I did like the drop off system, very easy and convenient. I wasn’t happy with not having enough signs telling me where to go at the terminal and also at the rental building, since I did the paperwork online. I had a car reserved for me but the clerk gave a different key and car, that slowed down the process of me leaving the building. I was told to confirm my Tesla Model 3 reservation at the 2nd floor counter and go to the 1st floor parking lot to find the E7 and go out. I looked around the 1st floor parking lot but couldn't find the Tesla vehicle in the Herz parking lot. As I was wandering around, an employee came up to me, looked at my documents stating that I had the E7, and said that the car would be delivered in 5 minutes, no, 3 minutes. However, after 10 minutes and no one showed up, I told another employee and only then did two people hurriedly drive out of the parking lot and bring the Tesla.Reviewed 23 Feb 2025

Our car smelled intensely of marijuana. Hertz was unwilling to give us a replacement. We went to three locations. It gave my entire family headaches and made us feel nauseous every time we drove it over a nine day period. Honestly, can't think of how it could have been a worse experience.Reviewed 31 Dec 2024

They literally had no cars available when we got there, had to wait in a long line and then they gave us a slip to go get an SUV and there were literally no cars available in the lot. The employees had been telling people to just get into whatever car they wanted. Happenstance that the first car that pulled up from being cleaned while we waited was an SUV.Reviewed 21 Oct 2024

Pickup was a nightmare. My flight arrived at 3:30pm. I wasn’t on the road with a car until after 4:45. That’s >75 minutes! And I followed their instructions for fast pickup or it would have been longer. Also they gave a spiel about MA law saying Hertz would charge us hundreds per day if their car was in an accident and insurance won’t cover it, basically forcing us to get extra insurance and doubling the price. We wanted to go to eastern CT. Never flying into Boston again. Besides that it was good: nice car, clean, easy drop-off.Reviewed 22 Aug 2024

Excellent! Fast, easy pick up and drop off and AMAZING customer service from Julio, they go above and beyond! Got my partner and I a Lyft home and ice cold bottled water - didn’t even have to ask! I showed up with a prepaid reservation, ID and forms of payment, and even went to the trouble of checking in online. I spent 2:30 hours in front of the counter and on hold with Hertz customer support before we finally figured out the issue their system was having and got me my car. It was an absolute nightmare. I booked my car for 48 hours, but when I tried to drop it off after 47 hours, I learned the drop off location had closed 30 minutes earlier. Because the location was closed at the expiration time of my reservation, they charged me an extra day It would have been nice, when I picked up the car, if they had pointed out that the return location was going to be closed at 5pm on Saturday, as I could have easily been there by the 4pm closing time.Reviewed 15 Apr 2024
