The location was very good and it was very quiet inside the room. The connecting door to the bathroom needed to be altered as the handle slid past the door opening and I caught my thumb in the handle and it was bruised.

The hotel is located in the Gas lamp area, it is well serviced by public transport. It is located in walking distance to the USS Midway and local attractions. The hotel does not have a restaurant, you can obtain a discount from an affiliated restaurant. Room was small.
Good value for you money. Very clean. Good facilities. Bed too soft, it is like it is just made entirely of pillow. I had some maintenance issues in my room, which they fixed, but they wanted me to move instead.

I was very satisfied, was even able to check in hours ahead of schedule and was upgraded to a better room. The location is fantastic as well as the view, staff was attentive and courteous, definitely recommend this place.

Not all staff was friendly, room wasn't thoroughly cleaned one day and Cafe and restaurants only open till 1pm. Also some staff gave poor directions as to how to get to places.
Rooms were good size with a nice view. Big screen TV. Downtown location near to attractions. Didn't sleep well because the mattress was a bit lumpy. Gave me a backache. The breakfast menu is pricey. $44/day for parking. Hotel like Westin should have free parking available for guests.
The location is AMAZING, I highly recommend it. When we first arrived I was disappointed by the outside of the building (it looks very dated) but the interior was GREAT and the room was extremely comfortable. One of the best beds I have slept in at a hotel!

The hotel is well situated overlooking the bay. Be sure to get a bay view room. Otherwise you could stay at any non-view hotel for less. The surprise $24.00 'self-parking' charge per day. The $3.00 for Lobby Coffee. plus tip of course.
The hotel had an excellent location right along the bay. It was close to many attractions and restaurants. There was nothing wrong with this hotel, it was just very average. I would say it met expectations, but did not exceed. Rooms were a decent size, beds were comfortable. We could have benefited from a room with a better view; we couldn't enjoy our balcony because we were right above the air conditioning unit which was very loud.
The location was perfect, plus they had a shuttle That would take you to the zoo, Horton plaza and seaport village. The air conditioner wouldn't go below 70 and parking was a bit crazy. You get charged an additional $26 a day to park in the parking structure.
Everything, the service, the customer greeting and all other businesses that had to be done for a satisfactory! To be honest, everything was gone great with my experience and I should say that for the best price we got more!

I loved the location since it was near to the Train station, waterfront and little Italy. I liked that the maintenance fixed our sink within an hour when it would not drain. The maid did a great job of cleaning. One staff member was rude when informing us that we could no longer buy any breakfast items. I wish there was an affordable restaurant in the hotel and that it offered free breakfast. The sink would not drain, so maybe updating maintenance more often would be good. Training the front desk staff on being more informative to guests about facilities and information on the hotel upon check-in is needed very much.
the hotel is only minutes front eh airport. it is right along the waterfront, which is beautiful. The city views are also delightful. Very close to the train which provides easy transport to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to many attractions. Convient to all the city opportunities. It worked out great for my baseball stay. Helpful concierge. Close to restaurants. I would stay there again. Wish it had free parking. Closet in bathroom not my first choice. Bouncers at a private party not very friendly.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The location was great; right on the waterfront which was close to some great sites and also walking distance from gas lamp and other cool places. Some parts of the hotel seemed dated or in need of repair, like the elevator. Internet was a little sketchy in the room from time to time and I had to call for support.

The view from the balcony was a direct line to the waterfront and the Star of India. The room was very clean. Breakfast is provided at the attached restaurant which is a nice facility. Transportation is provided to and from the airport and to the cruise ship terminal. The location is convenient to walk to Seaport Village, Little Italy, local bus line, the zoo, Gaslamp district, multiple other restaurants, as well as pharmacies and shopping. There is no need for a car. The lobby area is being remodeled and I knew that when I booked. It was a little dusty, but not inconvenient in any way. However, although the rooms are very clean, the furniture, wall coverings, and carpet are looking a little tired and worn out and in my opinion, these are the areas which should be updated.
Localization is good. It is a good relatioon cost/benefits.The room is nice. Lobby could be pretier!

