Pros: The hotel was lovely and the concierge,Rachel, was wonderful She helped us put together a private tour with a driver, Abel. He showed us Sintra as well as many important sites in Lisbon. She also helped us with all of our questions and seemed really interesed in us.
The hotel itself is quite lovely and the view from the 9th floor is amazing

Pros: My husband and I stayed here on the last day of our honeymoon and it was lovely. The room we stayed in was on the smaller side but by no means cramped and very clean, done in a beautiful light blue, light green, and white palette. The lobby is spacious with lovely green tile. The staff was very friendly and helped suggest an affordable local restaurant nearby, which was delicious. We didn't have a chance to go in the pool, but the staff let us in to look at it after it had closed, which was very nice. It looked very lovely as well. We didn't have a lot of money to spend and found a great deal and were treated very well by the staff.

Our price, thanks you, was wonderful.
Cons: Although I checked in on line a day before arrival, our room was not ready. When they gave us a key, someone was in the room.
Finally when we finally got in the room, it was not the twin beds I had requested.
The last full day we were there, we came back to find a key in the electric switch.
This hotel is very careless about keys.
Prices for breakfast in the hotel were ridiculous.

Cons: The view on our room (one of the cheapest ones) did not have a good view, but I guess that is to be expected (it looked out over some flat rooftops with astroturf). One small thing, when we went out during the day my husband was dressed in a t-shirt and jeans and one the doormen sort of implied that he was looking for the wrong building, but it wasn't overtly rude, he just tried to stop him and ask if he could help direct him before he went in the door.

6.2 Good
Pros:
Cons: When we (group of six people) book with paid in full and check in to hotel, we DID NOT know that we have to pay the taxes 2 euros per day and the person help to check in did not mention that either.
After we signed our name on the card which we DID NOT see the taxes 2 euros per day on the card, but when we check out someone put that taxes 2 euros per day on the card afterward. THAT IS NOT RIGHT. IT IS THE MATTER OF PRINCIPLE.
They can put any amount on the card after we signed.
We REFUSED to pay the taxes. I hope that the hotel do not charge us.

Pros: Almost nothing.
Cons: the bedroom had a balcony. The balcony door was broken so air from outside leaked in. The room was freezing all night.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Clean and location
Cons: Staff is ok, but the so called lady executive mgr was not friendly and not try to solve problems. She did not try to make a six dollar error on a 3 nite stay. She said that mistake had to make by their executive DIRECTOR . That six dollar had to charge when we check out( they did not tell us when we checked in. And our was a PREPAID stay).
The washing sink basin was made of kind of soft pastic( in a 4, 5 star hotel ??).

Pros: Spacious, all the extras such as coffee, toiletries, the breakfast basket was lovely, great and fresh.
Cons: Echoey building, meant was quite noisy from fellow stayers at the guest house and street outside, could hear everything even with windows closed. Also requested 2 single beds but got 1 double and staying with my dad resulted in sleeping on the sofa.

Pros: Very good position to visit Lisbon. Staff was great and kind. Rooms are very spacy. Breakfast idea (baskets at the door) is nice, although they are delivered quite late if you are there for business (or they will deliver them at night, but stuff will not be that fresh).
Cons: Rooms noise isolation is not very great, you can hear a lot others (water, walking, talking, coffee machine). So if this is an issue for you (not much for me) you should be aware of it.

Pros: Every one of the staff were very professional, friendly, and helpful.
Cons: The air conditioning did not cool the room properly. Reported this and they did respond quickly and sent someone to fix. Still too warm though and we could not leave the terrace door open for cool air due to construction next door.

Pros: Location and bedding was very comfortable
Cons: Service was average. No one to help with luggage and quality of service of reception staff varied too much: from very nice and knowledgeable to not very nice and unwelcoming.

Pros: Excellent and friendly staff. Nice sized indoor pool. Healthy but doable walk to scenic areas and metro.
Cons: Has the "modern" room set up with a glass door bathroom, so the other person is disturbed by the light shining through. Beware that you will be charged 2.5 euros for each coffee pod beyond the two offered! Gym is small but workable.

