Valet service for 30 a day was best option for parking and staff was prompt. The furniture was ripped. Down comforter was ripped. Bottom of toilet was dirty. Room was by an alley so was a nosey Monday morning with trash pick up. No need for a Wakeup call that's for sure. And could smell exhaust fumes in room that morning as well.
Beautiful and comfortable hotel, staff was very accommodating and kind, good location
Excellent Restaurant Excellent Staff
I liked that we could get place to place with no problems in our car. But it wasn't anything too special. I didn't like the rude valet people I didn't like the bed or the room I didn't like that they came in our room without asking did we want it to be cleaned. I would have rather stayed at The Ebassy Sweets in Baltimore I could have splurged and gave them that extra $100 and would have had a better nights rest. Also I didn't like that you could hear the street people yelling outside of room 1018. Over all I would not stay here again. THIS IS A ONE NIGHT AND KEEP IT MOVING TYPE OF HOTEL!
The architecture of the building was stately and held historical significance, while the interior had many, stylistic, and modernized updates. The foyer and main lobby were visually stunning. The parking attendants were helpful, and the overnight fee was only fifteen dollars, excellent for the city. The room was clean and comfortable. We went to our room to discover that it was not the King Deluxe room that I booked online. I was informed that the booking had not come through as a King Deluxe; I verified that I had been charged for the King Deluxe. The gentleman from the front desk apologized and offered to change the room ; I declined since my wife and son were already settled. He did give me a credit to the restaurant.
My only complaint is that the computers did not seem to be working in the office area. Otherwise, it was a great experience!
Staff was excellent as usual
Good, central location Rooms were comfortable and well equipped Bed was comfy Staff was friendly Noisy street, could hear sirens all night long
Lobby space, staff, food options all excellent Rooms are old but clean with excellent bedding and sheet. 3 star bathrooms but clean. Fine maid service.
Attended a wedding held here at the hotel, that was great and held in the ballroom with cocktail hour on the mezzanine level, a beautiful setting indeed! Room was fine with a comfortable bed, location to the Inner harbor and Convention Center is excellent. Everything was fine.
I like the rooms and the classy look. I was Here on business and went outside for a smoke break and in the middle of the night a few black men tried and rob me and I tried to defend myself and I was latterly jumped by a group and there was no one at the hotel that helped me . I can't believe they would allow such horrible activities and behavior in front of the hotel with no one there willing to help protect their customers. And than I asked for a security tape to see why and how it all happen and their response was they know nothing. How can you let such hateful and violent things happen as letting your customers get hurt and no one there to help protect the people who stay at the hotel. I see the staff and people at the hotel can care less what happens at the hotel or outside their front door. I can't believed they had the nerves to tell me I'm still being charged for the room for 3 days after the same night I showed up I was in the emergency room till the next morning and they had the nerve to still charge me . I see the hotel people can care less what happens there as long as they get their money . How can the hotel let such horrific things happen in their presence and expect for people to feel comfortable renting a room there . That's the worst experience I've ever endured staying at a hotel. I was in the emergency room with a broken nose and broken rib cage and no one wanted to help me . They practically just looked the other way. If that's how hotels operate and let their customers get hurt and possible killed than I will never rent and or be a client for that hotel ever .
Upon check in, Ashlie greeted us and made sure we were well taken care of. Our West Point cadet was to meet us and she saw to it that he would not have to sleep on the ground as wel were previously told by front desk when I previously called. A big hug to Ashlie for being so kind and making our stay very comfortable and easy.
On a business trip - checked in at 2pm and because check-in wasn't for a bit, front desk helped me out. "Upgraded" me to an amazing suitt overlooking Camden yards. It was a rainy cold night, and the orioles were not in town. I can appreciate upgrading someone when neither of the above were factors. The room (667) had great views and hangout areas, BUT NO BED!!! WAS RELEGATED TO A PULL OUT COUCH DESPITE PAYING TOP DOLLAR!!
