Cons: I signage for the hotel was very small making it a little difficult to locate the hotel. We had some pretty loud guests that checked in late during the evening of our stay. You could hear them talking and laughing very loudly in the atrium:courtyard area. There are quiet hours, but this did not seem to be enforced by the staff. My husband got up and opened the door to see what was going on, and the guests quieted down and went to the rooms at that point.

Pros: Hosts were very helpful and courteous. Our luggage was stored on site before our room was ready which allowed us to explore Old San Juan the morning we arrived. We received a phone call when our room was ready and came back to find that our hosts had moved all of our luggage to our room for us.
This is not a traditional hotel but felt more like a guest house. We had our own space, and the room was nice, but not super fancy. There was a common area with a kitchen sink and fridge and some seating, tables. The entrance to the Suites is through a storefront of a jewelry shop.
The Suites are in the heart of Old San Juan and within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and other attractions. We stayed one night and about 24hours total, and it was just right for our needs.

Cons: Common area is right outside the doors to most suites. Our door was not sound-deadening by any means. We were awakened really early by some other guests who seemed to be leaving for the airport for a morning flight.
Also, seems to have some plumbing issues. Although the bathroom was modern and very clean, we were asked not to flush used toilet tissue down the toilet, which was a bit strange for us. A covered waste basket was available and it wasn’t a huge deal but certainly unexpected.
7.0 Good
Pros: No breakfast at all.
Cons: Too much noice.

Pros: Great location for walking around old San Juan. Staff was friendly and helpful. Really good breakfast especially the oatmeal made fresh to order.
Cons: The pool was closed and staff was not made aware. Either way pool is really small not suitable for kids. Booked second night over the phone but apparently was not put into their system so there was confusion over the reservation.

Pros: The hotel is what you see on pics! Loved the bedroom and cleanest! Bed very comfy! Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is good! The lobby is beautiful!
Cons: The money you pay is a little much for the hotel in general. And that they said the breakfast was included but didn’t say what is it exactly until you are going to get it. In this case just a bowl of oatmeal o cereal.

Last but not least, Carmen, the front desk manager/coffee barista was incredibly charming, kind, and knowledgeable. If you're looking for a place to stay in Old San Juan, this is it!
Cons: There is virtually no street parking available which I believe is just a symptom of that part of the city. However, there is a parking garage around the corner but it's a flat rate of $20/24-hrs so be prepared. We also had a difficult time getting to the hotel once we reached Old San Juan due to construction and lots of one way streets. I suggest avoiding the rental car and using some sort of public transport or your own two legs.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was lovely, staff were friendly and location was excellent.
Cons: During our visit there was no running water in the local area and so we couldn’t flush the toilet or have a shower but we were given a 40% refund for the inconvenience
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location.
Cons: The city water was out for the entire time we were there. Not the hotel’s fault, and they did make sure that drinking water was available. However, there was no breakfast due to the lack of water, nor any compensation /refund offered. I’ve worked in hospitality, and the hotel could have either brought in coffee and pastries or offered a refund, as this situation had been going on for a couple of days, and there was time to have a contingency plan. Instead we were given directions to a local cafe who were managing to serve breakfast. I get that this was a difficult situation, but there did not seem to be much effort on the hotels part to smooth things out for their guests.

Cons: We arrived and were three luggage and we had to drag the luggage across un even brick just to get to check-in once we checked in we had to drag all of our belongings to theirs floor we arrived to a prison - cell sized room that was painted pretty, only to find out we were giving the wrong room. We were then told the entire hotel is booked and we had to move up one floor which meant we had to drag our luggage yet another floor on extremely narrow old circular stairs that was impossible to fit one person let alone one person and luggage. I am 5’9” 160 pounds. The place is great maybe for a visit but certainly not to rest. Especially for the rates they are charging

Pros: The beauty of this unique hotel has been well documented. It’s a hotel inside an art gallery and that makes it very special. Loved it. The pool is heavenly. The art amazing.
Cons: The place is bit understaffed, no room service and extremely noisy at night. The noise can’t be helped, but if you are sensitive to it bring earplugs. Some of the rooms are so small and uncomfortable. Ours was no bigger than my walking closet and had no hot water. Luckily the staff was very accommodating and moved us to another bigger room with windows and natural light. The hotel has some rooms that shouldn’t be used as such. Breakfast is just coffee but within walking distance there are plenty of places.

Cons: I had a heavy bag with me. When we checked in we were taken to a room that did not have 2 beds as I had reserved. I had to transport the heavy bag from the first room down a narrow stairwell to the second room up the stairs and across the hotel to get the room we wanted. Help with my bag would have been nice.

