Convenient location We were downgraded rooms and charged the same amount.
It was very loud; lots of LED lights that you had to creatively cover; and staff gives conflicting information about the no housekeeping $10 credit.
The hotel is conveniently located in the city The cost of the room was very high. I was willing to pay the price but, my expectations were set high for such a small non-view room.
Bed was comfortable, room was very clean and nicely furnished. Missing some basic things like luggage rack. Hotel lobby desperately needs basic amenities like a chilled water dispenser (coffee is nice but it's hot outside!!!)
Clean with nice shower. Small, no fridge, microwave, coffee maker, anything. Expect to pay for everything extra.
Nothing except its location 1- Staff aren't friendly. 2- The furniture and the bed sheets are so dirty.
Such great staff! So helpful and they anticipated every need. A great experience!
Raoul and the other breakfast servers were excellent The carpet in my room1504 seemed old and dirty
The hotel was clean and the staff very nice and helpful. I didn't like the lack of parking specifics when booking the hotel. We were confused when we got there because there is a parking garage next to the hotel that the hotel uses but it was unclear if you go into the hotel to do this or just park in the garage.
Lovely hotel for great price on Michigan Ave. It's close to everything cool in Chicago. Staff was friendly, and was helpful. When I forgot my toothbrush they were able to find one for us. The rooms were clean and well put together.
Nothing. Room was really small. Room was run down. Dirty. Overpriced. Staff was not helpful when they gave us the wrong room (one even yelled at us).
Location on Michigan Ave is perfect, price is good Really late check in (5pm), slow elevators, noisy hallways, outdated rooms, no free wifi
Great made to order buffet. Parking was difficult to find and cost $37.00 per day. The evening reception drinks were great but the food was not. Room was great. Staff were very helpful. Overall, very pleased with the stay.
Very good location Hotel wasn't nearly as nice as other embassy suites I have stayed at.
Friendly staff and clean facility No complaints
Not convient. Poor service
Nice hotel, casual and comfortable. Great breakfast. Very convenient to Navy Pier. Would definitely reccomend to friends and would stay here again.
Staff was very helpful and we were able to get a later checkout upon our departure, which was nice and allowed to kids to swim for a bit before we left. Check in and out was easy, and parking was easily accessible. The price on the all inclusive Disney kids on Demand TV package I order did not reflect what was charged to my bill. It was only a difference of $2.99 and ultimately not a big deal, but still, I feel as though you should be paying what you are quoted. Also, being that it was a holiday weekend, it would have been nice if breakfast was open until 10 as it is on the weekends, but I get the weekend vs. weekend schedule. The lines were a bit long by the end of breakfast and early breakfast is always hard to do with my kids. But again, not a huge deal in the whole scheme of things. We will definitely be back.
Located close to shopping and conference centers Amenities are average
Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Enjoyed happy hour each night.
Stayed here Dec 12-14, 2014, this was our 2nd time staying here due to close proximity to Navy Pier's Winter Wonderland. Last year the Manager's reception offered better appetizers, seemed to be a bit cheaper this year. Staff is wonderful and room was really clean. We had an issue with the thermostat, it was almost 80 degrees the whole stay. The kids love it here, it's really family oriented. They seemed to like swimming in the pool better than Winter Wonderland, they made several little friends during our short stay. Will probably be back next year, we love it here.
Great location and comfortable rooms; breakfast was an awesome surprise in variety and quality Room service was slow, rooms not super clean and could definitely do without the lobby dance music during the day when kids were napping
Every thing is good
The location is fantastic. It is great for sightseeing and shopping. The room was comfortable and modern. The beds were comfortable. The staff on check-in were not very friendly. The room was not equipped with a coffeemaker and should have been. The elevators are small and no one offered to help us with taking our luggage to our room. We had asked for a baby crib to be placed in the room on our reservation special requests and when we checked in, we were told there was no crib in the hotel. However, the staff ensured that a crib was delivered to the room immediately.
