Staff efficient and friendly, Concierge in Level Lounge knowledgeable and helpful, speaks excellent English. We have stayed here before. We did not find anything appealing on the Restaurant's menu..fusion with little Spanish elements. We at tapas in in which has stairs, or nibbled a great assortments with a selection a wines and spirits. I think we shall not return d/ location and restaurant
Very exciting style. Not good enough information in the rooms
Good location and ok staff. It is a boutique type hotel with a lot of looks but not much essences. The hallways looked like a disco from the 80's.
Room Decor Stinking Lobby and too much construction and construction noise in the hotel lobby and bar
breakfast was good. the room was very cold(in design). coffee maker didnt work.no english channels apart from cnn and fox news.for a deluxroom itdidnt have a luxurious feel. the upgrade at 80 euro a night on top of 170 per night was definetly not worth it.walls in room were dirty.pool was small, water dirty.
The general atmosphere in the hotel beautiful. Cooperation of staff and management of the hotel, a wonderful No
Nice beds. Extra €17 for use of the 10x5m indoor pool and sauna is crazy and bad service for a 5-star hotel.Hotel staff appointed us the a very bad, underclass restaurant.
I can't answer this question correctly as the hotel was under renovation and some of the facilities were not available If the lifts were full or not working properly there were no stairs available to use because of the renovation work
very central location (2 mins walk to the next tube station), huge and varied breakfast buffet, very comfortable beds, reasonably sized rooms (including the bathroom). Although from the outside looking very grey, a huge block of concrete, the inside is very modern and everything seems to have been recently refurbished. Ridiculous having to pay for the spa/wellness area. Even for only printing my boarding pass they wanted me to pay for the internet but in the end I was "allowed" to use a PC in the business area. To my taste the room interior was a bit too modern - certainly something to get used to.
Cleanliness/Comfort of Room and good access to wifi. No tea/coffee making facilies - guide to TV channels.
Well located next to El Corte Ingles, for dedicated shoppers Spacious rooms Access to an excellent fitness center located in the hotel building is included in your rate. Extremely overpriced breakfast - you get the same buffet than in any hotel for double the price... In spite of all the comforts, rooms can be a bit noisy due to the heavy traffic just in front of the hotel. It is a 5-star hotel but it lacks charm... I went to this hotel only because the group I was going with did - if I have a choice, I think that there are much better places substantially cheaper.
value for money, location SPA area - a lot of outside people and very little pool, good but very expansive breakfast
nice gym and swimming pool, next to shopping centre
Very good servicing of room, without being intrusive, towels changed regularly, turn down service in evening, very fast and efficient lifts (we were on tenth floor) spacious quiet rooms, lots of wardrobe space, attentive staff, fast and efficient check-in Not much. Breakfast coffee machine was slow and fiddly!
Size of bedroom The beds are way too small and uncomfortable.
location good hotel, but a few overrated (especially for service and equipements).
Price of the breakfast was far to high. Swimming pool to be considered as a children's pont only
Location. Breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff. For a supposed 5-star hotel, disappointing. Had to change room after first night due to traffic noice, very poor sound-proofing. Though comfortable, hotel has absolutely no charm or style. In particular, the breakfast room is very drab, although food is fine. Net curtains in room were filthy. Certainly not a five-star hotel. The "24-hour tapas bar- café" is not 24-hour, indeed one night we went back to hotel, it was already closed at 10pm. Air-conditioning fiddly to adjust, and noisy. All-in-all, in need of refurbishment.
Nice rooms at a reasonable price We booked 7 rooms and a meeting room for the afternoon. Meeting room for 350,00€ for the hald day did not have a beamer and they charged additional 174,00€!!!!! for it. On our complaint they have let us know that it is normal for them to offer the meeting rooms without equipments and that the 174,00€ were adäquate.
aircondition did not work.rooms too hot price of bkfst too high. price should include bkfst
Close to the city center. Plaza De Espana is 2 minutes far walking. Internet was not working at all. The receptions told me that it was due to fact that my room was far form the access point..... They suggest me to go outside of my room to use internet...
Front desk staff superb, our room was very comfortable and within walking distance for everything, so we though it was perfrect! We asked for a king or queen bed, non smoking, and got twin beds, the smell of smoke lingered in the air, but I imagine there is not a lot you can do about that. Smell of cigarettes....
