The rental experience was great, but there were some unfamiliar quirks with the car that were not intuitive. The gear shifter has a different process for shifting the car into park. one morninh the car wouldn’t start because it was not in park and we needed to take an Uber to our destination that day until we figured out why it wasn’t starting. Also, the fuel fill cap would not open and we didn’t know that the electric door locks switch needed to be used to release the fuel inlet door.

I was randomly given an EV. I was asked to pay $27 for the convenience of having them charge it on the return rather than me “spending 3-4 hours charging it.” I was renting the car to get from the Orlando airport to Vero Beach and turning it in there, so I agreed to the charge. When I drove out of the parking garage, I saw that it only had 5% battery left. I drove right back to the drop off and asked what to do. I was told to park the car and go to the on site office. There I was told I needed a verification number that I had turned the car in. No apology for my inconvenience. So I walked back to the drop off area (again with my luggage) to find someone to grove me the required number. Got the number and went back to the office (with my luggage). A lovely lady said she would give me the same car, but it would be a hybrid. I asked if I could get a refund on the $27 charge for the electric charging and that I would fill the gas before returning the car. I was told no. She said, however, that since I had already paid the $27, it would only cost me $8 more for the convenience of having Hertz fill up the car when I dropped it off 1-1/2 hours later. I got to my destination without further incident, but 2 hours later than planned.

Staff was actually friendly and efficient this time. We often hesitate to rent from Fox because they have some of the slowest staff, but this time was quite quick. We got a GREAT value for our SUV and paid less than half what we would have paid from another agency. The car was clean and in great working order.

The rental car price was great but upon arriving at the rental counter, the staff wanted proof of my auto insurance. It took me about 10 minutes to locate a copy of my policy on my smartphone. Once it was provided, the clerk said “you need to purchase Collision insurance from us”. I told him I never have purchased additional insurance from rental car companies in over 30 years of renting cars. He tried explaining that my policy was insufficient and that I had to buy theirs. I started to argue advising that I have full coverage with my insurance. He finally agreed to rent the car at the price that I was quoted without having to pay for extra insurance. This appears to be a newer scam to get people to pay more.

Ended up needing a last minute rental after an evening flight into Orlando. I couldn’t find anything available anywhere but luckily my teenager found Ace available through Kayak and saved the day. The wait for shuttle pickup was so long we weren’t even sure it was coming but this was my first time waiting on a shuttle from the airport to rental place so maybe that’s normal. We ended up getting a Lyft from the airport to Ace which was an extra expense but it was probably a good thing because when the shuttle came there were lots of people and the line was even longer. The line when I arrived, prior to the shuttle that I would have been on was long and moved kind of slowly. However, my time at the counter was quick, easy and pleasant. The car itself was great, no issues there at all. Drop off was a breeze but did have a 10 min wait for the shuttle to the airport which was fine. Overall, I felt Ace was a good value and good service and I’m extremely grateful for the last minute availability! For me personally though, I think I’d rather pay more to rent from the airport for the convenience of it instead of shuttling back and forth especially with kids in tow.

Before I rent with them I call to make sure that I was able to do what I want before rent. I use your page as a third party, you guys make me pay for insurance in advance wich was not accepted in ACE and they couldn't rent me the car after I call to make sure and I was given wrong info. Now I'm trying to get my money back from insurance and no one to talk to in KAYAK or the third party insurance company that u guys selected for me. This insurance thing with u guys is a scam and ridiculous negotiation I'm doing everything In my power because you guys ste gonna return my money. Horrible customer service, horrible!!!

I arrived at midnight to pick up an SUV reserved. I was told that I was late and the had given the SUV to another customer. I required a seven passenger vehicle to transport my family while in Florida. I returned the vehicle three days later and was double charged. Further, I went to the airport and reserved a seven passenger SUV from a competitor without hassle. I would not recommend an offsite vehicle renting company. Wrench you desired vehicle at the airport.

