Wonderful area. No bar area
location could not control the room temperature as it was fall and the individual room air conditioning had been turned off in order for the building heat to be turned on. Subsequently, the rooms became too hot.
Clean and responsible staff, good bell staff. Very expensive given what it is. Wifi is horrible throughout hotel. 3rd party website logon problem that management had no idea about.
The room was compact but really well designed and stylish. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It didn't feel like just another chain hotel. The gym wasn't available which was very inconvenient for us but as it was being renovated it will be lovely when finished. It is a small space and there are no weights but good quality aerobic machines running and a cross trainer. Also there is a large park 5 mins up the road.
Crisp-clean, modern design, location A mirror and a shelf in a bathroom would be useful
The staff and the vaulted breakfast room. Sites and Metro are not close. I found it a bit difficult to get to these and I have stayed in Paris many times.
not much room too small, no faciliies, ocation not as expected
The staff were courteous and extremely helpful, rooms tidy and the beds were the most comfortable we have ever stayed in! We were in Paris for the weekend as a couple and had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Location is ideal and we would highly recommend to any friends/colleagues looking to stay in Paris. I dont like the 'room number' signs on the bedroom doors. That is literally the worst I can say about the hotel!
staff was very friendly however hotel infrastruture was not good the elevator hardly coulf git one person and room was extremely small as eell as the breakfast area
location and style of hotel
Staff. Clean. Location. Room a bit small. No morning coffee. No free breakfast.
Great modern decor in st Michel
Staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Rooms very clean and of a good size for Paris. Worth asking for a room with a veiw out over the skyscape of the city.
Very friendly staff. Gives a very personalised feeling during my stay.
the staff was very kind and the demand for a nice view was respected.breakfast was served at very practical hours and it was very nicely located.the elevator was really nice and aristocratic. our room was not ready by 5 pm in the afternoon by a mistake and the cleaning lady did not want to do it late in the afternoon. so we spent a night in another room and then we have changed it. but the staff has offered us the breakfast in order to compensate which was kind.
Location, helpful receptionists. Had to use antiquated, tiny, scary elevator or walk up a lot of stairs. Also, the street noise at night, yelling street people and motorcycles rushing by, was pretty bad.
Excellent front desk staff, especially the pleasant, very friendly and helpful Oriental lady at the reception counter..patient too, smiles a lot ( unusual in many French hotel staff) goes the second mile for guests.Clean and central, very walkable to many "must- sees" in Paris None that we can think of ...except the room would benefit from a refitting ( especially new wall paper) to match the bathroom which was a well renovated one.
The localization was perfect, it's vis a vis Sorbona and near Luxemburg Garden. In my triple room there was no coffe service and no ironing kit as they wrote in an offer.
Hotel location is very good, walking distance to Ils de la Cite, close to a Metro/RER station. Rooms are very clean and bathrooms are new.
Hotel staff was really very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very good. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned and the rooms are small.
Very bad experiences I got with that particular hotel, most guest been awaked from sleep at 3:00 O'clock in the morning by a defective fire alarm systems. Most of us been gathered at the hotel reception at a cold nightwearing only a light pyjama some half dresses !!!!! Nothing in particular even they been in shortage at breakfest with french baguetteand tea spoon , incredible !!!
Room was compact and had everything I needed. It was clean. Very good location. STaff were all congenial and pleasant. A single room that is as small as this one was can cause claustrophobia over ten days of stay. The bed was too near the window and when the weather was bad I was cold. You should offer larger rooms for singles on a longer stay. I would have been happy to pay extra but no one told me. I found it hard to hear cnn as it had a quieter audio setting than the other stations. More movies and interesting programs needed. Single people do not stay out late into the night so they some entertainment in their room for evening.
the staff were really helpful. the rooms comfortable the kettle did not work
The location is convenient to reach RER, but there are neither shops nor good restaurants in immediate proximity. The canteen is very small, the breakfast selection is poor.
