Cons: When we booked we requested single beds as we were a party on mother daughter and two sons. When we arrived there we were in double beds which was disappointing. The beds were large and comfortable however so it was ok. The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. I expected a big variety it was at best a 4 star standard. That was the main reason I booked it so my sons could get a good start to the day. I would not go back there for that though. The hotel restaurant was very expensive and as we didn’t arrive til 9 pm we had to go out and look for a restaurant. There were very few restaurants in the area and all were closed so we had to eat in McDonald’s which was very disappointing. However in general the location was really good. Pros: Gorgeous decor and incredibly friendly and helpful staff - they were so good to us! We arrived well before the check in time started and they were still able to get us settled in to our room within minutes.
Cons: For some reason, we were put in a room with two single beds? But honestly, we were so jet lagged it didn't really matter. The beds were VERY comfortable as well.

Pros: Chose Hotel Zoo for a business conference, with attendees arriving from different parts of the world. The hotel experience exceeded our expectations...beautifully appointed, public spaces with large comfortable guest rooms and outstanding meeting facilities. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. The restaurant and bar areas were fun spots to unwind at the end of each day.
Cons: While hotel premises were designated as non-smoking, the external courtyard smoking area was adjacent to some guest rooms with lingering aftereffects from smokers.

Pros: Upon check-in, we were given an upgrade for free. Since we had come in early, they stored our luggage and we were able to go around and start sightseeing immediately. Potsdamer Platz U-bahn, S-bahn and DB banhof are right outside the hotel. Rooms are also very spacious and well-appointed.

Pros: The location was amazing! We didn't even realize there was a Ubahn station at the edge of the hotel with cars going through the center of the hotel until our second day there. Brandenburg Tor was only a short walk away. the staff was friendly.
Cons: I heard the breakfast was expensive, so we walked to the nearby cafes instead. They claimed you could control the temperature from the TV, but we couldn't cool the room down any.

Pros: Great design and features. The included breakfast buffet had soooo many options. The hotel is and feels new and the location is great for getting around Berlin - just a short walk to U2 station or a slightly longer short walk to the large station at Potsdamer Platz
Cons: Pillows were extremely thin and soft. I could not get enough neck support and woke up sore. Climate control is done through the TV but it never worked for me so I was at the mercy of the hotel temp.

Pros: I got a "Dom view" suite. It is large and had a terrific view of the Berlin main cathedral. large comfortable bathroom. The lounge downstairs has a fireplace that is Going every night. Great place to relax and have a whiskey. Breakfast in the restaurant is also excellent.
Cons: I've rented the regular rooms before and they are small. The suite is worth the extra cost. Beds have two small half comforters, one for each person. Would brew way better if it had a single large one. But that seems like something that is normal for German hotels.

Pros: The location is great, very clean, staff was great, and property was kept up. Hackescher Markt is a good area with shopping and restaurants, weekly markets Thursday nights and Saturday, and a S-Bahn stop to easily get anywhere in Berlin.

Cons: Duvet was tiny and thin, the shower head broke off and it drenched the entire bathroom, the safe in my room didn't open, two lamps didn't work. When I complained, they just looked with a blank expression on the face. On my return to the room later that night, only the shower head was fixed. No apology, no offer to make good. I'm never staying there again.

While windowless, the skylight and available airconditioning made up for it. Enjoyed the rain showers making noise on our roof! Natural white noise to sleep to.

Pros: We had a comfortable, well laid out room with great amenities and quality linen. wifi worked well and room was cleaned and re-stocked daily. Most of the staff we interacted with were professional and efficient.
Cons: There were quite a number of maintenance issues with our room which were attended to quickly however the many intrusions impacted on our stay overall and we were astonished that the front desk thought nothing of it and appeared unconcerned from a good customer service perspective.

Pros: Mercury had big 'airport' ambitions, in a still downbeat neighborhood. A walk away from trendy NeuKölln. Had an awesome room with a view, all perfectly kept in that 80's style and feeling.

Cons: Restaurants in the area are basic to average. You will have to travel by Subway to areas with better food and pubs.
