The hotel is the nearest to Frankfurt Book Fair, breakfast was good, Customer Relations lady was great. Hotel needs renovating asap, or at least "superior" floor, I paid to stay at that floor while it wasn't up to standards. Services of concierge or bellboy was very bad.
closeness to the trade fair the prices of Food and unbeliveable prices at the Bar
extreme convience for the Messe Frankfurt trade fair ground and the associated convention centre no tea or coffee making facilities in the room
The ease of acess to the Fair was excellent and the overall service and entertainment was very good
Room was not cleaned! Bath-towels on the floor, dirty toilet/bathroom, bed was not done, it was as dirty place! Management only did sent a short letter to appologize and to tell that they will train their people better, nothing more! Completely done with the Maritim organisation...
Having booked a superior room without breakfast I was pleased that there was a lounge where I could have free snacks and drinks, which at breakfast time were as good as any breakfast and at the evening it was a full meal. I also had a room bar with free soft drinks and wine, as well as tea/coffee maker. The cold tap for the bath did not work at all so the bath could only be filled from the shower head.
The hotel is nice and confortable. the guy singing on the bar from 18.00 is the best employer of this Hotel.located sided to messe - great for plp in work or convention there.
conveniently located near the Messe Old fashioned, limited service (restaurants & bars opening hours are limited), furniture in the rooms not clean and old dated, no view, noisy.
Was at an Exhibition
The location was most convenient. The breakfast buffet in the main dining area closed too early in order for the staff to set up for lunch. The secondary (later) buffet in another, smaller room was not of the same caliber - less than anticipated and not a good value for the cost.
It was convenient to the Frankfurt Messe, within walking distance. Very basic boarding house, but clean and functional. Grossly overpirced for what is, even during the exhibition periods.
Excellent location. near main railway station, but quite safe. grocery store rewe nearby, Tram station opposite hotel. very clean rooms. free wifi in the room. Tea / coffee making facility should have been be there in the room!
Closeness to train station and cleanliness no food options
The location is convenient. The room was not fancy, but clean and a perfectly good place to sleep. The tv worked as it should. The internet connection was reasonably fast and was free with my online booking. The staff was helpful. At this price, I thought it was perfect.
Excellent offer for a very good room Fridge not working , noisy in the morning as room faced to a main road.
A few steps from central station, and with good connections to almost any part of the city. The receptionist was very helpful in providing information. Free WiFi is available, even if at the desk a sign informs that you should pay for it! even if other guests complained about the surroundings, I did not find anything different from other areas around the main station of large european cities. There is only one (slow) lift and it may take a while to get it around breakfast time.
Hotel was extremely clean; Location is perfect; Staff were pleasant and forthcoming;
Neat & Clean The internet on the 5th floor was poor. The wireless router on the 5th floor had issues.
I have stayed is this hotel already a few times and the quality levels are excellent. Staff is very friendly in a natural way. Parking available at hotel.
excellent customer service. special thanks to Matthias Eisner who on request recommended an authentic German restaurant and then went and downloaded the menu for our consideration.
Service. No tea/coffee making facilities.
Front staff members are very pretentious. Not worth paying that much for this kind of value hotel.
Very nice hotel that I had visited. Expensive room fee not include breakfast
The staff very well educated including the door man. no , everything was perfect
This hotel deserves its five stars. The rooms in the new addition in the rear are particularly quiet and well-equiped. The hotel is, however, expensive. But if you need 5 stars in Ffm, this is, in my view, the place to stay. There is nothing that I did not like.