Excellent location, near Plaza España. I travel with my dog, dog welcome (notified with booking), but very expensive. Garage next door, easy access from the North towards Madrid (i.e. A6). Noticed other people complaining about room, but I got an excellent twin room at the back side of the hotel, so very quiet. Bathroom fine. Breakfast good. Didn't dine here. I spent six days here and found it comfortable enough. The surrounding parks are great when travelling with a dog. Hotel is used by many groups, some can be quite noisy. High cost of dog not notified to me in advance. When I asked about this they told me "But you made your reservation through Internet", as if that should make a difference. Hotel seems to be in need of refurnishing but not to the point that this is annoying. Poor plant on Floor 3 didn't survive neglect of staff, guests must have watered it, but is was too late...
cleanliness no parking
Good location Easy Access to city centre and Metro Hotel requires decorating and general upgrade
It was a very warm spell during our stay but the room temperature was quite good. Better than some more modern hotels. The food was disgusting. I eat very, very little of the one evening meal we took - and got food poisoning. I am still unwell, 3 days later.
1. Price Old and very run down.
ease of parking and access to major roadways good breakfast service lack of free use of PC's with nternet access
Location. Friendly & helpful staff. Bar was only open on demand and staffed from reception. I would prefer a "breakfast included" deal.
Central, good access to subway. New and very comfortable rooms. Value for the money.
The location is perfect for a business travel. nothing.
Good location - within one block of Metro. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Currently under construction so rooms were limited.
The hotel is located very close to the downtown area and the shopping area, metro and taxi station. Modern and Clean. Nice little rooms and nice little buffet breakfast. In The neighbourhood, tapas bar or restaurant. Internet is not free but not expensive. Some lobbies or areas needs repainting.
wooden floors in corridor were a bit noisy.
Good location. We chose this hotel for only one reason - Sixt car rent point. Soundproof ability very critical. Breakfast too expensive. Need to pay for everything, even for use safe box.
The position of the hotel is very convenient. The staff are all polite & helpful I thought the breakfast arrangements should have been mentioned during check in
cental ok price no breakfast incuded in price rebuilding
Room had view of an airshaft, so felt claustrophobic.
good price, good, big enough room, great style, near to metro, quiet, centralized, free internet in tha room, free bicycles to go for a trip, coffee or tea in the room,
We enjoyed the situation of the hotel very central and near metro and bus stations. A special mention for the beds who were particularly comfortable.
Great hotel location (Central and near metro and bus stations). The hotel is very old where it must be renovated in my opinion.
Comfortable bed expensive breakfast
Very, naturally friendly people at reception. Seldom nowadays. Rooms on the small side but nicely appointed.
the internet is expensive and slowwwww the system runs out everyday .. the bussines corner (hhahah) is a old PC in the table . the rooms are nice .the staff is nice too. the beds are confortable and the shower is great but do not thing in wifi -- the internet acess
Great, comfortable bed, clean room and very friendly and helpful staff In the morning the noise level coming from other guests and/or cleaners opening and closing other room doors and talking in the corridor was quite high. Luckily my room had a second door that helped to reduce this noise somewhat. Slightly better noise insulation from the hallway would be a significant improvement.
The bed and bathroom. And the hotel always smelt lovely and clean. Disabled facilities were great.
Well located near Plaza Espana. Close to restaurants, convenience store. Short cab rides to major attractions. Garage on property. Caters to Americans. Business and leisure clients. Excellent beds. Bilingual staff is very helpful. No
easy access to monument and transport. The cleanliness of the hotel
the staff was very helpfull and ansewred our questions with smile. in the firsy night we wanted to switch the room, due to noises we heard from behind the wall (the elevaitor was close). the switched our room no problem at all, and we got even bigger room from the first one. they also help us with reccomendations on places to visit and resturants.
The place had a sitting room and kitchenette. Had no hot water one day.
It was very close to a metro station, giving us access to all of Madrid and train stations to other cities, as well as, a full-service department store where we got our hair cut and bought groceries. It is in a quiet, safe neighborhood while in the heart of a busy section of Madrid no, loved it.
