually had to deboard the plane and wait for them to secure us an alternate plane. They attempted to deliver the plane to the gate, but were unable to steer the first plane away from it, so we had to be transported by bus to the open tarmac. There was no order or organization as to how people were loaded on to either the bus or plane and it was pure and utter choas that delayed our flight even further. The plane we boarded did not have inflight entertainment so we sat on our four hour flight to London left to our own devices. When we arrived in London it was pat the point of public transportation trains running and I had to reroute to a bus. By the time I arrived at my flat it was 4 in the morning. Turkish Airlines has been the most chaotic, unprofessional, disorganized, and inefficient airline I have ever traveled on. My tale will continue with my return flights and how they lost my luggage and it hung out in Istanbul for a few days before being returned to me. I can not stress enough to others to never travel with this airline. The cheaper price is not worth it."

One my return flight to UK one cabin crew member decided in their wisdom to place said cane in the overhead bin. I advised her, I didn't like nor think this to be a good idea. Things move when taking off and my fair was if one wasn't aware the cane was there it may fall and injure someone. She insisted, and put the can into the overhead bin, and surprise, one of her fellow cabin members opened this b8n, and down came the cane on a passenger's head. For her injury, they offered her water and proceeded to hand the cane back to me. On flight TK 603 or TK 1983 we were assigned seats in economy row 20 A and b, well my son was seated in 20B, almost sliced his palm on the armrest, because the cover that should have been there wasn't, thus exposing jagged metal. I had to insist that we be moved and they should NEVER allow the cabin be loaded with such dangers visibly exposed. They didn't seem to show much concern, since the flight was full of "blacks"...! On our maiden flight on this airline, we had a 15+ hour layover. Couldn't get assistance from airport staff on simple questions such as where could one rest for the 15 hours, airport staff are busy riding around on automated wheel chairs, and when we asked them to assist an elderly lady who obviously could not walk the distance to her boarding gate in Istanbul, we were met with glares, or look of "they don't know English" or simply being miss directed, whilst my son carried this ladies heavy bag, including his own, and I on my walking stick, until we located the infraction desk, where a true gentleman, by the name of Mahmet came to our rescue, or more importantly took over the matter and assisted this lovely lady who was heading back to new york, to get her water for her medication, a chair to sit on until a wheelchair was brought to her. Honestly, in the many years that I've traveled, I've never seen or encountered a group of unprofessional, disrespectful and just downright prejudiced to visitors to their country! You couldn't pay me enough to visit Turkey or ever fly Turkish Airlines again in my life. So, so disappointed and disgusted by the whole experience it begs the question, how was this airline voted the 2nd best airline in Europe? You must have a very low ranking requirement, or my expectations are just too high for this airline, airport and the people I encountered."

I asked the Turkish airline representative at the gate if my bag is on the plane. He said "yes". When I arrived to London I couldn't fibd my bag. I spent more than an hour looking for it since the employee assured me it was loaded to the plane, the person who was waiting to pick me yo had to pay around 15£ parking and wait for one hour and a half. I arrived without luggage. I have everything in the bag, my umbrella, jacket, cloths, pajamas, underwater, everything... the allowance that Turkish Airlibe said they will give allowed me to only buy a Pajama. I am totally NOT satisfied. I will not travel on this Airlibe again"