The location for us worked but the bathrooms need more space for storing cosmetics, toothbrushes, The showers sprayed water all over the floor and is a bad design. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would return if the price stays lower as others in the area. same above
the size, cleanliness of rooms was a great value for price. did not like the fact that housekeeping knocks on your door at 8am if you did not put do not disturb sign up.
should have free wi-fi
The very comfortable bed. There was no counter top or shelf in the bathroom for storing personal items such as toothbrushes and travel bag of toiletries.
The front desk was so nice and helpful! I would definitely recommmend this hotel to friends and stay here again!
Convenience of location, quietness of location, beds, comforters and pillows quite comfortable, staff quick to respond Bathroom: design flaw allows shower water to immediately drain onto floor, which has no drain; sink counter won't hold soap; inadequate # towel racks.
We had a great time.It was really comfortable and had the best ubication! We will recomend it! Front desk personel at night must improve!!
EVERYTHING, THE SERVICE WAS THE BEST AND THE BATHROOMS LARGE AND BEAUTIFULLY DONE. NICE TOUCHES EVERYWHERE! NOTHING
Great location across from Saks and neiman marcus. Hotel gorgeous, bright, elegant in public areas, very comfortable and luxurious room and bathroom
I would guess that most people who gave this place a positive review have never stayed at trump. For the same price trump offers a vastly better experience and much more comfort. The gym and spa at trump make this place look like a spa from rural Cambodia. Rooms were an ever so slightly better version of the Conrad. No pillow menu. No glacier water. No espresso machine in room. No microwave or stovetop with dishwasher( all present at trump). And no cake with gold leaf on it for my birthday!!!
I've stayed at several nice hotels in Chicago and this is by far my favorite. Very comfortable, tastefully decorated, incredible A-V/home automation controls. This was the perfect home-base for a multi-day business trip. The atrium also had a splendid Sunday brunch with string quartet. Couldn't be better
Really enjoyed how friendly everyone was towards us especially since we were a young couple there and the staff told us good morning and everything each day and always had a smile on their face I can't really say I didn't like anything about the hotel or service. The only thing was it was a little expensive for us. Other than that everything was excellent
Beautiful room. Inpecable service
I took my 5 year old to see Chicago. I love the quiet of the hotel. The staff was great. You get what you pay for.
Fabulous service, fabulous food, fabulous room. I can't recommed this hotel highly enough!!
Beautiful hotel, very enjoyable. Neither Booking com nor the hotel warned us that a change in the reservation, leaving a night earlier, would result in an increase in the quoted daily rate. We were only told that cancellation was required 24 hours in advance without penalty.
It was an elegant, comfortable weekend at one of the best hotels anywhere. Nothing
I liked the location of the hotel, and also enjoyed the updated decor of the hotel. The bedding was excellent! Very important to me.... it was clean and luxurious. The bath rooms also were in excellent condition. It did meet my standards. (Extremely picky) I did not like that we had to go to the 12th floor to get to reception.
Staff concierge where excellent Rooms noisy Parking fee No coffee in room
Location, friendly staff, and having NoMi on property
It was in the heart of where we wanted to be. Beautiful hotel and the staff was great and very accommodating.
Very modern and classy.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Beautiful hotel, friendly professional staff. Was asked if we'd like to upgrade for a small fee and was pleasantly surprised with a corner room with an excellent view of Chicago. Expensive valet parking. Probably not the hotels fault. Seems to be a Chicago problem. Although expensive, it was very quick and simple so we chose to pay the price.
The bathroom and location
Hotel was quiet, we were able to check in early (which we didn't anticipate), and it was a fantastic location to the Mag Mile.
First room was just under a ballroom (noisy). Second room was also noisy from HVAC. Staff was not helpful; opted to leave hotel mid-stay. Terrible.
This is one of us experience I've ever had at a hotel they double booked my room charging your upgrade fee without telling me and cancel my birthday.