Personal service - great staff Water pressure / shower
A first class hotel which was very conveniently located for where I was doing business The absence of an informal dining facility. There are limited quality restaurent options close by and I ended up going to another hotel (Flemings)
1.excellent location just opposite the fair entrance of messe frankfurt, 2. beutiful hotel with warm atmosphere, 3. the best hot chocolate i ever drunk,4. breakfast very qualitative but expensive, 5. free internet and mini bar filled up every day, 6. separate bathroom and toilet room 1. the baby cot did not have a matress!!-had to put duvet and blankets in order for the baby to sleep, 2. the cleaning of the room was inadequate, carpet had stains and looked dirty, 3. a nursery school is opposite the hotel and kids are very noisy during evening hours - they kept waiking up the baby every day
The staff was extremely helpful, the amenities were exceptional. I specifically liked the fresh fruit in the room, the filled ice bucket upon arrival, the complimentary mini-bar, and the slippers left at turn-down. Nothing
Location opposite Trade Fair complex. Friendly helpful staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Great view from 27th floor. Breakfast at Euros 27 per head is very expensive.
Very friendly staff and good room allocation though I booked a holiday "package" If you provide water in your standard rooms, are you sure you want to charge for it? (Especially, if the price from the hotel shop downstairs is cheaper.)
Breathtaking view from the upper floors (hotel accupies 26-43 floors of the tower); generouus breakfast
Excellent facility, friendly and accommodating staff, excellent services.
Convenience for the Messe (exhibition centre)
the standard of services and hospitality not at all
The convenience to the Frankfurt Book Fair; the convenience to the center of town; and the helpfulness of the staff. The televisions need to be upgraded as do the carpets in the room.
I enjoyed the hotel very much. The two restaurants location in the lobby of the hotel were excellent. This was the first time staying at a Marriott hotel. I felt that the guests of the hotel should be entitled for free parking because of the high price of the rooms. This is not true. If you have a car either you park it on the street or in their garage where you pay a high fee.
Room - quite spacious and nice Lounge-if you have access to the lounge then you have a nice served with different menu every hours and pretty decent for kind of full meal. Parking-pretty expensive 32euro per night and not for in n out, hourly about 3.5euro. Elevator-very old and very slow; the sensor sometime doesn't work and got hit once. Payment-if you're using card from US, they automatically carge it to USD with mark up 3%.
Everything! Room Service food was excellent too. Not applicable
Reservation employees was so friendly. the Minibar is not working , the iron was not working, cleaning the room was not good.
Clean rooms , good location Overpriced Doesn't even have umbrellas for guests
The breakfast is great. The washing machine is free of charge. The location is excellent. The room space is more than expected. I have a baby with stroller. Unfortunately no ramp for it!! I have to carry it up the stairs to the 1st floor or downstairs to the reception area. That was really tedious. Also, the doors are not opening automatically and also needs a key not a magnetic card which makes the life very difficult each time we need to go In and Out of the hotel. The kitchen tools are useless and in a bad condition. The stuff are very neutral. No help, no smile, no offering for help. I'm not saying that they were offensive. They respected me but didn't feel that they are welcoming me. The left is very very small. One person with small stroller can use the left at a time. Finally, the star rating for this hotel says that it is 4 starts and this is very misleading
Excellent location, very friendly staff, massive room, more like a flat, large terrace, large desk They could do a lot better in providing shampoo etc. Second morning shampoo/ shower gel (which wasn't great) had run out
friendly staff, excellent location.
the breakfast was excellent! the staff, especially the lady at the breakfast buffet was very helpful and kind, even though we had three children with us. also the rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed. All in all, a very positive experience the room smelled a bit of cigarrettes when we came.
Located 1 block from the Ubahn and restaurants. Across the street from a lovely park. Walking distance to museums, historic sites. The room was a good size and well equipped including kitchen. Nice breakfast-fresh foods with good variety. Shower stall was smallish and had ill functioning doors.
Very close to city centre. Nice warm room with full cooking facilities The apartment for 3 people is a bit small
It was big, nice parket floor and clean The bathroom could be renowated. There was an evidence of poor trys of hiding mildew in the bathroom, but generally it was well cleaned. Safe didn't work but we didn' need it anyway.
The room was big and the hotel is very close to the center. The area is very safe and clean. Some of the staff are not friendly.
Good location, spacious well equipped apartment.
Pets in the hotel togeather with other guests
it was a very friemdly and clean , good returent. service was wonderful we like every thing about it
A thank you to all your staff for the friendliness during our stay. The exhibition was tiring and it was lovely to be greated with a smile when you walked back into the Hotel.