I booked a ford transit and when I got to the rental counter they told me no I only booked a standard minivan. So the vehicle was falsely advertised and had to end up paying an extra 200$ to upgrade the vehicle and 75$ for tollls. I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of the service. This is the second time this same this has happened. I prob won’t be using the app again to book a rental car.

Not being ripped off on extras I didn’t ask for, these charges forced me to ring up twice to get them removed then told when returning the car it’s not refundable so a battle but I WON Also the website and online order from did not state I must provide my driving license making me return to my sons house the return to airport after paying a $65 Uber fee.

Agent was dishonest and insisted that I needed to add insurance by Florida state law. Argued with me for almost 5 minutes. I needed the car so I conceded. Then called customer service to address the issue and they could not help me. Will never rent from Thrifty or Dollar again.

Didn’t let us know there no morning shuttle to the airport.. nor let us know where to put the key or park the vehicle. There wasn’t even a conversation about drop off. Last minute had to find us a cab that could fit all six of us plus 5 luggage’s to get us to the airport so we wouldn’t miss our flights, If I had known I could have pre set this up. 4 am with a family of six trying to get a cab to the airport. Couldn’t tell you the full experience because we left the lot without the car. In addition to what was paid ahead of the scheduled pick-up time, we were asked for an additional deposit which wouldn’t be a problem if they had a tap feature on their card reader. The antiquated POS system left us with no choice but to go to a competitor to get a rental car. The blame doesn’t land entirely on NU Car, as I should’ve kept at least one credit card, not debit card, with me, on vacation.

I reserved a Ford Transit (or similar) 12-passenger van. The reason I booked this rental with Dollar via KAYAK was specifically because pricing was competitive and seemed better than most other options. I booked this more than 3 months prior to our trip. Once I arrived at the Dollar rental desk, I was told that my reservation was for a 7 passenger minivan. Despite me showing emails with the reservation details showing the rate I paid and showing the type of vehicle, Dollar refused to honor the reservation. I ultimately was charged more than $500 extra for the upgrade and additional fees for the full size van, and I definitely could have booked it for cheaper than that back when I originally reserved the vehicle. I got screwed because of a communication breakdown between Dollar rental car and their online booking agent (KAYAK) and Dollar refused to accept any accountability for it…the question is, will Kayak take any responsibility

I drove an hour away, I parked the car. I came back to the car it wouldn’t start. I had to leave it to go to an appointment in the meantime, roadside service came and said that it had the wrong battery. There were a lot of other things, mandatory tolls, I bought extra miles, then the rental, and mandatory insurance. I got no relief no refund no grace. I should’ve rented with Hertz. Just messing around with the shuttle was a pain in the a**.

Very poor service. I was given the wrong address for picking the car up so had to take multiple Ubers to and from the airport, hotel, etc. to get the car. Also, my flight home was delayed so I needed the car an extra couple of hours and they charged me $100 for that. Lots of hidden fees too that I wasn't in the mood to argue with them about. Just a horrible experience with them, but the car was fine at least.

It cost us 900$ more than what we already paid, picking up the car it took 1h. With 2 small childrens after a day of transportation it was a lot. We didn't even get the car we asked for, so it was a lot smaller and it made it uncomfortable. It wasn't clear at all that te pick up wasn't at the airport so it took us a lot of time and stress to find the shuttle and get to rental office. I will never book again that kind of rental, it was missing a lot of informations. Really disappointed.

TERRIBLE. I arrived at MCO at 10:00pm, Waited for the shuttle to take me to the rental’s office but they never came. At 10:39pm I called the office about three times, no answer. I was left stranded. I decided to rent another car and leave the matter for the next day. The following day I called the office, spoke to a very rude lady who said that if I wasnt at the office by 11pm the night before, it was considered a no-show, so no refund. She hung up. NEVER AGAIN shall I rent from them and KAYAK should remove them from your list of options.