One of best five star hotels I've ever stayed at in Chicago. Amazing cust service, comfortable beds, huge room and bathroom No view in the room
Location was great! The rooms are comfortable and bathrooms are very nice
Lack of comfortable lounge area in the bar area. Years back there was a very ample lounge area for either for couples or larger groups. Too bad they eliminated it. I am also glad the re-opened the pool early.
Is the best, perfect ubication
From the moment you pull up in front of the InterContinental you know you've made a wise choice. A friendly, suited doorman opened the cab door and welcomed us into the beautiful lobby decorated with a 4-story Christmas tree. We checked in and an exceptionally friendly clerk, Mariana, made sure we were given a quiet corner room, per our request. Our room was clean, spacious, and newly renovated - but not overdone. The wi-fi was fast, the bathroom toiletries lovely, and the room was quiet. Stop and see the pool -- it is the original, and its gorgeous. How often do you see chandeliers over a swimming pool that once boasted Esther Williams as a swimmer? Best of all, the location. Between Ontario Street and the Chicago Tribune, right before the river -- perfect! When we stepped off the elevator the rug was worn and shabby. This was our only complaint about the decor.
Location is great, staff professional and helpful. Room was cramped, room service breakfast was HUGELY expensive not to mention over cooked and arrived cold. And who chose the hall carpet? No one in my party could understand the choice. Unattractive and at first glance looks as though it is worn and needs replacement. Not a great impression.
This Intercontinental is in a great location on the Magnificent Mile. The rooms are spacious and the bed and bathrooms are nicely updated. The pool was very nice as well. I would recommend the valet if you are staying a over 24 hours they have a flare rate and you can leave and come back. Parking around the area is just as expensive but you can't leave and comeback. They also gave me late checkout of 2 PM.
Checked in at 7:00 PM and assigned room had not been cleaned and still had previous guests things in the room. After trips up and down with luggage, another room assigned.
Pretty hotel with nice location Thin walls. Noisy halls. Some staff friendly but others not. Got a good deal but wouldn't pay full price for tiny room. Bathroom needs updating/ more thorough cleaning (shower curtain ripped and some mold on end of shower curtain rod)
Location, staff, great pool and work put facilities. We were able to walk where ever we needed to go. Architecture is beautiful. Great place to stay. Comfortable rooms, nice view. We loved our stay and will go back. Need a better coffee maker. Small microwave in room. Fridge for your own soft drinks. Mini bar was very expensive
This hotel has a long history and floor plans are quirky but the rooms are remodeled and modern. Our room in the historic tower had a 31st floor view that happened to have windows facing 3 different directions for a 270 degree view from Michigan Avenue to Lake Michigan (I think it was the only one on the floor with that expansive view). Minibar charges when we didnt use anything is always really annoying. I would have hoped a nice hotel like the Intercontinental wouldn't have this issue.
The location was top notch in a historic building- it was pointed out during our architectural boat tour! Our room's windows were inches from a brick wall which made me feel very unsafe. No notice that it was an interior rom when we booked. In addition, we could hear the wedding reception going on below. Sure this hotel has plenty of rooms, but do you really want to chance it that you will be placed in one without a window?
location need sound proof windows,,,,could hear sirens all night
Great location Dirty bathtub, lights out in bathroom of room 541
Location and decent sized, clean rooms. We booked day of stay and got a good rate. I would actually rate it a 3.5, but I didn't have that option. Extremely uncomfortable, stiff sheets.
The best part is that the Merriot is in the "heart of the city". Offsite parking.
This hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a stay in Downtown Chicago. Imposing structure, bustling atmosphere, and lofty prices. The central location couldn't be beat and the view provides you a look at the city no matter which direction you face. Room was clean and modern. After some initial difficulties, a new room was provided and sorted out with a credit to be used with breakfast (delicious breakfast, but expect to be charged the Chicago price for it). The price for staying directly on the Magnificent Mile shouldn't be surprising. The lobby was constantly occupied and persistently loud, which also is indicative of a stay in Chicago. The initial room assignment seemed to belong to another individual as there appeared to be clothing in the closet and a suitcase laid out when the door upon a very brief inspection from the cracked door. After informing the front desk, a new room was quickly assigned...but only one of the two keys ended up working. After our final trip to the front desk, we were in better shape and the breakfast the next day was delicious. The room was by no means spacious, but exactly in what you'd expect from Chicago standards. Don't forget you'll be paying for parking, which is at least simplified by the ability to charge to your room.