Hotel front desk very help full and service of buffet breakfast also very good
New modern facilities Poor restaurant service
I liked every thing, it was more than my expectations>n my opinion ; it is the best in Frankfurt. parking was a bit costy, but we found a free parking in front of the hotel + an expensive breakfast.
Nice and clean hotel I was difficult to find as GPS did not respond to street name, But we were happy to find this nice hotel
Very very clean:-))))
value for money. Nothing
air conditions was not working fine enough
The location is perfect, the hotel was lovely and quiet and the room I was in was very large and pleasant. It's a very minor thing, but the shampoo was of very poor quaility.
For me was the most important fact, that hotel is located close to the Fairground, so we could walk to the Fair. Secondly, the location is exlellent, quiet during night, peacefull and many nice small restaurants / Mediteranian - Greek restaurant was exellent/ in the nearest walking distance. Personal of the Hotel was friendly and kind, offering all the service they could.. I did not expacted much, so I got more...
good breakfast, nice (residential) neighbourhood. the hotel simply doesn't match the description/pictures on the profile. It is by far not as nice as suggested by the pics. Lower floors smell bad. I reported twice that the light in the corridor did not work, and the staff said they would fix it, which never happened.
most I liked location only, the rest so so rooms must be cleaned each day! Ventilation is poor...
Great location; simple but acceptable amenities; excellent price. No
Very close to the Frankfurter Messe, friendly people Bath without a decent shower. You could smell the sigaret smoke of the previous visitor (or from the room below, not sure), although I ordered a non-smoking room.
I liked the hotel very much. The central location in a quiet street is very good, the interiors are very simple but you have everything you need. The breakfast was very tasty. I didn't like the noise of closing doors. Its quite disturbung, I think it could be made more silent.
The breakfast was excellent and do not allow anyone to say otherwise! I did some help finding the plates, however.
The hotel was walking distance to the shopping centre. The restuarants in the area were good. The toilet tiles yuk
The hotel is within walking distance from Messe.
location near the fair ground (10 min walking distance), clean and nice bed .....
Good breakfast and very clean Room very small and has got no work space. Also there was no free internet at the room.
Quiet and no customer inside Extra costs like breakfast and parking were not showed before booking confirmation, and it was not mentionned that the offer excluded breakfast...
Hotel is convenient to the main train station and a half hour walk into Frankfurt's old town, although I had to be careful about the route I took. They offer free internet. Hotel was clean, comfortable and well maintained. I think the hotel's location is better situated for a business traveller than for a tourist. Many nearby restaurants and cafes were closed on Sat. and Sunday.
We haven't met a better staff! A kettle in the room would not be out of place... And we did not manage neither to get bathrobes nor lighting fixed in our room :-(
The computer system was down at the time of check-out and had to wait a long time (in the end did a manual check-out).
The breakfast was good. This hotel really is not up to Sofitel standard. The rooms and public areas are dated and pretty shabby. The room is dark because there is no light in the middle of the room - making it difficult to find things. The bathroom is okay but doesn't include conditioner, the shower is over the bath. There is only one computer for guests and its used heavily, so bring your own laptop if you need to do business. Two of the staff members were really helpful, but one staff member was quite snooty about helping me find details for an excursion. This hotel gets a four star rating only because it offers 24 hour room service etc, not because of the quality of the accomodation. The location is close to the trade fair grounds and close to the main train station (although on the business side of the train station not the sleazy side), but 1 or 2 kms from the main shopping streets/centre of town - which is an okay distance walking up, but a little far on the return trip once you've been shopping all day. The purpose of my stay was mixed - conference/busines and 2 days over the weekend.
Close to main station without being in the red light district.
