Cool building, nice facilities. The view is amazing and the location is a short ride to good food areas like Little Tokyo. Bathroom was tiny, there was a small piece of gum stuck on the carpet in my room.

Everything was beautiful. From our rooms, it is worth upgrading. To the rotating lounge to get a full view of the city. There was something to do all over the hotel. We only left to go to the NBA game! Food, entertainment, night life. The Westin Bonaventure has it all. Wish Starbucks carries their normal breakfast items.
"Complementary" wi-fi wouldn't let me connect under any circumstances! Very frustrating when traveling for business and connectivity is an essential need!!!
Very luxurious when walking in. Room looks clean but there was dust in bathroom and I saw fingernail inbeteen bed and nightstand. Phone was not plugged in and did not work
The location was convenient to the end purpose of our stay. The staff were poorly trained. We didn't deal with one person who seemed to even act like they cared we were. We travel a lot, and the way the staff behaved put them in the bottom 25% for customer service skills.
Staff at check excellent. Location next to Staples Center. One block from the 'Pantry' historic diner. Ordered lamb meatballs at the bar and they were barely warm. TV in room has mostly grainy low definition channels. Scanning room key in elevator to access floor worked after the third attempt. I won't stay here again. Expected more from this brand.
Valet parking staff was rude

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. It is a very nice hotel, and we had a lovely stay. Met all of our needs The staff at the pool were a bit rude and not attentive. Took about 45 minutes to get our drink and food after we ordered it, and no apologies were given.

Clean, modern, friendly staff (at least the ones I had contact with). Convenient location for LA Live events obviously, which was our reason for staying here. A bit overpriced if you ask me. The parking is absolutely ridiculous!!! $42 a night! I've paid less for rooms! For the price you pay to stay here parking should be free or at best a minimum fee for guests since there are no alternative parking areas. Room service, way overpriced as usual but the added fees and taxes are ridiculous and the food is just ok.

While the staff was outstanding, the peace and quite was priceless, especially with the chaos of LA Live! The mattress was a little firm for my liking, but the bedding was exceptional!

Clean facilities. 1. Entrance loop is too narrow with too few valet workers. If they pull up your car, you will be at the back of the loop. You have to wait for half a dozen cars in front of you before you can exit! 2. Extremely uncomfortable beds that offer no support. 3. Staff manages tasks does not offer service level befitting the price of the hotel.
The 48$ parking fee is simply outrageous.
Location of hotel for what I wanted was good. Disappointed to pay for a 4 star hotel and get a 3 star room. I was at the omni for a meeting and extended my stay over the weekend. I was moved to a lower quality room and paid current hotel rates. David
Loved the comfortable bed, friendliness of staff, and especially the convenient courtesy car! While I normally use Lyft or Uber, I actually found the courtesy car faster and the drivers more knowledgable about the area. I tried both Lyft and Uber and both drivers took long and got lost. If you are here on business, the courtesy car is the way to go, especially as the drivers know the area well, especially the places you need to get to quickly for work. Lack of spa facilities. I booked a facial with the Omni Spa expecting there to be actual spa facilities since the price of a facial was as high as any resort spa (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, waiting room with tea and snacks) but there was none of that. I went down early to the spa area and was told to just come a few minutes before my appointment (there is no where to really hang out for an extended period). The pool outside was uninviting as it was drizzling. And there was just the fitness room down there and a small waiting area for the spa treatment rooms. The facial was very good, but I was just surprised/disappointed with the "spa" area.

The reception staff were friendly, and the room looked nice. The room service is the worst I have ever experienced ! They come and don't change the sheets and never clean garbage and tissues if any is on the floor they leave it ! And once they left the cleaning stuff in our bathroom. I hated the room service so bad! And the complimentary water one day they put the other they don't ! It's just bad service
My husband and I stayed at Lux after the concert at Staple Center. The hotel is right across the street from Staple Center. There are lots of restaurants close by too. The front desk could not find our reservation but I was lucky to have print out with me. Then, we had to wait until after 3.45 pm. to check-in. I wonder if the hotel don't have enough housekeepers .

