Cons: The special car was just a compact. The gate agent tried to add random insurance coverage and would not show me the bill until I had signed saying I had seen the bill which I had not. Eventually I sorted it all out but it was quite annoying after a long flight to have to battle the tricks dollar tries to pull.

BAIT AND SWITCH
Pros: Drop off was easy
Cons: First I made my reservation with a quoted price online for a full size car and then when I arrived the man behind the counter told me the price I reserved was subject to the Managers Digression and that I was getting a smaller car or I could pay more for a Full Size. BAIT AND SWITCH. Not cool. I had people waiting so I paid their price and get in a car with my passengers. We get to the exit and we are told the car has to be returned because it is due for maintenance. We exchange cars and get a car that has less room in it and in our route back to the airport starts to loose tire air pressure. We made it back without a flat tire but had to worry about it the ride back to the airport. No more Dollar for me.

Cons: To bad Hertz thought I was crazy and had no record of the reservation, great because I flew into Orlando for a friends memorial service and had to shell out more money than I was quoted and hertz wanted almost 3 time the quote, so I went on line and used EZ auto rental, great service and no bait and switch. I was pretty disappointed with the entire process, Don't think I'll be using the service for any reservations in the future, and would not recommend anyone else use it either. Cons: The queue of Hertz was insanely long at the time of car pick up in orlando airport and the system crashed when my turn came. Car insurance was more expensive than the car daily rate itself, which doesn't make any sense! Definitely my last experience with Hertz.

1.5 hour wait at midnight for the car

Pros: I was able to choose a car among different options between my price range. I really like it,
Cons: I had to wait for at least 40 MINUTES to get serviced in the Orlando airport's customer service desk. They have phone booth that supposedly can take care of clients, but there is no signage about it.
Finally, the pre-paid gas offer is more expensive than the outside gas prices.
Cons: The confirmation number from kayak did not work. The agent was unable to locate my rental. I was charged 100 more at the counter because of the issue

Pros: I really was careful when scheduling a car rental to make sure that the rental facility was in the airport and this reservation said that it was. But the rep at the Alamo counter said that is was an off site facility about an 18 minute drive away. So cancelled with them and rented from Enterprise.
Cons: Really wonder why they had an Alamo rental counter at the airport but our rental car was not available there? I made sure we picked an agency that was "on site at airport" but it was not. Very frustrating!!!

Cons: Sought a car for pickup at Orlando Airport. Checked the SEARCH box for AIRPORT. Car comes up, I make the purchase. Confirmation comes back with an address of INTERNATIONAL DRIVE; not an uncommon name for a street located near an INTERNATIONAL airport. Figured it was a shuttle drive. WRONG! Car was nowhere near the airport, nor was there a shuttle. It was over 30 minutes away. The site that held my car closed a 4PM. I arrived at the check-out counter at 3:35pm after picking up luggage and a delay on the apron. Had to pay extra $135 for a car at airport since attempting to pick up car at remote location would have been a waste. CHOOSE ANOTHER SERVICE THAT DOESN"T MISLEAD YOU IN AN EFFORT TO GRAB YOUR CASH AND LEAVE YOU HANGING HIGH AND DRY ON DAY ONE OF YOUR VACATION!
Pros: Car was sporty and comfortable. Unlimited miles was a huge plus.
Cons: Took a very long time to pick up the car even though it was booked online a month earlier and drop off was confusing. The windshield and mirrors were filthy and there was no washer fluid in the car so we had to go to Walmart to buy Windex.

Pros: I rented a minivan for a good price unfortunately This had to be the most disgusting car I have ever rented in 30 years. The car show 26,000 miles it look like it had 200,000 miles on it on the inside. The brakes weren't very good there was something wrong with the front end. The inside was falling apart and it was so beyond dirty it should've been put to the dump floors were so bad and unclean. There was sand in the side door tracks. Steering wheel was so gross and if I wasn't so far away after driving it I would've taken it back. So if you ever decide to rent from Ace rental cars make sure you check the inside first thoroughly other than a smelly dump of a car the staff at cool and check in and check out what's good