Cons: The customer service really falls flat. It was hit and miss with the staff. A couple of the staff were kind and somewhat hospitable, but there were several who weren't. The amenities were also lacking. If you are hoping for comfortable spaces to relax and read a book, you're really going to be disappointed. The breakfast consists of dry cornflakes, doll-size cups for coffee, and sliced bread, and store-bought lemon loaf. We heard a rumor that you could request eggs, but no one on staff mentioned this to us, and the guy in the "kitchen" certainly didn't give you the feeling that he would be happy to make anything...maybe it was his lack of eye contact or his back always turned to guests. We were happy to have stayed there once, but we wouldn't stay there again.

Pros: The architecture and old rustic feel was beautiful. Really a magical place. Staff was pleasant and in good disposition to help.
Cons: It is a beautiful hotel, the only thing I would say that could've been better was that the shower was kinda cold and so was the pool. Also our room had a window high up on the wall that didn't have a curtain and the sun came blazing in early in the morning. Thins like that could've been better, but the place is beautiful.

Cons: We arrived on December 5, 2018. I called on November 29, 2018 to be assured that a late arrival would be ok, as our airline reservation was changed to a later time. When we arrived at Da'house Hotel, at 1:45 a.m., there was no one to check us in. We had to find a different Hotel, the Hyatt Place, and spent $321.00 for room. Pros: Kind young team. Reception 24/7.
Cons: The hotel is very nice from the outside and the lobby area. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel area is a disappointment. We had booked a large room, but it is very simple without hanging facilities. Living out of the suitcase is the motto. We had to get used to the soft, rocking spring mattress. After 4 nights back pain developed for the rest of the time. We did not consider the room to be very inviting. The river floor of the room is old & neglected / dirty, we did not dare to walk baferfoot. It could be cleaner throughout the hotel here and there. Another room had a newly tiled floor. Things are being renewef here and there. The photos promised a nice hotel, unfortunately only on the photos. Personally, I would not spend time there again. Old San Juan is a dream place, which is why we were mainly outside.

Cons: First, there’s no window in our room. The hotel says we were informed of that when booking and then via confirmation email, but I do not recall seeing that. I went back to check the email and there’s a small line that says ‘interior room/no window’. Either way, I don’t understand why a hotel room can have no windows. It was excruciatingly stuffy and humid, and we had trouble falling asleep. Although it was on the 2nd floor, it felt like a basement. When trying to change the mode of the AC, the remote broke down, and we had to go downstairs at 1am to ask for help. The guy did not speak English and he had to call someone else. The sheets were dirty as well. When checking in, we could not enter from the front gate and had to call from the intercom and wait for a while for someone to answer the door. Overall it felt really sketchy.

Cons: No charm at all, which is the point of staying in Old San Juan.

Pros: Young lady at front desk was great friendly accommodating. Bed was a bit hard making it uncomfortable. Room was clean and comfortable. No hot water in the shower early in the morning. Thank god my husband and I bathe in cold water at home. I enjoyed my stay and the location was excellent, in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We spent sometime in the plaza listening to the locals sing and dance, was really nice, family oriented.

Cons: We were given a handicap accessible room with one full size bed and NO window! I had reserved a regular room with a queen size bed! My son n I Were obliged to take the room because it was late, we were told there weren't any more available!

5.0 Okay
Pros: The convenient of a restaurant on the roof. They allowed us to check in a few hours early. It was located in the center of Old San Juan. Nice to wonder around town and check out local amenities.
Cons: Room was small but expected. Bathroom was even smaller, slightly dingy, sink counter hanging off the wall. When we arrived the air condition was not working and the hotel had a unique odor (not sure if from the restaurant?) After a few hours the Air condition was in working order. The elevator definitely needs some upgrades, felt as if could break down at any time. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. They had a disappointing "continental breakfast" available for guests at the rooftop restaurant for a small price.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location can not be beaten. Perfect for all cruise ships. A good feel of local life, close to sea front and the lady at breakfast was lovely and pleasant. Bed was comfy.
Cons: Groups gathered blocking the entrance waiting for restaurant - intimidating. Opened blinds to find we were opposite a derelict building with broken windows. No basic toiletries provided. Avoid the lift if you have any sort of lift phobias. Mid-shower, water stopped. Rubbed the shampoo out with a towel and headed to reception. Staff not bothered. The town had issues from the day before but we weren’t warned on check in. Problem left with me to deal with. Couldn’t wait to get on the ship for a wash. Unacceptable and no solutions offered. Compensation? No chance.