At check in felt very pressured to upgrade everything. Was given incorrect information about the insurance to convince me to purchase. Found the pressured sales at check in uncomfortable. The fob didn’t work very well- the battery must have been low and so it was annoying to lock, unlock and start the car. Often took multiple attempts which was inconvenient. There was no wait to pick up the car which was fantastic. The return of the car was very smooth.

Took way too long to get car. Took 2 hours and we only got a car because someone at the Payless counter, who had no customers, helped us get a car. The lines at Budget and Avis were ridiculously long and the communication with the garage to see what cars were available was completely inefficient. We had planned to drive to watch the Artemis space launch, a once in a lifetime opportunity for our children and they missed it because Avis is poorly operated. The employees were kind and empathetic but completely powerless and said they've complained to management but nothing ever changes. Avis clearly does not care about the customer experience.

Avis at MCO does not clean the vehicles. The first vehicle we received, a silver Camry with New York plates, was dirty and had sand all over. The Camry was exchanged for a silver RAV4 with Floria plates (DY9-5BZ), this suv was DISGUSTINGLY dirty and smelled like a dog had urinated all over the car. You could actually see the pee stains on the seats. After complaining for the second time, we were given a Chevy Equinox which was in much better shape and even though not clean, it was acceptable. I would not recommend them all.

This rental company is a complete scam and will try to gouge as much out of you as criminally possible. The workers there have negative zero business ethics and will hold you hostage because you are on vacation and lie their way into forcing you to pay what they want it’s a classic switch and bait except they do it in your face and have no shame about it. They will not take your full coverage car insurance or primary credit card rental car coverage and force you to buy their car insurance at starting 30 dollar a day up to over 100 or else you won’t get your rental car that you already paid for!!! Check BBB for their complaints, they have a F rating!!!! Don’t believe the Google or Expedia rating they are manipulated. Yelp or trip adviser have many similar complaints than what I went thru. Don’t think you are the exception they will get you!!! Don’t rent from them you will end up spending more money, rent from Costco or airport onsite pick up. I refused to give into their scam and uber to another rental company which I paid REGULAR market fee for my rental. I like deals but no free lunch. Routes rental fee is way below market that’s how they get you. Also they only rent to vacationers not locals to take advantage of families on schedule and less likely to challenge them. I reported them to BBB they need to be investigated and shut down for criminal business tactics

The vehicle it self was fine, but at check in the agent lied to me and told me they wouldn't take my insurance which was from a highly reputable company with very high level of coverage and I was too exhausted from a red eye flight to argue, and made me pay $375 to use their insurance. Then upon checkout, they asked me who my rental was through, then when I couldn't find the info they were looking for, and said "let me see your phone, I can help you find it", just to find out that the person found a request to fill out a review on my behalf and filled it out before they would let me finalize the drop off. I eventually got my money back after complaining and leaving bad reviews, but they never addressed what they were going to do to fix the shady business practices.

Vehicle was fine. Staff were rude, smug and arrogant. Tried to force me to take extra add-ons I didn't want and put me through to ringer to prove that I have the correct insurance with my credit card by making me pull up the policy, reading it line by line to them, showing them that this is the policy for the card I paid, then calling the manager over and doing it all over again. And even then, they still tried to tell me it wasn't the right coverage because it's a Canadian credit card and the amount wouldn't cover the vehicle price in USD when in fact the policy states that it would cover up to the amount of the full vehicle value, in the country it is being rented in. After all that, they still would not let me take the rental unless I took liability insurance through them stating that they do not take credit card coverage and wouldn't allow me to use my personal insurance. I have rented cars many times in other states and countries and have never dealt with this. It felt like a scam. Don't let the cheap rental price fool you because that is just the reason for them to get you in and charge you twice as much for the most basic insurance, plus whatever additional things they will try and get you for.

The car itself was fine. Pick up was complicated and delayed, and after waiting more than 30 minutes, I had to call for pick up to the offsite (kind of creepy/ isolated) site. And then we began the haggling- extra “compulsory “ insurance, extra daily charge for tolls, my car insurance not being sufficient. Essentially attempts to quadruple what I expected to be the “total” rental price. It’s such a racquet.