It is such a big hotel I found it chaotic especially with several different events going on. Crowds of people, lots of noise. Just too big a apace for me!
Great newly updated rooms and incredible gym that puts many Health Clubs to shame. Room Svc leaves a bit to be desired but luckily they're located in great proximity to many great restaurants.
Great location, great staff No fridge or microwave
Location Old, small rooms, poor plumbing. It's an embarrassment for Marriot. Don't stay here
I arrived 2am and there was no reservation and the company never told me there was a problem with my card. Spend until 4am getting another reservation for next day and then arrived and there was no reservation again. They ruined my entire business trip. had to spend half day looking for another hotel. The first night Marriott accommodated me in a room that was not what I expected. At least had a place to sleep. They were kind and very helpful, but the room I got was not what I expected. But It wasn't hotel's fault was getaroom.com fault.
Please get Keurig coffee pots in each room
Location , location and location Extremely crowded and very noisy ( possibly because NHL draft weekend) - it was almost like a busy fish market with so many people crammed in the lobby.. we had hard time navigating through the crowd to reach elevators on both days. Parking is another pain we had to deal with - primarily because of location . Amenities in the room are nothing to boast - but very comfortable bed ( typical Marriott) ...
Full size mattresses sold as queen size
Everything!!!! Cost of parking.
we were delightfully surprised to find that the hotel had a free "shuttle" when we were headed out for dinner. It really wasn't a shuttle …. more like a very nice, well dressed young man driving a nice sedan to our location. A great touch! The doorman was awesome as well. Very personable, approachable, and helpful.
friendly and convenient ,
The art collection was great. The noise traveled into the rooms from the hallways. It was very easy to hear my neighbors going in & out of their rooms in the morning.
The location of the James is ideal for visiting the River North area. The room is clean, reasonable size, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Even on the 17th floor, there was a lot of street noise. We could even hear the saxophone player at the corner of Rush and Ohio! We also had a charge for the room honor bar that was added to our bill even though we did not use it. Watch your receipts!
Loved that we could pop in and out of shops and bars and be close enough to our room to drop of bags. I didn't like the parking fee and noticed it was overpriced compared to other lots in the area. The hotel should include this or offer a discount.
The location is great. Just a block off of Mag Mile if you are there to shop. Trader Joe's across the street if you want to buy snacks/water for the room. Close/walkable to downtown (Loop) and River North neighborhoods. The staff was great and my wife loved the bathroom products (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) THIS HOTEL IS NOT 5 STAR. Kayak has it listed as 5 star and it is not. Closets are very small...only a couple of feet wide. Not a lot of drawer space. If traveling on business, not easy to work in room.
Such a great visit. Welcome, helpful staff willing to do whatever they could to make my stay great. Room was very comfortable, loved the bed!
I really loved/liked and grateful we were able to check in early when we arrived early in the morning after our flight. I think it's well worth it especially because we were staying only one night. For my taste, I liked the contemporary classy decor and atmosphere. The atmosphere in our room felt romantic. The king size bed and the comfort of the bed and linen was awesome for my taste. I especially liked the room my friends were staying in. They had a little movie projector room. We paid the same price but they were staying there a little bit longer than we were. But I did like their room. Staff was very friendly and informative when asked about recommendations of transportation and location of places nearby. Me personally, and just my opinion, we weren't too fond of the shampoo/conditioner and body wash scents.