Excellent location. Unwelcoming staf on day of arrival. LImited TV channels options. No "do not disturb" note in the room and maid entering without warning.
The Relaise Saint Jaques is a very fine well run hotel close to the Sorbon university in Paris and is idealy situated close to the Latin Quarter and the splendid Luxemburg gardens, The room was splendid with a good sized bathroom, and the staff on reception and the staff in the bufet breakfast room were very friendly and helpful all the time nothing was too much trouble. nothing i did not like.
The hotel is very clean and all of the facilities have been updated. On a very pleasant, tree-lined quiet street near the Luxembourg Gardens. The room was a bit small given the (French government-awarded) 4-star rating. The muzak in the hallways is very annoying. A shower curtain would help keep the bathroom from getting flooded. Internet service should be for 24 hours, not two hours.
the kindness of the staff the room was too small and uncomfortable to be a "superior double".
friendly staff. Situation of hotel. Small selection at breakfast.
The location and staff were great The hotel room was too hot.
Excelent location, silent at night, kindness and professionalism of staff, good room size, comfort. Breakfast should be included in the room rate.
Very polite personel and the position was good.
Location is very optimal and the stuff is very helpfull. Elevators
Wonderful friendly staff. The smallness of the establishment added to the warm ambience of the hotel. Recently refurbished so fresh and modern. So close to so many attractions. Loved the whole experience.
Nice, clean and quiet.....hotel staff very very helpful with questions and recommendations for restaurants etc....was also given an upgraded room which was very nice
The staff was absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful! The room was also very beautiful and comfortable! Everything was amazing! Would not change a thing!!
We appreciated the very helpful staff, and loved the convenient location. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. Can't think of anything negative. We'd stay there again!
The funky designs of the rooms. The interesting bar concept in teh evening of help yourself and honesty system It could have done with some music in the evening when the bar opened to add atmosphere.
The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It was modern, clean and had enough space to move around. The only thing that was a bit less than perfect was when I arrived at the hotel at around noon, instead of being greeted by the lady at the front desk- her first words were, "Oh, it is way too early for you to be checking-in." I knew that, and was fine to leave my bags, however it would have been more hospitable to welcome me to the hotel, take my information and let me know that they could accomodate my luggage instead of making me feel like I had inconvenienced her, or that I expected to go straight to my room.
We enjoyed our 2 night stay in Paris. The icing on the cake was our hotel which was a great base to explore (or get Lost) in the streets of the Left bank and the latin quarter. The Hotel staff where very helpful and courteous and we would definitely stay there again.
Excellent service, beautiful furnishings and finishes, great location.
Everything was perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us a lot in a few things that we needed assistance. The location was excellent, near RER/Metro station which could deliver you directly to CDG Airport and all the good spots of Paris. Very good design of breakfast/bar area. The room was a bit small but I guess that is a typical situtation with most Paris hotels.
The staff is incredibly hwelpful.
Central location, peaceful at night, helpful staff, reasonable sized rooms, good breakfast, good view of the Pantheon, and the fact that it is a small and welcoming hotel. Nothing.
Decor, location, comfort We were offered and accepted coffee & tea in the lounge area in such a way it gave the impression that they were complimentary but they were chargeable.
Very clean, good location, good breakfast, courteous service. couple of times, concierage had trouble getting us a taxi, causing us to miss a restaurant reservation.
The location and decor of the fifth floor room (51) looking out over the Pantheon and the square.
