Cons: The rooms are REALLY small but it's a historic hotel in the middle of the city so understandable. Valet parking overnight was $45 for guests, which is a lot in my opinion. I am already paying over $200 for the room and did not expect to tack on another $50.

Cons: The pool had debris in the pool. It was also very cold and we were told it would be heated. Thr 60.00 a day fee for parking, and room service was a complete a suprise. I was under the assumption that I could pay directly for parking....however, the hotel put a hold on my debit card for services I didn't use...for example, room service. It will take 3-5 business days to receive my refund. That caught me off guard and caused my finances to be tight for a few days until I could move money around at my bank. I wish I had been aware of these charges.

Pros: The Hotel Monteleone is an outstanding property. We were pleasantly surprised with our King room. It was small, but very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hotel bar is one of its trademarks. We enjoyed the carousel and the intimacy that it brings, all the while being able to chat with some of the other patrons. I had a 30 minute massage at the Spa Aria. The masseuse (Ellen) was excellent and very knowledgeable. The spa lobby was a bit overly crammed with merchandise for sale, but smelled great and had good attention at their front desk.
Cons: The concierge was not helpful to a guest, shrugging his shoulders and telling him he needed to get back in line for the front desk. It seemed to is like he could've assisted.

Also why would you close a pool bar at 7 when there are people wanting to buy alcohol and food. If guests are there you should stay open for them. And our air conditioner kept breaking.

Pros: Friendly doormen, bellman, front desk. Love the gracious old hotel. Criollo's Restaurant had excellent food and service. One could not ask for a better location as a base of operations for leisurely tour of French Quarter.
Cons: While I don't think most rooms fit this category, we happened to get a very small room with window looking across a dark alley. Room could not have been more than 12' square, with king and furniture closet, one could not help but feel a bit claustrophobic. Be sure to ask for room with street facing widows. Housekeeping kept forgetting essentials - like TP. Had to call to request and then wait 15 min for delivery. Otherwise, excellent experience.

Pros: Very helpful. Location right in the heart of the French Quarter yet close enough to Canal and one block off Bourbon so it wasn't so loud all the time. Food amenities everything A+ Hotel Service was perfect.
Cons: The only downside is a plus side for some. The location is in the French Quarter so it is always busy and a bit loud day and night. But the rooms are quiet and calming. It is what you would expect for the Quarter and nothing short of an ideal blend of value service location and luxury.

Pros: We have always wanted to stay at the Hotel Monteleone. Since we were traveling to New Orleans with friends from Ohio who have never been to the south, we decided to splurge. The experience and treatment we received during our stay was far above my expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted and assisted by the valet, doorman, and bellman. While speaking to the man during check in, my husband asked if a king upgrade was available. He then moved us to a king room complimentary. Our room was so nice with custom items making the stay extra special. We wanted dinner suggestions and some tour suggestions. The concierge, Anita, was great! She was very patient and knowledgeable of the area. She could tailor her suggestions to your specific requests. She was very great with multi-tasking and never once made us feel rushed on a decision. When one of the tours we wanted to book was sold out, she called 3 other vendors until she found an opening. The staff at Hotel Monteleone are all very friendly and speak everytime they see you. Even a lady from housekeeping stopped to ask how we were enjoying our stay. The location is central to EVERYTHING. When in New Orleans, we typically walk 8-10 miles per day, but Hotel Monteleone is so close we averaged 4-5 miles. This hotel is definitely worth the price.
Cons: I really have no complaints about my stay. The only thing to note are the small bathrooms, but this is standard in New Orleans.

The reservations specialist, front desk, and concierge all went out of their way, hands down, to give us top of the line experiences. Which included booking last minute reservations at best restaurants!!! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the French Quarter!!

Pros: The hotel and staff are beautiful and amazing. But when we got to our room it was fairly warm. We called down to the concierge and asked that someone come look into the issue. We left for the afternoon and when we returned there was a note sarying someone had come to fix the problem. Two additional requests later and it was still around 80 in our room. Staff didn't even call to see if we were satisfied (after 3 requests). Difficult to sleep and not enjoyable.

Pros: Hotel Monteleone is a beautiful historic hotel in the French Quarter and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and the rooftop pool was a nice perk!

Cons: It was a rough start from check-in: - The designated room on our paperwork (King) was not available at check-in, leaving us a couple in two beds - Upon getting to the room, there was toilet paper and urine in the toilet. - There was makeup all over the collar of the bathrobe (being billed as "take it home for $120") - They were able to move us the next night to a king room, which we found out during the middle of the night did not have a working heater (35 degrees outside at this point). So we moved to our third room of the trip that second night. I'll echo the same concerns with customer service that I see in other reviews here. It's a pity because the property itself is well situated and in good company with the likes of the Ritz and Roosevelt. But it failed to meet any standards for cleanliness and overall guest experience.

