Cons: There was zero signage for drop off. Missed my train because I spent 30 plus minutes looking for the location.
Drop-off charge or prepayment?
Cons: - Although I had prepayed the rental cost, I was told I needed to pay a "drop-off" charge which is "never" prepayed. That charge would have doubled the total cost of the trip. I did not accept it, and finally managed to go with the prepayment bill, but the rental car agent became very moody after this. - The rental cars in France are supposed to have some accessories such as a warning triangle, extra light bulbs and a blue parking card. I only found the first item in the car. - The water tank for windshield wiping was empty. Which I only discovered when the birds made a mess on the windshield. The day after, I had to use soap and hot water to clean the window. Without this, the visibility was very poor at sunset time.

Pros: I like the car
Cons: When we arrived, the car was not ready, so the person attending had to clean it up and prepare it. The worst part however was the return. The same guy was on the phone when I arrived and completely ignored me and another person for 10 minutes. When I gestured if it easy Ok to leave the keys, he pretty much insulted me. I travel around the world every month and always rent from different companies, but my last three Hertz experiences this year have been utter nonsense. I won't be renting from Hertz ever again.
Did exactly what was needed
Pros: Liked the car, no issues, efficient drop off.
Cons: Pick up could have had less queue if they had more staff.

Pros: Courteous employees at the desk and in the l to (they missed damage on the vehicle and corrected that and apologized)
Cons: Kayak stated $15/day for GPS, but Hertz charged Euro 30 (= $36); never received a receipt from Hertz

The queue at the desk very long. Not very friendly when receiving the car at the parking.

Pros: Everything except the cost for Insurance was great. There wasn't much wait to pick up the car, and the process was easy. We got a nice upgrade to a small SUV, due to the fact automatic transmission is less common in France.
Cons: The cost for partial insurance on the vehicle was over EUR 900! The rental itself was $540 (USD). I don't believe Hertz itself is providing the coverage, but the cost is prohibitive and requires you to drive the car with no insurance (aside from the 3rd party liability included). This gives me pause about renting cars in the future, given the huge liability this exposes one to.

Pros: The online reservation process seemed easy enough...too bad reserving in advance doesn't actually mean anything...
Cons: We showed up and there were no automatic cars available, even though I'd made a reservation for one! My husband and I had taken off work and walked all the way across town with our luggage and food for our trip only to find out that they only had manuals and that potentially we could come back the next day. We ended up having to go with another rental car agency and pay almost double the rate we should have paid had our car actually existed at Hertz. I can't believe you all can get away with that! And the lady behind the desk didn't even offer us a discount on a future reservation or anything! Very disappointed.