Good location with good access to the airport, trains and city center.
location and the price Internet connection did not work
Close to Embassy
I Liked the location as it was just across the road from where I had to do business. For the price all facilities were ok The bed and pillows were not the best
breakfast was very good, there was a lot of choice and very tasty. the ease and closness to frankfurt center, hotel is very central. no
Very good location, close to city center, easy to find, good price, breakfast was ok.
breakfast, being close to city center
Clean, basic, honest hotel close to the Messe in a very pleasant neighbourhood.
Close to messe and citycenter The comfort was nor good. Parking very difficult.
A good buffet breakfast. Hot water in the shower. Cable TV. Quiet at night.
Rooms have a good bathroom, always clean, very good breakfast, very good staff. Hotel is in a very calm area of the city. 2 minutes walking distance to subway, 5 minutes walking distance to exhibition center, 15 minutes walking distance to railway station and entertainment area. Building is a little bit old and rooms have interesting shapes.
It's very close too Fair and center off town. Verry silent part off Frankfurt.
Helpfulness of staff
Location is great. Close to all museums and centre of the city. rather poor choise of bath supplies
The location was very convenient to the train station, without being in the red light district. It was in a very quiet neighborhood and very relaxing. I pity all those attempting to book near the train station and winding up in a hotel right next to a strip club. I booked this hotel after reading horror stories from other readers about hotels with cockroaches, bed bugs and all-night clubs. I'm very happy with the decision I made. It's only a 5 minute walk from the train station and as you're walking through the red light district to get to the hotel, you'll see how lucky you are not to be staying in a hotel any closer. Everything was sparkling clean, the staff was most helpful, and the breakfast downstairs in the morning was very tasty. The first half of my first night there was one of the worst in my life, though I managed to adjust and the rest of my stay was very pleasant. All the pillows they have are Euro Squares, which, as an American, I was not quite used to. The first pillow I asked for was very lumpy, so I asked for another and they obliged. The blanket also doesn't hang off the edge of the bed as I was used to, but came to just about the edge of the bed with one person under it. Also, it is quite a walk to the main shopping area, but that was OK with me because I only went to explore that area once just to see what was there. Strangely-sized bed dressings aside, this is a fantastic hotel.
very pleasant stay No complaints
Close to the fair ground, nice small hotel, near restaurants, friendly staff. Bed, matress quality very poor!!! It was not horizontal and sinking/sloping to one side.
Staff were very helpful all the time. Physical proximity to the fair. Breakfast buffet was limited, quantities of food a little considering the fully booked nature of the hotel. Some plates on the buffet were left empty and were not replaced although everybody came to breakfast at the same time. There are no coffee pots on every table, to have another cup of coffee you have to wait until you catch the waiter's eye to ask for more coffee.
excellent position - very close to city centre/clean/very friendly and helpful staff/nicely decorated rooms a bit too small especially our twin room
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the main Frankfurt train station. The hotel is a short walk from the Opera house and square where we had a nice dinner at an outdoor cafe (there were 4 cafes to choose from). We took the ETS tour of Hiedelberg and Rhine River. I would not recommend this tour company. We were leaving early (6:00a) on the last day of our stay and requested breakfast earlier than the scheduled time. The hotel accomodated our request. We were a couple and our beds were not close together...we had two separate twin beds. We enjoy sleeping together so that was a disappointment. This hotel is probably more appropriate for business than pleasure.
Location Too expencive for this kind of hotel
Proximity to the Messe, just a few minutes on foot. The breakfast although quite expensive was excellent. No lift but the reception staff did offer their assistance.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast choice was very good.
close to the frankfurt messe, a good, no frills hotel !
The proximity to the fairground was the most important reason for choosing this hotel. And the reasonable price we got by booking early. I (we) thought the breakfast was far too expensive. Instead of having breakfast at the hotel we found a restaurant with an excellent breakfast buffet at around half the price in the hotel.
Excellent location with parking. Spacious room.
work at Frankfurt Messe
Clean room and quiet The price of the breakfast was laughable. 32 euros for me and my wife to have breakfast! for six days that is 192 Euros for two people. Don't come here if you have a family. The reception told us the charge for a local call was 30cents per min. for a five minute call they ended up charging 10 euros. This was not good. Also the problem is this is not a hotel but a bed and breakfast -$ there is no reception after 10 or 11 in the evening. I do not recommend this place. I know there are better hotels around.
