Cons: The tiny shoe box of a car that I rented (Ford Fiesta) was nowhere near worth what I paid. It was the cheapest option I could find and thus I had no real choice, but still not worth it.

Pros: Clean, cheap, reasonable price although i chose dropoff at different location than pickup
Cons: There was no information during reservation to ket me know that pickup is not at main location on airport. Had to waste time locating shuttle to pickup location

Price did not match what was booked
Cons: I booked on kayak for 110.00 tax inclusive. When I got to the car rental desk it was 131.00. I know it is only 20 dollars and I did not have time to argue because I was running late but this was very misleading.

Only one problem
Cons: It should have been made clear by either Kayak or Dollar that the rental pickup was NOT at Reagan airport but rather required a shuttle to an offsite location. This added an hour of confusion to my morning.

Pros: Don't rent from here.
Cons: Rude, wouldn't let me pick up car at right time initially, tried to charge me an extra hundred dollars wouldn't reemburse me for flat tire fix after their customer service said they would. Poorly managed and terribly laid out.

Good, but not great
Pros: Good car in good condition. Return was easy, fast, and hassle-free. I liked that I could quickly and easily walk on the covered route from the terminal to the rental car center without taking their stupid shuttle bus.
Cons: The lady at the Fast Break kiosk was not very friendly, and the staff at the main rental counter seemed to be playing rock-paper-scissors NOT to be the one who did the work of renting us our car.

Pros: We had a Ford Escape, it was a great car and worked very well for the short weekend. The price was good for airport pickup, which is always expensive with tacked on taxes.
Cons: Budget was short on cars and we had to wait 30 minutes to get the car. Also, short on people during busy weekend, and we had to wait longer to figure out how to get the Emergency Light off! It would have been ideal to keep the owner's manual in the car.
On the other hand, the check out process was very easy and efficient.

Car we not clean or modern
Cons: Car was NOT clean, smelled like cigarette and had crumbs in back seat. Also did not have a tollpass or bluetooth.

Horrible Customer service
Pros: Car was reasonable price, clean no issues. Some of front desk staff was great.
Cons: Couldn't get someone to help with toll explanation. Car didn't have a fast pass type of device even though front desk said it would. After an hour trying to get ahold of someone they say it's by plate. Took 40 min to get someone to come check car in. Horrible service by some of staff.
Pros: Finding the drop off on Tryon was nearly impossible. Literally hidden. Make better directional signage!
The price was great. The check in was super easy. All staff VERY friendly. I wouldn't buy that model of car but it met my needs for this trip.

Pros: Car was clean
Cons: Need more signage at airport for returning car. BEWARE, they are great for wanting you to upgrade which of course will increase the cost. Have your agreement available from when you booked on line to confirm the agreed cost. Use of kiosk takes even longer to use then speaking with someone at the counter.

Cons: When I got to the airport to pickup my car, the retailer told me there were additional fees and taxes that I needed to pay because it was an airport pickup. I was also charged an additional amount when I dropped it off, again because the drop-off was at an airport. I also paid for a intermediate sized car but was given a Ford Fiesta. I was disappointed in this experience and would not recommend Hertz to anyone.

Overall good, location issue
Pros: Great little car! Drop off was painless.
Cons: My car was equipped with an easy pass for toll lanes, but it wasn't until I had a problem that I found out that you had to open a box in order to use it, that was not explain to me when the car was given to me, I had to look up to the pass and read it. I'm guessing will get a fine in the mail.

Great Rental at an Amazing Weekend Rate!
Pros: Great price. Nice people at the service desk. Fast in and out.
Cons: Be aware that it is quite a hike between the terminal and the garage where the cars are stored. This is the same for EVERY car rental company at DCA. I was fine, but if I'd had a lot of stuff to carry or my elderly parents had been with me, it would have been a problem for sure.
Cons: I pick up the car with an empty gas tank and returned it empty too but i was charged for the empty tank.
I am asking the company to refund the amount of money charged to my debit card

Washington DC Rental
Pros: 1. We picked car up at Dulles airport and dropped it at Union Station with no extra charge.
2. We used the online checkout feature so we were able to skip the line and pick up our car from the lot.

Very hard to find!
Pros: Very easy to access from the city
Quick & easy drop off
Cons: The place was incredibly hard to find. There are no signs. Instruction in confirmation were not clear enough. We called customer service because we drove around for about 39 mins and they were also not able to give us info on how to get there. They transferred us to the location desk and we were on hold for 15 minutes and no one picked up.

Good Price but Poor Vehicle Quality
Pros: Price was good and pickup personnel were attentive
Cons: The first vehicle (Economy) did not have a working passenger seatbelt. I switched for a second vehicle which had a very noisy ventilation fan/ motor. Unfortunately, it was 20 degrees at the time, so heat and the fan were necessary. In any event, it was only a day trip, so it was not the worst.
Pros: there was nothing to like because YOU GAVE MY CAR AWAY
Cons: No car! I thought I had reserved a car - I had, in fact. But because I didn't arrive at the time I had reserved (I was an hour late), they gave my car to someone else, and had no other cars available. We tried calling 3 others Enterprise locations but no one had a car.
I had reserved a car for 24 hrs. If the staff wasn't sure I was still coming to pick it up, why not call or email? Or if they don't want to contact me BEFORE, why not contact me AFTER so I don't waste a trip to the pickup location? Completely UNACCEPTABLE and ridiculous.
This is not how a car "reservation" should work. If you have a policy that customer must arrive within X minutes of car's reservation time, please make that clear so we know what the window of time is, or so we know when we need to modify the reservation to adjust the pickup time in advance.
BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!! Why would anyone make a reservation with Enterprise if we're not guaranteed an actual car? This was for an important trip to a hospital to visit a sick family member. Luckily I was able to get a car from Hertz.

