It was clean The parking very expensive
The room was very clean, the price was reasonable for downtown DC. Went to get away and attend a Wizards game, and the location is perfect for attending events at Verizon. Would absolutely stay again. Pool water was cold.
Close proximty to city center, metro access through lobby. Nothing
Location, location, location Helpful staff Very outdated Raggedy carpet Stench in hallway Noise from plumbing in next room
Location was excellent. The hotel is really nice and the price we got could not be beat.
The Grand Hyatt is our favorite hotel. They have everything from good food to gift shops to a pool. I would highly recommend it! The room service options were slightly limited
Great accommodations perfect for Travel Show we were attending. Loved the location--convenient to many restaurants and sites of the city.
The location was great and the rooms were updated. To big. Staff was not very friendly.
Lots of foodie options and gourmet coffee within a five minute walk. Close to subway. Acceptably clean. Clearly some deferred maintenance in the guest room bathroom.
Everything was very good but the cost was high for a room. I could have been as comfortable at a less expensive hotel Cost
Clean room Quiet Friendly Staff Great location Great price Nothing!
I like that I was created with champagne and the staff were very friendly!
Updated, modern hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for touring DC by foot. Restaurant food was so-so. Found places close by for all of our other meals.
I liked the location Facilities, it is expensive for what they offer
Friendly staff. Citrus water in lobby refreshing Great interior design/decor Location No free wi-fi
First class location and facilities Expensive
FRONT DESK LADY WHO WAS A COWBOY FAN MADE ARE STAY FUN WITH ALL HER ASSOCIATES BEING SO HELPFUL AND LOOKINg OUT FOR TWO SENIOR CITIZENS ! THANKS !
The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and polite. There was a mix up with my parents reservation, and he too care of it. He also upgraded our room. The concierge was great with our kids, and gave them a free movie.
Close To Monuments And Verizon Center
The price was quite reasonable and the location was convenient as well. The staff was friendly and helpful too. Also the room was nice and clean. First, the website says the amenities include parking. What it doesn't tell you is that it is valet parking at almost $50/day. Second, the website says the amenities include free wifi. What it doesn't tell you is that the wifi is only free if you connect to it down in the lobby. Otherwise, it is almost $13/day if you connect to it from your room. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay. I just wish the website was a little more detailed/honest with some of its information.
Great location... Convenient to Metro and downtown Washington No negatives on this trip
Location was great, staff was great
Everything was great! Am upset that they put an $800 hold on my credit card when the room was only $300
The location and thier bed was comfortable. The AC . It was not cool enough. Need more tisue for tolet. Better reciption staff.
Staff was so friendly and the hotel was very clean. Huge bonus was how close the hotel was to everything!! Everything is within walking distance from the hotel.
Central location Clean rooms Value for money (I suppose) WiFi not free in rooms and expensive Restaurant average. We asked for a cappuccino and got coffee tasting line filtered coffee with normal milk with lots of froth on top.
Cheap. No real benefits as a Marriott Rewards Platinum member. Nothing special about the facility. Lots of noise in the hallways at night.
Staff was very attentive and very friendly. Right next to Metro station that had a stop at Reagan Airport!
Staff was great Size of room
I loved my stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco. Our room was on a quit floor, spacious with high ceilings, a seating area, and a fully stocked minibar. The hotel is centrally located so easy to walk to nearby restaurants and museums. The pillows were not fluffy, more flat leaving my neck sore the next morning.
The staff, lobby, bar were very good and comfortable. The resturant was average. The room was small since the building was converted to a hotel from the post office. I stay with the Kimpton chain all the time. The room was very small for 2 people and 2 21 inch suitcases. However, it was functional. I rete the hotel 3.5 starts.
Friendly staff who helped with relocation to a room on a different floor than initially indicated and provided forgotten toiletries in the morning. This hotel is in a neat building and in a great location. The weather, but you can't control that.
Beautiful room in historical building within short walk to all major museums, White House, and the Mall. Gold fish provided by the hotel (you have to ask for it) kept us company and made us feel at home. Complimentary bottle of champagne for my birthday was unexpected and wonderfully rounded up absolutely unique experience.
This hotel, in an excellent location is a bit "long in the tooth" as the Brits would say.. but aside from the 1/4 mile walk to my room, the staff was great and they had a nice hospitality bar in the main lobby. Getting your bag up a flight of stairs w/o a ramp is something that they should work on .. esp when no valet staff is around to help. About as convenient as the NY Subway.
Great Hotel. My wife and I stayed here for valentines/anniversary. We were very pleased with the service from start to finish. We got the King Room with the vaulted ceilings and was everything we expected and more. Wow! those robes are nice and after not going ahead and buying one the spot I finally just broke down and ordered it. Staff at the front desk were very courteous and helpful and that extra touch of remembering that I had called earlier to inform them that we would not check in until after dinner was nice. (Hey I know its in the computer but its nice to hear the words). We will definitely return again.
Great location if spending time along the National Mall. It's only a few blocks down. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff very kind and helpful. The in-hotel restaurant Poste is very good as well (get the Lamb Burger!). Overall, my wife and I had a great time there. Like most hotels ... the pillows. The mattress itself was great, but the pillows were small and squished down to near nothing.
It was very well positioned in downtown DC. It was very old which was kinda cool but take your allergy meds it was very dusty. I think it may have been haunted too... Lol
We basically got two rooms for the price of one. A room with two singles for the kids and the other with a king. The price was half of the other hotels in the area and was close to everything. The rooms were dated and while I wouldn't say the were dirty they were rough around the edges. The beds were old school and not the most comfortable.
location hasn't been renovated in, like, 80 years. shabby doesn't fully capture it. windows are thin and so noisy tasters choice instant coffee in the room
Location is very ideal and convenient Carpet in the foyer and lifts looks too old and dents impression on the hotel
Walking distance to everything we wanted to do Parking was expensive
loved the design, staff, the room and the breakfast! the fitness room could use some mats for floor stretches. also there is some space for additional equipment, such as a cable trainer or a pull up bar
Location, facilities, clean hotel, price Parking option. We parked offsite, 3 blocks away, for 1/3 the cost.
For a stay in Washington D.C., I cannot imagine a more perfect hotel than the Courtyard Washington Convention Center. My husband and I were planning a quick sightseeing trip, and chose the hotel for its price and location. We could not have been more pleased. The hotel was immaculate, our beds were comfortable, and the staff was always more than accommodating. We were within walking distance of the National Mall, a number of museums and restaurants, and practically above Ford Theatre. The hotel itself was not without its charms; being an old bank, the basement included old vaults, and the local architecture, both of our building and the others in the area proved unparalleled. If we ever return to Washington D.C., we would love to stay here again. We were very sad to check out and see our visit end.
It was a nice hotel, in a relatively good location. Not a far walk to the Smithsonians, White House, etc. Parking is expensive and they tell you there's no charge for room service to be delivered, but there is.
Room was good for one person on a business trip. I had problems with the parking. It was expensive for the bad service that was given to me. Also I was double charged for my room. I have booked many hotel rooms and that has never happened to me
