The location was great! Everything in Little Italy was walkable. Wanna go further? The trolley transit system was about two blocks away. Also, they have an underground garage structure available at $20 per night. The garage was fully protected so there's no worry about your vehicle. My 8 month old son decided to poop in our bed around midnight while I was trying to change his diaper (dark lighting and half asleep). We stripped the sheets off, and then found out that the hotel didn't have any spare bedsheets because laundry didn't come back from the cleaner until Tuesday... It was Monday night. So, don't change diapers in the bed at midnight...?
Well decorated. Good furniture and fixtures. Cool design Pricey for what it is
The hotel is within walking distance to the bay. The front desk and valet staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Glass Door restaurant had great food and the view from the outdoor seating was beautiful!
Really liked location. Near some good restaurants in Little Italy. Pics make the hotel look a lot nicer than it is. Rooms are small, towels are like motel 6 towels but overall a good value.
Everything was clean, many amenities, attentive staff. Recommended!
The location was great. But that's about it. Shower head broken! Tile cracked and falling apart. And most of all the bed was uncomfortable. The main reason why we love to stay at the hamptons is because we love the beds! Unfortunalty this was not the case.
-The room was cute and small -The bed was comfy -Bathroom area had bright light to do makeup properly -Breakfast was decent -Toiletries and amenities provided, fridge and microwave in the room made it easy to keep leftovers -Hairdryer (call the front desk) -Great neighborhood, close to harbor (10 minute walk), I felt safe as a single woman traveling alone, 5 minute drive/20 minute walk to downtown -There was construction going on directly outside my window... I opened my window and there was literally a man on scaffolding looking back at me. I know that is short term-- but was quite alarming when it happened!
the television did not work. it did not had sign. There was a constant noise coming from the wall of my room - a snapp. Everything else was all right. I would come back there in despite this things.
Spacious room with kitchenette. Breakfasts and evening mixers included in the room rate. $100 pet cleaning fee. $14/day for parking.
The property location was desirable. Failure to provide two rooms as promised, Overbooked. Would not admit mistake. Would not make it right.
the location was perfect for us. we enjoyed the free parking the people working the front desk were very helpful. we enjoyed the closeness to little Italy, the wharf is right down the block. the room was clean, bed pretty comfortable. the only thing i wasn't expecting was the spareness of the room. it was a bed tv and bathroom. no more. that being said, we didn't spend too much time in the room, we were out enjoying san diego, so for us, it was fine.
They tried to up charge us for air conditioning
Location was ideal and it was cheaper than the surrounding hotels. The room was clean and had everything you need. Not fancy, but was just what I was looking for.
The hotel (or actually, motel) is located next to the railway, which caused a lot of noise. In addition, the airport is very near, which causes additional noise if a plane lands and uses the trust-reversers to brake. The furniture in the rooms is old and damaged. The breakfast is very plain, with only a choice of waffles and cereals. I was planning to stay for 7 nights, but the price/quality ratio was very bad. I left after 1 night, and had to pay a 2-night fine for leaving earlier. This motel is for sure not the best deal in San Diego.
Friendly staff, nicely appointed space, comfortable rooms, welcoming patio area to enjoy the weather, amazing location in Little Italy and close to Balboa park. Small neighborhood park two blocks away where my daughter played soccer everyday.
No sound-proofing and on a very busy street and planes flying over every morning...
LOCATION, comfortable bed, easy parking, clean room, value, ease of check in We stayed on the bottom floor and we where able to hear the people above us walking around, the bathroom was really small, room decor was dated
The location was the only good quality about this hotel. We were put in a room that had a roach problem, it was disgusting. When I complained to the front desk he did absolutely nothing to compensate me for having to stay in a filthy room. This should be a hotel listed for one night stands, not for a couple wanting to stay waterfront. I will never stay here again.
The hotel was clean and close to lots of fun activities. This is an inexpensive hotel close to the airport. It can be a bit noisy due to its proximity to the airport. It's well kept and clean. If you're just looking for a place to sleep at night this will work well for you.
Not much to like here. Even though it was recently renovated, nothing about this place, including the price, was anything to write home about. Hot and cold water was reversed in the bathroom sink. The bathroom door did not close. No decorations anywhere making the room resemble a monk's room in a monastery! Beds were hard and the bed covers were soiled.