The pricing was utterly "un-transparent". CarRental8.com charged us $277 for the week. But, in the fine print (though without specifying the amount), it turned out that OC Car Rental had other charges -- to the tune of $222 (a $20/day charge for "mandatory supplementary liability insurance" -- despite the fact that I am covered by my regular auto insurance - and a $35 "car rental center fee" and a $25 "enhanced disinfecting cleaning fee" and a $14 "surcharge"). This is truly despicable behavior by a car rental agency, and I do plan to report it to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AGENCY Was a total scam, said that the price I paid was only a deposit, yet my receipt and rental details say 7 day rental no mention of any outstanding balance required at agency. $1850 USD to be paid and a $2000 USD deposit. 3 groups of people came and left with similar issues during my short encounter with them. Forced to purchase additional insurance, even though I purchased insurance through Kayak and also have my own that covers me in the USA. Would have been cheaper and more accommodating to pay the higher rental rates at the airport, rather than wait almost an 1/2 hour for the shuttle, 15 min drive to place, 1/2 hr at the desk, then 15 min drive back to pick up wife, disabled child and all the luggage and items that comes with having a disable child. (Wheelchair, Commode). To top it off, they didn't have the size of vehicle I prepaid for an reserved. For the timing part, I will take it as a Live an Learn, but I would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND this place for rentals.

First experience I have to wait over 2 hours to get pick up from airport, then finally after 2.5 hours finally check in process totally disappointed. The have only 3 insurance companies that works with them and must meet their requirements. So far ok and understandable. The other option is $70 per day insurance + toll $35 a day that’s in top that I already pay for daily fee So ridicules. I end it up leaving and book in different companies.

I felt like I got scammed. I got there and was quoted a price and then they added on so many additional charges, fees and taxes. I will never rent from them again and will warn others about the hidden charges. It was a stressful experience! I’m am very disappointed. And they kept speaking in I believe Spanish in front on me and my sister, which in itself was rude and suspicious.

It was a waste of time trying to rent. The booking rental online was $147 for the ten day's. When arriving at the counter all the overpriced added fees drove the rental price to over $850. There was one fee for tires and brakes for $399. This has been one of the biggest switch and bait tactics I have ever encountered. I declined the rental and will discourage anyone in the future from renting through your service.

I was only able to speak to a woman through zoom on a little booth - seemingly in another country. I never got my car because they said I was more than an hour late (even though my flight to MCO was delayed). When I stepped outside of the booth, a man at the counter offered to provide me with (a much more expensive) rental car. The place has like 20 logos of different companies, but it seems to me to clearly be a scam all working together. By the time I left, there were 5 other customers (many were older adults) in the building with similar complaints, all being told they must pay more than they originally offered. The man at the counter was yelling at one older woman to calm down. One woman called the police. Officer said he knew it was a problem (said they get called there often) but was a civil issue, not criminal and encouraged us all to file complaints with the Florida AG office. Needless to say, Kayak should not have this company (or any others with same address) on their website. I wrote a complaint, but they said it was an Expedia offering and passed the buck to them. Doubt I’ll ever see my money back or find sometime willing to take responsibility.

I had a very bad experience. When I get there. They put me in a Booth. They charge me extra. The person in the cashier says he doesn’t work there, but he’s working. I asked for the supervisor. He said that he can’t give me the name of the supervisor, and he can’t give me his name because he doesn’t work there but yet I was there for two hours, and the Kid was still there attendant to other people and some of people that was there. also were not satisfied and Left. pretty upset. I would never ever go back there again. I had to wait two hours and a half for somebody to come pick me up. From a CARLAThen they let me go on a shuttle. Back to the airport. It’s been three days since I returned the car. They took a deposit of $500. They have not returned that deposit yet when I asked when I will get the deposit back, they informed me it would be five weeks. I think that is outrageous. Given that the car has already been returned, they can check for any damage and issue a refund accordingly.

