Pros: They had the best price compared to other companies for a one-way rental. I was able to choose from 4 different vehicles, and the Nissan Sentra I chose was awesome.Cons: The pickup experience was lacking, as there weren’t enough people working and the employees seemed frustrated.

Pros: Alamo staffs were very friendly and helpful. My flight arrived a little earlier. Not sure if that's the reason, but their system shows the total price more than doubled comparing to my reservation receipt. The airport Alamo staff were able to get it fixed.Cons: Because of the price difference, it took quite some time for the airport Alamo staff to get it resolved. Wish the system, especially for the reservation through 3rd parties, can be more seamless and fewer issues.

Pros: Great car, clean but mechanically unsound. Car died after one day.Cons: A car that works, roadside assistance that works as advertised, roadside assistance phone reps that do what they say they will do. Car died and had to rent a car from Hertz as Alamo couldn't figure out how to tow it or replace it. Cost me over $500.

Pros: The guy at midway airport was really nice. They were very quick and efficient too.Cons: I did notice that there was a bunch sticky stuff in the back seat when I got to Kentucky. It didn’t come from me as the only thing I put in the backseat was my suitcase, so I’m a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the vehicle. Also the vehicle itself shakes a lot when you get up to 70mph, and overall I wasn’t impressed with the Ford Ecosport.

Pros: They treated me very bad they made me wait for 2 hours they were late then changed the book car then wanted to charge me 360 dollars not the amount that was on your application. It was bad I had a child with me and travel bags and the employee refused to use any other type of payment except my credit card which didn’t have that much money I want a compensation for my lost time lost money my agony long wait and missed work day. Unprofessional unacceptable.Cons: Hated all aspects and how they treated me really bad and made me wait two hours although I booked a day before didn’t pick us up and still told us to go get coffee while we wait. It was 45 min and extended to two hours then it was a different car and extraaaaaaaa money not the amount on ur app or even close. 360 dollars for whaaaaat???

Cons: The counter agent was very rude. We waited for 45 minutes in the line. When we finally got to him, he told us we would have to wait 45 to 90 minutes until our car would be ready unless we upgrade by paying additional $18/day. After he rang the charges , it showed $19/ day. It gets worse. After driving for two hours, the car had engine light. We called the emergency roadside service, I was put on hold for 30 minutes. Next day, the car condition got worse, we drove back to the airport to change the car because the car had trouble starting. When we returned to the airport, the counter agent was at the return center. He was rude. He did not apologize.

Pros: The staff in the lot at pickup was friendly and helpful in figuring out the confusion from the mistake a the counter. The staff at drop off was friendly and helpful. Both of these staff were Hertz employees as they were handling the car pickup and dropoff.Cons: The counter staff assigned the same car to me as to someone else. There was confusion as to who was supposed to be in the car. The counter staff added insurance that I did not want to the charges. They did not ask me; I never take the insurance. When I questioned the higher amount, she said it was due to a deposit that would be returned to me. When I called customer service to address the situation, "William" told me that there was nothing he could do to help and I would need to follow some 10 step process on a web site to submit a complaint. We normally rent from Hertz. I will never us Dollar again.

Pros: Hard to find the car. Was parked in a lot marked with another agency. No instruction at all on the basics of the car. Never told how to operate the plate pass. Directions for drop off were incorrect. Never could get through through when I called for a question.Cons: See above

Pros: Someone from Hertz helped us, thank God.Cons: Dollar closed at 5pm our flight landed at 6pm. There was NO ONE there to help us- the counter and in the garage were empty. This was an hour and a half fiasco. Fortunately someone at Hertz helped us. The SUV we rented wasn’t available, so we got a minivan that had been smoked in. It smelled awful! I will never use Kayak again

Cons: Two things impacted my rating: Very long, two hour wait time to pick up car. At 1am in a hot crowded room during Covid was awful. I’m not comfortable driving a large vehicles and was only given the choice of extremely large trucks and SUVs. Something even remotely to the class of car I reserved (compact) would have been appreciated.

