The hotel is a class act as good if not better than the four seasons and close to the Raffle's hotel chain
When your paying $450 you would expect free internet
Everyone was very nice and the food was wonderful. The hotel was spotless and decorated very well. Nothing. It was great.
We took our friends and business partners on a east coast vacation trip. Our last stop was the Mandarin Oriental. What a wonderful end to a great vacation!! We only wish we could have spent more time at your magnificent hotel. Everyone we had contact with were very cordial and accommodating. We will definitely return for a longer stay to see some of the sights we missed on this trip. We will also be staying at your great hotel. Thank you for all the wonderful service, till next time. I truly appreciate the ease with which we got the two smoking rooms adjoining each other, it was instrumental in choosing your hotel. Robert & Catherine Aganon No complaints.
Great proximity to the national mall
Location, staff, facilities Noise reduction in the room. You can hear activities in hallway and in the other room. Aldo you can hear the train but I knew that and it is not possible solve for the hotel
Friendly, helpful staff.
Everything! this is a beautiful affordable facility $40 for parking
I enjoyed my quiet room, which was impressive given how close we were to train tracks. I thought that the gym could use a facelift. Parking was not included, I paid $20 for 7 hrs., but the rate is $37/24hr. Thermostat was a little inconsistent.
Location was good Concierge desk did not know hours of museums. Hotel is a block away from Air and Space. Pool and fitness center, not communicated until we got there. Could not use rooftop to survey area and plan trip.
Great location. Very close to the national mall. Room was comfortable. Pool area was much nicer then I was expecting. restaurant and bar were not that great. Only near by food options were a McDonalds and some food trucks.
Really liked how clean the entire hotel was, the rooms were amazing! I asked one of the staff members if all the rooms were like that because I had read some reviews that said the hotel was a little out dated. That was definitely one of my concerns when booking the rooms, thankfully I was put on the floor that was fully remodeled. He proceeded to tell me that the entire hotel was gonna be remodeled. This is great news because I booked 3 rooms for my friends and I. We had nothing bad to say about the rooms! Clean white sheets, with working air in every room and not to mention the bathrooms! AWESOME! Clean and remodeled as well! Which is something that makes me really happy because I'm big on bathrooms being clean when I stay at a hotel! I had a huge cake that needed to be stored and the staff also took care of that with no problem! If you are looking for a long stay or even short stay in Washington DC this is your place! I have nothing bad to say about the place! I will for sure be recommending this hotel and will be coming back for sure! Thank you Holiday Inn! The parking was 37 dollars a night for one car. It wasn't really an issue to me though since I parked right on the sidewalk the hotel was on! It was free after 6:30 p.m. Saturday night. I'm pretty sure Sunday is free I wanna say until 5 p.m. We left around 1:00 p.m. Sunday morning and didn't have any trouble with parking tickets! It says it on the meter just can't remember! Again not a big fall back but something to be aware of 37 per night per car!
Location is excellent with rental bikes nearby. Starbucks onsite and McDonalds and CVS on same block. Food trucks nearby. Very clean. Comfortable beds and linens. Train whistle heard throughout the night.
Parking was not included
The hotel and staff were nice and excellent in that order. Two negatives... Biking with other than the hotel does not give the hotel recourse for problems. AC did not stay on all the time when it was set as such on thermostat. Hotel could not give any refunds or comps. Also it was quite obvious that a couple of women in the restaurant/bar were of dubious occupation and I heard one guy tell one of them "I can tell you whatever the "F" I want. Took away from the family atmosphere add this took place in the lobby area.
Great location , close to metro , musiems , the national mall Parking was not included cost an extra $37
We stayed for one night and our room was beautiful. We got lucky and our room was on the top floor and at the end of the hall so it was nice and quiet (aside from the occasional siren sound that everyone expects in the city). We could literally see the White House and the Washington Monument from our room! 10/10 we are going to try and stay there again! The parking fee was high, but I knew about it ahead of time only because I read reviews ($35/night after tax). Also , they forgot to put washcloths and hand drying towels in our room but we did not much care because of how beautiful the room was!