Pros: I didn't get the car, they didn't have one for me
Cons: The person at the front desk was very very disrespectful to me and my husband. He claimed that he called and left a message and since we didn't call him back, we don't have a car. He also lectured us on how we need to answer our call when someone calls. we assured him that we didn't get a call but it didn't help. This was the worst experience of my life.

Pros: The pickup was very easy and quick. The car was clean and performed well.
Cons: When I went to drop off the car, the gate wouldn't open, saying the garage was full. It wasn't. After a while I finally figured out that I had to drive around the building and enter the garage from the top of the hill and drive all the way down through the garage. This whole process was unclear and added at least 30 minutes to my drop off which should have been easy.

Service was great -- kudos to Andy
Pros: This office does a lot of things right -- acknowledges your presence when you enter the office, especially if there's a wait ... walks through the process quickly and efficiently ... offered a slight upgrade at no cost ... uses wireless checkout ... points out location of gas gauge & tank operation (a first in my 25 years of renting cars) ... does a thorough damage check ... and still got me out of the office in seemingly record time. Way to go, guys.
Cons: A drop box is offered until 10pm ... a 24hr would be better if it's at all possible. Car was generally clean but not spotless (previous driver had left food remnants in the hidden section of the console). Overall a great experience. I'll be renting here again.

Beware Trumped up Charges
Cons: When dropping one -way rental off, agent tried to indicate I had caused damage to car. She couldn't even point out what damage there was and photographs and firsthand inspection show nothing. A week later they closed out so I'm assuming/hoping they've dropped this.
Charged for gas at higher rate though I asked to prepay.

Cons: My Second Poor Experience with Dulles Enterprise Rent a Car
I have rented two vehicles from Dulles Enterprise. Both were damaged. One SUV, one full sized car. Both times they attempted to charge me for the damage upon return. On pickup, they have you inspect the car under a canopy which makes it harder to see damage. On drop off, they inspect the car in the sun. Both times I almost missed the damage because it was under the canopy. Fortunately, the brake lights of the car parked in front of me went on that revealed fairly substantial damage which I could not see under the canopy. Because the same thing happened to me twice, I would classify it as a scam. It is intentional. Further, I booked my reservation through Kayak. It said it was an “on-airport” rental. I specifically check this because I have been burned a couple times. When I got to Enterprise, they showed me the reservation was for downtown DC. So they upcharged me from $260 to $410 for the same car. I will not use Dulles Enterprise again.

Great car, friendly staff
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful during pick up and drop off. Car was clean and fuel efficient.
Cons: Car speedometer was in kilometers instead of miles, meaning it took some calculations to ensure I was keeping to the speed limit.

Easy and Excellent
Pros: I had to rent a car rather last-minute, and this was the most stress-free and quick way I can imagine. Kayak gave me a great price, and the Enterprise service people were incredibly friendly and easy to deal with.
Cons: Reserved car on line with no problem using my debit card. Arrived at Avis, line was very long. Waited in line one hour to reach agent. At end of check-out process she told me my card we declined and she could not rent me a car. I was using my card frequently and it was never declined. She insisted she could not rent me a car because of a "soft credit check" by Equifax. So I went next door to Hertz and gave them my business.

Pros: The car was clean, new, and drop off was very easy.
Cons: The rental was over $125 more than quoted on Kayak. Waited in line for over an hour to be told that if I didn't like the price AVIS was giving me I could go to a different counter in the terminal.

Worked as advertised
Pros: Rented Ford Taurus. Drove from Washington DC to Miami and back without issues. Car was clean and functional. Got additional insurance through Kayak 3rd party at a fraction of the price that Avis would charge.
Cons: Comfort rating isn't a reflection on Avis, more about the long distance comfort of the vehicle itself.
Pick-up/Drop-off location at 1722 M street opens precisely at 7am. No early/late drop-off available.

Pros: The price was very fair, and having no drop fee for state-to-state rental was a very pleasant surprise! The employees at both pick up and drop off were very nice. The car was clean and trouble-free.

No cars available
Cons: No cars were available despite making a reservation and arriving on time. I noticed on multiple occasions that this location is understaffed (just one person at the front desk and one person at the car pick up site), and I experienced a 45 minute wait before I was told they could not provide a car. Alamo was less expensive if I took the car back to the airport instead of Union Station, and thankfully they had a vehicle ready.

Cons: You gave me a 7pm pickup time, but the rental place closed at 7pm on the minute. I was lucky and someone was still there and willing to help me, had I been a few minutes late, I might have missed them. Don't give pickup times at the same time as when they close!

I wouldn't do a Kayak rental again
Cons: Fortunately, a day before we left, I noticed that the pick up and return were not what I had specified in making the rental. Rather than being at the airport, they were at some other location in the D.C. area. When I called to change, I found out that there would be an additional charge and then the computer system shut down so I was told to call back. I went to Avis on line and was told that the reservation number was not associated with my name. I called again and cancelled. When I received the cancellation, it had the correct number, but was for some location in PA. I then used my Avis preferred number and made a reservation. Although $30 more than my original reservation, it was uneventful. I will never use a KAYAK arranged rental again!!