Extra cost made it more expensive than going with a bigger company. For example, I had a toll that was less than a dollar and they charged me a 25 dollar fee on top of that for each toll. My total toll cost was 15.36 but I had 200.00 in fees so the total cost was 215.36. I also bought insurance coverage online and then they stated that the insurance didn’t cover all required things and I either had to use my own personal insurance or pay for additional insurance which was another 125 dollars on top of the 74.00 Insurance I had already purchased. It took 45Mins for them to send a shuttle to the airport, they are located 10mins from the airport. A couple had been waiting 45Mins for a shuttle to take them to the airport so I opted to take a Lyft so I wouldn’t miss my flight. I will NEVER use this company again.

The worst! Flight delayed, hard time to find a proper communication channel, was able to WhatsApp them about the delay, but when I got to the counter the guy started with “Since you didn’t show up at 6am it’s been 8 hours and we cancelled your reservation, you have to find an email from Expedia and fill up this and that”. I had no Expedia email, somehow made the guy stop with that and continued processing my rental but was a pain, 30 minutes at the counter to collect your information, trying to make you pay for their insurance even if my GEICO insurance binder says it covers rental cars up to 100k value and I had additional insurance through my American Express which charges me extra $17.95 for every rental car I book because they have this extra insurance. The guy wanted to read the contract to me. I signed it, you don’t have to read. Let’s talk about SHUTTLE…. Don’t rely on their shuttle. It’s bogus. Monday afternoon an 15 people were seating there on the ground outside 45+ minutes waiting for the shuttle. I ended up calling an uber as many did too. Be aware of the hassle. On drop off they have nobody to receive the car, you park there and leave the keys. If someone park beside and ding your door, you better have proof. 5 days later and the hold on my card is still there.

It was a little confusing to find the right pickup location for the shuttle at the airport. And when we got to the office they didn't show our reservation. So they had to download it in order to find it which took time. Also they had some requirements that wasn't on the original rental info like they required of $500 deductible Insurance in order for us to use our own insurance.

This requires taking a shuttle, which i wanted to avoid. 3. going to the counter and being inundated with possible uncharges is a bad experience. 4. also, in a moment of weakness I elected for prepaying for the gas refill. BEWARE!! SCAM OUTFIT!! Stay away from this rental service. I leased a car for family members flying in from Seattle, paying in advance thru booking.com.for car and for “Full” insurance policy. When they got to the counter the Agent said they were “required” to purchase additional insurance that was vastly higher than the amount I already paid and that the daily car price was even higher. They added several bogus charges on top of that. My relatives were given no choice but to pay the nearly triple amount or be shuttled back to the airport and start over with another company. They were not alone. The woman next to them was in tears from the same treatment. STAY AWAY!!!

I reserved this as a referral from Kayak to Rentalcars.com. Their website, along with the confirmation email stated a "Total Cost" of $111.72. When I picked up the car, the agent presented me with "additional local costs" amounting to an additional $71.18. This included an unheard of "Pickup Fee" for $10.00 and "Dropoff Fee" for $10.00. I have never been charged these from any rental agency, anywhere in the world prior to this. None of these "additional local" charges were listed anywhere before pickup. The contract stated "Total Cost" of $111.72, and that's what I expected. In addition, the $250.00 "security deposit" has not been refunded or credited to my credit card as of yet. I have tried all morning to reach the agency to inquire about this. They answered only after about 30 minutes of putting me on hold. The representative could not give me any reasonable answers about the additional charges, but said the security deposit would take 5-10 business days. I will monitor that. Please remove Global Car Rental from your list of agencies. They have committed what I believe is a classic case of Bait and Switch.