There is a free shuttle to/from the airport. Each room contains a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, safe, hair dryer, and iron. I was given a voucher for free breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant and the staff kept it well-stocked, even when it was nearly time to end the buffet. I flew in early and the hotel let me check in early without charging an extra fee. There were several issues with the condition of the room. The refrigerator, TV, microwave, and lamp were all broken. I attempted to restart the fridge and the TV by unplugging from surge protector and plugging directly into socket, trying different sockets, etc. but was unable to get them going again. A very nice maintenance man did some trouble-shooting and was able to get them working with a bit of effort. The switch on the lamp was bent, loose, and shorted out. Cleanliness was also a problem, maybe because of my early check-in. A used towel was stuffed under the safe in the closet. One bar of soap in the bathroom had gotten wet and was unusable. There was a curly hair on the bathroom counter. There was no lotion. Overall, the experience was NOT what I expected from a $200 per night hotel and I do not recommend it.

The price is reasonable and the location is excellent. The rooms are spacious. However, the soundproofing of the walls is suboptimal. I found the restaurant and the breakfast menu mediocre.
It was close to the water. Very comfortable. Remodeling so it will even be better when that is completed.

Even though the hotel was unconstruction, it had great service. Good room for a good price. We only stayed for one night and everything was great. No complains about anything. Highly recommended this hotel its rest the pier and has good restaurants near as well.

I liked the bed, it was comfortable. I liked the design of the shower even though it was not the most functional way to wash your body and save water in California with the looming drought over it's head. First of all, they try to hold $100 a night for possible incidentals but could not provide the correct paperwork stating that it was company policy so they use the tactic of trying to stall you out so they don't have to deal with you anymore. Second I didn't like the communication the front desk lacked, I didn't like that there was a pool but no Jacuzzi, I did not like that I had to pay $45 over night to park my car or the fact that all the parking circling the hotel was 2 hour metered parking starting at 8am. The valet service guys at times were more helpful then the front desk in curing any issues I had. This place is only for out of town business people. People with a company card who are looking to pay high for food and minimal fun.
The room was absolutely nothing special, a motel quality at best. There was no refrigerator, but they did provide a six ounce bottle of their brand water for two guest. We also had leaky shower faucet, I supposed designed for ambient noises to help us sleep. We paid $340 a night for the room, however internet was not included and upon arriving, discovered the parking described on the website, would cost us $47 per night. The city view described from our room, was a very tall adjacent building. San Diego! Great city, but research your hotel carefully. There are lots of nonsense outfits like The Renaissance waiting to take your money for garbage service!
Very clean stylish room, flexible check-in and friendly staff, good hotel room amenities and facilities, great location, wonderful cleaning staff, lots of nearby restaurants and shopping, decent gym and a small pool. No bath robes.
Great view of downtown SD skyline The service was sub-par. Since they don't have electrical kettles in the room, we ordered some hot water for tea. After 30 minutes and several more phone calls, nothing showed up, even the operator told us she called house keeping several times. We had to give up and find a cafe nearby. The room was not as clean as the Sheraton we stayed at previous night. There are old coffee stains on the carpet, rust marks in the shower. The hot water actually ran out when I took a shower, first time ever at a 4-star hotel. The front desk wasn't that helpful either, keep referring to a printout when asked for recommendations, not exactly concierge level of knowledge of the city as one would expect at a nice hotel.

Great views, amazing beds, spacious rooms, excellent free breakfast in the morning, nice staff, clean rooms, and one of the best locations in the downtown area. Excellent value for the price with short walks to anywhere in the downtown and along the bay, or if you don't want to walk it is a $4~ Uber to Gaslamp/downtown. Will stay again and would recommend to anyone looking to stay downtown!
Good staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, well located if you are staying Down-town or heading to San Diegos Convention Center and you are not in a rush No heating, even cold in May-June. Bit noisy because of the room's and bathroom's door-closing mechanism.
The nice location in the city (downtown, very close to public transport/Airport) and the definetely the price. It was quite packed in the small room with 4 people. Although it it could be somehow expected the pictures on the net are a little bit misleading.