Too many surprises!
Pros: Good shuttle service to/from airport. Simple return and drop off. Thorough inspection process before departure. Price was right.
Cons: I discovered that I needed to bring/provide a copy of my insurance policy at check-in. They said it was in the "conditions" and maybe it was, but really who reads all of that? I have been renting cars for more than 40 years all over the world and have never had to do this. A bad start. Then they tell me that because I live in Florida that I don't have unlimited mileage and am limited to 150 miles per day. This wasn't a problem, but again, where did this come from? And at check-in. This all gave me a bad taste for ACE right from the start. Not sure I will ever rent from them again because of this even if it costs me more. Seems shady. Expected problems on return, but fortunately there were none.

Pros: Drop-off was easy and fast, but I am holding my breath to see what they may deduct. We did, however, take pictures.
Cons: I waited over an hour in a long line, while my 87 year old mother (who was exhausted) waited, only to discover that they had cancelled my reservation due to lateness. I was furious, had to take another car, and spent more than $150 extra just to get one. Then, they didn't even go over the car with me, and the interior was filthy, and the back bumper was very scraped up. I hope we are not charged for that as well.

Painless Vehicle swap
Pros: 1st vehicle reported reduced tire pressure, upon inspection found large nail embedded in tire, returned to rentsl facility, in & out with replacement vehicle (explorer, much newer vehicle) in 15mins, no fuss.
By far the best rate per vehicle class in area, almost 50%.
Cons: 1st vehicle (traverse) was older, key fob didnt control alarm so every time alarm sounded on entry requiring some brisk action to turn it off, also much more worn/stained/odor.

Would have been 5 stars BUT...
Pros: Loved the rental. We had a brand spankin new Jeep Wrangler at a GREAT low price. Almost less than half of what other competitors were charging for the same type of vehicle.
Cons: Would have been five stars across the board had it not been for a frustrating TIME CONSUMING check in process. The wrong reservation was printed up and my card was charged for it and upon noticing the error no apologies and no urgency in the correction. Almost felt like it was my fault. My card was then charged for the correct reservation and it took nearly a week to get the refund from the mistake. With the added deposits on top of the two week rental, this was a substantial error. Other than, great car, great price!

Pros: The car I rented was perfect for my needs. Took me a while to find a good car, but once I found one, I had no issues.
Cons: You really need to inspect your vehicle carefully. Most of them are in bad shape (major paint missing, not key fobs, non-op parts). But if you take your time and inspect carefully, you can score a decent car for a short term rental. Also, they are a bit understaffed. I had a hard time getting service on the lot and drop-off took longer than expected

Friendly Staff but Crappy Car
Pros: I liked how a shuttle was provided by Fox's for airport pick-up and drop-off. My wait time for the shuttle was less than a minute. The shuttle drivers and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I made the reservation online, and I had no issues when I went to pick up the car. There were a few customers in line in front of me when I arrived at the office, but it went quickly.
Cons: I was given a Toyota Yaris. It is an economy car. The interior seats were stained and discolored. When I did my initial walk around the car, it appeared to be in good condition. However, once I left the lot and got onto the highway at a speed of 60 mph, the back panel above the rear left side began to flap. It was detached from the bumper. I called Fox's customer service once I arrived at my hotel. They date stamped it and said I could either return the car for a new one or keep it until my end date. I kept it, and I wasn't charged for any damage. I just don't recommend this type of car, as it is cheaply made and has very poor visibility.

Pros: Customer service at the counter was fast and very friendly. They allowed us to return the car to the airport location for no extra charge. We reserved an economy car and were given a Dodge Charger. NICE!!
Cons: I should have looked at the reservation location before confirming my order. I found out the day before that there was no shuttle to this location...Customer service tried to help me as best they could, but the rates were double to pick up at the airport. I kept the reservation and struggled with a 35 minute Uber ride for $54.00. Next time I book on a travel site, I will be sure to do my research first.

Cons: Our Orlando pick-up location was changed without notifying us, necessitating a 20-minute Uber ride that we hadn't planned for. Then, the car was not at the location we'd traveled to after we checked in, necessitating another wait. Then, the car was not full of gas when we pulled out of the pick-up location. This added about an extra hour of transition to our trip, taking away time we'd planned to spend with family. It did not start our rental off on a good foot.