This was the worst rental car experience I have ever had. First, the instruction to call for pick-up by the shuttle when arriving at the airport was answered by AI not a real person. It did not allow to speak to a human. They did not give a time frame other than saying to go to the meeting place and the shuttle is on an event 20 min schedule. Not true. 1 hour later we finally made it to the rental car establishment. Other people ahead of us were all angry. Everyone had disagreements at this place over one thing or another. When it was finally our turn 30 min later, I declined insurance because I always use my own. Nope! They told me they did work with my insurance company (a very well known one by the way) and that would be $200. What?!? Ok that somewhere in the fine print that they only make known when you have booked and arrived. Also not disclosed was the fact that their building is right near the freeway in which you must pay a toll to cross. So they charge you $15/day for that. I felt completely scammed. Nobody spoke good English and they laughed at everyone complaining. I will never use this place again. How they are still in business I don’t know. Nearly 2.5 hours later (after an already long 6 hr flight) we were finally heading to our destination. Horrible experience.

I had the worst car rental experience with this company. At pickup, the employee repeatedly told us that the basic insurance was already included in our prepaid rate because we presented an International Driving Permit. The only extra service we agreed to was SunPass. The next day, I found an unexpected $198 charge on my credit card, in addition to the $300 security deposit. Of that amount, $54 was for SunPass, but the rest was for an insurance costing about $45 per day that was never disclosed to us. When we returned to the branch, they claimed it was a “communication error.” It was not. We speak English fluently, and the employee clearly told us several times that the basic insurance was included. If this insurance is mandatory, it should either be included in the advertised rental price or, at the very least, we should have been clearly informed of its cost before signing the agreement so we could decide whether to proceed with the rental. An additional charge of $45 per day would have made this rental completely unaffordable for us, and we would have chosen another company. To make things worse, the rental agreement was only emailed to us after we returned to complain about the charge. Advertising one price and then adding undisclosed charges is unacceptable. I would never rent from this company again.

Once I arrived to pick the car up (shuttle never answered, so I ubered) no one was in the office to help me, and door was locked. Personnel had an emergency with another car for replacement. After waiting 30-40 mins, shuttle driver unlocked the doors and allowed me to wait inside...then proceeded to rent me my car over the phone talking to the owner. Total redemption!! Took a copy of my credentials and let me go about my way!!

Flight got delayed, so I was late to pick up, and by then, they told me they already cancelled my reservation. Completely absurd that my reservation would be cancelled. Then in return, I needed the shuttle to get back to the airport. They told me 15 minutes. I waited 20 minutes before asking for an update. Told me 10 minutes since they were "backed up". Waiting another 15 minutes before coming back inside. Then they had a staff member bring me to the airport in one of the other cars on the lot. Why I had to wait 40 minutes for this solution, unknown. But they merely just drove us to any drop off terminal, which was not my terminal, but did not bother to ask what terminal.

I opted .to use my own Sunpass for tolls and not FLEX Rent A Car. No where in their rental agreement does it state that I could not do this. Before leaving the lot, I added the rental vehicle‘s license plate 61BRLG to my Sunpass Toll account and received a confirmation email from Sunpass. I then affixed my transponder to the windshield. When I returned the vehicle they kept my $400 deposit for tolls. I have spoken with them about this and they are stating that I used the toll roads after opting out of their Sunpass program. That is because I was using my own and, again, no where in the rental agreement does it state that you cannot do this. By not giving full disclosure, I can only assume this is just another way to get money out of unsuspecting customers. I have filed a dispute with Sunpass as I have read online that they have kept many peoples deposit for one reason or another. If I do not get results I will be taking them to small claims court as the wording in their rental agreement needs to include "you are not able to use your own Sunpass for tolls" and it does not.

The car that I paid for was unavailable when I arrived at my destination. My flight was delayed and I was told that they only hold the vehicle for 1 hour after scheduled pick up time. I then needed to go to a counter in the terminal to rent a vehicle. Of course I had to pay a premium price and am also out the original prepaid fee. I was charged online almost $160 for the rental with car insurance coverage. Upon arriving to pick up the car I was charged an additional $400 to be able to take the car to where we were staying. I was extremely disappointed because no where on the website did it state we had to pay so much more when we picked up and on top of that we received none of it back.

