The room had a mildew smell
Great location, although it is dominated by convention attendees. Very pricy, but the mall is close. Apparently the official policy of the Hotel is that if you are in your room when the maid comes by, you don't get your room serviced that day. That can happen as early as 10AM. The maid leaves a little card that requires you to call Housekeeping to get some service, maybe. The maid does not recheck your room, even though they are on the floor for several additional hours. I have never seen a policy like that before.
Every aspect of the hotel's design seemed well thought out. The room was on the smaller side but so well designed, laid out, and furnished that it wasn't cramped and seemed perfectly sized. It was impeccably clean and comfortable, and the availability of good coffee and pastries in the morning from the lobbying was a well appreciated touch. No concerns or changes to suggest
Clean and good location. Small, dark room. Unimpressive. Limited outlets. Small window with view of a brick tunnel and beer can. Nothing redeeming. Definitely not with >$200 to stay here. Got a hotel 2 blocks down for half price and much nicer for the remainder of our stay. Did not investigate amenities.
It was clean, comfortable, and the staff members were very kind and helpful.
When we arrived door service was great but the front desk lady was very disrespectful. We arrived a couple hours early before our original check in time at 3 and it seemed like she was bothered by a previous incident. No eye contact and we could barely hear her speak because she spoke so low. The overall stay was mediocre, the last night fire alarms continued to go off through out the night making it extremely hard to get a good rest.
This was a great hotel and a great value! I enjoyed my stay in the staff did a nice job cleaning the room each morning. The room was very well-equipped and the hotel had a nice lobby, great bar, pool and fitness center. My room even had windows on two sides giving me great views and a feeling of openness. Only low ceiling heights, a tight. Anthropomorphic and carpet as opposed to wood floors keep this hotel from being one of the very best. It has a great boutique feel and killer location near downtown and the French quarter. Low ceiling heights, a tight bathroom and carpet in the room as opposed to wood flooring. These are small comments. The hotel was great!
Nice interiors and free bottled water. They have good beds though, that was a plus. Very poor facilities, in this day and age, no free wifi is just not OK, its a dealbreaker. Its not like they are not charging enough for the room, plus wifi does not cost a lot anyways! And whats with the $45 valet per night? Do they wash your car and paint it?? We thought it was fleecing as they knew that parking is an issue around that neighborhood. Overall just OK place, not worth the effort to stay here.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and very accessible to excellent restaurants. The staff was also very accommodating and professional. I will certainly stay here again when we come to visit my daughter.t The ice machine was not working on our floor nor the floor below. Neither was the drink machine.
Clean lobby. Room came with only 2 towels even though we indicated that we would have four people in the room. We had to ask sever times for towels. When we arrived at the room, there was trash in the waste baskets from a previous guest. On the day of our departure, housekeeping rang the doorbell at 8 am to see if we were checking out. The concierge had very few suggestions for rainy day activities.
Outstanding staff. Good location near French Quarter. Good view. Comfortable room.
Not much A/ c didn't work had to sweat all night an the price we paid was a rip off
Spacious suites. High parking fee.
The hotel was under construction, over priced for the amenities, they ran out and of drinking water. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Rooms were spacious and we enjoyed happy hour and breakfast.
Place was average, breakfast was dismal Parking garage was $48 a day. There is no other parking available other than street parking that is $35 a day.
The staff were very accommodating. The room was very nice . Very clean and modern. Close to everything. We could not have stayed at a better hotel. Everything
Proximity to convention center More variety at the resturant and room service.
Nice lobby, friendly staff, clean room, requires a key to get into the lobby at night. Easy checkout. Vallet appeared to be the only parking option and it was $44 which was about half the price of the room. I hate hidden fees at hotels. The blanket on the bed was too warm for how the air conditioner cooled.
Price Friendliness of staff and bed
Liked the location, breakfast and comfortable bed!
Nothing and will never stay again service. i will never stay again the worst hotel i have ever stayed at in my life,,,,,,,
My husband,3 young kids and I spent the weekend here to do some fun Christmas activities over the weekend. Excellent location across the street from convention center and Riverwalk, near Fulton street and French Quarter. Staff was excellent, room was very nice and located in a very safe area of New Orleans. We'll definitely be staying at the Mariott again!
Staff was very accommodating, the hotel was clean and excellent condition The pillows were feather pillow which was very uncomfortable, when I asked for foam pillows they were out, I guess other guest wanted foam pillows. WiFi was expensive I don't understand when you check into a cheaper hotel it is free, now days WiFi is just as used as TV and they don't charge for that.