Noisy.... Pay extra for Parking in the same hotel that I stay...what a scam ....... Allowing People's from outside able to get in the hotel..and used the pool as there owm....overcrowding to pool to the extend that a paying customers can't used was like a old bad episode of MTV video " College spring break party & Cribs mix together I will never stay there again
Friendly staff at the desk and housecleaning. Clean rooms and building. I didn't get the breakfast buffet but it looked delicious and had a lot of options. Lobby bar was nice but short staffed. Bartender was funny and knowledgable of the area. I felt fine walking around the neighborhood. My boyfriend felt it was a little run down. Staff told me it's an "up and coming" neighborhood. I live in a city so I'm always very aware of my surroundings when walking on the street. I would recommend this to everyone, no matter the location. If looking for a restaurant, you would have to either eat at the hotel or go to a different neighborhood. Staff was friendly but checking in was slow. I think someone new was working the desk but still, very friendly and helpful.
Our reservation was not honored. We were told conflicting information between the hotel, kayak, and a 3rd party, amoma. Long story short, the hotel said we did not have a reservation (which we did and had pre-paid) and did not let us stay there.
The price for the room was great! We had a huge, clean room with a coffee pot, TV, view of the pool area. I experienced no cockroaches (which I saw in some other reviews) and the front desk were very accommodating. The location was good, we were 5-10 minutes drive away from all the monuments and it was easy to get to and from the Amtrak station. I'd stay here again! My entire floor wreaked of weed and it looked like a group rented out a room and partied it up. I didn't tell the front desk because once I got into my room, it was quiet and smelled like fresh air.
First it took forever to check in. The employee checking everyone in was amazing and trying to keep angry customers calm but there needed to be more staff. At 11 pm it should not take 30+ minutes to check in, when I already had a reservation. He couldn't find my reservation and said they don't always see reservations when booked on other sites. Then my room was nice, but freezing! Cold air was coming out when it should have been hot. I tried to bundle up but there was only one blanket.
You can't beat the location of the Skyline. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are in need of a facelift.
Its a dude and depressing place. Not good for vacation. Use for business maybe.
Convient, comfortable rooms w/very good service. Newly renovated and will stay again. Ice machine was empty.
Good location, nice rooms, in walking distance to the Capitol and the Metro (nearest stop: Navy Yard) Internet was quite slow in my room (I believe I had room 728)
The rooms were spacious. The room services were poor, they did not have any toothpastes to give or buy. The place was stinking through out. The parking was bloody expensive.
Location, staff and views. Hotel is not well taken care of. Broken bathtubs with cracks. Towels are very rough on the skin, it needs a little or a lot more fabric softener. No mini fridge in rooms. Loud guests in the hallways during weekend nights.
Breakfast was good and friendly service. Location was excellent for visiting Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Comfortabele rooms. Checkin was a bit chaotic and they were not sure about the price we had to pay. Very few restaurants in the direct environment. Glass door to bathroom offered not much privacy, although nice shower.
Amazing location! 1 block from the metro, 3 blocks from the Air and Space museum. Comfy beds, pretty good free breakfast, very friendly staff. I'd stay here again!
I stayed for two nights and I'm very happy with their services. Staff was courteous and all facilities were clean.
No clutter room, great bed, nice staff, business center in lounge. Happy hour No nearby restaurants, limited menu in the lounge
Good location Room was on the dirty side.......breakfast was good one day of the three mornings, otherwise cold food and the amount of people was crazy.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The elevator was an inconvenience. At times it said it was going down but would go up. Didn't like that only one elevator went to the roof top. Also, communicating with the vallet attendant was difficult. He didn't seem to understand our questions and we couldn't understand his responses.
Staff were incredibly friendly, we were given an upgrade to a suite, and it was such a great location! comfortable beds, great shower, nice bathroom, etc. Breakfast was comprehensive, but if you arrived after 8:15 it was hit or miss with what was left. Sometimes there was little food (we were there over cherry blossom festival), other times they did continue to replace. It was a good value though.
Location was fantastic. Clean updated rooms, great breakfast. We walked to all the museums.
Stay here, you'll love it. Professional, helpful staff, Large clean rooms, all are suites. Priced very reasonable for DC . Very secure, must have room key to operate elevators, get to pool, laundry area etc. Within walking distance to Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Breakfast could use more items, but they serve supper M-W nights, ice cream Thur night, and have a movie night Sat. Scary (very narrow) to get into underground garage. Large weight room, indoor pool. Large Laundry area on site . Only one restaurant close by. so go to Union station to eat supper.
