Cons: The construction impacted the ease of navigating the main lobby floor. Also, i was not instructed on how to use the elevator system when i checked in, which confused me and delayed my movement toward my room.

Pros: We likes the decor and the cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel was in a good location for sightseeing.
Cons: Housekeeping forgot to clean our room in the morning so we had to call and ask that they come at night when we were out to dinner. The pillows were also really too soft without much support. And we didn't realize until we got there that the overnight parking fee was $59 per night....kind of a lot when you gross everything up we might have been better off at another hotel location with less expensive parking! Once you are there though you are stuck with it. Ugh. Next time.

Cons: As an Ohio State Buckeye fan, there on the annual rival between OSU and Michigan, we wore our OSU gear and decided we liked the hotel bar nooks of chairs around TV. We were so disappointed the bar only plays music and the TV’s are muted. There were other guests also asking to hear the game. First staff said they can’t play the TV volume. Then they said they would try but there was no one in house that knew how to. We certainly would have spent the time at another establishment. I’m glad I wasn’t hearing impaired. No one on site even knew how to put on subtitles to follow the story. Didn’t expect that negative experience.

What it doesn't tell you is that the wifi is only free if you connect to it down in the lobby. Otherwise, it is almost $13/day if you connect to it from your room. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay. I just wish the website was a little more detailed/honest with some of its information.

Pros: From the moment we stepped out of our rental car the hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We had just come in to DC from two days of flying and driving and right away the hotel staff made us feel right at home. They carried our bags, helped us with transportation in DC by pointing us in the right direction, and even gave us apples on our way out for the day. We had never been to DC and have 2 small children and did all the sight seeing we could pack in for 2 days. The location of the hotel was great. One night the weather was great and we all enjoyed the walk through the city back and forth from the Washington Monument. It is quite the walk, so if you are not up for it we also took a cab and used Lyft in which every place only cost about 10.00 to get a ride to and from the hotel. I also feel compelled to mention that maybe it was the look on our faces when we stepped out of our car after the long traveling experince with 2 small kids, but whatever it was they upgraded our room to a balcony! I think her name was Elena that offered the upgrade, and it was very much appreciated!

When we did check-in we had already pre-paid for a Fabulous Room, but the staff member that was checking us in recommended we switch to a Spectacular Room since we had a young child. He said the Fabulous Room would be too loud due to the location of being on the top floor under the bar. We agreed to change rooms, but were only offered breakfast vouchers which we knew we wouldn't use. After we walked away my husband said he felt like the guy was a used car salesman and that we got played. We went back to the desk and dealt with another employee (Harry) and he switched us back to our original room and said that the room was not that loud.

Having never stayed in Washington DC before, we were surprised by the fee for parking instead of free parking. We found later that every hotel in DC charges for parking. It was roughly $50 per day but parking was secured safely in two basement levels. We had access to the car whenever we wanted, we just had to ask. our checkout time was 12:00 Sunday, but could stay parked until 1:00. We checked out in the morning and were able to pay an extra $10 to leave it parked until 5:00. Good deal!
If you stay here, be sure to eat at least once at Busboys and Poets around the corner. Best crab cake platter I ever had! The were served over grits that were as creamy as mashed potatoes, covered with lobster sauce, and topped with fresh asparagus. And the waiting area is a bookstore! Mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room, although fresh coffee was available in the lobby at any time. Wonderful shower and clean bathroom.
Having never stayed in Washington DC before, we were surprised by the fee for parking instead of free parking. We found later that every hotel in DC charges for parking. It was roughly $50 per day but parking was secured safely in two basement levels. We had access to the car whenever we wanted, we just had to ask. our checkout time was 12:00 Sunday, but could stay parked until 1:00. We checked out in the morning and were able to pay an extra $10 to leave it parked until 5:00. Good deal!
If you stay here, be sure to eat at least once at Busboys and Poets around the corner. Best crab cake platter I ever had! The were served over grits that were as creamy as mashed potatoes, covered with lobster sauce, and topped with fresh asparagus. And the waiting area is a bookstore! Wonderful atmosphere in the bookstore and restaurant.

There's not enough light by the mirror for makeup, they need to have a movable mirror that you can take to the desk. Only one of the bedside lamps worked. One of the elevators was down, so it sometimes took a long time to get to the room.

Cons: My only complaint is that the windows really need to be replaced. The up/down casement windows tended to slide down from the top, which let in a draft. Also, they are single-pane, which allow every noise outside into the room, and I was on the 7th floor. Tuesday morning trash pick-up was especially vivid, and a construction project that was a block away sounded like it was next door.

I should have parked my own car. I feel that the hotel was nervy and rude to charge us double the going rate for parking - without notifying me. I felt taken advantage of, since we were already paying top dollar for a 1 night stay. The hotel was nice, but not that nice. I stay in DC all the time, but I may not return unless this problem is rectified.

It is very close to two subway (metro) stations and only a short ride way from Union Station where we took the bus to NYC.
We enjoyed the coffee maker in our room and refrigerator to keep our snacks.
We appreciated free coffee stand in the lobby.
Cons: it's more of a wish - wish you guys had free breakfast. Most hotels do nowadays.

Cons: If you stay in a room facing 14th street you *will* hear street noise. We were on the 12th floor and you may as well be on the first floor because the height doesn't help with the noise at all. After a long day of walking you probably want a good night's sleep, that's probably not going to happen. Street traffic is loud and people tend to yell outside.

I don't think that gives them the right to just throw my stuff around as if there was nothing of worth in there....what if it was a bottle of cologne that broke - would I have had to tell them it was fragile for something as small as that.
After all my stuff was covered in vodka, they let me use their laundry services and actually ended up replacing the bottle with something of similar value.
It ended up being okay and I was thankful for the replacement.