Pros: The car ran.Cons: They didn’t have the car I had reserved. I had reserved a mini SUV. They were out. So I got a Nissan Versa which did not make moving things out of my sons dorm easy. The worst thing was the Plate Pass. It worked only half time. Every time we went through a toll we backed up the line because we needed an attendant. Very very stressful. Since the tolls are gates we had no choice. Even the attendants could only get it to work sporadically. It was all in all- a terrible experience

Cons: The vehicle was only so so clean. The worst part was the smudgy windows. Driving at night with a bit of heat inside caused the windows to fog and become hard to see out of with lots of glare. Dangerous, especially driving on unfamiliar streets.

Pros: Nice car and very clean. Drop off was easyCons: Price with add ons is ridiculous Pick up was horrible at Midway desk with only two agents working neither of whom was trying very hard to move the line. I was only 4 people back and had to wait 45 minutes to get to the counter.

Pros: Pickup was confusing as avis had no one at the desks, ghost town. Drop off was simple.Cons: Vehicle had broken glass under the seats and on floor mats at pickup, must've had broken windows previously?? 6 hour drive sounded like driving with the windows open, very loud and interior was not clean even though avis put a sticker on the dash starting vehicle was. Clean/sanitize from top to bottom....

Pros: Car was great, Rental office great.Cons: As I was leaving the check oil and check tire light was on I ask the gentleman as I was leaving about it he said they just probably forgot to reset. It was late so I trusted and left. The next morning heading to my daughters hockey game, the car will not start. Could not detect key. I finally called Uber and continued to try to start actually got started before he got there so we drive to game. I had an hour before it started so I called Avis. The First Lady told me I could either go to wal mart to fix or drive 60 miles both ways to get a new car.... I said not an option. She put me on hold for forever I finally hung up and called back a nicer gentleman found one closer 20 minutes. I drove over they didn’t have cars available. By this time my head is about to spin off. So I drove back to game left my car running watched game and then proceeded to call again which I had to then drove to airport another 20 minutes away and get a new car. They were nice and helped me out so the service is lost somewhere in between. I will never use Avis again.

Pros: Almost everything was fantastic. Customer service was timely and pleasant...there were only two of us in line, but there was no effort to put me off. Drop-off was easy and also quick. No receipt provided at drop-off, told I would receive via email. I filled the car with gas before turn-in...haven’t seen the receipt yet, but do hope I wasn’t charged for gas as that appears to be a problem for some.Cons: Getting the email receipt for the car rental facility is far from timely. When traveling for business in particular this receipt is critical for expense reports and a delay in the receipt costs money in disbursement lag, AND is frustrating. For this reason alone, I would generally rate lower, but the rest of the service and the car itself was really very good.

Pros: I cancelled because though we were flying into O’Hare, our car pick-up was set for near north side of Chicago, a detail I did not catch at time of purchase. At least the supervisor I spoke to by phone refunded the $100 I could have lost because I didn’t catch the mistake and cancel more than 24 hours before scheduled pick-up.

Pros: NothingCons: We were unable to collect the car because of issues with Thrifty. They were unable to provide us with a car in a reasonable time at the time of our rental. We arrived at the car rental desk and found 100 people queued in line at the counter. In talking with other people, we heard the line was over 1.5 hours long. We waited for 30 minutes and the line did not move. At that point, we were going to miss the appointment that was the reason for our trip, so we left and made other arrangements. (We have small children and waiting for several hours in line was not going to be possible for us.) I attempted to call Thrifty and Rentalcars.com from the line, but was unable to reach an agent. I am happy to provide a photo of the line. Given this experience and Thrifty's inability to provide us a car in a reasonable timeframe at our reservation time, we are requesting a refund for our reservation from rentalcars.com.

Pros: Waited over 2 hours for my vehicle pick up and missed my conference. Staff was not friendly and seemed to careless that a line and formed (literally) out the door of the building. Nothing was offered, and they even tried to up sell me. Thrifty is trash, and the reviews at the Chicago Ohare airport reflect exactly what I experienced. Cons: This was the most disgusting car rental- even though you have to sign a form indicating you won’t smoke, the car reeked of leftover smoke which was ingrained into the soggy surfaces. Burn marks evident in from seat. You didn’t notice the smell until the recently sprayed air freshener wore off and by that point we were 2 hours away.

