We waited in line for 90+ minutes to get our car. Management didn't give us any information. It turns out they didn't have enough cars and fortunately, my family got the last one for several hours. No empathy or consideration for customers just standing in line.Reviewed 17 Oct 2024

Pick-up at SYR ok but staff impatient and clearly not happy doing the job. Drop-off at JFK confusing and a hassle. Signs lead to a former Dollar lot where you are then redirected to the Hertz lot. Plus airport under construction. Very stressful. They should get their signage right.Reviewed 31 Aug 2024

Pros:Nothing!Cons:There was a huge line at the counter, and a long wait to pick up my car. I was supposed to get a full size car but the only car they had left was a compact. Awful experience!Reviewed 20 Mar 2021

Pros:Staff was nice. However they helped as little as possible, but over all the experience was. Okay.Cons:The vehicle had a sticker on the door saying it was cleaned. A baby sock was found in the back hatch area, which should have been easily found if cleaned. The worst part was a strong odor coming from the driver side back seat. Terrible smell, I drove straight from NY to Fl. When I got home my wife told me it smelled like baby vomit or spilt formula.Reviewed 20 Mar 2021

Pros:Staff members. Girl that had to downgrade me from an SUV to a full size vehicle was just doing her job.Cons:Don't use a debit card unless you only want a maximum of a full size car. I requested an SUV because I had to travel and the weather got pretty bad. I had to downgrade to the Maxima and the handling was terrible. I understand there's rules but my debit card has more cash on it than most credit cards. They could have done a larger deposit or something to secure the vehicle I requested. I needed the vehicle so I couldn't cancel or change things.Reviewed 28 Jan 2021

Pros:The staff said I could get reimbursed for any expenses beyond my original reservation with Dollar if I was able to obtain a car from another company. They gave me the contact info for their manager.Cons:They had no cars. I was depending on picking up a vehicle to travel for business and when I arrived, they had nothing left despite my reservation.Reviewed 7 Jul 2020