Pros: I normally stay at the well known 4 & 5 star hotels so I really stepped out of the box for this trip. The hotel was great we had a corner room facing Canal St. The beds were comfy and we had restful nights. We enjoyed the amenities and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Kotrell set us up with two amazing and very different tours. He also remembered us and always greeted us with a large smile and interest in our day. The rest of the staff was just as nice. From the front desk to the room service staff and housekeeping. I would definitely stay again if I have the chance to travel to New Orleans again.

Pros: Angel or devil. Your choice. It's the theme of the hotel. Besides impeccable service the theme carries throughout the hotel. You'll see it as soon as you enter the lobby. Enter an elevator and with a big screen TV the adventure continues. We had a standard room the first two nights but their standard is far above that in decor. Our next 3 nights were in one of their Angel Suites. If you think the standard room was great wait till you see an angel suite. Their named after arch angels. Its indescribable in luxury and the style and theme continues. They do have the devils suite named after Lucifer. It's the only one decorated in black and red. I dont want to give away more. See and experience it for yourself.
Cons: We couldn't stay and enjoy it longer. But we'll be back to NOLA (New Orleans LouisiAna and surely stay there again.

Pros: We stayed here because of the price and location. It seemed to be the best of both worlds and it definitely was! Easy walk to all French Quarter locations. The lobby is gorgeous, as were the rooms. Fun bar in the lobby, too, with live music in the evenings. We were a group of 4 couples and we all loved it. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
Cons: Location on Canal St is not my favorite (busy, a bit dirty), but you only have to walk 3 blocks to be in the heart of the French quarter.

The overall theme of the hotel is seen throughout the lobby and common areas, ‘Saint’ white angelic areas and red/black ‘Sinner or Naughty’ areas! Rom was nice and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was super cute and modern and spotless. AC was COLD. Didn’t need the mini-fridge or mini-bar, we were in NOLA ! Everything is close by!
Cons: If you need to keep something cold, the fridge is full of purchasable items, so either feet them to bring something up or bring ice chest /cooler with you. (This did not effect my stay)

Cons: The only two negotive things I have to say would be. 1) the breakfast buffet wasn't worth the $21. It's the same mass produced powdered egg bacon pancakes....that you get at crapy hotels for free. There is a omlet station and a big selection of pastries and fruit but I'm a eggs an bacon guy and it was horiable. The second negative I have is dependent. I stayed there for Mardi Gras and they shut down a lot of streets, so you have to walk because the taxis won't and can't take you down town. and its a long walk to Burbon street. It is located right next to the stadium if that's where you are going.

Pros: Beautiful, totally updated and high tech. Not overly luxurious but nice and super comfy rooms. Great gym facility and pool looked nice but we didn't venture down there. Can get busy with conferences and hear it's busy during football home games. Decent location if you don't mind walking. Street car stops right outside hotel which is mostly convenient unless it's running late or comes early. If it's busy (people buying tix, traffic) it can take a while longer than anticipated to get to your destination. We walked back from the French Quarter a few times...not a bad walk, probably around a mile. The location was fine for us but may not be for everyone. For the great rate we got for the amenities, the trade offs were worth it. All staff members were super nice, super accommodating and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs.

Pros: It was a very nice hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Allowed us to check in at 9 am and out at 1 pm. So convenient.
Cons: Prices were high. And our room was located near the service elevators which made a constant rumble noise 24/7. Had we been staying more than a night, we definitely would have asked to switch rooms. Instead, we asked for earplugs. Had we asked, I'm sure the front desk would have accommodated our request, they were very helpful.

The room itself was nice and large and came equipped with a coffee maker and small fridge. Bathroom could use some updating (tub/shower) but was certainly adequate with decent amount of counter space. We didn't eat in the onsite restaurant, but did have cocktails and snacks at the bar. Great time there with drinks made to order and delicious small plates to share. The bar staff were friendly, served impeccable drinks and couldn't have been more accommodating. Hotel also has a Starbucks inside with full service and selection as you would find in an offsite Starbucks store. Loved our stay at the Marriott on Canal Street and can't wait to return!!

Pros: I liked the location and its access to the French Quarter. The hotel was very crowded as it was the start of Mardi Gras so the lounge in the lobby was very busy and sometimes it was sometimes hard to find a seat there but fund anyway. Elevators were prompt and staff very polite and helpful.

It was a brief stay and what created the lasting impression was when we were departing the hotel a bellman made sure to tell us Good Morning, how nice is was to have us, and to have a wonderful day. We could have made it out the door without him saying much but he made sure to tell us these things with conviction and we felt that it wasn't just lip service. Nice job folks, from check in to check out. We'll be back.

There were notes put under the door to ask you to avoid the elevator between 8 & 12 on Sunday there were going to be a lot of people checking out. Helpful but I felt they should've been done. Our toilet would make this loud screaming noise about 4 or 5 times in three middle of the night. They did have somebody come up & check on it, but it did it again the next night. I didn't know if they're connected but when I got my car from the valet there was a huge hand print on my windshield & shoe prints on my hood.

