Eugene hotels near Alton Baker Park

Cons: I did not like constantly hearing the sound of water rushing through the pipes. It kept me up most of the night. When I checked out, the guest in front of me told the person behind the desk that he and his family hardly slept because of the sound of the water in the pipes. He suggested you insulate the walls.

Cons: The shower didn't work and would not get hot either.

Cons: There was some dirty pillow cases on the bed. The ceiling over the shower was very moldy. Overall it was okay.

Cons: Nothing

Cons: Bed cover too heavy. Was almost no counter space at sink. Air conditioner rattled. Continental breakfast food barely warm. Very crowded dining area. Parking lot was too small for this hotel. I could not find a place to park after returning from dinner with my family.

Cons: Rooms are dark and smelly. Feels dirty. Tiny, scratchy towels with a bar of soap and cheap combo bottle of shampoo/conditioner. Parking lot overcrowded especially with uhauls and trucks. Fitness center was a treadmill and broken down combo equipment piece. Pool cloudy and smelly. Far overpriced for a "motel 6" place.

Cons: We oiled hear loud neighbors lol night talking and banging furniture against our common wall. Walls didn't appear to be very sound proof.

Cons: Maintenance guy doing loud repairs in stairwell next to room before 9 am Sunday morning. I am a marine painter/blaster that works long hours multiple days of the week. I was looking for a late start to my day Sunday morning. Rude!

Cons: Stinky hall,no shower curtain,TP holder improperly installed,uninformed staff

Cons: I am fine with almost everything except with how Hilton and the staff handled my situation with the room. I originally booked the King Executive Jr suite. However, when I got there, they said there was a problem with the toilet in the room that they sold it to me. As a result, I was only given the choice of a double queen room or a standard King size room. I asked about other King exec suites but they said they cannot change to others. I then asked about the big price difference between the available rooms and if I can be compensated or refunded in anyway. They said they can't refund and they simply gave me a coupon (worth 35 dollars total for 2 people) for breakfast and free parking that is worth like 20 dollars. I was then put into a stand King room. Totally a joke. Super disappointed on how they dealt with my situation.

Cons: I got charged $19 for parking. Unaware this would be the case.

Cons: I’ve stayed there twice since it has opened and both times the pool has been closed for maintenance. I don’t think they have even opened once since opening this remodeled hotel.

Cons: When I booked online, they didn't state the extra charges. Parking - $17 per night, Pet fee - $50 and the restaurant food was spendy too! If I had been aware of these fees, I would have been able to compare rates better with other hotels. Other than that, I would have given this place a 5.

Cons: The service at the restaurant is terrible. The food is okay. The room is just better than okay. We are Hilton honors members and shouldn't have had to pay for parking, but after we left our emailed bill said we were charged. I guess I get to make that call later.

Cons: Pool was cold , needs more washers and dryers

Cons: Room had an overwhelming smell of cleaner/bleach when we arrived. Several hours with the window wide open and fan running resolved it. But then the dog odor became noticeable. Carpet seemed dirty. Dirty light switches. Bathroom and bedding were clean. Only toiletry items were soap and make-up remover pads. No shampoo or lotion.

Cons: Be careful when booking this hotel with the intention of bringing your pet. First they charge you an additional $10/night in order to get a "pet friendly" room, then when you get there they charge you an additional $20/night for actually bringing your pet. So in essence, there is a $30/night fee for pets which is much higher than other hotels in the area. Not to mention the rooms are musty smelling and in spite of their claim that the hotel was recently renovated, the rooms are far from the nicest in town. Do yourself a favor and choose one of the newer hotels in the Gateway area of town, you'll be glad you did!

Cons: We called a head to make sure the pool, spa and fitness would be open and upon arrival the disappointment that they where all unavailable put a dampener on the experience. Not worth over $100 a night

Cons: The room was dark with not a lot of natural light. Bathroom countertop space was limited. We had 2 queen beds and there was not a lot of space between beds and cabinets. But everything I needed for a great weekend!

Cons: The only downfall that I had was, that the bathroom was to small.

Cons: Nothing I didn't like honestly. Literally exactly what I was looking for. Affordable, comfortable, available!

Cons: Room a bit small and dated furnishings. But everything worked and the help was nice.

Cons: The TV reception left much to be desired and the location was sketchy... still a great value and we'll worth the price.

Cons: Limited Parking within the hotel parking area. If you get back late you wont find a place to park and you will have to go to the overflow parking across the street. Access to the hotel is off a one way street and somewhat difficult to access if your going the wrong way. Toilet in the room was not working well and I had to get a plunger and plunge the toilet multiple times. Shower handle poorly installed and difficult to get it in the right position to turn on and then turn off. Water pressure was very limited. (My room was on the third floor).

Cons: They charge for Internet despite the giant sign blinking "wifi here". I suppose it's not dishonest but certainly disingenuous.

Cons: It didn't feel at all safe, although I was told by staff this was a strange night. I checked in and went to my room, and everything was fine. Then, around 10:30pm, it felt/sounded like something large and heavy had been thrown against the wall joining my room to the one next door. This occurred every 5-10 minutes until I finally called the office around midnight. The girl in the office said she would call the room and ask them to quiet down (not the best option, in my opinion...). Maybe 20 minutes went by before it happened again. Then 5 minutes later. Then it was quiet... and then at nearly 1:00am, there was a crash like an adult throwing himself against the adjoining wall full force. I went to the office and ended up moving to another room... at 1:15 in the morning. Finally got to sleep in the new room... only to be woken up at 4:00am by someone KNOCKIMG ON THE DOOR. I don't know anyone in Eugene, and yet someone was knocking on the door repeatedly and pleading to be allowed inside. At 4:00am. I called the office and informed them of the issue, and it quieted after a few minutes, but I got MAYBE 3 hours of sleep that night. To her credit, though, the manager on duty, Linda, said she would refund my stay when she heard of my difficulties. I'd booked through Expedia, though, who did refund the stay after confirming with Linda. But I won't soon forget that stay... and I won't be back to the Eugene South Motel 6.

Cons: It was a very small roomand nothing fancy but I really don't mind that.

Cons: The room we were checked into previously had a pet in it and I am extremely allergic. I could not spend five minutes in there. There were bugs on the bedding as well. After finally getting a new room, this one didn't have the fridge and microwave that I'd paid for. The pool ended up being closed for maintenance. The shower was designed to make it impossible to NOT flood the floor. For all the inconvenience I experienced, I wasn't offered a discount. I will never stay there again.

Cons: Didn't have our room cleaned and ready to be checked into until an hour after check in time. No shampoo. Not so great.

Cons: Our room had a vague musty sort of smell to it, but it was a decent place to stay for a night.