The location and convenience - short hop to the stadt
Not knowing what to except, Hotel Liebig was a really pleasant surprise. Being at a nice quite neighborhood it is a great opposite to busy atmosphere of Frankfurt.
Family operation with attention to detail. Clean, relatively quiet, well maintained. Tried to charge extra EUR 5 for wireless after booking said wifi included. Only found charge by reviewing bill and had to haggle until the owner removed the charge.Too bad, otherwise fine.
Its convenience to the city centre shopping area and Christmas Market The fact that there was no lift and we had to climb 96 steps to reach our bedroom which was on the top floor
Very nice hotel, situated in a chic and quiet area in the centre of Frankfurt. The hotel is situated in a beautiful mansion. Various restaurants of all types in the vicinity of the hotel.
The location is a very special and surprised one. Near the old town (about 1,5 km), the hotel has an elegant and quiet residencial neighborhood. The building is stylish and keeps the original architecture and decorative details.
The room was comfortable with easy access to city central. We thought the breakfast at 15 E extra was good, but goodoverpriced. For two of us, it was $40 USD and not so special.
The desk staff were friendly and helpful. Also the quiet and safe location of the hotel. The twin beds we had in our room which were felt would be more suited to children than two adults.
Wi Fi did not work
It was pleasant to stay in this Hotel!! Nothing!
location (next to fair, train station, center)
Location, personal service and proximity to the shopping district at Frankfurt. Hotel allowed us the use of their luggage storage even as we took a 2 nights trip to Paris NA
Helpful reception staff 1. no refrigerator in room 2. no method of queuing up for the internet 3. small choice of breakfast food
The hotel was only 100 yards from the start line of the Frankfurt Marathon which was ideal for me. It was also only a 20 second walk from a U bahn station which connected you to the heart of Frankfurt in just 10 mins. The hotel staff were friendly and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was more than satisfactory. The Main station is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The bathroom was a little bit smaller than I expected and there was only 1 English channel on the TV.
Gym is really good. General feeling is also nice. Good location - 5 min from Hbf and 15 from CityCenter by walking. WiFi is extreamly bad in room. Breakfast is same everyday.
Good position for Messe good range of eating places near by
Quiet area, close to city and exibition area, good parking
i don't like anything in this hotel i don't like this hotel
Friendly and helpful staff lack of airconditioning
The rooms were delightful. Clean, very comfortable. The essence of old world European charm. Nothing.
Location was important, proximity to the town center in walking distance.
The room was old world design and very comfortable.Sofas and lounge chairs Room for everything and thoughtful extras. Excellent. We would recommend this hotel to all.
room quality, staff professionalism lots of steps and no elevator
location and quality of the room & amenities no airconditioning
-Rooms are very spacious and clean. Once heating turned on it is quite powerful and heats room quickly. Quiet location. -It was disappointing that the guesthouse did not provide a Kettle with Tea/Coffee provisions especially as rooms have a kitchen. --The heating could do with being turned on for a few hours on the day of the guests expected arrival as the room can get quite cold in winter with the heating switched off.
free wired internet worked perfectly
Good location, good rooms, friendly staff As stated by others there is no lift and the stairs are steep and difficult to navigate with any reasonable size suitcase. The breakfast option is limited and rather expensive, eat elswhere..........
Good location in a residential area close to the train station. Although we had a kitchnette, there was no place to eat (only 2 chairs and a small desk) and no cooking utensils provided (only plates, silverware, cups). We had a balcony, but no chairs to put outside and sit. The breakfast was a fixed price (10.50 Euros) with no options for more or less food at differing prices, so we opted to eat at the train station. There was no reception area to sit and wait for friends to arrive and street parking is scarce.