Pros: The only positive things I can say about Fox car rental is one, the person who checked me in was friendly and courteous, number two, the person who checked me in upon my return was friendly and courteous. Their customer service took 45 minutes to answer the phone and the representative was discourteous and condescending. They did a bait and switch with the type of vehicle that I had requested. The vehicle smelled of cigarette smoke, the windshield on the interior was not cleaned. I had to buy a bottle of for breeze and Windex and paper towels to make the car suitable for my trip. I would never ever rent from this company.Cons: They could be honest with their customer, they could train their customer service representatives to be more customer service oriented. And they should give the customer the type of vehicle that they had requested. It goes back I guess to the old saying, You get what you pay for.

Pros: Only girl at window was sullen, uninterested in her job, and abrupt. I was the only customer at that late hour. She charged me $150.00 deposit on top of the rental charge. I have not yet been reimbursed and don’t know to whom I should demand my deposit back.Cons: Seems the whole organization procedures and staff need complete change.

Pros: The staff was happy to see and serve me. Good customer service.Cons: Even though I called ahead, there were no full-sized trucks on the lot when I arrived. They had to get one from some auxiliary lot and drive it in for me. The truck they grabbed had not been properly cleaned - filthy steering wheels and side windows so dirty that I could not see the side mirrors. National made up for this by giving me a free day of rent (refund), and a deep apology from the management. So I will try them again next time.

The car itself ran just fineCons: When you rent a car and there are visible parts missing-two holes where two what look like lights should have been and there is a long list of "dings"-if is off-putting. And when you have a "this car needs to be serviced" notice every time you start--that is off-putting too. It makes you feel like you are driving a car with problems.

Cons: I got to the airport around 11:50am while my rental was scheduled to be picked up around noon and was told that they have no cars for me . Rental was paid for in full and yet company didn’t hold the vehicle for me but released it prior to another customer. Customer rep for Sixt then informed me that she will put me on a waiting list with remaining clients and I could try back around 3pm. I am disappointed in both Kayak for partnering with Sixt and them for misleading their clients.

Pros: Staff was friendly but did not help me when I called in about the car being dirty on the inside.Cons: The car was in disgusting condition and clearly had not been cleaned or sanitized at all. Was not helped when I called into the store to report this. Also, the iPass did not work in the tolls. It was truly an awful experience and I would never recommend this service to someone.

Pros: Staff at pickup were friendly, and the person at their 24/7 help line was empathetic when we had a problemCons: Extra fees & car model restrictions for younger drivers not clear online. No way to see how much insurance would cost before you book. When our car's tire was damaged, we had to stand on the side of the highway for 30 min on hold for roadside assistance, only for them to tell us the best they could do was send a local shop (60 minutes away!) to put on the spare. So the roadside assistance isn't really any help. Because they have so few locations, if you have any car issue outside of Chicago/Indianapolis, you're stuck with taking the time to repair the car, paying for repairs upfront and being charged for any extra time you have to rent the car in order to get those repairs. You can't just exchange the car like you could at a larger chain. Untranslated German on their English website.

Pros: The staff was very nice. It was super easy quick and easy.Cons: That when we picked up the car, the inside had a terrible odor, even in the trunk! We bought three vent air fresheners and placed one in the trunk and two inside the car, which helped. Other than that the car was awesome!

Pros: Yup they lied to me in Atlanta Airport when my car got breaking outside the hotel and they broke my Driver side rear window and Sixt send me a claim saying there was 2 window broken how is it even true when I have a police report saying they broke only 1 window are they trying to rip the CustomerCons: They have to charge what they offer and Car security system wasn’t working other wise I would have safe my stuffs and belongings

Cons: The check oil light came on, and I found that it was about one quart low. Maybe a little better review of maintenance procedures would help this. All in all is was great. Amit at the counter was excellent to work with.