Cons: They switched locations from Orlando International Airport to another Orlando location that would require a 30 cab ride during rush hour! We cancelled the reservation and booked with another rental car company when Enterprise told us that third party companies often switch at the last minute. Won't be using Kayak again :-(

Rental perfect except for bubblegum smell in car
Pros: Rented out of Holiday Inn across from Universal Studios. Easy pick up, no lines, received free upgrade.
Cons: We found the bubblegum smell in the car too strong. It must have been some kind of "refresher". Pine scented or lemon scented would have been better, or even better, no refresher at all. Other than that, our rental was fine.

After waiting 30 minutes as clerk talked to a colleague, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes for our car to be ready. Only once we asked for a refund did they bring the car around. Car was still dirty, worker refused to acknowledge huge crack on back bumper despite me taking a picture of him standing next to it. Eventually just wrote "minor scratch" on form.

Cons: I waited over 1 hr in line, and the rep told me I had to go to a remote location. I had to take a taxi to a dark, deserted CLOSED Budget Office in a bad area. Cons: Did not like having to stumbled and bumble around trying to find the staging lot, then locate the car.
Difficult exiting lot as gate did not lift, and no answer when call button pressed. Had to wait for maintenance(?) cart to happen along and open gate.
This location (10100 International Dr) should (at the least) have better signage, or perhaps instruct valets to be of assistance.

Pros: Could drop off in Orlando though I picked up in Ft. Lauderdale.
Cons: Thrifty inside a hotel with no sign. GPS could not find, spent 45 minutes lost and had a flight leaving. When I get there they say NO airport shuttle. I was in disbelief. I was told to call Customer service with fligjht leaving in 1 hr. 45 mn. They finally answered after 11 min. on phone . Explained and they said could not fulfill my request to drop car at airport instead because of midunderstanding. NO manager and it wouil cost $186 to change. I do not use Uber in Puerto Rico and leaving me frustrated I had to ask for Taxi last minute, a 15 min. ride cost me $45. Worst Customer Service I have ever had, no one with authority to over ride simple decision. Never again will I do Thrifty.

Cons: Employees inside the terminal were professional and courteous. Once in the pick up the car area, either the employees were downright rude and impatient, or didn't know what was going on. As competitive as the rental car market is, I can't believe the Orlando Dollar/Thrifty Management Team would allow their employees to be get away with being unhelpful and rude. Unreal Hidden fees
Cons: Payless? More like PayMore... I was quoted $150 for a rental. My flight was delayed so i showed up 30 minutes late for my rental...upon arriving my car was given away to another renter...no big deal, until they decided I would be up-charged $10/day for a different larger vehicle rather than just comping it because they didn't have my original rental. THEN, because I was under 25, rather than a one time fee like most companies, I was charged an additional $25/day...THEN because I was under 25 yrs old (I'm 23), I was forced to purchase collision insurance at another $14 per day, plus some more fees. Needless to say my $150 week long rental ended up costing me $419.55. Never again will I use Payless...Service personnel were fine but the accommodations and policies were misleading and advantageous to payless over the customer.

Cons: It took me 45 minutes to be picked up by the shuttle to go to the rental place off airport property. All the other major rental agencies are at the airport. I had to call for the shuttle 3 times to try to get them to come and pick me up and the person on the other end of the line was very rude and short. He told me use another phone and call back. They finally picked us up in a lane that was not designated for car rental. By this time there were so many people waiting there was almost not enough space for us, but we all crammed into the shuttle. Once I shuttled over to the rental building there was another 45 minute wait to get my car. It was so dark you could not inspect the auto. The agents were very high pressure trying to sell you, and scare you, into all kinds of charges that were not necessary. It felt like flying Spirit Airlines with all the hidden fees. I chose this company because it looked like it would save me a lot of money. When I returned my car there was nobody to receive my car right away and the shuttle left without me and I had to wait for the next one 15 minutes later which added more unneeded stress to my getting to the airport on time. Originally, I had booked another rental agency, Alamo, and once I received my final bill I went back to check the cost and it only saved me $6. Certainly not worth all the time and hassle to save such a small amount of money. I will never rent from Payless again.