From the first day we came, the staff was very friendly and helpful with all our needs. Our dogs were given a warm welcome and the front desk accommodated us with recommendations on where to shop and walk our animals. We will always come back here in the luxury hotel for its staff and location. We liked our views, location,staff and walk friendly property.

Great place. I like the Ace. Cool rooftop bar. My only hang-up is that there was some serious construction outside. I would have liked to have known this ahead of time. I'll definitely go back after the construction is finished.
Hotel itself is beautiful, rooftop bar is pretty cool, attached to wonderful Theater. Looks like a broke New York hipster's studio apartment. All unfinished concrete and the bed looks and feels like a futon. Parking is an extra $38. Only stayed here for convenience to theater. Absurd for the price.
Delivered stylish service and amenities without sacrificing the professionalism of a traditional hotel. Downstairs restaurant particularly good. No closing door on bathroom is highly awkward. Not cute if someone joins you in your room.

Bed and pillows were ok. Carpet was in good condition. Bath tub drain surrounded by rust. Sink had chips. Toilet paper was very scratchy.

Booked the hotel and got a confirmation email. When going to check in at 11:30 at night I was told I had no reservation. After being in the phone for an hour with customer service, I was told my reservation was actually in Wisconsin. WISCONSIN?! Thanks for making me stranded in downtown LA at midnight. I will never use this service again.
I liked the downtown location the price was good for that type of hotel. Free cookies at check in are nice but they didn't have any :( I watched some homeless person wipe their behind a block away on my arrival. The late night staff was grumpy and non-helpful.
The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cookies were unlimited. I would come back. NO POOL???? This is LA! 85 degree and NO Pool? Seriously? Also parking was crazy high! $35 a night to park at a hotel that I'M PAYING to stay at is just stupid. There should be complimentary parking. We stayed at the Sheraton downtown to be within walking distance to a hockey game at Staples Centre. The hotel location was great for this. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a renovated room which was very nice. The Sheraton hotels always seem to have the most comfortable beds in any hotel. The bed was the most comfortable of all the hotels we stayed at during our week long vacation. Linens and towels were great as well. We did not like the fact that we had to pay for wifi. A hotel of this star rating and price should have complimentary wifi for guests, especially since it is located downtown and I presume there would be many guests there on business. We also found that when we attempted web access without wifi that there was little reception on the 21 floor, so we were without web access that day. Our room was located 2 doors away from the elevators which was noisy. The water pressure in the shower was quite terrible.

Nobody picks telephone at the reception. The front desk staff are either very few in number or they are not trained. I never got phone calls connected to my room inspite of calling the front desk manytimes. Due to this I had lots of problem.

I enjoyed the location of being downtown, with easy acess from the freeway. The staff particularly in the cafe was outstanding. I did not like the fact of not fully disclosing the cost per night for the room; Exam. the room was 115. plus tax. Great. Terrible, Occupany tax approximately $16. Parking, 28.00 per day. If one would have known those additional cost up front, one could have made additional accomodations. The money was not the object, the surprise element of not disclosing the true amount. I felt like this was a ploy of the unknown!Plus, I am approximately 6'3 and enjoy a bath tub. This room did not have a tub, instead a phobic shower that one could not litterally move around in. This was majorily dissappointing, however, hotel should be about comfort and convienece. Other than that, the Sheraton would do!
It was full of history and beautiful. Great location! The hotel and building itself was wonderful. Free breakfast. Parking is reasonably priced. Definitely going back again. Bed was slightly uncomfortable. TV was awkwardly placed and small.