The location was great, right next to Camden Yards to see the Orioles baseball game. Hotel reservation could not be found and they were not helpful. Our room was not cleaned until 3 pm and we needed towels. The indoor pool was cold, not heated and was so cloudy and dirty you could not see in it!!! Coffee shop/restaurant had long lines.
We traveled here for a one night trip to attend an Oriole's game. The ball park is immediately next to the ball park and you can actually see the park from most of the rooms. It's also abuts the convention center in addition to having its own meeting space. Would be an excellent place for a conference or to stay for an event at the convention center. The coffee bean and tea leaf was excellent and the room was clean enough and pretty comfortable. Really wanted to use the pool with our baby but it was incredibly cold. That was a big bummer. Also didn't know it was pet friendly and we had a dog that was pretty unhappy near us.
Couldn't even check in 1 hour early. Stayed here due to proximity to Camden Yards so we could park and not have to worry about our vehicle. When we arrived we were told they didn't have room to valet our car because of the game, which is the entire reason we picked this hotel. Whatever. We went to the 4pm baseball game and came back to check in. They gave us keys to a room occupied by another family. Went back to the front desk and was told they had no room for us because of a flood and they were waiting for a room to become available. Said we could go to the pool and then get dinner. While in the pool they told us the restaurant was closing early so we would have to order carryout. We ordered carryout at 9:30pm and didn't receive our food until 11:15pm because we were told to wait in the lobby by the front desk staff and apparently our food was taken somewhere else. My 3 kids aged 5 to 10 were miserable waiting until after 11pm to eat. Finally got into our room around midnight. Complained the next day to the manager and was told we wouldn't have to pay for our stay. It's been over a week and we are still waiting for the credit to our account. Called the accounting department, left message and never heard back from them. When we were there it was very apparent many people were having numerous problems with the hotel including 15 minute waits for the elevator. It was also apparent management is not willing to roll up their sleeves and get things done. They appeared more likely to be found hiding in a back room somewhere.
My room over look at Camden yards as does the executive lounge Mattress needed to be replaced, digital key did not consistently work, executive lounge food and beverage not as good as most
The location was convenient. The staff was rude. It took 3 hours to "find" my reservation, it was dusty, dirty, hairy, ac unit wouldn't work and extremely overpriced. At 8 in the morning a woman who worked there put her ear to our door waking us all up tapping and when I opened the door she said she was just checking to see if we were all there. Checkout was at noon.
Loved the location Besides from the hookers on our floor from room to room, the fighting in the hallway at 1am in the morning and the party going on down the hall with employees and guest with drugs being used
Stayed there as we had come in town for an Orioles game. The hotel is across the street from Camden Yards and the gym has an awesome view of the park. Overall nice facilities and upscale feel. It's also a block from the Light Rail station so getting there from BWI is very inexpensive ($1.70) although parking was $35.00 a night of you drove. Some normal amenities were missing, no breakfast although a Coffee Bean is in the lobby. Charged a fee to use things like the conference room and the business center has the computers set up so the sun is at your back and difficult to read the screen.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was chronically understaffed. Groups left without receiving their food due to the long wait.
Beautiful accommodations, great view of Camden fields, well priced, pool was nice, coffee bean in lobby, a great place to stay whether it's for business or pleasure! - staff was extra accommodating
View was great of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay and recommend to my friends and family.
Since the hotel was so big it was very impersonal so I guess that is what you get for a large hotel. The service was Omni the certainly not incredible.
Staff was awesome They told me water was going to be turned off from 9:00 til 1:00 which was okay cause woke up in the morning to go to the aquarium came back around 6:00 and still no water. When the water did come on had no hot water.
Location There was no hot water and wifi does not work
After reading some of the reviews about the AC and readiness of the rooms, I called ahead and made sure everything was working because this was my 1 year anniversary. When we arrived, everything was in place, they gave us a high corner bedroom, and Matt gifted us a complimentary bottle of Champagne! It was a very pleasant surprise for us and really helped make a great evening. The pool was closed and it was a great day for it. They night staff wasn't really prepared for addressing common needs such as getting amenities.
Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfast options were limited.
Convenient location Hotel was okay for people it serves
Location Served purpose to watch a ball game at Camden Yards Upon arrival was told not to unload bags..had to park in parking garage (hidden $20 more dollars) and walk bags in a long distance. Check in staff not friendly at all. In house bar staff below average attitudes.
Staff were super friendly and nice. Our room was clean and comfortable and our view was great! Nothing
Very pleasant staff, very spacious room, the room was extraordinarily clean. I'm glad I stayed there I'm told the facility will be upgraded which will be nice. Still, it is very nice for the money I paid to stay there. It was nice having a continental breakfast. The lady coordinating the continental breakfast is very cheerful and pleasant. Good value. I hope to stay there again. nothing. All was fine
Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a bit outdated and a little rundown.
The hotel itself and our room was clean and nicely decorated. Our room smelled clean and inviting and it was also quite spacious with a great view even though we paid for one of the more inexpensive rooms. The only negative part of our experience with this hotel was that the air conditioner in our room wasn't working properly. It got really hot over night during our stay and we couldn't get the a/c to turn on, not even the simple fan would work. We paid about 150.00 for this nice room and would have expected something as simple and necessary as the air cooling system to be functioning. We slept through the night with no covers and feeling uncomfortably hot.
Convince to the ballpark and surrounding waterfront restaurants Nothing really to speak of
Room had plenty of space, bed was comfortable. Very clean hotel and staff was very friendly. No outlets by the bed. No complimentary coffee in lobby. I prefer to stay where breakfast is included.
I liked the location. I had booked a deluxe king room and prepaid. When I arrived I was told that there were no more deluxe king rooms available and the only room available had two beds and bunk beds. Confused I showed the gentleman behind the desk my conformation with room type and he told me that there was no guarantee on room type. He was rude and said thats all they had and if I didn't want it I could stay somewhere else. When I got into the room, there was an entire wall with a dog mural staring at me. The room wasn't clean, carpet dirty, hair in sink, then I walked into the bedroom and it is the strangest decor I have ever seen. Hip doesn't mean nothing matches and the most unattractive color palate ever! The furniture was visibly beat up, scratched and marks all over. The wall had multiple black marks all over and the toilet was running. I put my things down and headed to the front desk before leaving for dinner to advise them of the running toilet. Upon my return 2 hours later, as I opened the door to my room and the toilet was still running and I went to call the desk. My room was facing the the windows of other hotel rooms and I found myself rushing to close the curtains because a man across the way was watching me and being "self serving" - not the hotels fault, I know, but very creepy none the less. I wet down to the desk to ask about my toilet and the new gentleman at the desk said he had no record of my earlier complaint and there was no one from engineering to be able to fix it. I asked for another room and he said there weren't any, so I went upstairs and promptly checked out at 12:30 am, off to find another hotel. I asked not to be charged, but since I had prepaid, he said there was nothing he could do.
Clean, rooms are huge, bathroom was great, so many both towels! It's still Baltimore... You can walk to 7/11 but still be mindful of where you are at.
Location and staff were very friendly and gave recommendations for local restaurants. Our room keys for some reason kept giving errors, they would alternate so we would have at least one working key at any given time. So the staff was very used to seeing us.
The free coffee in the morning and yoga mat in the room. Had to request coffee in the room. I wish you could do that when you book the place so it's there when you check in.
Everything!! No problems.
the staff was fabulous!!!he room was great exceptfor the lighting. There was a great chair to read in but no lamp there.Te room was too dark.Other than that, it was great.
Classy building built in 1906. Rooms nicely appointed. Top notch service and friendly and helpful staff. Closet doors stuck. In-room safe didn't work. DIYers would not feel too comfortable here.
The Monaco was located in walking distance to the inner harbor and the subway line was across the street. The business center was on the pricey side.