Friendly staff. Great rooms
Really enjoyed the stay here, very comfortable and a great location for the price. I needed to make a last minute update to stay a few more nights as my travel was cancelled due to weather. The employees were extremely helpful in letting me keep the same room and at the same rate. Stayed on the same floor as the pool, so some noisy kids were expected
I have been a Marriott guy for some time and had the opportunity to stay at an Omni Hotel in Dallas and decided to give it another try in Chicago because my Dallas experience was so good. They are a true class act! Nothing!
Concierge, door men excellent. Paying for with fi? Really...at these prices? Terrible. $10.00 to use 15 min. Had no idea. Showed up on statement. Housekeeping fine first night but 2nd night left our duvets on floor and when we called to report they actually asked what we would like them to do about it. After telling them we wanted some new duvets a maid came and complied. Next day we returned to find all of our pillows with shams gone...not a functional problem since we still had pillows to sleep on but since they are part of the decor we weren't sure what that was all about. They were on the bed when we left that morning. Overall the room was quiet but I think we could do better next time. Hotel being renovated so maybe the reno rooms will blow you away...ours did not. Other than housekeeping staff the rest of staff was helpful but could have been more accommodating when we missed a night of our reservation due to being snowed in at airport in philly and unable to get there. If they couldn't refund a night of our pre paid room we thought we might have recd a complimentary night in future. They told us to ask price line about that but price line pushed it back to them...
Beautiful hotel, great location. Very pleased with our stay. And very close to the red line.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Omni with are 1 year old twins. The staff was more than accommodating. Everything from gift bags for the girls to bringing up a microwave and refrigerator. We will be back!
Location, personnel, accommodations. Welcoming and relaxing.
Location is great. Staff helpful.
Free gym, pool and jacuzzi use. Three free cups of coffee and tea. Great staff. King size bed was awesome and the room was really nice No free WiFi in room, just lounge area. Pool and jacuzzi were closed, which was a real disappointment since it was one of the major reasons why I chose the hotel. My view wasn't great but I understand it's kind of a thing that's out of my control.
Brenda served us for breakfast most days. She was a the best. Always attentive friendly. Took care of us well. Our last day we had a different waitress and our order wasn't right, we couldn't get her attention and had to get a manager in order to get our check. When you go for breakfast in the fabulous restaurant, ask for Brenda. Loved the green drink with Apple, spinach and ginger. It was really good.
The hotel was nice overall but a few experiences totally ruined our trip. First off, it's the middle of the summer and the air conditioning in our room wasn't working. So we had to sleep in an 80 degree room. Next we found a massive blood stain on the comforter that someone tried to wash but it never came out. Absolutely disgusting! There was also mild in the shower which again goes to show the rooms are NOT clean. There was also very little lighting in the room and most did not even work. For over $300 a night do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Courteous and friendly staff. Location is excellent for shopping. I definitely would return to stay again.
The location was within walking distance to Everything. The hotel was very comfortable.
The people at Wyndham were so helpful making sure everything was perfect for us! No.
Service was amazing. Location was awesome!
The staff was very helpful and freindly. The room was clean and very nice located near a lot of shopping. Our stay was very enjoyable and we will stay here again soon.