I’ve rented hundreds of cars from many different car rental companies, but Zezgo takes the cake for the absolute WORST experience ever. While I understand they’re a budget rental company, it doesn’t cost money to treat people like actual human beings. They have deceptive business practices and try to charge you for so many additional fees that they never told you about upfront. Kayak needs to end this partnership asap…just look at their reviews. They have a 1.1 out of 5 star rating on Trust Pilot. Do better kayak!

Terrible experience. They refused to accept my insurance card, despite my calling GEICO and having them send a binder that explicitly stated it covered ALL RENTAL CARS. The agent, Patricia was polite and I do believe she tried, but it is crazy(and I believe illegal) to require you pay for your own liability insurance that is mandated by law, anyway... But to refuse to accept valid insurance and insist on charging a large amount in order to rent is completely unethical(and likely illegal). I had to get an Uber to another rental place after spending more than an hour there. The shuttle was courteous and Patricia was polite and respectful even as she complimented the policies that I understand were not hers

It’s a scam. It’s super cheap when you book and then they pick you up at the airport, shuttle you to the middle of nowhere, and tell you it’s an extra $30/day required for their third party insurance or they won’t give you the keys. We ended up calling to complain and they did nothing except allow us to cancel and get a refund. I’m grateful for that at least, but even then they said they’re doing it as a courtesy and it’s our fault for not reading the fine print (which they don’t send until AFTER you pay). Go with Thrifty instead.

Sorry was the worst experience ever no one at airport knew this company. I even rented a taxi to take me to the car rental and the taxi man drove me around around the airport charged me $40 and did not find a set car rental called them numerous of times never answered finally they answered pick me up 45 to an hour later went to pick up the car was not very happy with the car they wanted to give me so I had to walk out and leave and I’m just waiting for a refund. I was originally quoted a price of about $62 for an 8 day rental. I was not asked for my insurance company name when booking, only when picking up the vehicle. I was told my company was not a preferred carrier and I was going to have to pay more than $450 for the same vehicle. The lack of transparent disclosure or warning of such a material difference in price was unacceptable. I ultimately declined to rent the car and called an Uber to pick up my family and luggage from their office to take me to my hotel. Knowing the importance of the carrier in advance, I would have made a more informed decision about which company to choose for my rental vehicle.

Finally left without a car and went to Alamo and had great service! In the hours I was at surprise car rental not one customer was happy with the service or the car they rented! The pricing I was quoted on Kayak does not at all reflect what I was charged at the counter. In addition to the car rental price, they also included a $27/day fee for using my own insurance. But the most egregious issue is that they seem to be purchasing positive reviews with discounts: I shared my experience with a representative and they said that they would give me a 10% - 20% discount if I answered my Kayak/Expedia review according to their directions.

Right Cars is a scam company. I was unable to pick up the car due to the company consisting of two screens with remote customer service agents (no on-site assistance, audio was broken on one screen, and card reader was broken on the other). I ended up having to book a last minute rental through a reputable company at the last minute for a significant upcharge. Kayak should remove Right Cars from its platform immediately!

The experience was horrible! First, they are not located at the airport. Although there is a shuttle, I only found that out after arriving at their office.Second, they advertise a very cheap price for what they call a “Luxury SUV,” but they provided an older Toyota RAV4 instead.Finally, while the price appears cheap at first, they charge additional fees for insurance (approximately $60 per day), $74 for SUNPASS activation only + tolls, and other extra charges. A $30-per-day car easily ends up costing around $150 per day. I strongly recommend avoiding their service.

