Nothing really. Everything. I know it is not an expensive hotel, but that doesn't mean I have to be up all night because of the noise of other so called guests partying until 5 am. We called the front desk but they couldn't do anything about it. We felt really scared with drunk people shouting outside our room. The shower handle was so rusted I couldn't turn it. And then there was breakfast.....well at least they had coffee.....
The Customer service was great Location wasn't great but we managed
The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was nice. The rooms were cleaned regularly.
Everything was satisfactory Parking was a little tough at night. Really busy
Cheap Easy Too far from the airport Has smoking rooms available
The location was great! It was about 10 mins from the French Quaters & right @ the interstate! Very clean!
Very, very clean. Super nice, helpful staff. Good breakfast. Safe. Covered parking. 6 minutes to French Quarter. Quiet. The price. There is not one thing I didn't like. I have already booked my room for my anniversary in May to stay here again on our return to New Orleans.
the staff were very helpful giving us maps of the area, and showing how to get there, the rooms were also very clean.
Room was clean and quiet. The hotel looked nice from the outside and the lobby also looked good and it was decorated for Halloween which was a very nice touch. The staff at the desk were very nice. The sink drain was slow - needs some Draino. Aside from that everything was great.
Friendly staff A little bit dirty, not enough to not stay though
Clean but location is a bit shady. My kids exclamated that they say real life prostitutes. There was a graffiti abandoned building next to hotel. Motel 8 does have a gated entrance and security.
Good breakfast Bathroom very small and the location
Solid building structure, no noise from neighbors, excellent airconditioning, large room, good beds, with seemingly new firm mattresses, helpful and prompt desk staff,... remarkable good for the low price. Missing cups and a coffee maker.
The room was very clean & comfortable. The staff was extremely courteous & the housekeeping was very attentive. I will absolutely stay here when I visit in the future. The location was perfect-- just 5 minutes from the French Quarter-- & it was great for rest as there were no obnoxiously loud people partying. The parking is gated & they have a person at night watching the parking lot. I have no complaints!
Clean room, perfect bathroom, incredible value. Bad location for families. The main street one block away has a reputation for prostitution.
Had only a positive stay!!! No spa, & no pool as was listed on booking.com
Wow, this hotel was terrible. I arrived at night time and had to stand out in the cold to sign the room paperwork. First time having to do this for a hotel. Must be a sign of how shady the area is. The hallway carpet was very stained and gave off a dingy smell. The room seemed clean and had fake wood floors (definitely a plus over stained grimy carpet) but the desk chair had some scary stains. I had to move a low table over to sit on to work on my laptop. The bed didn't seem too bad until I woke up in the morning with my face planted in a spot that was very nasty smelling. I moved to another motel after this horrible experience.
Our room was directly adjacent to the interstate and we could not sleep because of the noise. Check-in was through a cage which I found disturbing and made me feel unsafe. We only booked at this motel because it was recommended to us. We will never go back and in fact will be the big joke of all our accommodations in our many travels.
Staff was not friendly or helpful. We stood at the counter to check in for 25 minutes before we were helped becuase the clerk talked to what appeared to be her friends in the lobby and also on the phone. I paid for WiFi internet access and it did not work at all, was on the phone for 55 minutes with hotel tech support and the problem was still not resolved. Other guests were complaining of internet problems also. I just looked at my online banking and see that the hotel charged me twice now I have to spend more of my time trying to get this mess figured out.
Got everything that I expected for the amount I paid. Quiet, comfortable place to sleep. Wasn't super clean, but that didnt bother me! Towels seemed dirty and you had to pay for internet.
Quiet. Security very visible. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Accommodating to my disability needs.
a complete dump
Nothing. The tv was older than I am. And the room smelled like mold. There wasn't even a fitted sheet on the bed.
The Hotel canceld my reservation without notifying me of this leaving my girlfriend and I without a place to stay in New Orleans at 11:30 at night. I am unaware of if this is the hotels fault or Kayaks fault but I will not be staying or useing either.
Room was clean One of the rooms was 2 hrs late on check in and they didn't have towels available !!!! No towels are u kidding me and a rude staff
In the middle of the night alarms kept going off keeping us awake, then the water shut off and was making terrible noises. The water eventually turned on but it was still a nuisance. the bathroom was super dirty and they didnt even supply little soaps. which most people dont care about, but we had forgotten our shampoo. We ended up staying up most the night waiting for more alarms to go off or something else terrible to happen.
They had roaches on the floor when I arrived dirty linen was on the bed in a pillow case. The bed was never made the covers was in the little closet, no towels in the room. I told the night lady about the problem & when I got back they switched my room without notifying me so when I tried to get into my original room someone else was there.
- only 10 minutes by car from French quarter - bus station near (30 minutes to French Quarter) - the boss/owner was extremely unfriendly (there were like 5-6 situations where he just snapped at us "Maaaaam my office is closed!" or "Maaaam this isnt a 24h reservation" etc. really extremely unfriendly, and we really didn't ask for anything special. (he was friendly to our male friends though so you might be fine if you're a guy ..) - Breakfast: Coffee (coffee only isn't breakfast, although it said online that breakfast was included) - apparently in a bad area (taxi driver said so), I wouldn't walk around when it's dark - for those with a car it's ok I guess but wouldn't stay more than 1-2 days it's really not a nice hotel
Friendly and attentive staff and a great value. Too far from the quarter and in a sketchy part of the city.
Nothing! Smelly and dirty! The condition of the lobby, the elevator, the hall and the room, all were smelly and DIRTY!