Great bar and restaurants on site. Great little shop with excellent variety of food and drink options along with adorable gifts. Great room service - yummy breakfast! Good customer service. King size room was great with no issues. Only minor comment we could make would be the hotel elevators - seem to be under renovation which is hopefully a good thing as they were a bit shaky and scary with one half of the elevators completely out of service.
This hotel is in transition and making an very honest effort to make it into a destination for all travelers. They are doing a good job. change takes time and with that. Elevators are not up to par and there is a feeling of being in a "remodel" but the staff is great and I would return without pause ATM was a real pain. Have to follow up with my bank because it did the entire transaction but for giving me my money. Parking being a separate charge is a miss too

The rooms were big as well as the bathrooms. The hotel itself was decorated nicely. When I was there, all but one elevator was broken and it would take 15 minutes or more for an elevator to come. There were lines of 20 people or more waiting on the elevator. It was awful. Also, valet is slow. The only parking is valet for $35/night which is fine, however it would take way too long to get your car. They weren't organized very well.
Room and bed were large and comfortable. The in-room coffee left something to be desired. The small packets of powdered creamer were barely enough for a small cup of coffee, even using both of them. And there were no glasses in the room . . just plastic cups.
They sold my reservation and wanted me to stay in a Sheraton in Universal city putting me about an hour out with traffic and my appointment was at 530pm in downtown LA and 7am at the LA hotel the next morning. They blamed Kayak and stated that "you" sell reservations when open reservations don't exist. They took no blame or responsibility. I had to stay in another hotel near LA hotel because my appointment was at 7am there at LA hotel! I want my money back

Extremely not happy with my stay. The staff were the worst. Once we arrived they didn't open the door, the staff were talking together and ignore us. We took our bags by ourselves. We paid $35 for the valet parking per day and it wasn't worth the price at all. We have to wait for a long time to get the car. Also, the staff treated us very badly. If it's four stars hotel, they should have more sophisticated staff. Not worth the price. Not realistic in the reviews.

THIS HOTEL IS BEAUTIFUL, THE STAFF WAS GREAT, GOOD LOCATION, FOR DOWNTOWN BUSINESS. THE BATHROOM WAS OLD, AND SMALL, NO COUNTER SPACE FOR TOILETRIES, IT ALSO HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED VERY WELL, I'M BLONDE, AND AS SOON AS I WALKED INTO THE BATHROOM, THERE WAS A LONG BLACK HAIR IN THE SINK. STAFF DID COME RIGHT AWAY TO CLEAN. YOU COULD NOT WORK THE REMOTE CONTROL FOR THE TV FROM THE BED, BATTERIES MAY HAVE BEEN LOW, I DON'T KNOW. ICE MACHINE, WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HOTEL, AND DOWN ONE FLIGHT OF STAIRS.
The room was very comfortable and in general very nice. The staff was extremely kind. The cleaning staff would always smile and say good morning, and the receptionist was very accommodating. I had many issues actually getting a room upfront, but the receptionist was thankfully very patient and helpful. It's a nice hotel, but it feels like it hasn't received a renovation within the past two decades. Mostly in the bathroom, the faucet and shower are very old style, and an upgrade would be nice.

While in los Angeles for the day me and my girlfriend decided to stay the night. Found this place in kayak and it was a great deal so we stayed. Best decision of my trip! Didn't like that parking was so expensive but you take the good with the bad,
I don't like booking into a boutique hotel expecting the same basic accommodations as you might find in a Motel 6 and finding that they're going to charge you for every little thing. $10/night for WiFi in a hotel that charges hundreds per night per room is straight up ridiculous and I will not book into this hotel ever again for that reason. The staff did their jobs, but the only one who offered a smile was a maid. All the front desk staff were incredibly dour.
The lobby was beautiful. The room I stayed in was old. Had a cob web in the corner. Charged $45 for valet parking without notifying me explicitly. Charged 10 a day for wifi access.

Love the grandeur and art of the lobby, tea room, cognac room. Concierge very good. Please never renovate this feel - really inspiring! Loved the live performance of pianist. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Love the shutters on window. My shower never got hot! Room by elevator noisy with people coming and going. No luggage rack? Wifi was really slow and unreliable.