Great location, classy hotel, comfortable and beautiful room. I love that the hotel is smoke-free. This in a city where people smoke constantly and everywhere. We didn't try the breakfast but had a look at it and it didn't seem worth it for 12 euros. There are many cafes in the area which serve omelets and pastries and other delights.
location style size price and pm staff was wonderful no.liked it all but never ate the breakfast... wonderful patisserie nearby that staff didtn know of ..also a great restaruant nearby too that they never mentioned bu thtese were non issues
The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was limited and far too pricey at 13 Euro
The reception staff were very friendly and responded to all requests promptly and efficiently. The location is superb for those wanting to visit sights and shops. The room was a little small (but the bathroom was bigger than the bedroom?!?) and there was no 'bar.' Drinks were served in reception but there was nowhere to sit and talk comfortably.
very nice and friendly staff, rooms are amazing - great fun
The design of this hotel is 'uber trendy' and will appeal to anyone with a keen appreciation for interior design and futuristic gadgets! It is a great fun experience. The breakfast was delicious and good quality food with plenty of choice and fitted with the trendy style of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. The cocktails made at the bar were fab. The parking situation is very difficult at this hotel. You have to park at a city car park which is about 10 minutes in the car from the hotel (it is 5 minutes to walk but further due to the road structure of the city). It is not easy to find and we would strongly recommend asking the hotel for the parking address and printing a map before you enter Paris. Also, the hotel room did smell a little damp when we arrived and the nespresso machine was not cleaned.
Staff superb, excellent rooms, very different
The lightning in the room - glass bathroom + 3 showers Water came under the door to the room. Wet carpet
Location Specifically requested and contacted them for a double bed not two singles, upon arriving they gave us two singles, were too booked to exchange us till the next day and could only offer a mediocre room the following day. Not very impressed considering i had a verbal confirmation over the phone
Very good location! Right next to the jardim de luxembourg. Nice room, with a view - we could see the eiffel tower. Staff was very friendly, we were travelling with a small child.
very convient location, staff very friendly and helpfull.
I have a sweet spot for Luxembourg Gardens, so this hotel could not have been in a more perfect spot. Huge bonus, it's steps from RER B, so getting to and from CDG could not be easier!
The front desk staff were helpful and friendly and spoke English. Our room was small but comfortable with a little balcony that had a view of the Eiffel Tower which sparkled at night (on the hour... very magical). The location was perfect since we are great fans of the Luxembourg gardens. Breakfast was from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. and if you arrived after nine they did not replenish what they were serving.
The location is very good, 100 meters from a RER (train line that connects to the metro). Breakfast was ok. We were surprised in a negative way when we got to our room since the pictures from the site showed a better looking and newer room, however when we arrived it was not that way. When talking to the staff they said that the room we saw was in a category above the one we had paid.
Best location for sightseeing
Excellent location, very helpful staff, clean and bright rooms, excellent linens - we are satisfied absolutely. Nothing!
Central location Superior room was really only of a standard level.
Hotel in good location for left bank locations. Staff were helpful. Breakfast a bit disappointing if you don't get to the breakfast room early - the scrambled eggs were all gone!
Brilliant location, clean, friendly staff. Very old and shabby rooms. Asked for a non smoking room, but got a smoking room.
I really suggest taking breakfast in room. It's excellent and a better option than taking it at the crowded dining room. The room safe didn't work properly. They said they would fix it, but nothing happend and we didn't even get any feedback. When we left two days later it still wasn't working.
location clean cute and comfortable wifi worked fine despite some reviews there's no shower door = water all over the bathroom small rooms but was to be expected price was a bit high but it is a GREAT location
excellent location, friendly and polite stuff, fine decorated and clean room, completely correspond to the price.
Extremely nice and helpful staff. Always smiling and eager to help in any way possible. Attentive and reliable. Great great great location next to the Jardin and the room was clean at all times. The room was very small, even for single occupancy. Not that important if you are out and about in the city, but still, it is small.
The location is very nice for exploring Paris. We also liked the warm atmosphere in the Hotel lobby with a nice woodburning fireplace. Unfortunately, in our room (number 35) you smelled the fireplace in the lobby severely. Especially with the window open but als with the window closed. We found this very unpleasant to sleep in. Also the space for having breakfast is too small to handle all guests.
Nice, quiet location.helpful staff Beds a little firm but we slept fairly well
Great location can take RER from CDG and it drops you less than a block away. Nice fireplace in lobby lounge.