Pros: This is a very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. The staff js very helpful, the breakfast is great, and the facilities are wonderful. We loved the pool and saunas! Would definitely recommend and we would like to return here next time we’re in Lisbon.
Cons: The fire alarm went off in the afternoon, when we were taking a nap. It is still unclear what happened and nobody really communicated this. Early checkin was not possible, but we received a later checkout, which was great for us! There is still quite a bit of a walk to the city centre and there are not many restaurants around, but uber is very affordable and the area is still nice.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent. Served in comfortable surrounds with a very good range of food and good service.
Cons: The room we were allotted was a little small but relatively comfortable. In this regard we are completely ignoring the bathroom. The bath was blocked and we requested that this be un-blocked and cleaned 3 times. My wife then discovered dried blood spattered on the bathroom floor. As it was a marble floor the blood was difficult to see, but rubbing with a tissue soon exposed the problem. It was quite obvious that the floor had not been washed and cleaned thoroughly. After a bitter complaint to the service desk on our last night we were given another room. The Manager was not available to talk to us as it was the weekend!!

Pros: Excellent location, just 15/20 minute walk from Winter Wonderland. Lovely first floor Piano Bar very nice pool area Spa Sauna etc. Excellent Hotel, catered for my party of x 10 Rooms and was great when I asked for Champagne, they even sent me a Free Birthday Cake when entertaining in my suite (50th Tut!!!) Lovely staff and very nice atmosphere.
Cons: Found the price for the breakfast rather expensive at €35.00 per day for x 2 pax. Ours was included in the suite but our guests who had Doubles had the option to pay. There is a perfectly good Cafè 100 yards away that did breakfasts/Pastries/goodies from €3.00 !!! Also sorry to be negative, I ordered a transfer one way from airport to hotel through the hotel which was €70.00 - and when we went back after our long weekend it was €12 in an Uber, so slightly stung. But Hey Ho, there was a Chauffeur with a nice laptop at the waiting point when we arrived off the plane. They also do a FREE shuttle if you are lucky enough to use it, sadly we were in the wrong place or wrong time, so just missed it etc, but not a big deal, nice that they offer it to be fair.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location and hotel, friendly staffs. Very clean hotel, good amenities, good selection of food. Free shuttle service and good value for money!I like the junior suite upgrade.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed the spa facilities.
Cons: The beds / pillows - not as comfortable as they could be.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: I ended up at the Altis after a very long day of travel and a disastrous Airbnb experience left me and my friends without a place to stay. Desperate, we found the Altis on Kayak with a 5-star rating and were willing to put a little extra money in given how nice the place looked in the app. Unfortunately, this ended up being a terrible experience. The staff was extremely slow and unhelpful, making us wait a very long time to get to our rooms after a very long day. Moreover, the rooms bore absolutely no resemblance to the photos we saw on the app - they were outdated, dingy, and dirty. There were hairs in our showers, and the floors were stained. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The wifi didn't work, coming in and out every few minutes. In fact, we ended our stay early given how bad the conditions were - though it took ages to do so at reception. There is no way this hotel is 5 stars and it should not be advertised as such. Personally, I would like for the hotel to compensate me in some way for such a misleading and poor experience.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Concierge staff were terrific, location of the hotel was close enough to many sights, breakfast was amazing
Cons: Booked a superior room with courtyard view, got a small bed and not view to speak of
Other hotels we stayed in Paris or Warsaw offer complimentary water, here it’s only one time on arrival and they don’t advertise it unless you ask

Pros: Generally excellent, except....
Cons: Shared bathroom, (which I haven't had to do since the 1970s - thought we'd manage and we did, but definitely missed the essential luxury of en suite) and lack of privacy. Our room was next to the dining room door, with a glazed double door over which opaque sticky plastic sheet had been stuck. A nice lie in was impossible due to foot traffic and dining noise, as well as light from the glazed door. Room was very small. Compensated for by scrupulous cleanliness, excellent buffet breakfast and friendly and obliging staff.