I was attending a conference for most of the trip, and my partner also joined to check out local sites. It was a decent location within walking distance to a number of good restaurants and museums. The room was somewhat small and the floor appeared to not have been vacuumed in a while (as noted by the dozens of small beads that were from a bracelet of a former inhabitant). I find the sliding bathroom door to be somewhat unusual since it didn't allow for privacy in the slightest. Lastly, we had to go to the front desk once a day to get the room key cards re-magnetized, so that we could enter the elevator to the room and our room.
It was a great hotel with an interesting history. It was in a good location within easy walking distance to waterfront destinations, the convention center and the subway is across/down the street too. The bathroom and hotel room was really spacious. We would stay there again. Really the only thing my husband and I didn't like was that the shower doesn't have a door only a partial glass wall, but it was no big deal.
The staff were great - so friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean and beautiful, and very unique. Awesome shower, and overall we loved it.
Very helpful staff, great, clean and cozy room. We appreciated the rollaway, which was really far beyond the cot-like thing we had sort of expected (we added another person to the room after making the reservation, so knew it would be tight). We really appreciated the help with that and with extra toothpaste/brush. Thankful that quality is always high across any Kimpton hotels I've stayed at. It seemed like it would have been helpful if there were more staff on-hand at peak times for check-in, etc. Staff was great and helpful, but having worked at a front desk, this one seemed like it could have benefited from a few more people.
I liked how convenient it was to the Baltimore M&T Bank football stadium and was in walking distance, making it easier for me to save money. I did not like that the parking was $28.
Location Tiny bathroom
This "Days Inn" is in very good condition. The lobby is beautiful, The night staff are kind and accommodating, And the room is well equipped. I do not feel like I was properly informed of the $26 parking fee. Had I known this i would have stayed somewhere else. Also there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways in a non smoking section.
very friendly staff, clean room, comfortable very crowded, hard to get an elevator at certain times due to large crowd
Convenience to convention center No continental breakfast
Good location, friendly staff, everything was kept clean, room was clean, and beds and pillows were quite comfortable. Parking in the garage is 29$ a night/car which is no discount off regular garage price. It doesn't need to be free but it's way too expensive.
Great location, close to inner harbor. Friendly and helpful staff. Great price.
Days Inn is crossing the street from the Convention Center. It has lots of food places nearby. Also, Cardem Yards is 3-5 minutes away (walking distance). Location is perfect for a walk. Furthermore, Light trail from the Airport to Cardem Yards is just $1.70 per person, or so. The tub didn't drain. However, staff were addressing the issue the day we left. Apparently the situation was happening in the whole floor. Dispite that, the place is great value for the money.
Person that checked us in was the best . Location and price was very good . Also food and bar were tops. Room was so hot , turned the Ac on and would only run for about 3 mins every 30 mins . Also fool by unit was wet and bathroom floor had water all over it had to put towels down . Room number 230 . Next morning coffee bar, lady working was sick coughing and not washing hands manager toll her to close after my order. Small things make big deals .
Friendly, and helpful staff. Loved the attached grille. Small bathrooms.
Liked that all the employees I came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Except for the guard in Saturday morning when we arrived. Was not very friendly. Watched me park get out of my car walk to the hotel door then said I could not park where I parked. I had parked where if said guest parking for 15 minutes. I did not park where there was a sign specifically reserved for a certain person. I told her I was not I that spot. I said there was nothing posted but she said had to move anyway. My question is why would she watch me park get out come to the door then tell me to move. Other than that I was very satisfied. Room a little small. But not an issue.
Convenience was the main thing. The restaurant had an adequate buffet. Much cheaper than most buffets in the Inner Harbor. The staff was friendly, helpful and engaging. The rooms were clean and roomy. The cost was very good. I booked these rooms on Booking.com and they cost me $112.00 per night per room. There was nothing else comparable in the Inner Harbor close to that price. I stayed three night and the parking cost me $84.00 for that time period. I thought that was exorbitant. Everything was fine.
