Pros: Big newish car, easy drop-off, very low rate.
Cons: It was a Jeep Compass with a very small engine. Therefore the car was struggling sometimes with even basic highway acceleration. Other than that everything was great.

Cons: I reserved an economy car to save gas . The person at the counter said they were all out of the cars , and the only vehicle a big car. She was very rude and said either I take that car or find another rental car place.

New car experience
Pros: Sporty little red Jeep, was a different driving experience for me. It was fun to drive and easy to adjust seat and mirrors. Good visibility and I felt comfortable in it right away.
Cons: The vehicle, despite giving the appearance of a 4x4 off road potential - it did not have a lot of guts. 4 cylinder with no overdrive left us knowing this would not be our choice of a full time car. But it was still a great choice for a change of pace and it served our needs well.

They forgot our child car seat
Pros: Price seemed good, but can't rate anything else as we cancelled our reservation due to a major error on Payless' part.
Cons: Landed after midnight to find out they'd forgotten a car seat for our youngest child (which I had called and specifically ordered several days prior). Fortunately one of the competing rental services was still open, so we were able to cancel the Payless reservation and switch.

Bate and Switch!
Pros: Easy to get out of there. Was helped right away, handed the keys and was on my way in a clean car.
Cons: When I gave the time that I would be dropping off the next day, I was handed the keys and told how much my total would be. When I looked at my receipt, I found that I was charged for an extra day, plus all taxes and fees that go with it. Although I stated exactly when I was bringing the car back and was given a total based on this, they failed to mention that because it was a few minutes after 24 hours since I picked it up, I would be charged for the extra day. And to top it all off, the representative on the phone that explained this to me today was rude and condescending

Suspicious gas gauge and too much up selling at th
Pros: Car was clean, if somewhat loud
Cons: The "up selling" was too much. The counter guy pushed hard to sell me a $60/day "protection" package on a rental that was nominally $10/day. Because it was snowing, I opted for the collision damage waiver - again more than 2 times the cost of the car. As we had packed in and were getting ready to pull out, he told me that the car handled poorly in the snow.
And there was something off about the gas gauge. We got the car and it read "full." We drove a total of 49 miles in an economy, fuel-efficient car. On the way back to the airport, it still read "F" but we stopped at the gas station that was about 500 yards away from the rental return and filled it until it shut off - it took 2.5 gallons (surprising for 49 miles in a fuel-efficient car). Then in driving that 500 yards, the gauge for the first time dropped below the "F". Dollar then charged me $13.99 as a "refueling service fee" to supposedly fill the tank, and refused to credit it back when I protested. There was definitely something suspicious in how that was handled.
Our $10 economy car rental ended up costing about $70 for about 17 hours and 49 total miles by the time all was said and done.

Pros: I called about 10 AM to advise them I would be about an hour and a half late late picking up the vehicle. Instead of 12 it would be more like 1:30 or 2PM. My paper work said that thy closed at 1 PM however they had decided to close at 12 PM. I asked them if they could stay open until I got there but they would not stay past 1230. Considering that it was a ten day rental I would have thought they would be more accomadating. They weren't and I had no car until Tuesday when I got one from the Enterprize at the airport who provide excellent service and flexibility.
Cons: Their service and restrictive way in which they operate. not customer oriented.

First bad experience at Enterprise
Cons: I reserved a car a month in advance from the Pittsburgh Airport. When I got there, I was told that the reservation was not made for the airport but from their corporate center, which was closed (at 4:30pm on Saturday!). They could only give me a same-class car for 3 times the price ($150 for 2 days, versus $45 for 2 days), because the US Open golf tournament was in town. I went to another company and got a slightly better rate, but ended up getting a car for $120. Very disappointing!

Cons: The location was 25 min and a $90 round trip cab ride to pick up. The enterprise at the airport was not willing to honor and the listing did not disclose that. We rented elsewhere but paid more here and that was for right

Pros: Car was good.
Cons: The receipt I signed said the total would be $145. I was charged $308. I called and was told they had accidentally charged me for an extra day and at twice the rate I should have been charged at. They said my new total was $134 and the rest would be refunded. It has been several days and I haven't received a refund.

Pros: Not much, the car was clean, but shouldn't that be expected.
Cons: Unfriendly staff both when renting and returning the car at the PIT airport. They acted annoyed that I wanted to give them my business. When renting, the agents were talking about other rentals, not giving me their complete attention. Upon returning the car, they couldn't find my reservation, why ? Because they had it under a totally different name. Probably because they were completely distracted during the rental process. I had to find the Kayak reservation on my phone to help them. This experience has convinced me I will never use Budget again.

Pros: The condition of the car was great, a newer Chrevrolet Malibu. Good gas mileage, great features, comfortable for long drives, etc.
Cons: The pick-up from BUF was a fiasco. The untrained counter person took almost 20 minutes at the counter to issue my car. I then received a telephone call from Budget two days later indicating that the car was not supposed to leave BUF. I was returning it to PIT, and the person had issued me the wrong car. When I returned the car at PIT, they could not find it in the system, and I was paraded back and forth between the Budget and Avis counters. I still don't have my receipt which they were going to e-mail me within an hour. A miserable experience!

-Car was smaller than imagined for intermediate SUV. A Ford Escape or Rav 4 would have been much bigger. We did not like the Jeep, as we had a lot of stuff to haul.

Expect to pay more
Pros: Although the price of the rental was very reasonable, and they did deliver what I rented, they took all of my paperwork from me when I dropped of the car. So when they charged my credit card more than what the receipt said I would be charged, I didn't have proof to dispute the overage. I now see that this is the norm from Hertz.

Pros: That after two hours on the phone, I got someone from Hertz customer service to cancel my reservation.
Cons: It was an absolute disaster! I asked for a car from the airport. When I arrived at the airport I found out from the Hertz desk that I was booked for a car out of downtown. They were unable to help me, and kept insisting I would need to contact carrental.com, who was the third party listed on my reservation-from Kayak. There was NO number for carrental.com and I kept being sent to Hotwire-who insisted they had nothing to do with carrental.com. After two hours of no help, I finally gave up and called Hertz customer service, who was able to help me-even though the Hertz desk insisted they would be able to do nothing. Not sure I will ever book through Kayak again.

Pros: Kyle and his associates are a pleasure to deal with. They are kind and always seem to be in a positive mood. I rent from that office several times a year, so this is not a one-time observation.
Pros: Car was very clean. The personel were very friendly and nice especially in Pittsburgh. Car was a brand new car.
Cons: I wish we could have an Ezpass. I forgot to ask and there was no option on online reservation.

Do Not Try To Ask A Simple Question
Pros: Overall, everything was good, excellent even.
Cons: Actual pick-up and drop off were excellent, the problem I had was in the drop-off: Orlando International Airport has two terminals, different airlines in each. I did not know if this applied to the car rentals as well. Your system makes it very hard to get to talk with a person, as this question would not apply to the voice operating system. Very frustrating while in traffic driving around the airport, to the point that I doubt I'll use you again. I.E., if I choose to talk with an operator DO NOT program the computer operator to persist in it's attempt to service me. I have no aversion to using the computer operator, I just knew it could not help.