This historic hotel is currently undergoing restoration but management and staff has made it relatively unobtrusive. Staff was very congenial and attentive. If the price is right we'd most definitely would stay here again.

I love the style at the Standard. It has character without sacrificing quality, and the food at the restaurant is superb. Not much negative to say. Water collected in the soap dish. Uhhhh....?
Rooftop pool was really nice. The room itself wasn't really comfortable. I get the minimalistic / boutique feel the hotel was going for, but it was very basic and didn't seem worth the price. Also, the see through bathroom wall (from the bed area) was a bit odd...it should at least be opaque.

We loved the pillows and bed so much! The see through shower was really cool. We loved how modern the style was.we We didn't like how the mini bar menu did specify every alcoholic drink. It stated the red bull cost $5 but got billed $13.. So watch for that.
Clean and modern Nothing
The minibar was the most complete minibar I've ever seen. They had everything from tic tacs and gum to shaving cream and maps. It was very helpful and even some really nice hotels only have water and one or two snacks. This was really interesting for me. The restaurant food was good, and the room decor was funky and interesting as well. The view wasn't the best, but it was fine for one night.
The AHS looking hallways and elevator. Creepy but so kool. I didn't like the bel man to check in my 18 pack. Not kool
The food was excellent. Definitely above Standard. :) Their minimalist style was executed well. Food was delivered quickly for room service. There was no alarm clock or clock in the room. This posed many problems for me. I had to turn on the tv and flip the channel to get a momentary glimpse of the time. Also, the mini fridge was crammed full of drinks so that there was no room to house leftover food. The gym was stagnant, dark, and claustrophobic. The equipment was in great shape and functional, but being in that room was a struggle mentally. The walls were a terrible wood-paneling that accentuated the windowless, dark smallness of the room. There was no music, or tv to drown out the silence. Also, on my last morning I found that my arm was eaten up by what could only have been bedbugs.

The Standard is in a great area of Downtown Los Angeles. It is in proximity to a lot of great places. We chose to go there because of the rooftop bar they have at the hotel- you get to skip the line if you're staying there. The room was modern and simple but it had really nice amenities and an awesome bathtub with an interesting shower. Breakfast at the restaurant is really good and they sell a lot of cool, quirky stuff at the gift shop. A Los Angeles must for a younger group. Our room was on the third floor and overlooking downtown and the valet area. Since there is a restaurant downstairs, they play loud music and it was bumping until 2am. You come to expect this at such a trendy hotel, but they also give you earplugs in the room. I think it just adds to the vibe of the hotel but some people may not appreciate it.
Wifi No breakfast included
Was able to get an early check-in. My friend left an item in the room and the hotel called to let me know they had it. Location is perfect as there are many restaurants nearby. Plus they have bidets! Enough said! Overnight parking is $30 but that's probably the going rate for hotels in that area so what can you do?
Convenient location to little Tokyo shops and restaurants. Thick walls (we partied hard and had no complaints from our neighbors.) Japanese toilets, Spa inside hotel, fast elevators. Not very spacious rooms, the spa was pretty expensive. For the price I paid I didn't get the kind of service I expected. We requested a spacious room, but our friends room was much larger.
The mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean. I could tell the staff pays close attention to details. Simply beautiful facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great computer/scanner/Wi-Fi. The parking. We chose not to have valet parking due to the cost. The parking structure next door had a bit of a walk to get back to the hotel and signage was missing but we found our way. Narrow and steep driving in the parking garage. The breakfast was $23.00 which for us was high. I think it should have been in the $10.00 range. For the cost, it would have been nice to have a free continental breakfast. There was no microwave in the room. They have now closed the spa.
The location in the heart of Little Tokyo is ideal for a week's worth of adventures! The AC in the rooms kicks on very fast, and they also feature bidet-style restrooms. The executive suites are pretty large and accommodating. The public parking facility is also basically "connected" to the hotel, and is half the price and four times the size of Miyako's garage. Staff is very friendly, and if you are nice and courteous, you will find that they will go the extra mile for you! The walls were so thin that I heard my neighbor sneeze very clearly. I could also hear full-on conversations from other neighbors (not eavesdropping, just extremely audible). I felt badly for those around me because if I heard a solitary sneeze during the hustle and bustle of mid-day, I can only imagine what my coughing must have sounded like during some parts of the previous night. I should also note that the beds were extremely stiff and unforgiving, this may be a pro for some sleepers, however, depending on preference. Also, the actual walk from the public parking garage to the lobby with bags is sort of, "sucky," for lack of a better word. Especially if you're a girl in heels :( ... There lacks signage on the best/quickest route to Miyako from the garage, and the route is somewhat sketchy at night (again, especially for a woman in heels ... alone). Overall, if there is room, park in the hotel garage and pay the extra fee for safety and convenience.
Great location in Little Tokyo with lots of good restaurants and stores nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room is a bit dated with a musty smell. There was a panel separated from the wall.

