Hong Kong hotels near Hysan Place

Cons: We dined in the top floor restaurant Above and Beyond and had the Peking Duck set menu with a wine pairing. Here, unfortunately, the highly attentive service became intrusive and absurd. For example, someone comes every minute to check on your table and rather than a casual glance this check includes a careful study. The servers would often jump in to do something unnecessary and pointless such as turning the water bottle so that the label faces you or randomly realigning items on the table in a fussy manner. And if you had the temerity to top off your own water glass, someone would jump in and grab the bottle form your hand. Aside form the overbearing service, the meal was only okay. The duck was tasty, but most of the other flavors were no more than ordinary. And the wine pairings were similarly undistinguished. Considering that the meal (at HKD 2000) was by far the most expensive one we had in 4 days in Hong Kong, it was a very poor value for money. I recommend going elsewhere despite the high rating this place receives on Trip Advisor.

Cons: Not much. It's large but has the amenities available to a hotel such as concierge (he was terrific) and laundry service.

Cons: (1) given the handicapped room. The basin was too low for washing (2) The second day after the room cleaning of room 765, 2 women’s underwear were found (3) room 755 had bloodstain on the beige bed underskirt. (4) only one elevator worked as the other one under maintenance- major waits and inconvenience as had to wait a couple of trips due to it being full (5) cockroach in the elevator near the pool (6) the green clean room special only offered $50 hkd on the buffet... nothing else.

Cons: Breakfast was too simple.....nothing to eat. In addition, staffs are not very friendly....one staff at concierge was even unkind.....

Cons: We had a great stay, but a lot of it was due to promotions. Our room had free wifi and we had a special rate since I booked far ahead of time. The wifi signal could be stronger, and the TV channels were a bit limited. There was construction next to the hotel, which somewhat took away from the otherwise nice view of the harbor. The view did have a highway between the room and harbor though, so don't go in expecting a harborfront room.

Cons: Run of the mill things expensive Dinner in 188 on NYE chaotic (no main course still after three hours) which is unacceptable given the price

Cons: A little bit out of things, although they is an MTR station 5 minutes walk away. The area around the hotel isn't the smartest, although it seems perfectly safe.

Cons: I arrived to the hotel at 16:00 after long flight and they told me that my room is not ready and that I will have to wait until 22:00 for room!

Cons: Wifi signal in room was so weak. Nearly unusable.

Cons: My only complain: the room carpet! It need a renovation quickly. It damages all the room look&feel, as well as the overall experience as its showing signs of wearing out and looks just kind of filthy (even though it might be “clean”).

Cons: There are a few things that would be helpful if the hotel can improve on: 1. Offering free shuttles to different parts of the city on an hourly basis rather than the current schedule they have. 2. Create 1-2 more hooks inside the bathroom to hang a wet towel or clothes. 3. Provide a visual sign for where the free hotel shuttle would stop in Tsim Sha Tsui for passengers to board (currently there is no sign on the street and the hotel did not make this clear on the bus schedule file). 4. Suggest apps and websites where hotel residents can figure out the public bus schedule and the exact stops each bus line makes.

Cons: Lack of power ports. Hotel is not located near downtown Kowloon. Local restaurant selections are fewer than downtown. The hotel buffet for dinner and breakfast are expensive, but I did not find them worth the price.

Cons: The pool wasn’t open ( under renovation) which was a bit of a bummer.

Cons: Dated facilities such as bathroom fixtures. Hotel exterior is being worked on, so all the windows are blocked. There is absolutely no view. If I had known there will be no view, I would have went with 2 other Marco Polo sister hotels on the same street for less money.
