Had a very nice breakfast, rooms were kept very clean Not a very good location. Rooms rather spartan
I made a reservation for ten people 3 rooms with yourself and 2 rooms with Venere.com al rooms were adequate but three rooms were more superior with one having a separate seating area more like a suite(a little dissapointing as I hade made all the bookings and was accommodated in the smaller of the rooms) I know its sounds picky but it was a bit dissappointing.
location, breakfast inclusive Tiny room, even by Euro standards
A kind atmosphere, very friendly personel. Exorbitante rate for private WiFi internet use. There is a computer in the lobby available with free internet but this is no solution for private use.
The personnell was very friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean, there was plenty of information material on Berlin available as well as (German) newspapers. The breakfast buffet was excellent. In summer time it must be nice to sit outside on the garden terrace. The hotel lies very close to the Schlachtensee and is surrounded by beautiful nature.
this was one of my favorite places. The staff/onwer was available and as pleasant as could be. The location was superior and the garden setting for the fabulous breakfast was so pretty. Really gave personal attention. nothing
Located in a very good quality environment
Very good location for exploring the Grunewald area of woods and lakes on the outskirts of Berlin; only 3 minutes from the S-Bahn. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, excellent buffet breakfast; bike hire was available for only 5 Euros a day No
Really enjoyed! Amazing breakfasts, very helpful staff, fantastic location in the middle of our places of interests (XIX c. villas drvelopments). Great! Slightly accoustic floors
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the hotel extremely quiet and in a peaceful residential area close to both lovely walks and very efficient transport into the centre of the city.
Very nice building, comfortable beds, very good breakfest, sufficient sizes, nice location
The positon of the hotel is good with a excellent restuarant next door and a first class shopping mall three minute walk away. I did not like the fact that the reception closed at night and there were no drink making facilities in the rooms.
Efficient, clean, non-fussy, good breakfast. Good location, quiet. No English-language TV or newspapers.
discrete, silance, excellent breakfast
Everything was ok. The staff, the room, facilities. It was clean and calm. Perfect surroundings, comfortable communication with centre.
Great breakfast. Clean. Plesant staff. No high-speed internet.
I liked the small breakfast area which was very informal .and cosy. I really enjoyed the restaurant next door .The Ravenna is close to Tegal airport which means taxi fares are reasonable and lastly the shopping mall close by is such a bonus. I did not like the fact that he reception closed at night.I thought a nice touch would be a tray in the rooms with tea or coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was very nice, the staff pretty friendly and we had a roof terasse of a sort, although it wasn't as romantic as one would think it was still kinda funny Lack of fresh air in the corridors, stuffy in the room
Room was very clean and it was near to bus and ubahn lines. Not condusjve to elderly or handicapped. Even though there was an elevator, there are stairs to every floor.
Friendly staff and wifi works well. Beds are short and really narrow. Drapes are not blackout and rather thin so between a short bed and light waking me up early, was not a great sleeping experience. No air conditioning in the room, so if you are staying here in summer like I did be prepared to sweat. Also, if you have a roadside view, traffic is loud, so open windows are not much of an option.
Very quite, convenient car-park in the hotel, located in Steglitz (halfway between Berlin city-center and Potsdam). Very good connexions to city center: 100m to U-Bahn/S-Bahn Stations "Rathaus Steglitz". Very close to "Schloss-Strasse" (big shopping street!) and "botanischer Garten".
The staff was awesome!!! They had the chef make fresh chicken nuggets for our picky kids (even though it wasn't on their menu). The room was spacious and the view looking down to the river was very nice.
The staff will spoil you and they will try to get the comfort you need. The hotel is placed in a middle of the forest. It is a quiet and nice place. The image of the hotel is dragged down because of the dirty and stained carpet from hallways and room. The bathroom wasn’t clean either.
Beautiful and quiet location with good connection to the center.
The good quality room, the excellent service and the quit green natural environment, easy access to the public transport system and the free parking. The beautifull terrace was mostly empty in the evening.
The setting "in the green" was exactly what we were looking for in a hotel.
the food and the staff were excellent the beds were too soft
Nice location - quiet but also easy to reach by public transport; breakfast really great
comfotable, quiet, friendly staff, not (too) commercial
Hotel Morgenland is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and allows guests to enjoy walks along the nearby Teltow Canal and parks. Furnishings are somwhat plain but my bed was very comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and efficient.
Staff were very helpful, clean rooms and good value
Quiet location, homely feel, great breakfast! Ability to take pets. Off road parking limited spaces but lots of room on road!