Cons: Intercontinental is supposed to be IHG's flagship hotel. During my stay I killed three spiders in the bed. The duvet cover was torn and tattered in multiple places. The carpets were not vacuumed. Someone else's dry-cleaning tags were left on the floor (2). The drinking glass in the bathroom had dried toothpaste stains from someone previously before me. For three days in a row I turned the same drinking glass up thinking that it would be washed and would return to my hotel room to find that it had just been flipped over, uncleaned. The best yet was the last night that I stayed the cleaning staff had left a dust in my room by the door. I guess since they werent cleaning they decided to leave the tools for me do their work. The front desk staff seemed unconcerned about the cleanliness and too busy to give it much thought. Valet also higher than any other hotel in area. Will go back to the Holiday Inn Chateau LeMoyne north of the quarter, always clean in 5+ stays there.

Pros: My girlfriend and I went there for Mardi Gras, and it was ideally located - near all of the parades, but far away from the French Quarter that we didn't get a bunch of drunk idiots yelling (although it still sometime happened, which is not the hotel's fault). That being said, it is within 5 minutes walking distance of the middle of the French Quarter. The room was small but very nice (the building is 100 years old). It was also very clean and the staff was overall friendly. For Mardi Gras they give you a wrist band so you can come into the hotel late at night (although they were a bit spotty on checking). Overall, a good place to stay (if you don't mind driving through the one-way streets of downtown New Orleans). You could do a lot worse, especially for Mardi Gras. 4/5 stars.

This seemed a bit unreasonable to me, and it would've been nice if the hotel had let us know beforehand. The continental breakfast is a hotel continental breakfast - mediocre. They had two waffle makers, cereal, biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs one day and scrambled eggs the next, and the typically assortment of OJ, Apple Juice, pastries, bagels, tea, coffee, etc. We were told it opened at 5 AM, but found that it was closer to 7AM. Very annoying if you want to wake up early or needed to leave early.

We were right on the edge of Bourbon St. and Canal St., but also close to the Superdome where we attended the US Women's' soccer game! We were able to check in an hour early and when we were leaving the doormen called for us a cab. Very nice experience and would stay again in the future! Definitely take a cab to/from hotel! It was a $36 flat rate and well worth it because they pick you up and drop you off exactly where you need.

Cons: The room was lacking basic items like bath towels, coffee cups. We were “upgraded” to a suite which had a queen spring with a twin mattress with the springs sticking out so we were unable to use this for our kids but still had to pay the upgrade price. Therefore the “upgrade” did not provide us with any additional sleeping space. The room door key did not work because they had to charge the lock. The concierge desk was impossible to reach to get towels, sheets, ect. It would just ring and go to voicemail. We tried to order food from the in house restaurant and they directed us to their in room menu which did not exist. Our room was two levels with an exit door on each level. I asked if they could deliver our sheets to the second level because we may not hear the knock on the first level and they said they were unable to go to the second level, even though this is a normal hotel floor with a normal hallway door entry so I was confused by this. Many of these issues are likely because they are short staffed with COVID-19 and hopefully will be improved.

Cons: I booked a room more than 6 months in advance. After I booked, I called the hotel directly because I needed a roll away bed. They said no problem, because I had booked an oversized room. Then, about a month prior to my trip I called them directly again to ensure that I would have a roll away bed. The person that I spoke to said that they would put a note in my account - which they did. When I got to the hotel to check in I was told that they did NOT have a roll away bed available because it’s a “first come first serve” basis. I had 5 people in a room with 2 beds, and no where to put that 5th person!! So we paid $566 PER NIGHT for someone to sleep on the floor because nobody told me either time that I called that they could not guarantee a roll away bed!!! I will be contacting corporate about this.

Cons: Everything has a huge fee associated with it, the valets were unfriendly and purposely gave us bad directions because we used self Park, our room felt like a motel six, the bed didn't have a comforter, when I called they acted unconcerned and sent up a thin scratchy blanket. The tv signal was terrible, the remote was from the 1990's, it literally took 4 seconds to change from one channel to the next. all of the appliances were unplugged. We were scheduled for 3 nights but we cancelled the last two and switched to a bnb in uptown. MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE. The same price when you add up all the extras the Hilton tries to gouge you on.

Prepaid over $600 for 2 night, wherein other conference attendees paid half the amount. 18th Floor, low water pressure. Mattress extremely hard. Weather was bad, so the hotel was convenient to access the Convention Center. This hotel deal was no deal at all for me. Seriously punitive foe me, though trying to take care of lodging way in advance. Over $600 for a single bed, 2 nights for a Regional Conference? Never again!

Pros: We arrived at the hotel just before midnight on St Patrick's day. The area was still very much lively with St Patty's festivities. This gave us a chance to quickly check in (with friendly and helpful staff!!), drop off our bags and check out Bourbon St, which was the cross street of the intersection where the hotel is located. Bourbon St is what it is, but the hotel's prime location made it really easy to explore part of the French Quarter in the wee hours of the night feeling safe walking around.

The room did not have a fridge which made keeping any leftovers not an option. They charged an exorbitant amount of money for overnight parking.