Clean, friendly, comfortable, convenient, and affordable.
The hotel has an excellent location. It's also very clean. I thought some staff members could try to speak a bit more in English, especially when someone asks for an information. I've got some answers in French, although I have asked in English. They also could have frigobars in the rooms. And they could offer free breakfast too. Of course I knew these before, but it could be a perfect hotel.
Good position next to the Sorbonne University Rooms are too small! Impossible to move into it
Great location and balcony. Quoted one price via email for 6th floor at 99e but receptionist denies all knowledge of this price even tho we had it in writing from them.Very small rooms with no tea or coffee facilities. Old bathrooms.
The staff were friendly, patiently answered questions even though we didn't speak French and gave unsolicited good suggestions (e.g., the strike may cause problems even after it is over and taking a cab to the airport would be a good idea). It was a little cramped, but that is why it is less expensive.
Very good location. Comfortable clean and simple Breakfast not included
The location of the hotel is excellent - right in the heart of Quartier Latin. 1 min walk from the Sorbonne university. Very clean and nice.
Location Tiny room (to be expected in Paris but still a challenge!). Noise from other rooms - plumbing and 'nocturnal' activity!
Its central location. Close to tourist attractions, metro, supermarket etc. Tea & coffee making facilities in our room would have been very welcome.
Staff were lovely and it's in a great location - next door to the Luxembourg gardens. Probably would br even nicer in spring/summer when the weather's warm but it was so cold we didn't get to hang about too long! The room we had was small (but so are most hotel rooms in Paris) and pretty basic but it was clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend it.
location excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful Nothing
The staff. They were helpful and patient with this non-French speaking American. The hotel at which I stayed in another region of France immediately before the Luxemborg reinforced the bad reputation that the French have. Thankfully, this trip ended on a good note with the staff here. In order to conserve electricity, the lights in the hallway outside my room were motion activated. Unfortunately, I think the motion detector was on the opposite end of my room, so whenever I left my room I had to walk in the dark until I got to the other end.
The staff understood we were on vacation, so they gave us very much information about tours, schedules, taxis, buses, etc. The room was comfortable and very clean with a safe box that gave us a lot of confidence. The bathroom was big. The distance to Sena river very short about 15 min walking. the room was little and the bathroom too big
we've stayed at this hotel many times and love the very polite, helpful staff, the service provided is perfect, and we love the location non, NOTHING!
Great Paris location next to the Jardin Luxembourg and Latin Quarter. Super easy access to the RER/Metro. Easy walks to various wonderful restaurants (Chez Marcel, Le Timbre, Les Papilles, etc). The staff was always very friendly, helpful, and accommodating (of our poor French). The hotel was restyled and is no longer an old classic 3 star hotel, but is trying to be a boutique hotel with limited success (style-wise). The rooms are very small (equivalent to a cruise ship bedroom/bathroom size).
location, perfect if you arrive from CDG with RER; staff images of the hotel rooms are not the same as the room you actually get
Very quiet and calm neighborhood. Cozy rooms. None
we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel for the following reasons its location it was easy to find close to rail station and close to a lot of attractions and tour bus pick ups The gentlemen at reception were very friendly and helpfull. The room was comfertable and quite at night and the breakfast was exellent but a bit over priced. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Our stay was too short would love to have stayed longer!!
Easy access from airport - very friendly staff and comfortable
The room was clean, the bathroom large, the staff friendly, and the hotel was still within walking distance of some of the central sites such as the Louvre.
The politeness of the staff, the location of the hotel
Great location Hard bed
The hotel has very good location, just outside the tourist-infested area of the Latin Quarter, where the environment is authentic. Transportation links are excellent too, the hotel is 2 minutes walk from the Luxemburg RER station. A really nice place to stay
Our room was spacious with a little sitting area. The toilet was separate from the bath. The bed was comfortable and the decor elegant. The staff was very helpful and efficient.
Very nice location close to the Pantheon.