They also both signed a hand written card for my wife's b-day that was waiting for us in the new room. Overall, they both made our stay at the Loew's hotel very enjoyable. Cons: The restaurant was not appealing. Not many closeby restaurants or shops. No convenience stores nearby. Walmart is about 15 minute walk which is not far, but I'm not sure if it's safe to walk at night. There is a liquor store across the street, but it's not a convenience store so the items are limited. Nowhere did I see that when I booked the trip. $8 for a draft beer that should be $3, I get a call from security in the evening waking me up, stating that the policy is to call if the do not disturb sign is out. The do not disturb sign was out, I didn't want to be disturbed. Couldn't go back to sleep. I'm a small business owner, if I treated my customers that way, I would be out of business. Also, we had reserved a city view room. We ended up with a room facing to the interior of the hotel. We got there so late at night and had to just put the kids to bed, that it wasn't worth the hassle of packing up and moving to a new room. Would have been nice. But they gave me 2,000 SPG points for the mistake.

Cons: The rooftop pool lounge was not open for beverages apparently. Also, we went to the first floor lounge at 5pm and when we told them we were not having a full meal, just drinks and apps, we were given specific/limited seating. Which makes sense, but there is no separation between "bar" and main dining room. So, why bother I guess is my point, especially since we were the only ones in there. Just let us sit wherever we want!

I personally felt like a trapped animal and I lived in Manhattan for 15 years. Front desk couldn't suggest a decent local restaurant within walking distance beyond their hotel restaurant. Lame.

Cons: The valet service was rather pricey and didn’t accommodate for a two car stay at the hotel. I found the destination fee was uneconomical, especially if you are already paying a price for the stay and have to pay for free amenities.

Cons: Breakfast at the restaurant was mediocre at best. I was asked to sit at the bar because they had no tables ready, even though it was mostly empty! They seemed short staffed. I asked for coffee, they brought it to me black with nothing to dress it up with. No milk, sugar, sweeteners. Nada. $15 "local" bagel and lox was basically airplane food. We didn't eat at the restaurant for dinner--supposedly it's a good sushi place--but for breakfast you'd be better off going to ABP or Starbucks around the corner for airplane food at 1/3 the price.

Pros: The location was good. The decor was nice and what you would expect from a 4star hotel.
Cons: They tried to charge us for umbrellas that were returned to the front desk. When I returned the umbrellas to the front desk, the lady was very rude for no reason. Two of the elevators were out of service and the other two seemed as if they would break soon. It was scary everytime getting into the elevator because it would shake and make a noise. Twice the door didn't close all the way completely, leaving a small crack, and the elevator would not move. I highly doubt I would stay here again because of the lady I dealt with that was rude and tried to charge me for umbrellas that were returned.

Pros: We enjoyed our stay at the Washington court hotel after the liaison did not have a room for us.
Cons: We arrived at the liaison at 12 am hoping to get into our room quickly and get some rest. We waited in line for at least 30 minutes to check in, as other guests appeared to be having issues with check in. After finally reaching the check in desk, we were told that the room we had reserved was not available. The only available room had no bed, just a pull out couch that could only sleep one person. This situation was the same for another 5-6 parties attempting to check in after us. We were given the option of staying at another hotel down the street and switching back to the liaison for the second night of our stay. We decided to cancel our liaison reservation and stay at the other hotel for both nights. The entire situation was handled in a very unprofessional manor, adding stress and confusion to what we hoped to be a relaxing weekend.

Cons: It took 20 minutes of standing in a very short line before I was checked in. There was a jug with fruit infused water for guests to enjoy. But there was also an overflowing trash can of plastic cups right next to it. There was only one person assisting customers. When I gave my name and info, the representative had a hard time. I showed her my reservation on my phone. She looked at it for at least 3 minutes and then told me that I need to call Kayak to get my confirmation#. I was confused and asked shouldn't she call them (since I stood in line for so long). Luckily I found what she missed on my reservation and she was able to check me in. Later that evening, we were given the number to a local restaurant that delivers. We ordered food. The next morning there is a receipt for a long distance call on the floor near the door. When I called the front desk about it, the rep said they would talk to their manager. When I checked out that day, I mentioned it and the representative at the desk dismissively said that her boss took care of it. No apology or friendly demeanor to spare I suppose. The carpet in the lobby needed vacuuming. It looked like the day after a party in the lobby.

Cons: While checking in, a friend and myself was told the pool for closed for an event(it was 98 degrees )! One of the main reasons we even picked the hotel was for there rooftop pool. After getting in the room I then called the operator because the staff at the front desk seemed unsure and it was three of them. All i asked was, when was the event going to end ? We then went to the roof top for drinks and seem guest kids etc in the pool. We then asked the bartender about the event, she had no clue what we were talking about.

Cons: Walking into the building there was an aurora of being a hideout for prostitutes and crack dealers. This was further confirmed when we got to our room and there was a mysterious stain ridden couch that would have been more at home in a crime scene. The stains continued as we ventured further in the room and noticed them on the rug and bed spread. Needless to say we spent as little time in that room as possible and will most likely never be going back to this hotel.

Cons: Valet parking only.. makes a bit inconvenient when needed the car, had to make sure to have ample time to wait for the car to come. The ramp to the hotel is all the way on the side of the building making bringing luggages and baby's cart difficult and also elderly or ppl w physical disability taking the stairs up and down at the entrance was not very safe.
Also I booked for two beds but somehow when I get to the hotel the two beds room was sold out so I got one bed only. Eventually was able to switch the next day but I cannot get $$$ back since I book thru the third party. Some miscommunication going on here.