Pros: The pick up was close by but I didnt realize it would not be at the airport. The sign is super small and if your not looking for it you would miss the pick up spot. Our group waited over 30 minutes before they finally picked us up.

Cons: The car’s front end rattled the whole time. Alignment was off pulling to the right. Drivers door made a rattle like a can of beans the whole time we drove over 60mph. The car was dirty when we received it and had over 10 chips in the windshield. Worst rental I’ve ever had.

Pros: One lady was super helpful and nice, the rest of the staff I interacted with seemed like they hated everything. The second van I received was in excellent condition on the inside, though dented on the outside.Cons: Ended up being about 25% more than the quoted reservation cost with no explanation given. Inconvenient pickup/drop off location, at least for transit/walking. Took a very long time to pickup and drop off despite being the only customer there. First van they were going to give me was FULL of trash in the back. Second one was fine. Otherwise rude staff. put a huge hold on your card, mileage limit for IL residents - they do tell you this upfront when you’re there but it’s a bit sneaky if you’re reserving through a third party site like this. Some other stuff I can’t even think of right now cuz I’m trying to push the whole ordeal out of my head. It was pretty darn cheap though.

Cons: We thought we were getting a great deal on a car rental for two weeks. When we arrived at the business to pick up our car, we were charged over $120 more than our initial payment. The reason was (at first) that they had to come and pick us up from the airport. When we pressed into why, the next reason they gave us was because we should have reserved the car through a third party like Expedia. Which we did-through Kayak. The NEXT reason they gave us for charging us so much more was that we came through the airport. Which made zero sense because that's where I filled all the information out at the time of making the reservation. We then asked to see the manager and someone else came out to talk to us. When we asked the woman if she was the manager she said, "well, kind of, but not really, I just help the manager." We then asked again to see the manager. She went back to get him and came back to us and said the manager refused to see us and would not come out front. We then cancelled our reservation. As we were trying to find an Uber to get to another car rental location, another customer was going through the same run around and was being charged over $100 than what all her paperwork said. We call this unethical and bad business and will never recommend this company.

Pros: nothing. THis was the worst rental company ever. Do not rent from them ever.Cons: The company charged me more than the rate I booked through Kayak and refused to honor the rate. Also, they said they have a policy that limits people who rent cars from the same state as them to 350 miles per day vs. unlimited, which is what I booked in my contract. The whole "bait and switch" thing was shady and probably illegal. Also, when I got the car home and started loading stuff into it, I realized the car had never been cleaned. There were food crumbs all over the third row, with dirty napkins and drink cups. The irony is that they made me initial something saying that if I smoked or had a pet in the car, I would need to pay $199 for cleaning but they don't even clean out the cars in between customers. I had to vacuum the car myself before going on my trip.

They did not honor their written rental confirmation and left me stranded without a rental car at Midway Airport, and nearly every other car rental company was without vehicles. They provided no justification for failing to live up to their written commitment. Avoid this company!

The car that wasn't thereCons: "Reserved" online. It was not made clear that the company was offsite or that a credit card number was necessary to hold the car. Our flight arrived nearly 2 hours late. We took the shuttle to the rental counter only to realize Economy was in a different location. Called both the local number and the toll-free number and got no answer. By the time my phone calls caught up with me it was 12:30 am and the message was that they would hold the car until 10:00. So now we were stuck at Midway. Luckily we were able to rent anothe car but had to cram 6 adults with luggage into 1 car instead of 2 and had to pay a premium price. I would not use Economy again.

Pros: The employees of the company are friendly and helpful. The car was new and comfortable.Cons: The company has a hidden "mandatory" roadside assistance fee of $100. It is NOT printed on any of the paperwork, nor or is there a notification when making the reservation on Kayak. It doubled the price of my rental, but there was 0 communication upfont. I reserve thru Kayak all the time and expect they would be disappointed in the hidden costs as well.

Told me they gave out all of their cars the night before thanksgiving and they didn't have any car to give me for my reservation. Had to rent from Avis for $260.00 for 1 day when my reservation with Economy was for $70.00