We were texting and speaking to them immediately after we landed and they kept telling us someone would be there to shuttle us to the car rental agency but no one ever showed up until they finally closed for the night and then no one would answer the phone when we called. The Good: NICE newer car. Pickup van had air conditioning in it. The Bad: #1) not the smoothest start, as the instructions are on the email, to call as you get to the arrival area. BUT, the area was many sections away from where one would typically be. They wanted A11, but we started around A40! #2) Their setup area was terrible. Slower, due to many hidden fees (Insurance for if the company can't use the car)! I have NEVER heard of that one. $20/day. #3) Other hidden fees, include the tolls. Either you get fined a maintenance fee for EACH toll at $25 plus the toll, or take the $16/day unlimited toll rate. No other options are available. #4) Hidden HOLD fees which decrease as you take the other hidden fees! Either $1000 or around $150. Very drastic! #5) We were told that we should drop the car off at another location, but upon doing so were told that they had not moved yet and had to go back to the original location. (Which took extra time.) #6) What are they Flexways? Actually my information shows Szega, or something else like that! 🤷🏾‍♂️ #7) A very dirty bathroom existed for patrons. Toilet didn't flush. #8) Our pickup guy asked to wait for 2 minutes once he got in from dropping off other persons, but took more than 5 minutes...in the dirty bathroom. #9) They dropped us off in the pickup location (IN ARRIVALS)! We were departing Florida, though. Why wouldn't we be taken to Departures? 🤷🏾‍♂️ I will NEVER use them again. It was a very tedious process, and gave me a very bad feeling on enting a vehicle. What started around $105, doubled to $215.

There were 5 people In line. It took 2 hours to get to the desk. Many employees came in and saw the back up but instead of helping the customers, they chatted with other employees and chatted with the only person behind the counter, slowing the process even more. The vehicle was very dirty. The mileage on my paper work said the vehicle had 200k miles when it only had 150k on the odometer. The paper work said the gas was at 3/4 of a tank. The vehicle actually only had 1/4 tank. The A/C knobs were broken. The steering wheel was sticky and there was dirt of the passenger seat and trash on the floor in the back.

The good: they had a car as promised. The not good: they lured me in with a “too good to be true” price a week prior to arrival; then informed me I needed to carry an absurd amount of insurance on my policy, otherwise I need to purchase their insurance at $35 per day. No effort was made to make me aware of this policy prior to arriving. By then you’ve taken the shuttle way outside the airport; and your basically stuck with a huge bill you weren’t planning on. Better to be upfront with customers re: the real cost of the rental before committing to it. But again, they did have a car available.

Everything must be dealt with before, both the price, requirements and documentation and when the client pays, the business is closed, and it is criminal that we cleinyes are surprised when we arrive for what we buy or lease. This was hands down one of the most stressful, heartless experiences I’ve ever had with a car rental company. I rented a car from AddCar in Orlando, FL and clearly told the employee at pickup that we were driving to South Carolina to see my dying brother. He had every opportunity to tell us we were not allowed to leave the state of Florida. He said nothing. Everything seemed fine. The next day, after arriving in South Carolina and staying overnight at a hotel, they remotely kill-switched the car. The vehicle would not start, would not shift into neutral—completely disabled. We were stranded, panicked, and had no idea what was happening. When we called AddCar, they told us we “weren’t allowed” to take the car out of Florida and claimed it was written in bold letters in the middle of the contract. That is completely false. It was buried in fine print, and the so-called policy states that if you leave the state you must pay $1,900 PLUS $1 per mile. We were already about 450 miles away. After waiting, a manager finally called and demanded the $1,900. We explained we did not have that kind of money and reminded him that their employee NEVER mentioned this restriction—despite knowing exactly where we were going and why. He eventually “discounted” it and still forced us to pay $1,000 just to get the car turned back on. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, we were told we now had to drive the car back into Florida, return it as originally scheduled, and figure out our own way back to South Carolina. This cost us an entire day of driving—time that should have been spent with my dying brother. This company showed zero compassion, zero accountability, and uses predatory fine-print policies combined with remote kill switches to trap customers into paying outrageous fees. What they did was cruel, stressful, and completely unnecessary. If you value transparency, basic human decency, or not being stranded hundreds of miles from home—DO NOT RENT FROM ADDCAR. There are plenty of other rental companies in Orlando. Choose literally anyone else.