Everything - clean, comfortable, big bathroom, nice decoration, helpful staff
Its location was superb. All the staff from duty manager, reception, breakfast room and housekeeping went beyond the call of duty...nothing was too much trouble..we were made to feel genuinely welcome. The hotel staff are the hotel's biggest asset. It was home from home. The lady who supervises breakfast Monday through to Friday is an absolute jewel...she is priceless! The hotel upgraded us and left us a bottle of wine on learning of my husband's 60th birthday..we hadn't asked for an upgrade etc!!!! I have great pleasure in stating that we had no complaints.
The location, the balcony on room60, the welcoming staff The 2 single beds masquerading as a queen sized bed
The room was beautiful and just what you think of when you think of a small, Parisian hotel. View of the Pantheon was fantastic and we wish we would have had more time to spend in the room enjoying it!
The location is great. The style and design of the rooms is outstanding. We found the staff to be most accomodating. On Saturday night there was great activity - drinking, partying, breaking of bottles - on the place in front of the hotel.
The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Every one tried to help in so many different ways. And everyone tried to speak English or spoke English very well. The hotel was in the course of renovation so I could not assess to what extent facilities that were not provided were absent because not yet there or would never be there.
very kindly staff, one free internet laptop at the entrance for quick googling, our family room (2 double room with a shared entrance) was excellent for us (parents and 13y + 15y kids) metro distance quite long (but bus stop just beside the hotel), TV equipment not worth to switch on
The staff was very helpful. The room was very clean. The breakfast was good. When it got hot, the air conditioning did not work. My room was very warm.
The room (superior double) was new, very clean, very romantic. We liked it so much. The position of the hotel is ok. Not all the staff was friendly (except the arabian (maybe) guy that was very cordial) and it speaks only french, even if they know english they rarely speak it. But we noticed that it is very common in France.
Front desk staff was very helpful with directions. The neighborhood is terrific, not touristy at all. The air conditioning broke down twice during our stay. The airport shuttle featured at the front desk took 3 hours instead of 1 and made us miss our flight. The hotel is no longer associated with Best Western.
This hotel is too expensive for Its quality. It is not a best western hotel. But the staff is very nice, the breakfast is ok and Its location is very good.
The room and bathroom are kept sparkling clean! The service: I asked for two pillows instead of the long very uncomfortable "roll" provided and for the heating to be turned on; despite smiling promises nothing was done to comply with either of my requests.
the manager paul was very helpful a proper gentleman the first room offered had three single beds which were only suitable for children, this room badly needed a make over
The service from the staff was exemplary. The location superb, would strongly recommend a trip down Rue Mouffetard, best market in Paris and some really good restaurants.
room was very small and in desperate need of refurbishment. We were positioned on the ground floor next to reception and it was quite noisy. We checked out a day early and went to stay elsewhere
The only really good things were the location and that there was free wifi. The front desk clerk when we checked in was good. There was construction going on and there were only 3 outlets in the room and one was not working. The room was very small and the shower head did not work well. The front desk clerk when we checked out was not friendly.
Location to transportation and very easy to get to all the sites They need to work on the breakfast set up and selections.
Excellent location! Nice neighbourhood Bedrooms are small (it's Paris!) and although we asked for a baby bed they had none. Also no iron but a dry cleaner close by
you cannot sleep in those beds and the space is so small you depress!
Excellent location and very attentive staff. Got very good restaurant recommendations. The room was quite small. There was no curtain in the shower.
The gentleman at reception was very helpful. There was no kettle or anything to make tea or coffee in the room.
The hotel staff was very helpful and location was convenient. Size of room was small, but expected for the city.
Located close to Parc du Luxembourg which was lovely, also some lovely boutique shops close by plus some late night eateries just up the road. We liked this place as it was peaceful. The rooms though as small but i think that is normal for Paris, the bathroom was nice, the bath small but that didn't bother us. And the bedroom had two sets of doors that opened up wide which was really nice with blackout curtains the ensured a good nights sleep. we slept well :)
Good staff, excellent reception,, Good knowledge of English. Simple but good sleeping accommodation.
