It was a huge waste of time. They didn’t want to accept the insurance coverage I purchased. They refused to sell me any coverage as well and said I had to use my own car insurance as coverage as well as hold a 1500$ deposit. The location was creepy in the evening. They didn’t have any parking. The place was dirty. The employees were not helpful. I ended up leaving with no rental.Reviewed 11 Apr 2025

I had a terrible experience with this company. They do not accept any insurance other than their own, and if you have already purchased insurance elsewhere, they simply refuse to give you the car. If you decide to buy their insurance, you’ll be faced with an outrageously high price, much more expensive than any other rental company. On top of that, their staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I would strongly advise against renting from them.Reviewed 13 Feb 2025

**BEWARE** I’m not usually a write a review type of person but my experience with them was so bad I had to. So let me start by saying that I am Canadian and took a trip to LA with my wife and we had everything prepared prior to arriving at U-save. When we got there there was a few people in line so they handed us a paper with a clipboard to have everything filled out and ready by the time we got the front of the line. So we did. We did get liability and collision insurance prior to going and even had proof of our U.S insurance but they wouldn’t even look at it and stated it was impossible for us to get insurance because we are Canadian. And then they said it was impossible for us to get a U.S insurance because we didn’t have an American drivers license. They said we HAD to buy their insurance which was conveniently more than the price of the car we were renting. Even our insurance company (who we had on the phone) thought these people were just con artists. Not to mention through all this the manager who happened to be there was extremely rude. Anyways if you go with this company just be prepared to pay much more because they will come up with random charges.Reviewed 19 Nov 2024

The staff at U-Save will treat you like you owe them child support. If you want a good price on a rental but to be treated badly at every step of the check in, car pick up, and drop off process - this place is for you. I felt like they were letting me borrow their own personal car and I was forcing them to walk home. Sorry but it’s the truth.Reviewed 26 Oct 2024

Pick up from airport to rental location is very confusing. Waited for half hour underneath the sun where the shuttle was supposed to come. When it finally came there were many people waiting so couldn't get on. Noone answered their customer service number. Took an Uber to get to their facility. The staff at the location was great. Welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door. One of the staff handed out clip boards to have customers waiting in line fill out the messers paper work to help move them along. The staff was very helpful with the process. They have a great selection of cars. The car was very clean and easy to get on with my trip. Dropping off was super easy and fast.Reviewed 20 Sep 2024

My plane was an hour late and U-Save was the only car place that closed at 8pm, which is kind of ridiculous for an LAX airport car rental service. None of my emails said anything about when it was closing or that I had a pick-up time that was close to closing. When I called, no one answered .
