Thanks to Collin at the front desk, my stay was perfect! He not only upgraded my room, but he ensured me he'd personally handle my concerns and he did just that. The hotel is central to everything downtown and you can walk everywhere. Parking is a drag, as you must valet park and it takes a minimum of fifteen minutes to get your vehicle if you're lucky. It also cost 45.00 a night to park...
Breakfast nothing everything was excellent
I love the design and functionality...the bed is soooo comfortable. Gym was small but nice. air conditioning unit was a bit loud, but not unbearable.
The amenities in the room were very nice; good entertainment and comfort. Great location to downtown core. Parking and access to the hotel is a little difficult, only because it's off Yonge St, the main street downtown.
Great customer service, excellent location, reasonable price for the room service and the entire stay, kitchenette with all gadgets you may need, great facilities... The only drawback was a somewhat noisy AC unit but that did not prevent us from sleeping in a very comfortable bed.
Food and staff were excellent at the Bistro, and location was good. Water pressure was poor in shower and had trouble getting cold water in shower.
I really enjoyed the facilities and the proximity of the hotel. It was great that the hotel was attached to the PATH as well.
Great room, very clean and spacious. Excellent location walking distance to Eaton's Center, St. Lawrence Market and theatre district. Close to Porter shuttle hotel. Workout room was small and parking and drop-off area very busy. Breakfast very expensive at the hotel, but Starbucks located across the street.
They're staff were very accommodating I got a bunch of random charges for 'custom package' and 'upgrade' charge and didnt even get the room i had requested and paid for! It ruined my stay because it felt like a waste of my money. I ended up going down to have them removed, upon check out I had to request the removal of the fees a second time
Getting away Clean quiet
Location Rude staff that are very non accommodating. Very dated rooms
It was a total breeze from start to finish; Great location, Great staff, Clean, Quiet Comfortable!
The staff were very efficient, the room was clean and well designed and the beds were amazingly comfortable! We also really liked the express checkout option which made catching a flight much less harried. No, I would definetely return.
Size of room too small for my preference and too close to lifts heard noise all through the night. Kept me awake .
The facility was clean. The service was very good. The food was excellent. The room was ready early. The parking garage was convenient.
The staff are far superior to any other hotel starting with the most important dept. The doormen & valets. 100% friendly, professional & helpful! Nothing
Location is great. Didn't have meals there but heard good reports. Bottom (fitted sheet) didn't fit the mattress and kept coming off.
Promptness of the staff, concierge was very helpful
We stayed at The Royal York nine years ago so it was so good to see that it was still a delightful place to stay. From our arrival everyone was extremely helpful and friendly and we were so pleased to see Alina in the York Station Bar after all these years....like meeting up with an old friend and her Martinis are amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer and looking forward to the next time. Thank you. Didn't make it in time for breakfast on our last day, our fault wanted to get the packing done and by then the deli-bakery did not have much selection. It was 10.30am. Not much of a complaint is it? PS Haven't looked at your guest reviews on website.
Centrally located, ability to get around downtown underground directly from the hotel, security Room was quite small, for the price would expect a few other in room items to be included like water bottles, robes and slippers, news paper
Location (Toronto downtown) Noisy air conditioning; No light in the wardrobe room (one bulb missing, the other burnt; I had to ask them to fix the problem).
Classic hotel, close to the train station and all of downtown. As always atreat to be a guest.
Location. Easy access to subway and buses.Good restaurant in the hotel and plenty of good restaurants locally. Can feel rather impersonal.
could have used a cash machine somewhere in the building.
The room size, decor, free internet access, and friendly helpful staff Nothing
Our room was spacious and comfortable. I did not realize that guests would have dogs in the hotel. I prefer a pet free location.
Convenience, and super friendly helpful staff. Location was very good. if you want to use subway to get around it is perfect. Would have like to have known remodeling was in process.
The hotel property was immaculate and was in walking distance to many places of interest such as Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market, Distillery area, St. Michael"s Cathedral, SONY Performing Atrs Center and many fabulous restaurants and bars. The employees of the hotel were motivated in making our experience a great one. The concierge staff were most helpful with their suggestions and directions.
The rooms were big and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable; so comfortable that I bought one of their pillows. Only a shower, albeit a large one, but no tub. Room could have used more light.