Helpful staff, tasteful furnishing, situated very near to banks and opera nevertheless quiet
The room I stayed in was lovely; elegantly furnished, it was actually a bedroom plus kitchen/office area with French doors to a balcony overlooking the charming garden. I also enjoyed the breakfast served in my room, especially the large pot of good coffee. Although there was a little kitchen, I wanted to make a cup of tea, and was given a pot to boil water, which was fine. I am thinking of booking again, and hope more kitchen related items would be available, as I sometimes like to fix a light dinner.
Very clean and comfort. Easy access to the city center.
Plenty of space for a good price. Quiet area.
Our room was affordably priced, but felt like a honeymoon suite! It was a great spot to see the city. None
the owners are great.
The attention was absolute excellent.... the room was great and also the breakfast.... I am really happy I stayed there.
Nice and calm family hotel situated in the nice residential area of Frankfurt (20 min. walk from Alte Oper), very friendly staff
Nice calm and quiet pension in very nice surroundings. Good restaurants close by and fair chances for parking near by as well. Breakfast was rather ordinary, I like a delicious breakfast when I am away on business.
Suite room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good, punctual and with a wide variety of selections. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Location is tucked near a small park and close to museums and several good local restaurants. Some rooms look out upon stark walls and unattractive yards. No elevator/lift, but then I did not need one.
Although the hotel is in a very busy location with lots of shops and cafes, it was really quiet at the hotel and easy to get a good night's sleep. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We liked the hotel so much that we booked it again for our stay before flying home.
Friendly Staff, Good daily breakfast, Clean Room. I was on the 3rd floor and no elevator. This is a very small Hotel with may be 10 room? Took me 2 days to get a Ironing Board and went to the exhibit with semi-wrinkle clothes.
Very Clean, quiet and comfortable and a nice informal breakfast room.
too high price during for the value (it was exhibition period)
The high grade of personal service level.
Close to the "messe" where I had my business meetings. The fact that I had to stay and could not cancel out the last day and had to pay in full and felt that I was a prisoner of the circumstances. Lousy customer service. I will not use booking.com again, there was no flexibility from anyone despite the fact that I stayed for 6 days and had to pay for seven. An absolute abomination. Be careful what you sign up for, this is a trap.
excellent value for money, super-convenient location. the room is spacious and clean, very functional.
That it was a quite well located hotel, beside the u bann and easy to get into the city centre and other areas. Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The only extra thing i felt i would have liked was a kettle in the room to be able to make tea/coffee
confort bed, nice place no hot meal for breakfast. this hotel is not big as we expected for instant the reception work from 7am to 22 not more, but there are very welcome and helpful
The room was very comfortable and hotel staff are very kind.
It was very nice only problem was too expensive although all hotels gets 300-400 percent extra for the rooms during fairs in Frankfurt
Hotel employees were very polite and courteous. Rooms were clean and quiet at night. I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel and would recommend it to everyone.
The nice and big rooms and the service of the stuff , and the fact that it is small and just across the street to the Messe
Yes the Hotel was great the room was very large in size. No it was great!
Great location near the Messe Bad bed
close to messe frankfurt
it is convenient, as it very close to the fair ground. The staff is nice and friendly. Prices during "Buchmesse" are quite expensive, as in most hotels in Frankfurt
Staff of the hotel is quite helpful and location of the hotel is great for access to Fair grounds, less then 10 minutes walking, most of it through the park. Toilet & bathroom facilities very out of date and not so well maintained, wooden window frames do not protect from any of the noise, we were waking up with birds every day, which was about 4.30- 5 in the morning. Also the double room actually had two queen beds rather then a double one. Not going back.
The staff were the most helpful, friendly and considerate that I have encountered in the last 20 years. They went out of their way to help us. The furnishing and fittings in the room were absolutely beautiful. The hotel was quiet and in a very nice, pleasant and safe area.
Very friendly and helpful staff, advising on restaurants and directly making reservations for you. Really visit Bistro Marietto/Kettenhofweg/walking distance hotel when you're there. Nice atmosphere and superb food for it's price-range. Hotel easy walking distance from the Frankfurter Messe. Very nice breakfast buffet. Superior Room: nice, big and clean.