Excelent location. Good quality-price relation by the time of my journey. Interior views.
spacious, comfortable room, very clean had a kitchenette but no cookwear. No tea & coffee in rooms
quiet situation they do what they have to do but aren't so kind at the reception
The Hotel is very nicely located in a very convenient spot of Madrid, both for shopping and sightseeing. Staff was in general very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and the bathroom very spacious. The beds are not so comfortable as I would expect for the look of the hotel. The should replace the matresses, we really didn't sleep well, they are very thin and one can feel all the springs on the back the next morning. Also, it was not very nice to be rushed for check out on Sunday morning just a little after 12.
free wifi we could hear the people in the next room watching TV
pleasant and comfortable little suite with kitchenette, good value for the price. no room service past midnight, mediocre breakfast.
The confort of the room - which is actually a small appartment, with all the facilities, the cleanliness, and comfort. I was first offered an entirely different appartment, smaller, less comfortable, and with windows facing an inner yard that contains ventilation equipment or something similar. It was different from what they advertise on their website. I refused it and I was promptly offered another apartment. Also, the electronic key desactivated quite often, and I had to return to the reception to have it refreshed. It is not a complaint, perhaps the keys are not programmed to last a whole week.
The cleanliness of the room; the location: near El Corte Inglês, metro, and one could go on foot to the center of Madrid. We`ve booked a room for three people and were given a room for two with an extra bed, at least that´s what one could assume by seeing the photos on booking.com;
The room & staff No!!
Very good location, near to main area, but back off main street so nice and quiet. Very clean and modern
The front desk staff - in particular a gentleman named Alex was extremely helpful. Since we are from the US, we needed a lot of advice for getting around in Madrid. There was no espresso bar or place to get a mixed drink in the hotel. Also, to eat anything substantial for lunch or dinner, you had to leave the hotel or cook in your room.
One thing - I did not understand when booking that I had to request certain facilities that were listed - eg tea/coffee making and kitchen equipment
It was functional but Spartan. Good location. Good breakfast, we got two for one (12E) but would not have paid for one. Front desk staff very nice. Could have been more comfortable.
Simple but good rooms, big beds, nice little kitchen, good safe, spacious and well-protected parking place beneath the hotel.
The location is very good: the centre but the quiet street at the same time. But opposite to the hotel is the school so you won't sleep after 8.30 (the children won't let you), if only you are not lucky to have windows on the inner court. The rooms are rather spacy (specially in comparison with Paris hotels), the facilities are good. They have mini-bar, fan, condition. The style is also very nice. It was not as quiet as I expected thanks to the school opposite the hotel. And the breakfast could have been more "healthy" (more fruits, yogurt etc). But to say truth the hotel is nearly perfect, I can't say that I really didn't like anything.
Location & Help-full reception staff Room requires small fridge not mini-bar type
Rooms were nice Staff was helpful Nearby transportation
Good quiet location, but only a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro, and a 15 minute walk to the Real Palace. Staff were always helpful when asked for advice on tours, the metro, etc Breakfast could have had more variety (eg yoghurts, some eggs, etc.....as an Australian I guess I just can't get the hang of eating meat and cheese rolls for breakfast!!!), I ended up buying breakfast ingresients from a supermarket for a few of the mornings
Very helpful, friendly and polite hotel staff, nice & clean rooms, nice buffet breakfast (until 11:00 Hrs), good price, good location close to the area where I needed to be : highly recommended no water boiler in the room to make your own coffee/tea.
large room, hotel is well placed close to Plaa de Espana and Rosales park. Hotel parking available. Very noisy all night, noise from cars and people in the street, including some delivery to the hotel at 3am. Claims to be an aparthotel, there is indeed a kitchenette, but no kitchnware, not even a bowl or spoon for cereals in the morning.
The location, the staff and the facilities were very good. A very good value in Madrid!
Location Staff very nice Hot water was a commodity. Rooms are not sound proof - you will be woken up in the middle of the night by neighbors walking into their rooms. Towels were not changed daily. Soap and shampoo was also a commodity. Elevator was not working one of the days - this hostel is on the 3rd floor, we had to carry our luggage 3 stories. We payed 75$ per night, we had other options at that price. I would have rather stayed further from the center, but had a more comfortable living arrangement. If you are paying less than 45 id say its acceptable accommodations.