I traveled with my 3 teenage boys and we had enough space and room to feel comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to check in early and supplied extra bedding within a few minutes of requesting it. A taxi was arranged for our travel to the airport and the front staff allowed my son to heat up some food. I was very impressed.
The hotel itself is okay. It was clean and convenient. We had an unpleasant experience with the parking attendant and the front desk person. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that parking is full. The parking attendant told us directions to park our car. As we followed his instructions, we realized that the lot is a public parking lot. He didn't tell us about this. We asked the parking attendant how much the public lot will cost and he said he doesnt know. So he directed us to park at this parking lot without knowing how much it will cost. Then we went to the front desk to ask, and the front desk person is unsure either...why would you tell your guest to park at that parking lot of you don't know how much it will cost them?! And the cause was because the hotel's parking lot was full when we arrived and we arrived at 6pm which is not terribly late. Never coming back again due to horrible service.
The rooms needed more light.
The Miyako hotel is a comfortable, clean and well-run establishment. The spa offered excellent massages, as well as hot tubs and wet and dry saunas. The staff were impeccable. The location is around the corner from tourist destinations live the Geffen Contemporary and the Japanese-American museum, and the neighborhood is brimming with excellent Japanese food and shops. It's easy to uber anywhere from here. Downtown LA may shock some, with the numbers of homeless and the mix of sophisticated and gritty all together. That said, it's great to be in a neighborhood with culture and community.

The location is great, especially if you are attending a show at the Convention Center. The size and layout of the rooms are great, especially if you want added space for a meeting. Having a full kitchen and washer and dryer is certainly an added plus at these long meetings. Parking was great. Everyone at the property was super helpful and customer oriented and made you feel at home. The bedding and carpeting need a refresh. The hardwood, cabinets, and fixtures are all updated, but the room carpeting seemed 15 years old, it was so out of place it just stuck in my mind. A small blemish on an overall good experience.

Breakfast lounge was excellent. We were able to check in very early by taking handicapped room. Wifi was good. Room layout was nice and residential aspect was nice. Didn't have to prepay. Microwave didn't work and they didn't have a replacement. Coffee wasn't replenished.
Location is good. Rooms are big Not worth the money. No choice for breakfast, they are offering plastic plates and forks for the breakfast
The rooms were nice and clean, no noise from the other rooms. service was amazing. Security and hotel transportation was amazing. Best memories will always stay of the first impression that I received when visiting Los Angeles. I give it a five star