I love the pool and sauna. I love the bed sizes. I like the courteous guest services and front desk employees. Best swimming pool in the national capital region. Hands down. I did not like having to pay $25 for a night of parking and I absolutely did not like paying $16.95 for a buffet breakfast that was literally the same quality as a normal buffet at a days inn or a budget hotel. I would pay for a breakfast if it was a decent breakfast, but this was really substandard. Dry hard muffins, a toaster that was not working, dry dry plain eggs, fruit that looked old. This breakfast needs to be free or the menu and the cooking changed immediately.
Was impressed with the room for cost. Staff was helpful. Parking was expensive and low ceiling No breakfast.
Proximity to ballpark.
The location was great, staff were nice, and all basic services and amenities were in place. The building's age is starting to show (lost an elevator bank for half a day during our stay, leaving 1 public elevator and 1 service elevator to serve 12 floors of rooms). Parking price is $25/night and parking keys aren't always coded properly. Cheaper parking might be available at nearby garages (saw some at $20/night). Room price was absurd because of I stayed during a convention weekend, but even considering that, the costs were pretty abusive ($400 a night is a prime Times Square price; Baltimore should never command that sort of fee). Most of the Inner Harbor hotels were charging in that range, and prices for convention weekends are now steep enough that I'll be looking to stay off property, then drive in/garage my vehicle to save a couple hundred bucks a day.
Location was perfect. In walking distance to anything we wanted to see. N/a
The staff was excellent, beyond polite! Best room service breakfast ever.
Friendly, efficient staff. Nice restaurant and bar. $25 a day parking charge.
Staff was helpful in recommending eating, transportation, directions. Just genuinely kind and helpful. Breakfast was expensive and poor quality.
Good location. Safe. Room was fine The lack of an included breakfast and the fact that the buffet was 15 bucks. Seemed a bit steep.
Bed was comfortable, location was convenient. No hot water from the sink.
Room layout Business set up (wi-fi, printing) Convenient location Staff is cheerful Valet is great, but call down in advance
Plenty of room
Very satisfied overall, especially with the breakfast and the coffee station that was stocked at least until 5:00 PM. Room was very spacious, and comfortably held three of us. The key car I had quit working four or so times over just a few days, which was frustrating.
Perfect room for the money spent Police sirens sounding off all the time
Clean rooms, comfy beds, ideal location to M&T Stadium and Inner Harbor
Location to Ballpark and Stadium Hotel is seriously showing its age inside and out.
It was a nice place to stay, nothing extridinary. The acoustical value of our room was horrendous. We could hear our neighbors conversation. Could also hear people's conversations in their rooms as you walk by the entry door. Even heard a couple having relations walking by their room. We won't be staying there again.
Close to Convention center. Great renevations. Comfortable room. Used to have a really super Buffet. Now its good but pretty limited; no smoked salmon or other higher quality items normally expected at an upscale facility (with an upscale price of $19) & provided by its competitors. Also, I was charged for the room (interestingly at a lower price than I paid to Kayak) as they had no record of the prepayment! I called HotelBeds and they are working on it.
The hotel was in a great location and beds were very comfortable. I booked the hotel because it said kid friendly. After reviewing the website, I realized there was nothing to keep kids entertained. I tried to cancel but was told no refunds. We decided to make the most of it. My 5 year old was going a little stir crazy in the room so we decided to walk around. He saw an escalator and would go up and come down the stairs. I was told he was not allowed to do that. I figured it was high up so they didn't want him to fall down. We went to the other side where there was only 4 stairs. Again I was told he was not allowed to do that. He wasn't running or bothering the quests. I could have allowed him to run up and down the hallways (which I thought was inappropriate) to let out some energy, but decided going up and down the stairs was a better option. I felt as if my family was not welcome. Why label yourself kid friendly, when you prefer not having kids there. I was truly disappointed.