Nothing. Checked in at 10:30pm run away for my life at 11:30 pm The place is terribele maintained. The population of pepole there is like troubled neighborhood. Just like where the hotel is located. Felt like im in harlem. For the 1 hour that i was trying to sleep 3 times some one was knocking on my door. Had no idea who it was and what they want. I was so affraid took my things and leave
Staff were nice and helpful Hotel was too far out to get a cab to take us downtown. Rooms looked and smelled newly renovated but the elevator looked like a death trap
I had a horrible experience here. I had to switch rooms 3 times because I got bit by bed bugs all over my body & after I showed them, pictures & bites they refused to believe that there were bed bugs! Like, what more do you want to see? & not only that but there were tiny little bugs all over the sink that got into my things. Don't sleep there it's dirty!!!
Nothing particularly. Stains all over the walls and curtains, bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the elevator looked as though it was literally falling apart.
We liked everything except the shaking of the elevator, kids was a little scared Everything was ok
Price was good. Nice staff. Breakfast wasn't great and it's not located super near downtown.
Staff was helpful, place was clean. Very limited continental breakfast, someone smoked in the elevator.
Price was cheap
Nothing The hotel would not let me cancel my stay. There was so much traffic that I couldn't make it to my hotel and the hotel told me the hotel was non-refundable. I did not see "non-refundable" on my itinerary. I feel like I was robbed of almost $500 for a hotel I did not stay in.
We loved how the staff was willing and eager to do what ever was needed to make anything wrong right. This was all go the staff, from the maintenance guy come to the front desk clerk, the manager, and the night manager, out of the way to make us feel comfortable and meet our needs They have two sections of the hotel. The normal side was over sold and they had to charge us to the week to week side that was not as nice as the nightly side. The key did not work. (Manager had to let us in to the room each time) the room did not have two sheets. (Had to ask for them) Room felt dirty/disgusting. Felt like a meth hotel. But we were very happy with service. (Pool not working also)
none I've never commented BEFORE,,,No pillow cases (covers) if u flushed the bowl ,it would leak...drapes were not hooked to the rod ...heater didn't heat...towels had black stains on them...2 stars is a joke, they mix no-smokers rooms ..The worst hotel ever...worth no stars .I LEFT A DAY EARLY. AND SHOULD BE COMPENSATED..
Nothing they over booked on purpose knowing it was jazz fest turned us away cused us AND then told us they would call n.o.p.d if WE didnt leave EVERY thing
Asked for nonsmoking room yet it smelled like someone had been smoking no towels were available the pool wasn't working the beds were hard. Needs alot of work starting from the front desk to the rooms
The bathroom shower head had multiple settings, which isn't often found at hotels. The bathroom and linens were clean. The bed was comfortable and the a.c. was nice and cold. The area was quiet. They offered free breakfast, but we made other plans. The neighborhood was kind of scary. The entrance was next to an almost abandoned looking store. The room needed a deep cleaning where someone scrubbed the doors and walls. The doors and walls were white so dirty shows up pretty easily I'm sure, so I don't know how the cleaning staff misses these areas when cleaning the room. The facility needs to be updated, especially in the reception area.
Very dirty rooms. Hado to switch rooms due to ac leaking water in the room and not working properly. I definitely won't stay here again!
Friendliness of the staff N/A
The way we were treated, upon arrival, when asked "did we have reservations"? The hotel's reservation dept. had never received anything from Booking.Com and showed me the reservation computer screen as verification. But she really was great for making up for the omission. At check-in, not having a room reservation, albeit, I really had made one thru Booking.Com.
the bed was comfortable That I had a smoking room but no ashtray, I even called down to customer service and she said she would try to find one for us and never heard backl from her. There was a dead bug in the bath tub, plus it would be nice to have more than one small trash can in a room.
The room had a filthy carpet with stains that was with GOD knows what. We will not book with a Quality Inn & Suites again. The only GOOD about our stay was the staff were very nice.
This experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The location was awful, there were shady people right around the corner of the hotel. There were a few things broken when we first went to the room, but the maintenance guy was helpful. Someone was playing loud music at night.
we were to stay 3 nights only stayed 1 everything
Our stay here was last minute.... The rooms were immaculate as far as clean was concerned, the service was fair, and we had a quiet stay. ... though we did have some initial issues with Booking.com as my reservation confirmation didnt come in till two days after we stayed but other than that.... It was quite pleasant. My reservation on booking.com did not come through till two days after I had made it....however the girl at the desk was kind enough to accept my login onto the booking.com site as proof...
Nothing People were loud screaming all hours of the night, horns blowing all night. Music blasting, people loitering in front of the rooms. No sense of security. Neighborhood was scary at best, needed to be armed to go get a coffee. Extremely bad experience please don't let photos fool you, I'm pretty low maintenance this was by far the worst place I've ever stayed. Oh the sink in the bathroom could literally be pulled up off the base, ridiculous. Dead bugs in the tub, ect...
the staff was really helpful and friendly. we were only 8 miles from the superdome and the room was definetly worth the price.
It was cheap and easy to get a room. It was gated. It seemed to be in a unsafe part of town. There was a homeless man standing by the entrance gate the entire time. The room was absolutely horrific. As soon as we walked in I was over powered by the smell of smoke. I watched a drug deal go down. Other guests were absolutely horrible. Extremely loud at 6 AM. 3 of the lights DIDN'T work. After already checking in at around 7:30, The front office called me at around 11:30 - 12 to ask if I planned to check in that night.
It was ok place to stay. Gas station right beside. The staff wasn't all that friendly, and the rooms lights, televisions, and when you call the office from room phone they don't answer.
The worst hotel I've ever stayed..... I couldnt even stay for the 2 days that was booked.... Pimps & hoes every where... Very disgusting room (that's clearly rented by the hour) .... Very bad part of town EVERYTHING.......
