Pros: Staying at Casa Amora was one of the highlights of our visit to Lisbon. Juan is a superb host; thoughtful, kind and always cheerful. His excellent advice and tips on what to see and how to get around made our trip easy and fun. He was also very kind and understanding when we had to check-in late at night after our flight was delayed. Breakfast is amazing – delicious pastries (including pastel de nata!), fresh bread, cheese, meats and clafoutis, served on beautiful china in a sunny courtyard. There’s also a big range of loose leaf teas and fresh coffee (I recommend the ‘Lisbon Breakfast tea’). We rented the duplex studio which was stylish and spacious - a huge bathroom, plenty of wardrobe and storage space, and a kitchenette. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from a metro station and post office. Everything was perfect. We will definitely stay at Casa Amora again if we return to Lisbon.

Pros: We liked the general idea of the guest house. The garden--the eating area--was very pleasant. Juan, our host, was most courteous and there if we needed help.
Cons: The room we were given had a bathroom with no door, just a curtain, to the sleeping area which meant that privacy as well as comfort were highly compromised. I don't know if this is true for the other rooms but it detracted considerably from the pleasantness of the stay. Additionally, the location is less than ideal. It is a 20 minutes walk to the central part of Lisbon. Public transportation is a 10 minute walk so it doesn't really buy you anything.

Pros: the best hotel experience that I've had in years! first they upgraded the room to a mini suite, and the room and service were exceptional Great shower, and the rest of the facilities were to that level. Breakfast!!!! was one of the best I've encountered, the choice , the quality , attentiveness of the staff, didn't want to leave the Dining area :-) the SPA, wow!! indoor pool, heated, steam room, wet and dry sauna, well equipped gym - (open 24 hours)

Cons: No problems, an overall great stay. Didn't sleep well on our last night due to noise from party of 200 business conference guests. An observation though; Pool staff are understandably not allowed to wear sunglasses, but it is glaringly hot and bright on the roof. Suggestion: offer them the use of a sun visor (health and safety/ humanitarian reasons.

Pros: Great accommodation. Breakfast was extremely good. We had a nice chat every morning with the young lady working at the reception desk in the dining room. Felt very welkoming. Staff was in general very friendly and helpful. At very early check-out they offered us breakfast - pastries, juice, coffee and cookies. We used a rent-a-car through the hotel which turned out to be a great choice. They delivered the car to the hotel and we also brought it back to the hotel, which was very simple and practical. We were very pleased with our stay. Great hotel and great staff.

Cons: but not making it to the check-in time (until 7pm), I started calling 10 times before 7 pm and no answer at all. tried about another 10 times and still no answer and the phone number which not worked. finally after waiting 5/10 minutes before the entrance of the guesthouse (a friendly neighbour opened us the door, so we could knock on the door on the 3rd floor), I tried phoning again and as a surprise they answered. An employer came 20 minutes later hopefully and the stay was very awesome.

Cons: Despite boasting that it's an art hotel, its interiors are dated & not a whole lot of art was displayed. I didn't like that we had to go down the stairs to access their elevator. The elevator was tiny and doesn't leave room for more than a couple of people w/ luggage. Our shower door also didn't close all the way, leaving a tiny gap which caused water to spill on the bathroom floor.

Pros: Great location and the Staff were amazing very friendly helpful and accommodating! Very clean and really liked having the breakfast in the morning included in the price! I chose to stay again on my return trip home from the Algarve!

Cons: The room was not very nice 3 single beds cold and a man made bathroom cubicle shower 1 socket and an extension lead not very welcoming , shame as the staff were nice and great location

Cons: This place needs many improvements, as the building is fantastic, but the room we stayed in was in bad shape. This place could be amazing, but it really needs to be improved in terms of installations.
