Pros: Upgraded from compact car to a Mitsubishi Outlander, which was the only positive of our experience.
Cons: 20+ minute wait in line at Boston Logan, on top of 40+ minutes just for the associate to help us?!!! Their name tag said they’d been there for 15 years, but they were slow as molasses and had no care for us and did not make me feel valued. There were no Payless reps at their airport (what?!!!), so a random other person had to try and come help. When we FINALLY got our car over an hour later, we drove it 2 miles only to have an emergency notification come on saying “Pull over safely. Car will stop soon” WTF?! So we drove back, got back in line and waited 40+ minutes to be helped by another terrible associate who didn’t care about us. Once we finally got our second car, it was 2+ hours later and no one even apologized for the inconvenience. I already called customer service, and they said “oh okay we will get back to you in a minimum of 5 days”
Pros: Nothing great. Car worked fine that’s about it.

Cons: The car reeked of cigarettes and the seats had been spilled on with some sort of dark liquid. It took forever to get a customer service rep on the phone, I filed a complaint, and all I received in response was an e-mail saying they were sorry they had disappointed me.
Pros: The staff was fine and gave me an upgrade to a larger vehicle at the same rate, which was nice.
Cons: There were literally more than $84 in after-booking fees above and beyond the advertised total price, before including the optional insurance and toll pass -- in the end I paid three times the advertised price. Customer service was also very slow, not that I begrudge the employees there, just they were very understaffed. The car smelled like cigarette smoke that had been poorly covered up with cologne.

Cons: Our flight was changed to a red eye. Arrived at 5:30 am in Boston. Counter not scheduled to open until 7:00 am. At 7 , no one showed up. Waited 30 minutes before an Avis representative took pity on us. He, some how, was able to process our rental. At return there was no representative in the garage, only at the counter inside.
Pros: Nothing-didnt rent
Cons: I never picked the car up because your inefficient system let me book a car from a place that was closed before my airline arrived. And neither organization Payless, or you would do anything about it.

Pros: Pick up was easy, drop was unclear what you should do and there was one guy moving cars just shouting instructions.
Cons: Headlights were very dim and a little rain-x on the windshield would have been nice. Lots of glare on windshield with dim headlights made for a very unsafe return trip.