Stayed here for 5 nights on a trip with a friend. Although directly next to the hotel, there was nothing around, it was only a couple blocks away from the Metro, which could take you anywhere in the city. If you have a car, the parking is rather steep, but there we found parking nearby very easily. Close to all the sights, we had really enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly, had a free breakfast every morning, and if we got tired, we could come back quickly to rest for a few hours. There were plates, utensils, glasses, microwave, dishwasher, and even pots, pans, and a stove for those times we wanted to reheat our leftovers from the night before. Great way to save money on food! The only con I had was that the hotel was not that close to the nightlife or Duport Circle.. So if you wanted to go to any clubs, you would have to drive or take the Metro.
Hotel was great - suites easily accom myself, my wife and our 4 year old. Pool was small but good, good fitness centre. Location to museums and metra fantastic - just a short walk. Staff very helpful. Best dining option was taxi to Chinatown, or delivery
I was really impressed with how beautiful the room was decorated and SO clean. I'm very impressed. This is coming from a mom of 2 kids and an aunt of a year old baby we took with us to the trip. The only sour note was how we got billed twice and the staff was not up to par when it comes to service. If they improve this bit then this hotel would be 5 stars in rating.
This hotel was awesome! The staff was friendly, the room was very comfortable, complementary breakfast was wonderful.
Construction ongoing adjacent to hotel, but we couldn't hear any of the noise. Close to the Washington Mall and most of the sites you will visit. We will be back.
This hotel is within walking distance to the National Mall. It is also within walking distance of a grocery store, serveral sandwich shops, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. The free hot breakfast was nice. There were eggs, muffins, potatos, make your own waffles, friut, yogurt, sausage, oatmeal ect so something for everyone. Staff was helpful and courteous, rooms clean.
Family of 4... we all loved our stay, easy metro access we stayed 5 days flew into Reagen National, did not need a car, used metro or easy walk to many sights. Breakfast bar is awesome & dinners at night M-W were also good , hot cookies & cocoa or coffee each night in lobby & rooms were spacious & clean, every detail covered, comfy bedding , great hot shower, offered privacy w/ suite arrangement w/ 2nd T.V.my son loved the indoor pool at night & the in room nintendo---Would most def. stay here again, a good value overall, esp. for the location.
The staff went out of there way to help us free welcome and were very helpful. The directions they gave to help us get around city were excellent. The Service staff that when shopping for our groceries was very conscience of the fact we were a girl scout troop on a budget.
This hotel was in a great location. Most monuments were a short walk away. The only negative was that there is not a lot of dining options in this area. There is a Potbelly deli, McDonalds, Quiznos Subs, and a Starbucks within walking distance; but if you're looking for more of a sit-down meal you'd have to go to Chinatown (which is just a short Metro ride or walk away). The Metro is right around the corner from the hotel. The pool and hot tub area could use some updating.
The hotel was great. I guess it's fairly new because my room was a LOT nicer than I expected. Very modern. The bathroom was beautiful as well. I was very pleased with my room and didn't want to leave Some may be turned off my the surrounding construction, but it's temporary and really didn't bother me at all. The only negative part of my trip was trying to get my car from valet. We texted a number which said the car was on the way. We ended up waiting for an hour, after which I asked the valet how much longer it would take and the keys were still there!! It wasn't their fault, they were clearly understaffed especially for a holiday weekend (July 4)
Spaciou bathroom Dining hall is a bit congested
Very Clean Complementary Breakfast Luxurious room and bathroom Good Wi-Fi Big TV Hold $50 from your credit card on top of what you pay as like a security deposit. Coffee sucked No vending machines or couldn't find them Lot of construction and in a sketchy part of the city No where to park without extra charge
Got there early and they and they found us a room with no extra charge and had to leave late and they worked with Nothing
located in a good newer area of the City, it is located at walking distance from The Capitol. the Subway one block away. The Hotel's terraza is fantastic and most of the personnel is superb (but for the one guy handling the desk overnight, seems not to like his job much) everybody else is kind and eager to help. If you are a runner don't miss heading down to the path by the river for an early morning one. The breakfast is pack with people and the space is small. You are going to wait for a while if not wreaking up early for it.
Staff was helpful in the wet weather
Good location, nice hotel, clean room, near metro Not included breakfast, no room service
Room was very clean and customer service was amazing. The little cafe downstairs had great food as well. Bar closes at 11. Gym was very tiny, I literally have more equipment at home and I had to share weights with a friend.