We were very impressed with The Omni King Edward from the moment we arrived. The service is impeccable. The lobby, rooms, elevators - everything, really - is first-rate. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night, since it was a quick weekend getaway. This was our first time in Toronto, and we will be back - at the King Edward. Valet parking, at CAD$40-45 per day, is a bit excessive. Since we were there on a weekend, it was easy enough to find on-street parking.
The room was great - nice, clean and large. Plenty of stuff within walking distance. Do the hop on hop off bus if you are visiting. needed a new mattress
The hotel is beautiful. Really did a wonderful job remodeling. Rooms are quite large with generous seating areas and extra large bathrooms. Location is great.
Great hotel in an excellent location. The "hop on hop off" bus tour has a stop within 1 block of the hotel. Several good restaurants within walking distance.
The room was beautiful. Our favorite was the Trump chocolate bars. The kids loved the TV embedded in the bathroom mirror. My only complaint was the the lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter. It was a little dim for applying makeup.
Attentive staff Need exhaust fans in the bathroom Lack of TV stations in the lounge - why in Canada could we not see the Stanley Cup playoffs in the lounge???
We inadvertently left somethings in the car that was valet parked. Our bellhop brought our bags up and immediately helped us with our situation. In a few minutes our other items were up in our room. It was so effortless. I also loved how well staffed if was and how ready they were to help us with anything.
People very friendly...Jon twigg very kind to get door leading into our room fixed. Door didn't work..had to wait to get fixed. Room not ready when we arrived at 330pm, had to wait 20 minutes in lobby. Bed not turned down second night we were there. Hairs found in our bathtub..
The location is great. Short walk to everywhere and multiple places to eat nearby. Be aware that you HAVE to valet park, which costs $50 per night per car. They do not give you the option to park yourself.
Everything was great Everything
The room that we've stayed in is very clean and tidy. I also appreciate that there's two LCD tv in our suite...I think its a bonus! As a guest of the hotel, why do we have to pay for parking?!
Exceptional hotel. No breakfast included.
The Cambridge Suites has been reliable. It is close to many attractions and not hard to get to. It is VERY convenient that you can leave your car there until 6:00 after check-out.
The Location Yes, the club is not as should be, it is just name
I compared alot of hotels for our long weekend visit to Toronto. The Cambridge seemed to offer the best value as far as price, location, and you get a suite not just a room. The room were clean, and recently refurbished. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very firm, but we prefer it that way. The hotel has a strictly enforced no noise policy, which is something we appreciated. We were able to get the rest we needed after very full days taking in Toronto. The temperature in the room was a little on the warm side. Not uncomfortable, but we would have preferred it a little cooler. Weather outside was in the 90's. Turning the thermostat down did not seem to help.
We stayed at the Cambridge Suites as part of a weekend getaway. In the heart of downtown and right around the corner from Massey Hall, the Cambridge Suites was withiin walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The suite was spacious and offered every convenience. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens clean and crisp. The room was very quiet and the staff was most accomodating. We would definitely stay here again.
When we booked the hotel there was indoor pool and restaurant . But they have only hottub which is great by the way. After booking , we get an email that restaurant will be closed. That wasnt fair really. Otherwise this is our second stay at cambridge Stafff really nice . Water drain in the living room never got fixed despite complaining. rooms are spacious.
Nice room layout and amenities Very quiet Room heater thermostat did not work well Elevator down button light did not work
Please improve standard amenities, such as glassware as opposed to plastic cups. Hallways were extremely noisy. Bed had no top sheet.
Great location, nice bar and restaurant, friendly staff, For the price, you would think there would be a couple of real glasses and a fridge in the room. We didn't really appreciate flimsy plastic cups.
Great location, great staff at the restaurant/cafe, easy access to parking Reception staff could've been friendlier, bathroom was a bit dated
- Walking distance to many restaurants and entertainment - Staff was very attentive and helpful - Easy access to underground parking - Rooms were out-dated (carpet, wallpaper, etc) - Parking was $28+tax each night
Shady Rooms.... Photos do not represent current room appearance. Needs to be updated.
Location, cleanliness, Restaurant and Bar Staff, Confort. The rooms are in need of a renovation and the Internet available to the customers should be more reliable and fast.