Good and quiet location; very friendly and helpful staff
Location, Good access to Gardens, restaurants and train station
The location is the best just a few meters away from the jardin de luxembourg and a short 7 minute walk to boulevard saint germain, the shopping area of rue rennes and boulevard raspail. TBeing Paris as expensive as it is this hotel seems a fair option. The rugs in the roomshould be changed.
Location and friendly staff
Hotel staff was extrimely friendly and instructive. Only the price was set a bit high
The staff was friendly and accomadating. The telephone system was not veryunderstandable.
Perfect location; hotel has good atmosphere is comfortable and still relatively inexpensive; super quiet in the mornings even though on city street. nice cafes, breakfast places and everything just around the corner! internet access slow; concierge not very friendly sometimes
We had a very spacious room by Paris standards. Some rumbling noise from the metro.
extremely good location, very helpful staff, great for a stop while exploring the city. right above the metro line! We didn´t mind, but light sleepers might find it a problem.
Location was superb, close to Luxembourg gardens, convenience stores and transportation. Easy walk to Latin Quarter Room with Notre Dame at the foot of the street. An older hotel with smallish rooms that were quite satisfactory and with a staff that was helpful and efficient.
The room was quickly available even though I arrived early. The check-in procedure was efficient. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The location next to Luxembourg Gardens is outstanding; I was worried about street noise, but there was little
I hust slept there In the morning you could feel the smell of the kitchen...from the 5th floor, what was disgusting
everyone speak english.
It was very pleasant, comfortable and well located. Most the staff was very helpful.
The great location and the staff was really helpful.
location, cleanliness and price.
Great location in Latin Quarter roomsclean but tired. Good value for money in central Paris. Lift is not for the claustrophobic
The location is perfect. Right next to Pantheon, walking distance to st. michel, st germain, notre dam and luxemburg garden, metro station is also really close. There are plenty of cafes, bars and restourants around, and its extremely safe even at night. The hotel staff is helpful and speak english really well. The rooms got cleaned everyday, the bed was comfortable. The toilets & shower was really convenient. Overall it was an excellent stay. The room was a bit small, it wasn't a problem for us but it may be for someone else. Also the windows didn't get much light which caused the room to be a little dark. The breakfast was a little expensive so we didn't have any there.
Very good situated Breakfast was poor
Location.. But there are a million other hotels in the area. Only stayed there for a last minute 3bed. Old and run down. Noisy rooms. Not much to like about it aside from the friendly staff.
We liked that the hotel was located near Notre Dame and the subway. The Manager/desk clerk spoke English, was very friendly, and made us feel comfortable. He was very helpful getting a room ready for us in spite of our early arrival and helping us with dinner reservations. The noise from the street, small rooms, and the show drains in the showers.
The bed was somewhat comfortable. The lobby looked cute, but the rest of the hotel was disgusting. The hallways were gross, terrible looking carpet, scratched up walls. It was outdated. There a small TV in the room with satellite, but the satellite was never working. It was very noisy at night, hard to sleep even with the windows closed. Do not recommend.
good and central as in Latin quarters and walking distance to most monuments, shops, restaurants. Also close to a few metro stations-felt safe as good area. Room cleaned daily and fresh towels given. As was a couple on short city break suited ok as didn't spend much time in hotel except to sleep and shower. For a longer stay or if had a family would need to upgrade to more spacious, luxurious hotel. Room and shower very small!!! my husband couldn't fit in shower or move his arms very well when doors were closed and he is of standard size!!! Room and ensuite generally clean but top of toilet cistern could have done with a wipe and lid came with you when pulled up flush handle.Room was very warm but at least it was cool outside(Oct) so could open window(although could be noisy) , would be very uncomfortable in any heat.stairway and hallway carpet were disgusting- very grubby, stained and dirty, also very thin walls between rooms.