I liked it all
The rooms were very clean, as was the gym. The location is within a short walk of most anything you'd might like to experience on a short trip to Chicago and yet the hotel is on a side street that keeps the nights stay quiet. Here's the thing: The Hyatt hotel is immaculately clean, provides comfortable bedding, has a large, clean Gym, and is near most of the things that I would want to do in a short period of time in Chicago... So why two? Because these are the things that any hotel should have. Saying these things are a perk of the Hyatt is like saying or Raven has the perk of being especially black- it's a raven, of course it's feathers are black- The problem here is that the photography and the advertising of the hotel makes it appear to be something that it is not: it is not a stunning luxury property. It does not have an incredibly intuitive and beyond accommodating staff, and it is not a property that includes the kind of accommodations that I'd expected when I had originally booked my stay. More on par with a comfort inn, or Marriott courtyard, then a main-name property such as JW Marriott, Hilton, or Westin, this "Hyatt" seemed bare-bones and disorganized. Two rather slow elevator trips separate you from any convenience of entrance and exit- The room was not ready when I arrived and the option suggested to me in compensation was a larger suite that featured less beds then I requested and came at an additional cost, as that was my fault my room was not ready, and as if if I would prefer to pay more for something that offered less than what I had asked for. At any class hotel, I wouldn't have been upgraded, and I would have been upgraded at cost to the property. The bathrooms, while clean, were adorned with showerheads that looked like they had been purchased in a 1986 apartment building resale auction and worked about as well as an exposed drain pipe I once showered beneath in Thailand. Parking is a full $24 per day more expensive than the majority of the garages around the area, which for the life of me I can't understand why, and the valets took nearly 15 minutes more than they had suggested to retrieve my car when requested, and did so in such a manner that the majority of things I keep in my trunk had shifted- and believe me for someone who drives as aggressively as I do without cause for such an occurrence- this can only lead me to believe that the valets thought perhaps they were in a stock car race. overall, it's not so much that I dislike to my stay at the Hyatt- it's that being in Chicago native company, and a highly rated hotel, with a main branch name, I genuinely expected to be walking into a situation that was just one star more professional than what I received- and the Accumulation of one experience after the other constantly coming in just slightly less than what it should have been found me leaving the hotel with a fairly negative taste in my mouth, not for the stay that I received, but for the complete and underwhelming lack of what I had expected. My suggestion- if you were going to stay 20 minutes outside the city at some discount hotel, this place is better. But if you want the downtown Chicago experience, don't even look in this direction
The air conditioning. Our room was not ready at check-in. The bed skirt was torn and stained. The in-room movie played very poorly. The staff was unfriendly.
Close to shops at magnificent mile Pool was small and not kid friendly. A 16oz pop was $4 plus tax at hotel store
It is located in a good location with walking access to some of the most significant spots of Chicago. They charge you for every packange that arrives for you at the hotel. Be careful because sone packages will get lost.
The cookies Being stingy with the cookies
Clean, helpful staff, good location and overall value. I wouldn't say it's old, but some of the decor and appointments are outdated.
Good Service and when we needed something we got the service with a smile Stuart Bagley
Close to many downtown activities at a fair price The room could have been cleaner
Parking is $55 per day
The pool Big yellow stain on carpet Bathroom light wouldn't stay on and flickered the whole time Wasn't able to get ready in bathroom and made showering very interesting to say the least We would have changed rooms but we were running late to my birthday plans Complained in the am and they said they could do nothing bc I didn't book they them directly. I was very upset how the manager handled the situation We spent $240 on a one night stay for my birthday and cookies were offered but with attitude
Friendly staff, very helpful. No USB port in room.
The hotel was clean, staff were friendly (and Elisabeth especially, she was awesome!!), location was perfect. I really don't have one bad thing to say about this hotel or our stay. Great job. Nothing!
Went up to Chicago to catch a craft beer festival. The hotel was very accommodating, helping us take our many, many, manyou cases of beer and two tiny bags of luggage to our room. With the convenience of in and out parking and even providing plates when our pizza was delivered made our short stay amazing. Would definitely stay here again City garage parking is sooooooooo expensive!
location, price are great room was very comfortable, but not as clean as we would expect, in fact cleanliness was our only "ding".
The staff from the front door staff set the tone of excellence and was carried by all staff of this wonderful hotel! Excellent value and perfect location....will be back!
The service was great and the roof top bar was also pretty wonderful. I had no problems with this hotel at all, I enjoyed my stay all around.
The hospitality staff were incredible! Provided my sister and I with great information, scheduled us for a cruise that was truly informative, and obtained a dinner reservation on short notice. I can't say enough about how helpful and welcoming they were.
Excellent location right next to shopping on Michigan Ave. Many great restaurants are walking distance. Nice view in the heart of downtown. Great affordable rates. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Our 2 year old daughter was giving hugs to the front desk associates when we would leave. Highly recommended!!! No pool. Breakfast was not included and breakfast buffet was 14.99 per person.
