Pros: Alaska crew is so much better than the others. We will always fly with Alaska Airlines whenever possible!
Cons: Flight was cancelled due to crew issues
Cons: Some extra snacks
Cons: Agents at the gate doing the pre clearance for Hawaii were polite, helpful and patient. Kudos to them all!!
Pros: Crew was friendly and efficient. A plus
Cons: Having a pilot there on time. Having the yellow back support for the plane so we could exit the plane from the front.
Pros: Seats were comfortable. The food was very good. We pre-ordered a cheese plate and a wrap. A few weeks before our trip, Alaska Air changed the flight times, and we decided the connection time was too tight and so changed to a later connection. The agent we talked to about the change was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's a good airline, typically rated as the best or second-best of the US airlines. As far as we can tell, its high rating is accurate.
Cons: We originally had chosen our flight from Boston to Seattle to connect with our flight from Seattle to Sitka with an hour and ten minutes between them. However, Alaska Air changed the schedules of both flights, leaving only 45 minutes between flights. That is barely enough time to connect (the flights left from different terminals) if there are no delays. We thus had to change our plans not long before our departure to another flight to Sitka that left 5 hours later, forcing us to kill a lot of time in the boring Seatac airport. Apparently Alaska Air is notorious for changing its flight schedules. Travelers should keep that in mind when arranging flights and try to choose first flights that arrive soon enough that several alternative connecting flights are possible if Alaska Air changes the flight times.
Pros: Crew was great.
Cons: WiFi should be available in every flight. It was upsetting I couldn’t finish the movie I started on the flight over.
Pros: Nice and easy
Cons: Food and drink choices could have been better
Pros: Nice and easy
Cons: Food choices on the plane would have been good
Pros: Everyone was friendly
Cons: Twice we sat on the ramp waiting for a gate agent to open the gate (for more than 15 minutes). They cancelled my flight and rescheduled me on an earlier one then waiting for the gate on arrival meant that they were calling me on the PA to report to the next gate when we got off of the first plane. The wifi entertainment glitched out every time the flight crew made an announcement. There was no food on either flight and only four beverage choices on a 1 hour flight. The lines were crazy long at the ticket counter in PDX (where I went to try to sort out my cancelled flight). The text assistance first said wait 30-35 minutes and then, after 20 minutes or so said that it was going to close my chat due to inactivity (but no one had responded yet, of course there was no activity). Overall, it was a very lousy experience. Pre-pandemic Alaska was usually a pleasure to fly, post-pandemic Alaska was excruciating at every turn. Quite a disappointment.
Pros: Seat was less comfortable than most. Crew was annoying strict.
Cons: ladue leaving dallas. late arriving toseattle so gate was gone. had to sit on tarmac after landing.
Cons: More food/snacks and water
Pros: The comfort of the plane was great! Lots of room and very comfortable seating.
Cons: I found some members of staff to be a bit rude. When other passengers asked questions or did something wrong (that was a minor issue), one of the staff members in particular talked down to them and treated them like they were stupid.
Pros: When I find it, I will post it
Cons: The only thing served for a 5 hours flight, right at dinner time, was some kind of cracker which could almost break your tooth and a cup of juice. The landing at Nashville was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Baggage retrieval was very slow
Pros: Check in and flight had ample space. Very relaxing.
Pros: Alaska Airlines is the best.
Cons: Refundable tickets
Pros: Fast, efficient, comfortable.
Pros: The stuff was great, the flight was nice and smooth.
Cons: Grown crew at the counter
Pros: The flight wasn't full which is always nice and they served full size cans which is also a nice little note.
Cons: The plane was pretty old and people just started sitting wherever. It was chaos as my wife and I sat in our assigned seating and just watched people wander like animals.
Pros: Overall pleasant flight. Outstanding service by the entire Alaska Airlines crew. Captain of the flight was fenomanal, a very valued member of Alaska Airlines I have no doubts about that. Excellent service by all. Contentment and a relaxing, not to mention smooth, experience.
Cons: My bag was lost, but I think that was more of an American Airlines issue than a Alaska one.
Pros: Direct flight option
Cons: easier and quicker boarding and deboarding
Pros: Almost everything. Some highlights: Seat comfort and its design elements for smartphones and tablets, cleanliness overall, legroom, quality of service, timeliness, terminal/gate in LAX.
Cons: I’m nitpicking: the mid-cabin economy restroom is too small. Its rubbish bin was also full and had clearly not been emptied in LAX. There weren’t any sweet snack options.
Pros: Seat very comfy.
Cons: Wish I could have ordered the cheese plate (wasn’t an option).
Pros: Easy boarding. No issues.
Pros: Good chill crew
Cons: Flight was delayed 2 hours because of something in the laboratory and they didn’t tell us until 20 minutes after we were supposed to board. Crew did not care about the inconvenience one bit.
If you will be flying with Alaska Airlines, there are two classes for you to choose from in addition to standard Economy: Premium Class and First Class. Premium Class will offer you several perks, such as extra legroom, complimentary food and drinks, and pre-boarding. For a particularly luxurious trip, opt for First Class, a choice that includes a hot meal, free access to entertainment tablets, and the ability to check two bags for free.
To watch a movie or show during your flight, the airline offers a complimentary app that you can download onto your personal device before take-off in order to save any media that you would like to watch while in the air. During longer flights, travelers have the option of renting a tablet directly from one of the stewards, each of which is equipped with a selection of films, games, podcasts, and access to Wi-Fi. Additionally, you are allowed to use certain messaging applications for free on your cell phone without having to pay for the plane’s Internet.
Although Alaska Airlines flies to over 100 destinations throughout the world, the company’s primary hub can be found in Anchorage, Alaska.
Alaska Airlines has over 6 different planes in its fleet, with a majority of them being either Airbus or Boeing. While the Boeing 737-900ER is known for being able to fit the most passengers and for having the largest First Class area in comparison to the company’s other planes, the Airbus A320-214 can travel the furthest and is commonly used for the airline’s longer flights.