Cons: I have rented from E-Z countless times over the years. Early on I used them for certain needs because they had a 150 miles/day limit before being charged mileage. So for situations where there was not a lot of driving required E-Zs prices appealed to me. Then a year or two ago they started giving me unlimited mileage. I loved it. A couple of months ago I reserved a car for a week in Orlando anticipating a good deal of driving. After a long flight from Europe I arrived at the E-Z counter in Orlando and handed over my drivers license and Amex credit card. I was then told that there are new rules for car rentals. Rule changes made well after I had made the reservation for the car. One was that they were back to 150 miles/day at $0.55 for each additional miles. And that I could no longer use the insurance offered by my credit card which I had been using for years without any problem. I was told that I needed to produce an insurance card for my auto insurance and that he would have to call them to confirm coverage. I only own a car in Europe and that automobile insurance does not cover car rentals in the US. And it was 4 o'clock in the morning. He told me that the only option for getting the car was to by the expensive insurance offered by E-Z. I told him to forget it and found a car from a different company.

Pros: The car worked fine. Upon request, I was given a map.
Cons: None of the staff members was courteous. The man at the rental counter was aggressive in trying to convince me to pay for Epass for the toll roads. He did not want to accept that I could manage the toll road without paying $9.99 per day for the Epass.
The car was supposed to be full of gas, but was only 3/8 full. I had to phone twice to get a commitment that I could bring the car back with that amount of gas instead of full.
I do not recommend this company.

Cons: We paid for a specialty car and their definition of specialty was a economy 4 door (Nissan Versa) with manual everything (I didn't realize they still made vehicles with manual door locks and windows). Overall, it got us from point A to Point B, but title was very misleading. When I asked about this, they responded that the economy is their "Specialty" Car. Of course, I could have upgraded to something else for a price :) Probably won't use them again just because of their their response to my question at the counter. I could have cancelled my online reservation and then saved a few bucks renting the same vehicle, however, we were on a tight schedule.

Good car, easy pickup/dropoff
Pros: Easy pickup/dropoff. No hidden costs, they're all upfront. Clean car. Low specs car.
Cons: The car kept swaying to the right when we were on the highway. I called support and they were happy to replace the car.
They offer toll easy pass for around $10 a day, which is more than you would need if you're not going to go on the highway for long.
No one can help you with your bags when you drop off the car - we had 6 bags.

Pros: Personnel helpful
Cons: Attention to previous damage a bit disconcerting. I wanted to document it all (I've had bad experiences in the past) but the staff said it was no big deal. They were correct for for someone with a lot of rental car experience, it made me nervous.
Pros: Price was right, pick up and drop off was simple...
Cons: Car was dirty, inside and out. Certain windows may have never been cleaned...

Cons: Total money I was supposed to pay was $225 by online, however, they made me pay $610 with additional charges when I went to pick up the car. I have used other rental companies many times and this was my first time to pay more than the receipt price the company sent me my email. It feels like I was cheated by the company.

Cons: Hidden fees, the woman named Luna was extremely rude. When we got to the counter they told us we had to pay a $200 deposit to rent the car. No where on the website or the invoice did it mention a deposit, Luna told us you can't rent a car without a deposit, which is not true. She then told me I was being rude to her, at that point I walked away and let my husband deal with her. Horrible customer service, we of course are still waiting for our deposit to be returned. Will never use this place again. Watch out for their hidden fees

Pros: I loved the Camry we were assigned as well as the great price. We were visiting a friend and didn't put many miles on it but needed a car, "just in case". This was perfect.

not a bargain at all
Cons: I did not like being pressured into purchasing unnecessary extras that doubled the price of our rental. The unrelenting salesperson at drop-off told us, for example, that we would save a lot of money on tolls by purchasing a sunpass/toll pass as tolls would cost on average $8.50 each way. In fact, most tolls cost no more than $0.75. Therefore, this extra was a complete waste of money. Also, the car was dirty; there were half full soda cans in the cup holders and other garbage in the car. The seats were filthy.

