Located in the "cheap hotel district" this is exactly what we were hoping for from our stay! Terrific location (next door to the main train station), clean hotel, nice staff with easy check-in/check-out process, and a breakfast buffet that gives you a little taste of what the food will be like! Enjoyed our stay! Rooms are small which we knew. Also, buffet does get crowded as others have mentioned but would recommend for a fine spread of bread, meat, eggs, and some fruit! Would also recommend bringing your own soap/shampoo.
location Room 331 had a foul smell coming from the bathroom.
comfort Too long time tjekking out
First time ever a hotel charges a guest for an empty plate.. 76 Dk.. unprecedented! Buying a plate and cutlery would have much cheaper. It's cheap for a hotel under this marriottt flag to be as cheap.
This is the perfect hotel for you to use if you are planning on getting to the Copenhagen airport. The Central Train Station is a very short walk from the hotel where you can pick up a train that will deliver you to the airport in three, short stops. The hotel's location is also great if you want to go to Tivoli Garden and enjoy the downtown restaurants or walk around on the pedestrian streets. Overall, the hotel room was very clean and the room was sufficiently large so that you're not crowded. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. A small safe was provided for storage of items you don't want out in the open. An early breakfast starting at 6:30AM was provided as part of the room cost which worked well for us before starting on our trip back home. The breakfast had everything you would want, including hot service such as eggs, cold cut meats, bread, yogurt, etc. Well done! I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Copenhagen. There were only two, small things that I didn't like about the hotel; the lack of soap for the shower and their system of storing bags should you arrive before your room is available. Usually, hotels will provide a hard bar of soap you can take into the shower or else provide a dispenser for a body wash liquid in the shower. In this case, there was no hard soap available and the body wash liquid dispenser was outside of the shower over the sink requiring you to open the curtain and lean out. Not a big deal. Their storage of your bags if you arrive early is a little curious. The front desk will take your name and check on your room's availability. In the meantime, if you want to store your luggage, the hotel will give you a key card that allows you access to a luggage storage room. You retain this key card until you are formally checked in. Once checked in, your room key will also open the luggage storage room. Unfortunately, everyone else who arrives early also gets a key card. Thus any luggage you've placed into the storage room is now open to everyone else who also gets an access card while waiting for their room as well as those who have a room card. I would think that controlling the access to the "luggage room" to only hotel staff would make more sense from a security perspective.
No Air Conditioner!?! At the very least, a hotel needs to have Air Conditioning. There was a fan in the room!!
The location eight next to the train station When we arrived after an overnight flight, feeling very tired, the hotel computer was down and we had to wait for a coup[e of hours in the lobby for it to be fixed. The hotel should have made some sort of small gesture to compensate us for this. Also the breakfast included thawed frozen fruit which had turned rancid one day. The next hotel in Bergen had FRESH fruit. like melon, cantaloupe and kiwi. was was cut up and delicious.
The staff was very professional and helpful. While the hotel was very nice, you could easily hear noise from the hall and other rooms.
Location was good Noisy hallway Noisy neigjbours sewer smell in room Tiny room Mattrass felt too soft and had a big trough in the middle, like it was very old.
Great location near main train station. Good included breakfast. Very quiet and comfortable The heated towel rack in the bathroom did not work.
the room is perfect and the service is very good, the location is not as good as we expected we got a bad expereince on payment, the old man made mistakes on payments,he deducated 1080DKKS moe from our credit card, and until now,we still busy on it
Staff was great, let me check in earlier. The bar in the lobby area has wine hour from 5-6. Location is convenient to many restaurants and attractions in the city. Have stayed there a few times and the rooms and bathrooms can vary from very small to oversized. Can be a bit pricy.
We received an email prior to checking in asking what time we would arrive . We explained 10 am due to leaving cruise ship they said no problem we will have your room ready . When we arrived they had no knowledge of letter and no room until late afternoon and a lobby full of people. They asked if they could put us in another hotel. We agreed. The location was not nearly as good . They double charged us for a room. It was hot . No hvac on top floor. Very dirty carpets and furniture. No wake up call as requested .
IT WAS A VERY GOOD PRICE AND LOVED THAT IT WAS WALKING DISTANCE TO TIVOLI, THE TRAIN STATION AND HOP ON HOP OFF BUS. STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. LOVED THAT THE BUILDING IS OLD BUT VERY WELL KEPT UP. IT RAINED THE FIRST DAY OF OUR STAY ! :-)
Location Not really
That I was there only one night. Lack of doors that locked.
Excellent location, friendly staff, a diverse breakfast menu. No air conditioning, church bells till midnight, small room. Our friends didn't get breakfast with the room and they paid as much as we did. When I booked it was not an option. Breakfast is expensive if you have to add it. The room is furnished in Danish modern. You have to side step between the bed and the wall.
Hip and trendy designer atmosphere and friendly staff. Good evening buffet is a good alternative to expensive restaurants. The rooms (especially the single rooms) are rather small and hence inconvenient for a stay of more than 2 or 3 days.
All good, location & great staff.
It was tired, dirty, and desperately clinging to some sort of old prestige which has long passed. Good location though. Dirty, fairly abrupt staff, needs redecorating.
The hotel is very nice inside, the staff was friendly and relatively quick to serve you. The hotel was located right in the center of the city, so far everything is a short walk. The hotel appeared clean, it was beautifully decorated with fall decor when we stood there. The rooms themselves were clean with no odors or anything like that. Overall the hotel was a good experience. The hotel rooms were nice but they were a bit small. Our room faced a brick wall so there was no view, nada. When we got to the hotel at 4pm they told us that the room wasn't ready, which was annoying. Aside from that our experience at the hotel was pleasurable.
facility and location the hotel was not in full capacity in low season. the room given to us was all the way in the back next to the dumpster with utilities view. When requested a different room with a more decent view, received the same response of having no other room in the same category and requested higher price for a different room. My reservation was not cheap, and i don't think is fair to be in an unpleasant room when the hotel has available capacity to make its guests´stay pleasant.
We were told that if we waited from noon till three we could get a room with a better view (from a higher floor). We got a room on the 10th floor--view was very good. The room was by far the smallest we had in Helsinki, Ivako, Bergen & Oslo. For two there was only one chair. It seemed to be a single which was turned into a double.
The breakfast The room
