Pros: I still have my car rental. Not sure why I am receiving this email now.
Pros: It was a bit slow but not a problem.
Cons: I don't remember what car I got but, it wasn't what we asked for. It was another "similar" car that they always give a renter.
Pros: New car. Lots of features.
Cons: No one around to explain features of the car. Had to return the car two weeks early due to covid 19. Did not get a partial refund for those two weeks. Was contacted by P.R. person when I gave them a poor review who seemed like he might give me a partial refund but I believe they are now in bankruptcy proceedings so doubt I will see it.
Cons: I was charged much more than what I was told in line total. They charge me extra which I never asked for or agreed on. But because it was very late and dark and people are waiting on the quie so, I signed the paper without knowing they have all this extra charges .
Pros: The staff did his job. He said he gave me an upgrade, but who needs an upgrade when I was already paying £27 more than the price I was quoted.
Cons: They forced me to ta their Damage Weaver protection which was more expensive than they rental for the car. The DW is suppose to be optional and not mandatory. I guess they did that because they knew I was coming from the US and I probably had no other choice. I felt cheated and I made up my mind not to use hertz again.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: They have Charged me incorrectly for damages. Tried calling customer care and they don’t have clue about what happened.
Pros: The drop off staff was super nice and friendly. The shuttles worked well. The car was fine.
Cons: We were grifted by the pick-up representative.
Upon arriving from an 11 hour international flight, the guy insisted a vehicle upgrade for an extra £80 (because “rain and safety”) as well as a fuel package (no need to fill up before drop off) for £51.32. Being a tired foreigner who didn’t think to take the time to review the distance, mileage of the original car, or convert the currency, I just said ok. This is on me; I should have made the guy wait while I did the math. But he was rushing me and my partner and I were tired with an addition 2 hour drive ahead of us.
I feel angry with myself for letting him do this to me, as it literally more than doubled the cost of the vehicle. The distance we drove didn’t even need one fuel stop, and surely it wouldn’t have cost us £51 to fill up the car. Also, the smaller car would have been fine; the weather wasn’t an issue, and neither were our bags. The guy conned us, ostensibly so he could make a commission, or because hertz encourages that behavior. Pretty unhappy with that.
Pros: great price, got a free upgrade on the vehicle too
Cons: Opening hours of return location could have been longer or have a after hours return area
Cons: Car not available at time of pickup. Had to wait over 30 minutes in rain for car.
Pros: Transparency in pricing for the rental, additional driver and insurance
Cons: Friendly staff - I found the staff to be rude and crafty!
Pros: The car was very nice but there was a tiny, barely perceptible dent on the underside of the car which I didn't notice when collecting the car and wasn't noted on the contract. When I returned the car Greg insisted on recording it, despite the inconsequential nature of the dent (he actually had real trouble taking a photo to record the damage). In hindsight I was foolish for thinking that without the CDW they would act in a fair manner and and goodwill I had for Hertz is now gone.