Almost everything was pretty great Carpet was a little off putting
I've stayed here multiple times over the last few years, and the last couple visits have been mediocre. Check-in has taken too long, staff has been cold and sometimes borderline rude, and the rooms seem to be in an increasing level of disrepair. I think this might have been my last stay at MileNorth. Bummer because the location is great for my typical visits. Check-in. Rude-ish staff. Rooms need maintenance.
The bed was comfortable This hotel is in serious need of remodeling! There is signage (28th floor near the elevator) with blended jagged edges. The filers in the room need to be cleaned. The bathtubs have caulking with gaping holes everywhere and the carpet needs cleaning. There are layers of cobwebs all over the windows and in the business area of the room.
Great, spacious hotel room. Very clean. The TV did not work.
The location was excellent. Right off of Michigan Ave. The beds were comfortable. The hotel needs some updates. The only thing that made it 'Hip and trendy" was the decor. We could see the light from the hallway shining through into our room because the gaps between the walls and the door was ridiculous. It was a built in night light. No information about the hotel was in the room either. Didn't know who to call or where to get anything. Glad we didn't pay more than what we did. And by the way, the tacky, shiny, red wall paper in the bathroom was terrible. =]
Good size for the price. Great king sized bed, good views even on the fourth floor. Cafe/bar was great - very good coffee. Location is perfect. Right next to Michigan avenue. The revolving door is a little heavy.
The room was great! Much bigger than we expected, and had a nice sitting room and desk area in addition to the (very comfortable!) bed. Neat rooftop lounge, great place to go grab a drink and enjoy the view. Staff was very friendly, and you absolutely can't beat the location. My only complaint is that there were a lot of issues with the elevators being broken the last couple days. Usually at least one was functional, but with a lot of traffic flowing up to the rooftop bar that wasn't quite enough, and it's not fun taking the stairs to the higher floors!
Lobby is nice. Rooms are nice. Parking right across the street at the hospital. Location is great for shopping.
Fantastic location, and the staff is very friendly. It's gotten quite shabby.
It was so comfortable! And the staff did all they could to make it more so. We arrived at 6 AM after driving through a storm. They found a room for us right away so that we were able to test before our meeting. The concierge was available evenings and weekends, and was able to advise us about the best way to use our time. Nothing
Great location, but the whole is a little worn out.
The staff members were very friendly, helpful and professional. The building is in a great location!
Had a meeting at Ditka's. Great staff, comfortable room, quiet. Great location. Enjoyed Ditka's radio show too!
Staff was very nice and helpful. Never did we feel like we were bothering them with questions. The site was clean, well maintained. I would stay there again. The location is great if u are a tourist without a vehicle. We used the bus for everything. It is near the bus lines. Great hotel.
The best I would say is, great location, nice staff and nice bed. Spoiler alert. Don't read this if you got a great rate and don't want to be persuaded not to stay. It's an old building. What Tremont really needs to do is spend a lot of money and gut out old plumbing etc. New carpet and a nice bed doesn't, a nice room, make. They really tried to help us but when you come in to a room, the toilet and sink need to work. People really demand this of the hotel they stay at and on the third attempt to make the toilet work properly they switched our room. Our travel companion's a/c wasn't working either. The place doesn't need to look Ritz, but it does need to function. Sorry Tremont, I think you intend to do right by your customers. Good luck.
Had some water in one area of the carpet next to the bed. Not sure how it got there
Nothing I've never stayed at some hotels like this!! No warm water for shower!! We reported the problem to front desk, and they said they would fix it, if not, they can change room for us. After we got back to hotel at night, they told us it's fixed. When I turned on the water, it was too cold to take a shower!!! And they even told us we cannot change room because all rooms were full! That's ridiculous. Definitely don't book this hotel.
My overall stay was great!
The 'free' wifi was only free in the lobby. Otherwise the stay was excellent and the location can't be beat!