Very clean throughout the entire hotel. Quiet at night. Friendly staff. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Only a 10 minute walk to the Air Canada Centre. Nice workout and pool available for use. The hotel had a parking garage for $35 with in and out access but we parked at the corner public lot for $25 with no in and out access. The staff was friendly however I felt as if they were understaffed. When checking and out we waited in a bit of a lengthy line. There was also no room service menu in our room and when we called and asked for one they said they were busy and to walk to their in house restaurant and get the menu ourselves. Not a huge deal but not the greatest response.
Good customer service, friendly staff, great location to restaurants and beautiful architect building.
Excellent location - easily walkable to waterfront, market, Dundas region, arenas, CN tower, and subway Rooms have been modernized but still relatively small with some older infrastructure
Very convenient. Close to St. lawerence Market, Air Canada Center, restaurants. I would totally stay here again
Affordable and centrally located. Horrible Wifi.
Good location Reasonable rates Single bed option had small rooms
Rooms were pretty clean Staff was friendly No gym (just a deal of paying the next-door full-sized gym $10/workout) No desk or chair in the room They didn't find my reservation when I arrived, took 5-10 minutes to figure it out. Random $23 charge on my credit card at 2am during my stay On my second day, my card key didn't work and they said apparently I checked out that morning...I definitely did not
Location Restaurant on sight has good reasonably priced breakfast Hardwood floors in rooms Rooms are very small but clean
Downtown location Booked a room with two double beds, checked in and given a room with only one bed, then told that there were no other rooms available and that even though we'd booked a room with two doubles on Kayak they wouldn't honor it because they only guarantee room type when booked on their website. The hotel was also incredibly noisy - we could hear every little thing on our floor all night.
The room was nice, large enough for us to not feel cramped There seemed to be a lot of light switches that did the same thing. Also it was a pain to print off tickets we needed. All things were minor details though.
Clean room. Walk across the road to Royal York for access to path! Small room. It's hard to find attendant for morning breakfast if you want to order something.
Great location! Good value for the money. Clean room. Wifi is not free. It took over 20 minutes to drop off my car with the valet.
Very small room, didnt even have a closet or anywhere to hang clothes. Great location Very tiny rooms
Walking across the street you could see CN Tower. Everything was in walking distance. Parking was reasonable and had many options. Safe and clean, overall nice place to stay for a reasonable price.
The overall hotel was cute and small. It was a great location to everything. We didnt have a car and it was close enough to walk, uber, or use the train to get to most of the thigs we wanted to do and see. The rooms were small. I wish there were higher floors with more of a city view. Also the tv was in a awkward location to watch. Breakfast was not included, which would have been nice since we stayed for so long.
The smell in the room
the rooms are very small and parking is hard to find
Nice, clean hotel with comfy bed. Nice staff. Nice little breakfast spot off the lobby. Good locale. No safe, no lounge (bar).
Quite and friendly. Parking my car
Easy walking distance to to all the attractions we were in Toronto to see.....Shopping, Hockey Hall of Fame, Roger's Centre, CN Tower, restaurants, bars, etc. Got a great price via kayak and were pleased with our stay.
The staff was terrific and the location was ideal for me and my family. I didn't use the wifi much but it was very convenient to have it available.
Close to everything in downtown, good breakfast downstairs, staff very accommodating, clean and comfortable, reasonably priced. Nothing I can think of. Add a pool I wouldn't swim or a gym I wouldn't use and add $100 night. You want exercise walk the waterfront.
Excellent location, clean. Staff couldn't bother to look you in the eye, much less greet you. Literally every single front desk staff acted in the same reactive manner--only saying hello in response. Linens were scratchy, towels as well.
Location and proximity to shopping, theatre, and cultural events. The room itself itself was also quite nice.
Good value ,Excellent location for everthing in Toronto, convinent public parking next to hotel.
I liked that it was in close proximity to shopping, restaurants, theater in the downtown Toronto area. Lack of fitness facility on-site.
Good sized room. Comfortable beds. Carpets need to be replaced. They are thin and soiled. Bathroom was very small.
I travel extensively for business, and my requirements are basic: A clean and quiet room, with a comfortable bed, and a functional desk or workspace. This hotel exceeded my expectations. I received excellent service from the front desk, and this friendly "can-do" attitude extended to cleaning and maintenance staff. I wouldn't hesitate to return! There's only one elevator, shared by guests and hotel cleaning and maintenance staff, so you should plan ahead for possible delays (or take the stairs if you're on a lower floor).
The hotel location was very convenient to my meetings downtown.