For the price, the place was clean enough, close walk to the harbor and fine for a few night stay The facilities weren't great, particularly the hot water was lukewarm at best
Nothing Elevator didn't work you had to take the stairs, sheets on bed had stains on it, window looked out onto a brick wall approx 6 inches away, alarm on door went off every 20 seconds. The guy at the desk was nice he refunded our money and told us he didn't blame us for leaving
Staff was fantastic for all that my group put them through (we needed several extra blankets and towels, realizing this in two trips). Room was quiet, but only suitable for one adult. Staff was also kind enough to call a cab for us when we were running late so the cab could meet us when we got to the lobby; this ended up making all the difference in the world. Room was VERY small, there were small blood stains on the sheets and one of the pillows, wasn't crazy about the air conditioner in the room, bathroom had NO circulation whatsoever (so after a shower it was too humid to breathe) and bathroom door was as creaky as something out of a horror movie, so it woke everyone up whenever someone had to take a bathroom run in the middle of the night.
The bed The view and cramped hallways
The hotel staff were very pleasant and polite. The condition of this hotel is poor. Light fixtures broken. Elevator not in proper working order. The bathroom still had shampoo bottles from the last guests on the top ledge in the shower. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were aweful and small and lumpy and old. The whole place. The staff is very nice.
The hotel and rooms were clean. Very close to all major downtown Baltimore venues including the Convention Center, Aquarium, Inner Harbor, etc. Rooms are small. Location is a little rough. Travel with a group for safety.
I Love The Presentation Of It All..... The Flashing Lights On The Headboard Was Awesome.... It Made Our Stay Romantic, Sexy And Was Something To Look Forward To. The Water Didn't Really Get Hot.
The beds were comfortable, but also had no Comforters. The rope light flickering mood wall was cool to look at since a previous guest had smashed the TV and it didn't even turn on. The sink didn't drain, there was no climate control whatsoever (there was a programmable thermostat in the room, but I don't think it was attached to anything) so, would advise against staying here late may- early October unless you like sleeping in extreme heat. TV was 100% broken, but luckily the wifi worked so I could watch Internet TV. Staff did 0 to change anything. I'm really surprised Best Western has their name on this place. As a traveller with low standards this place has exceeded them. Don't ignore the reviews like I did. Or you too will end up brushing your teeth in the bath tub.
No elevator service for my whole 4 days' stay and I stay on the 5th floor No new towel for 3 days The TV remote control is not working and the front desk promised to fixed it but it never return No battery in the thermostat and battery is not available in front desk One card key prepared for two customers None smoking room but cigarette butt on stairwell Strong ammonia smell in stairwell etc
The only thing positive I can find to say about this hotel is that it wasn't infested with bugs. I'm still not sure why, given the complete absence of cleaning services. Room was need of repair: door deadlock wouldn't latch, shower door replaced by curtain held by pipe clamps, broken towel rack, peeling wall paper, sticky floor and elevator. No cleaning service for entire week. Took 24+ hours to get broken glass picked up, small shards still in carpet. Desk staff inactive and indifferent. Wifi slower than a fax machine. Would not provide alternative room nor offer refund.
Pretty dumpy but for the price it is understandable. Everything was working in our room but the beds weren't very comfortable. Some makeup stains on the towels and it was located in a sketchy part of Baltimore.
That it was close to the royal farms Arena for our concert The place was run down, I never though hotels like this existed. Some doors wouldn't close all the way or lock. The front desk said that if our room wasn't clean they would have to move us to a different hotel??? What? I booked my room a month in advance. My wife and I had friends staying also and when they got to their room the front door was broken so it wouldn't close or lock and the room was still dirty. The elevator had a mind of its own and wouldn't even goto the floor you selected... Press 3 it will take you to 6. This place is not for anyone to stay at period. Spend the extra $15 and go somewhere else.
If you intend on not spending much time in the room its a perfect spot from which to explore Baltimore If you intend on spending any extended period in your room this will not be value it appears to be. It is decrepit, and the adjective has never found a more fit descriptor
cheap you get what you paid for. dingy rooms. flashy on the outside, very bad interiors. lights are poor. Wifi is also so slow. when asked for a reason, I was told to use the free wifi off the street(downtown wifi). breakfast has rotten apples, poor quality yogurt. The restaurant closes unusually early in the evening. There are so many homeless people roaming around the hotel building. Felt extremely unsafe. not good for families at all.