This hotel is very close to Staples Center, LA Convention Center, and LA Live. There is a Starbucks and Ralphs nearby as well as several affordable restaurants, including two 24 hour spots. The cost of this hotel, compared to other hotels in the location, is quite cheap. The staff is friendly enough. You get what you pay for. This hotel is in quite an old building so some things can't be helped or would require a major investment. If you know what you're in for this hotel could be good enough for a short trip. If you're expecting a 3+ star hotel, look elsewhere. The rooms are very small. The sink is in the room instead of in the bathroom. The showers are very small. The windows don't shut 100%, street sounds can be heard. Especially at 1:00 AM when people are beginning to leave bars or concerts at the Staples Center. The closets are tiny, the hangers in them have to be at an angle to shut the door. The door to the room I had during this trip would stick; so, I had to be extra forceful to get it open or closed. During my two visits at this hotel I requested and was approved for late checkout. Neither time was housekeeping informed. The first time the housekeeper was knocking on the door at 11am trying to get in to clean the room. My Spanish and her English were both poor so while the point got across eventually, it was awkward because I was just out of the shower. This time I returned to my room to find the door propped open with a wet towel and nobody around. None of my things were disturbed so I shut the door to get ready to shower. The housekeeper promptly knocked and asked if I was checking out. I let her know I had late check out and she returned to another room. The room I stayed in during this trip had a faint foul odor. They could use some of those air fresheners that go off on a timer. Finally, roaches. During my trip last year I killed one large roach. I knew this wasn't a great hotel so I wasn't exactly shocked by the creature. This time I killed one small one in the evening and 10 more in the morning (ranging from very small to large). The number of them was disturbing because I would catch the movement in the corner of my eye and then kill them. If I was less observant I may not have noticed all of them; but truthfully I may have missed many more even with the number I killed.
The location is good. It's near the metro and convention center. My room was quiet. The free breakfast is basic but a nice add-on. The hotel is old and while the lobby looks decent, my room felt really dirty. It also smelled bad. I was afraid to step on the carpet with my bare feet or even my socks. I also didn't feel comfortable drinking the tap water there so I had to buy bottled water. There are also lots of homeless people hanging around the hotel. The front desk attendant doubles as the "security" attendant as well. There were times that I wondered how easily homeless and other uninvited guests could get into the building. On the last night I did see a roach in my bathroom. The ice machines were all broken except for one.
Liked the location. Was 1 block away from where I needed to be the next morning. My room was super small.
I was with friends. Their room had a closet blocked by a side table and a side area with wires hanging from the ceiling. The two person room I had was smaller that the one person room my friends had and the bathroom was barely big enough for one person to stand and turn around or do anything. The room was not cleaned all the way and they did not give us fresh towels. Breakfast was meager: waffle maker, juice/milk, hot/cold cereal, fruit and pastries. I would never stay there again. Nothing in the pictures was what in my room and nothing in my room reflected the amount I paid. No one in my party was happy with their room. The location was fine as we could walk everywhere we needed, but I had to park in a lot down the street. All in all this was an expensive hotel for no reason.

It got the job done, the breakfasts were pretty good. The elevators were a little scary, and the building and facilities are pretty old and it's showing its age. The room was small but big enough for the basics. It was a little uncomfortable at first, but it got more comfortable as time went on. Parking is not included and costs $18/day next to the hotel. The shower was almost comically small. My shoulders are wider than it. No refrigerator in the room.
The location being downtown LA that's all. I don't like that online the hotel room looks 100% different than how the rooms really look. I don't like that the bed was broken right when we walked in. I don't like that they have a sink next to the television set and outlet system (very dangerous). I don't like that the bathroom toilet had urine in it already and the shower grout had hair and a sort of residue on the floor. I don't like that the room smelt musky and dusty. I don't like that the I spent so much for false advertising. All in all I don't like this place. And there is literally no other positive except for the location, that's it.
Room is narrow small uncomfortable, we cann't put up with the narrow bed, gray leafletsand the only one old elevator.
I stayed at the Milner Hotel while on a business trip to LA. The hotel is located within walking distance from my office. My overall experience was good but I wouldn't stay there for a vacation. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay and the best of the two was the King Suite, it had plenty of room and looked newer and cleaner. The other room with a queen bed was too small and looked older and not as clean. Only one of the two elevators was working and so it was a long wait for the elevator. At one point both elevators were broken and I stayed on the eleventh floor, so that's a long way up and down.
The location and staff were excellent The room in bad shape. Very old and dated. Smelled. Not clean. Sheets were old.