Cons: Very poor signage for Advantage at the Orlando Airport and outdated information on the Advantage website.
Cons: The car advertised was in a different class , so not possible to have unless I paid for an up grade. Plus the Cadillac CTS I was told thay haven't had one for as long as they could remember. , no choise in cars only one available not American, not a V8. Quite disappointed.

Not great attention to detail, but ok
Cons: No one told me that my car had a lock on how high the audio could go, and a lock on the speedometer too. Never seen that before. Also, there was a crumpled piece of trash on the seat as I got in. Just a small thing, but details like this count against my overall opinion.

Service and satisfaction
Pros: I loved my initial reception at the Desk by your customer Service Representative. He was courteous, informative and efficient. I expressed the same sentiments to the manager that same night.
Cons: I got stopped by a cop who said that I was driving a car with a license plate registered to another car.
That was a little emotional to my family.
Cons: I arrived early in the morning to find no service rep around. Had to check in on a not so user friendly automated kiosk. After choosing a car I found that there was no one in the check out booths. Had to call National and they told I should go to the Alamo check out booth to exit. Having appropriate signage at checking and checkout outlining what to do when there are no service reps around would save customers a lot of headaches.

Pros: Found the rental counter very easily -
Cons: Booked rental online for a one way trip from FL to NJ - tried to use my debit card to pay, but they don't accept it for one way...they do not accept cash either. I missed reading the fine print about this, so be careful or you'll get stranded at MCO if you don't have a major credit card. The employees there deal with bullshit every day I'm sure because they were both grumpy.

Pros: I pulled up to the resort where National was located and walked in, got my receipt and left.
Cons: The office was so small, they had the door locked when I got there only to find a girl at the computer when she unlocked the door and the guy sitting there. After the transaction, I had to walk to the opposite side of the resort to try and locate the car. Not very professional nor good customer service.

Cons: There was some sticky mess on the dashboard like syrup. Paid $90/day for a simple 4-door and felt like I was getting a really bad deal, Especially since my friend rented a car for that same weekend out of MCO for $25/day
Cons: Took about 30 min to check in at the counter. It was only one person in front of me. Both the customer and the clerk in the front counter were very slow at rent a car processing. The other clerk got on the phone pretending not seeing other standing clients. Office environment very boring and basic not even a tiny green plant or poster hanging. Aunts are marching on bathroom floor. beware of insurance policy add up at the counter before even they ask you what kind of policy you like to carry...
they did upgrade me to another car because of my long waiting. However these people at the rent a car they don't get it! Efficiency and fast processing matters when the time is of essence. We are not there to test drive a intermediate car we need a quick ride and process to catch up with the business meeting etc,...

Wish I Would've Picked A Different Rental Company
Cons: Rented the car online using KAYAK. The total cost for the vehicle was 55 dollars. When I pick up the car, I always decline the insurance and gas option. When I did, they required me to show proof of insurance. I did not have any proof of insurance from my company and I do not care my personal insurance card with me. So I could not get the car unless I purchased their insurance. The car was horrible. It had a bad vibration, it made a horrible noise, the air did not work one time until I figured out the key had to be in the exact right spot for the blower/air to work. It had a hose hanging down below the vehicle. At the end of the week, my 55 dollar rental ended up costing 180 dollars. I always use KAYAK for my rentals....I wish they would pull Priceless Car Rentals off of their site. I will never use Priceless again.

Cons: Wrong address was provided and information was not clear on rental pick up. Did not pick up rental at all. Not pleased and they are refusing a refund. Won't be using kayak or priceless ever again!

Friendly staff, clean premises, thieves and cheats...
Pros: The staff were well dressed and the facility was clean. The air conditioning was cold and the water was free. That's where the accolades stop.
Cons: My $77 weekend car rental turned into $212 because they claimed that I picked the car up later than I said I would and then dropped it off later than I said I would, neither of which were true. They also would not let me leave with the car unless I agreed to pay $15 per day for liability insurance even though I had proof of full coverage from my AMEX. DO NOT RENT YOUR CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. Not if you value your money.