The hotel was clean & comfortable & the food excellent. What set the establishment apart, however, was the friendly and extremely helpful attitude of the staff: from finding a spare power adaptor to replace the one I forgot, to arranging an almost instant taxi to the airport when the one we had booked failed to turn up; in both cases, no charge. Staff also advised us how to get around Berlin. Nothing.
Part of the hotel is in a nice, old building. Good breakfast.
Clean, wel designed rooms with facilities to prepare food. No reception during weekends and restaurant next door not always open to receive keys.
having a kitchen in the room they do not have food facilities, like breackfast
I liked the location it was nice and quiet with some good resturants around. I also like the bar that was near it. Nice and quiet and the locals are very friendly. If you go on a Sunday remember Germany is closed so get a few supplies like breakfast before arriving. I liked the clean room and the presentation of the room. The receptionist is very nice and helpful when asking questions. There where good transport links into Berlin central via the S-Bahn and Bus. Also there are some good food shops around but are not open on a Sunday. I found the hotel very good vaule for money as you get the simple things that you would require for a room. I did not like the fact the hotel did not have a reception on weekends but getting the keys from next door in the chinese resturant was very good and easy they also do very nice food.
It is very close to the place where I had a conference and it is very quiet place, so I could work also in the hotel.
the apartment was large the rooms were not clean, carpets, walls were dirty, the mini kitchen was not functional and the dishes nor washet for a long, long time... the towels were not changet in the 5 days I stayed and not even the garbage was not taken.
Not too much A lot, one towel for three days, not amenities at all, The head shower was leaking and broken, the seat of the toillet was defective and from another cheap brand. I hope the next time at least you can have wireless service. lack of cleanliness
Great value for money. Was quite far from centre of berlin, but that wasn't too much of a problem because of good train connections.
a bit noisy, cause it is right by main road. that is unavoidable though.
Room had kitchen facilities - although very sparse (1 glass, no cups, no teaspoons) There was a balcony, the hotel is very close to the S-Bahn and there was a bus stop outside which takes you to Alexanderplatz and Postdamer Platz. There were 3/4 restaurants in close vicinity (Chinese one next door) as well as 2 supermarkets. The room was very dusty and obviously hadn't been cleaned for a while. Also because there is no reception cover at the weekend, there was nobody that you could complain to, in order to change the room. This was the only thing that let the hotel down. Otherwise for the price it was a sufficient, good sized room.
good value for money.Closed to metro station. Big and clean apartments A little bit far from city centre
Value for money with an excellent location near to S-Bahn Station
it was ok
they where not verry friendly. About the price. when we come with the carbadgerun we get discount 15% but they don't want use discount. Then we have to call them
The hotel is close to the S-Bahn so travelling around Berlin is easy despite not being in the centre The staff spoke very little English so it was difficult to make myself understood. There are limited catering facilities in the hotel so evening meals should be taken elsewhere.
Large room, comfortable, good breakfast, excellent staff .
Spacious room. Convenient car parking. Breakfast selection and quality is very good.
Unpretentious, and really good value for money. Great location.
Clean, functional, no-nonsense room. Some distance from city center but low price to compensate.
All staff very good allrounders
Good location it needs updating.
comfortable bed No
Breakfast (Germans are good at this) you start the day with a great breakfast. You don't even think about lunch for a while. The size of the room. In Germany the Hotel rooms are small, and if you travel with the family you would have to pay for two rooms, I had one room here. They do not have parking. In Berlin this is a problem. You need a small vehicle in order to fit in a parking space, if available.
Locati̇on Very old hotel
The room (at the back of the hotel) was clean and quiet Very unprepossessing indeed from the front (website picture misleading); receptionist working in the cramped breakfast room below street level; little English spoken; access to underground car park awkward; cars stacked etc; rooms at front would be very noisy
Wireless internet access at a reasonable price of 3 euros per day. Full breakfast provided. Rooms are reasonably spacious. Rooms facing street are noisy due to traffic; rooms facing inside much quieter. Overall, hotel provides good value for money. About 8 mins walk to Schloss U-bahn station and great shopping street. Noise from traffic.
None The worst hotel I ever stayed
in a nice area to walk it would have been nice to know if there were places to eat in the area.. also a phone book or list of taxis to call.
Stinky room, small T.V. very friendly staff. But, next time, I would splurge for €25 more and stay at Best Western! Too cheap for my budget. At €75 a night, would rather spend 20 more and go to a chain or nicer one!
I hate being such a pessimist but literally there was nothing I enjoyed about this hotel. Website pictures extremely misleading. Hotel staff spoke absolutely no English. Free parking nearby is a myth and cheap parking is only available with early reservation so they charge you a lot to park in the underground parking garage. Room was very grimy and didn't have a/C. Avoid at all costs.
