How to Get to Amalfi

Plane

Although Amalfi doesn’t have its own airport, you can fly to Salerno Costa d'Amalfi (QSR), which is located 26 km from Amalfi. The shortest flight to Amalfi from the United Arab Emirates departs from Dubai and takes around 6h 20m.

Train

Trenitalia is the most popular train carrier serving Amalfi, followed by Italotreno. The train journey from Amalfi to Rome takes 2h 03m and costs around AED 48 for a one-way ticket. When coming by train from Florence, expect to pay about AED 110 for a 4h 53m trip.

Car

Another option to get to Amalfi is to pick up a car hire from Rome, which is about 226 km from Amalfi. You’ll find branches of SURPRICE CAR RENTAL and Centauro, among others, in Rome.

Several bus lines operate bus routes to Amalfi, including FlixBus, Itabus and Fiumicino Express. From Salerno, the bus ride to Amalfi takes 97 km and will cost you around AED 44. From Rome, the ticket costs about AED 59 for a journey of 225 km.