Pros: Nicely decorated vintage style hotel. Great location with stunning city views.
Cons: The vent under the shower cabin is not well closed, cockroaches came from underneath so we kept the light on in the bathroom. Breakfast is rather late starting at 7.30am. The day of our departure we left early at 7 am and no alternative breakfast could be arranged nor even a cup of coffee while we asked the day before. I think it is unacceptable to let a guest leave on an empty stomach when booked with breakfast. This ruined a bit our overall impeccable impression.

Pros: The old fancy interiors and location are the best elements of this hotel/hostel. Staff is very nice as well.
Cons: I had a room on the second floor, exactly in front of the lift and stairs that goes up to the restaurant, open to public as well. Until 1am it was impossible to sleep, also because the stairs are old and in wood material, so each foot step feels like an elephant is coming down and, people don’t care/think at is a hotel so they shouldn’t shout while coming down from the restaurant. Breakfast is absolutely average! Maybe I have been unlucky, but a part the 2 delicious cakes, the rest was not so much appealing. For the price I paid, I would have expected fresh orange juice, not from a brand. Absolutely over priced!

Cons: We had issues the whole time with our key card and in the end had to request to be given the actual , turn in the lock key. We were in Portugal with a group of friends, one of our friends who had booked 4 months in advance directly with the Hotel (not booking.com) arrived to be told they had over booked the hotel and there was no room for her. This is to be honest shocking, it’s lucky she was with friends and not travelling on her own. She was then offered to move to another hotel of the company 2 kilometres away, in the end she opted not to do this as we had all booked to be in the same area together, so she found somewhere else to stay and is awaiting a refund On our last evening there was a private party happening on the roof top, very loud music going on till past 1am, we were on the first floor and it was loud so I can’t imagine what it would have been like further up the building. I absolutely loved Lisbon and will be returning again. However It is not likely I will return to the hotel.

Pros: Amazing hotel that is clean, comfortable, and professional. The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the ability to park a car underground, if needed. The gym, sauna, and spa on the property were perfect. All amenities were clean. Lobby is clean and welcoming. Always someone available if I had any questions. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: I absolutely enjoyed my stay. There isn’t anything I would change about this hotel or any of the staff.

Pros: The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The front desk especially were helpful with assisting in changing our train schedule to Algarve. Close to the high end shops and a very safe location.
Cons: It was at the top of a fairly good hill and a good walk to the main tourist area. My son was disappointed it didn’t have a pool but we knew going in so that was our booking decision and nothing to do with the hotel.

Cons: As a lot of other opinions before (to which I did not pay much attention), the noise of the air conditioner can be really a problem if you are hoping to have a good night sleep.

Pros: The location is fantastic and on arrival the staff went above an beyond even carrying our suitcases up the 4 flights of stairs. However, this is where the positives ended.
Cons: The room was neat and tidy, however the sheets looked stained, the towels were old and the whitewash on the walls came off on your clothes if you brushed against it. The bathroom options were all very run down with the toilet and shower doors not even able to give privacy. The shower was mouldy and it seems like providing toilet paper is optional as it wasn’t replenished (though we also discovered this elsewhere in Lisbon), as two nights in a row it had run out by 10.00pm Our double room was separated from the next dorm room only by old thin double doors meaning talking (and Netflix) in the other room seemed like they were in the room with us (till at least 3am when we knocked on their door and it stopped.) These same neighbours smoked marijuana all night long and it filled our room too. In the end we forfeited our 3rd paid night and moved to an AirBnB because we couldn’t take the conditions for another night.

Pros:
Cons: Very upset of this hostel, the worst i tried ! The room with 4 bed is not even private its shared Lot of noises and bad smell... Try another one if you can

Pros: Great location, called “Bairro Alto”, means it’s in a higher village, there are food restaurants and bar, some stores close and you can take Uber or taxi easily.
Cons: It’s a underground build, nice to every ages, but there is no elevator .. some times too dark