The staff was very friendly and quick to respond to any problems
The room was clean and comfortable, but a little bit small. The breakfast was ok.
kind staff no bathroom in the room
the situation of hotel in green area no possible to pay with credit-card (visa)
Closeness to the S-Bahn. Superior Breakfasts. Attentiveness of staff.
The room was nice sized and had wonderful windows the bathroom was a shared bathroom with other occupants - more like a hostel
Staff very helpful, my room was small but clean and very quiet. I had a shared bathroom but never needed to wait. Bathroom also clean. Breakfast was really good.
The hotel was conveniently located next to an SBahn station. They served a good full breakfast. It was quiet, the beds were comfortable. Was glad at least one of the staff could speak English well. The door handles were difficult to operate - got locked in the room in the beginning. I was happy to see they had wireless internet in the breakfast room, but the signal was not strong enough to reach the bed rooms.
They charge the invoice with extra fee. No reason for that.
The staff are friendly and competent, and remember you from previous stays. The hotel is located in a silent but easily accessible neighbourhood (there is a train station very close to it). You have a couple of restaurants/bars/shops nearby, and another important thing is the hotel's free parking facility - a great advantage over similar hotels downtown..
Free wireless internet!
it was best located for my purpous
Quietness (at least on the side opposite to the S-bahn). Residenyial district. No telephone in the rooms.
The manager was excellent and helpful. The hotel was well situated for a congress at the FU. The hotel was in a quiet area.
Ideally situated for my business. Value for money. Close to S-Bahn into Berlin.
Great location. Close to Freie University, and next to train station that takes you to downtown Berlin. Very quiet. Good breakfast.
Nature and place
Excellent Italian restaurant on the ground floor. Location close to the train station, in a nice neighbourhood. The internet connection did not work.
Frienliness of the staff
I had to leave hotel am 6;30 due to the business trip. They served the breackfast for me even their standard breakfast time is from am 7.
Nice room, quite big, a real bargain for the money we spent. Had a room on the street side so it was quiet enough, quieter than on the railroad side. Nice breakfast-brunch on Sundays, a bit weak on the other days. Wireless is in practice accessible only on first floor and you'll have a much easier time with the staff if you speak German. No serious problems though.
The hotel is quite ejoyable, tidy, not so big, but for some purposes perfect. The food served in there is very tasty and delicious, and the stuff crew who is working there, is friendly and hospitable. No.
clean no internet
Location really great - being within the S-Bahn complex at Wannsee. The outside dining area was really great. Staff were never at the reception desk - sometimes quite abrupt. I had to try to look for staff to check in and then search the complex for staff to check out. Hotel runs more like a restaurant with rooms etc. Also, whilst location within the S-Bahn station (yes, really!) was very handy (for Potsdam or a longer commute to Berlin) - the noise at 4:30 in the morning was a bit of a nightmare if you leave your window open (although fans are provided in the rooms to avoid this).
Comfortable public areas - nice terrace. Hotel is literally right above the Wannsee s-bahn station so transport is easy. The Booking.com website overbooked the hotel so I had to wait in the lobby for a cancellation in order to get my reservation honored. The lobby picture is deceptive. That is actually a photo of the bar. The lobby check in area is behind the restaurant and up the stairs. The male employees were a bit too friendly. Breakfast not included.
Absolutely nothing!!! In a word, it was disgusting. I had to buy a can of air freshener to stay even one night. The wesite should have warned that their were no bath towels, I had to buy those as well. I booked for two nights, paid for two nights, but could not allow my children to stay for two nights and checked out the second day and went home. Also the "buffett brekfast" was pitiful.
Tidy and friendly. Good value for the money. An efficient spot if you're going to be at the Free University.
Acceptable price, quite a good value of money. Staaf ready to help. Heating in the room on the third floor was fairly insufficient, just partially warm. The hotel equipment looks fairly old.
I like the service the attitude ,breakfast)))and very good location Perhaps it was alittle bit cold during staying there
The staff was nice and helpful, the price was excellent and for me the location was great, not very close to the city centre but close to the university. Just the fact that there is no lift and you need to carry your bags 2 or 3 floors
Staff and Breakfast only The entrance was dark and dingy with dog barking fearcly from downstairs flat. Had to climb 4 flights stairs to room and found to be dirty and unmade beds even arriving after 6pm. Most depressing room I have ever stayed in as with the hotel, very very poor indeed, I would suggest you immediately remove it from your portfolio without hesitation.
the room was very nice and staff happy to help see you next year thanks
the breakfast, big clean rooms unfriendly hotel staff
Heating system, bedmatte
location needs renovation
