use the Florida Travel pass instead of paying for the EZPass, it's way cheaper. Don't let them bully you into extra insurance you don't need. Double check if they add an extra drive to your invoice without clearly explaining the charges.

Get the insurance and toll transponder. Fuel before you drop off. Do not wait until you are close to the airport to get fuel. You’ll find better prices a little bit further.

Highly recommend getting sun pass for tolls if you’ll be around Disney as tolls can be $2.50 for just one toll booth and there are several around that area

It's a good idea to get the EZ Pass for the tolls.

If you have a SunPass, make sure you can use it with your rental. I had to drive through all of the toll booths so it wouldn’t trigger the rental cars toll reader.

We ended up walking across the street and rented from Advantage. They were slightly expensive, but worked good in a pinch. I'll stick with Herts or Enterprise next time we rent in Orlando.

Go with one of the better known rental brands. Be prepared for a long wait and be prepared to push back if your insurance or credit card covers the insurance for rental cars.

My advice if you go to Florida more than once per year is to sign up for your own SunPass and bring it with you or bring your EZ Pass from home because there are a lot of paid roads in Florida. We always use a credit card that covers the car insurance so we don't have to take out extra insurance. And we NEVER rent an Economy - too small! Unless you plan to stay in Disney and never leave, you will definitely need a rental in Orlando; it's huge and spread out

The best and affordable rental car company is FOX. They have many vehicles to choose from at a fraction of the cost. I particularly like renting trucks for the space and comfort. Just be sure to return on full fuel to avoid additional charges.

Alamo has great service and pricing and is at the airport! No shuttle required!

You don't need the toll pass, there is a cash lane and they do give change. It may be $1 more for cash but unless you're using the toll roads frequently, just pay cash.

Just reminder, USave is outside of airport. Must take a shuttle. We made the mistake of not reading that and walked most of terminal before looking up details.

Traffic is slow with lots of construction, give yourself extra time . Make sure you are getting the car you book , not every spot has all the available vehicles.
